Last year or so ago after passing by Cafe X20 several times we decided to finally stop in. It was quiet inside with several people smoking the Hookah, it was a new sight for me. I ordered the lamb chop plate, my partner ordered fish. We shared our food and I tell you, the food was absolutely delicious. And the margarita was made special for two. Well, I visited the other day and ordered my lamb chop meal, got it home, opened the container and viewed this beautiful looking meal, I wanted to exhale the entire meal at one time because it looked so nice. Everything was great, until I said to myself, the flavor is delicious, but this doesn't taste like lamb. And I noticed a slit in the meaty portion which wasn't there last year, I guess the changed something. And by the bone, it was a little stringy, I don't remember that either. The chop appeared a little charred, I lost my appetite, after I had almost eaten just about everything. But I did notice a difference in flavor and questioned what I was eating. It looked like delicious lamb, but didn't taste quite like the lamb I've eaten; maybe it was a different breed of lamb?? Should I let this one time situation affect my rating of Cafe X20? I'd like to know where they get their lamb and if it's GMO or natural. read more

This is my parents' favorite middle eastern restaurant, and I've dined there 3 times this year. I always order the quails, 4 butterflied quails pan sautéed w minced garlic & lemon juice, and they always do a great job on this tasty dish. My Mom always orders kibbeh neyeh, finely minced raw beef mashed w bulgur, topped w olive oil, scallions & pine nuts. She always shares it, and it's the best one I've tried so far. My Dad usually orders the lamb chops plate, which comes w rice pilaf, side salad, + 2 sides. They have a large drink selection (alcoholic & non). I always get the mint tea. For dessert, they make a delicious knafeh, a traditional dessert made w spun pastry soaked in syrup, layered w cheese, topped w pistachio. Everything I've tried here is great. Incredibly disappointed in Cafe X2O. This past New Year's Eve, I placed a mobile pickup order for 5:30. I placed the order hours in advance and I provided thorough detail of what I was interested in ordering, which was primarily chicken kebab because a lot of my family doesn't eat beef. When I arrived to pickup my order at 5:30pm, an hour before closing time, I was hardly greeted by the worker at the desk. He was in no rush. I told him my name for the pickup and he quickly walked over to his supervisor to handle the matter. While I don't recall the supervisors name unfortunately, he basically said he didn't have any of the food we ordered. Mind you, there was NO NOTICE provided to me. They could've emailed, called, or texted. He showed NO remorse. He didn't apologize or even seem embarrassed. He finally said he could have the kitchen prepare beef and fries -- not even remotely close to what I ordered. The exchange was super unprofessional. Needless to say, my family and I will not be returning here. Their team is unreliable and ungrateful for business. I hate to leave bad reviews but due to their lack of communication and professionalism, this was absolutely necessary. Our holiday was much more stressful than it needed to be because of their recklessness. read more

Wow! I really enjoyed this place. I was surprised by the portion size and the wide variety of menu choices. Their rice was the best part. Tasty, moist and a perfect side with the rest of the meal. Most Mediterranean places have dry and bland rice. Everyone at my table got a different protein with their plate. I got the shrimp plate and the pieces were large and perfectly grilled. The others got Salmon, White Fish and Chicken kebob plate. And everyone enjoyed their meal and cleaned their plates! We came on a Sunday for lunch and there was ample parking and not too crowded until closer to 1pm. The service was also attentive and the food was all served promptly. I've passed by this location many times on Foothill, so after the recent Yelpies event in December I knew I had to come here to dine in. I brought my coworkers and we all got the weekday lunch special with a drink, chicken kabob, rice, salad, pita bread, and garlic paste. It was a fantastic deal for $12! We also added a hummus and pita for the table to share. Half of us couldn't even finish the lunch plate since the portion was quite generous. They also offer hookah on the menu if you are into it. I've visited this place a few times over the past few months. Overall, their food menu is quite good, and I particularly enjoy their lunch specials for the great value and quality. However, I've noticed that some of the servers can be quite rude, with the exception of a young, polite-looking guy who stands out for his courteousness. Today, I placed a to-go order and brought it to the office, only to find that utensils weren't included in the package. How am I supposed to eat my food without utensils? Am I expected to use my hands? Also, while the lunch special is a good deal, it's disappointing that drinks aren't included for to-go orders--only for dine-in?? It's a bit frustrating. read more

Great food and cool people. I've been here twice for the hookah, but only the most recent time for the food. The pricing is very fair and the amount of food they give you is generous. The first time I came was for drinks and hookah and that was pleasant. Stayed for about an hour something and it was laid back. The hybrid indoor/outdoor like structure was interesting and I wasn't a huge fan of it the first time. Second time I came pretty late for dinner and remembered this place. I liked the environment more this time and was really surprised at how good the food was and how generous the portions were. We wanted to do some hookah after our meal but didn't notice we spent so long eating. We asked if it was still okay and they advised us it wouldn't be worth our money since it takes time to prep the hookah and get it to optimal usage; it would be like 5-10 minutes of us actually being able to do it before they closed. I really appreciate that honesty and transparency. They could've just charged us, and then when it hit closing time, ask us to pay and leave, but they told us it wasn't worth it and it would be better to come back another time. We decided to go with it anyways since we went there originally for the hookah but got sidetracked on the food. They were friendly, patient, and gracious enough to go with it even though they were closing. We stayed until closing and were getting ready to leave but they were really chill and said to not rush, so we stayed like 3 minutes past and then left so they could clean up and close. The honesty to tell us that it would not be worth it, and then the kindness to give us a little extra time to enjoy it and get a bit more worth from it, really makes this place and the character of the staff outstanding. But for the customers who are kind and don't come in late like I rudely did, the food and hookah experience on its own is great. The aforementioned experience I had really showed their great customer service, though I would not want to overstay again or have others stay past closing; and respect their operating hours. read more

This restaurant refused me and my service dog that I need. They told me that the dog needs to be there for eye seeing only. According to the ADA restaurants cannot refuse service dogs (it's against the law). I come to this place often and am pretty upset with their lack of knowledge about the law and human rights. They humiliated me in front of the whole restaurant instead of talking to me quietly outside. They have two different signs at this place which is misinforming. I have never been refused service for my disability. I feel very discriminated against. My dog is well behaved and wasn't acting aggressively (my friend is my witness). "We're too busy". We attempted to make an order through yelp and the system does not work. we loved the spot; we tried to get help to fulfil the order however one of the ladies was rude answering the phone call. She didn't take the order like a previous employee had helped us when the site was down. However, she didn't do anything, stated we did something wrong, and their system worked when we had called for the system not working. We did get turned away from it afterward.
