Such a wide variety of desserts and beverages. It was my first time here and I was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance seemed more upscale and intimate than a typical cafe or dessert joint. Clean, friendly, and ample seating. The only downside, if I could find one, would be parking. I ended up getting the Caramel Cinnamon Honey Bread, and it is a treat for the taste buds! Caffe Bene is alright. I never really go there for drinks or food but more for their study environment. This one had tons of space and seating which is huge! and i was really impressed by that. If I could I would give this place a 0.0000000001 out of 5 for the review. This place is hella expensive and only cares about your money. Customer service is shit. Me and my friends were there studying there at night. We knew about the policy in buying an item to sit in the cafe so we got one gelato since we wanted to share and not all of us were hungry. Then comes an employee saying that she wanted to check our receipts to see if we bought an item. We gave it to her and she went away. She then came back saying her supervisor needs us to buy more items equivalent to the amount of people present in the table. There were so many people there that only bought 1 item between their group but we were the only ones targetted. Why us? Because were not korean? Well I'm sorry that I'm not. They tried to gain more money and instead gained a bad reputation. The only thing good about this place is the free water. In the end we were kicked out. Never want to come here again. This cozy modern place is best for enjoying chat time with friends or family gatherings. Coffee aren't too strong like Starbucks's which fully loaded with caffeine, but best taste and full of scents. I really like this place & it's a good place to study it's just the wifi is so slow. They have two internet logins but both are equally slow. I feel like if I'm paying as much as I am for the drinks that my wifi should at least be lighting fast. They have signs posted throughout the cafe that new wifi is coming soon but I've been coming since it has opened & nothing has changed. I might have to change study spots which is a bummer because I like the atmosphere here. read more

Every time I come here I absolutely love it! Hands down one of my favorite spots! Earlier is the best you get a perfect table the music is peaceful jazz. The food is amazing! Anybody have any tips on getting their coffee in a glass cup? The first couple times I got one I never order to go and I've asked if I could get the drinks in their cute glass cups since but they bring it in a to go cup. I'm such a dork I can't help it the last couple times the presentation is freaking adorable so I look forward to it. I'm not someone who sends a perfectly good drink back because of this so I don't say anything. I'm just not sure I'm asking the right way perhaps? I like being direct but not feeling like a douchebag. Maybe a caffeine aficionado out there could make a suggestion how best I can effectively make this request? Charged me $6 for an iced tea and filled it to the brim with ice. Sweet employee responded with "that's how management requires us to make it" I asked for a refill and was charged $.55. Not a huge deal, but I wasn't impressed by the way business is being done here. read more

Nice place to study if you don't need an outlet or WiFi. Outlets are available but not at every seat. WiFi , as others have mentioned, is impossible unless you are the only one in the store. Ham and Swiss croissant breakfast is my go to or red bean bingsu if I'm with a friend. read more

I have come here many times before, but never coming here again because of how shitty their customer service is. I was sitting at a table waiting for my friend to arrive (we both planned to study together here). She was running really late and I continued to wait for her. I was reading a book at a corner table when one of the employees came up to me and said "you have been here for awhile according to our cameras and you haven't ordered anything." I told him that I was waiting for my friend to come because we usually get something together. He said that this place was for paying customers only. I told him, I am planning on getting a drink I am just waiting for my friend to come. Mind you, I have been here plenty of times with my friend, so much so the employees know exactly what she orders each time and rings it into the cash register before she even orders. My friend texted me saying she was still running late and so as I was getting up to buy something another employee came and said "I don't mean to be rude but you still haven't bought anything. We usually tell this to our customers, who have been here for awhile and haven't purchased anything. (I was there for 45 mins). Also you are using our wifi and facility." She even proceeded to say that I can't have outside drinks (she was referring to my freaking water bottle). I was pretty annoyed at this point, especially because this employee has seen me dozens of times and knows exactly who I am and how much business I have given them in the past. Literally, this was my study spot for months. I told her that you know I come here all the time and have been a paying customer. My friend, who I usually come with is running late and so I was just waiting for her. I also told her that I never use their wifi because it SUCKS as you will see from the rest of the comments (I always use my personal hotspot or time warner cable). The internet is super spotty and slow is an understatement, despite claiming recent "upgrades." Really not a great place to study if you are planning on using their wifi. Overall, the people here are rude and don't care at all about customer service and the facility is really not an ideal study place if thats what you are looking for. Also their drinks are really overpriced, but they are decent. I FOUND A MUCH BETTER CAFE. I recommend going to Green Door Powered by Intelligentsia. It's a hidden jem in Carson and its AMAZING! compared to the Gardena branch, this branch is not worth it... yes, its clean (heck, its new) ambiance is nice, but... parking leaves some to be desired and the Mocha Latte was horrid. had to take it back to tell the barista. it was not as good as the Gardena Branch. ... maybe in time they'll get it right, but i won't be returning... there is a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf nearby that will work as well... *something to consider* read more
