A way to get back to true north in terms of espresso. Recently, I've noticed a trend of roasters/shops trying to get inventive with their espresso. In a reaction (perhaps) to homogenized corporate espressos, many shops have opted for single varietal, single origin beans. Then they take these beans and put them to a lighter roast, resulting in more a more acidic (yet fruity and 'interesting') espresso. However, there are times when I just want a delicious espresso shot. I don't want to taste berries, vegetables and citrus. I just want silky chocolate notes, hints of caramel and sweetness...That's where Fiore comes in. If you feel as if your palette has wandered too far afield, and you want to get your bearings and remind yourself where true north is. Come here. read more

I am also surprised at many of the bad reviews this place has gotten. I go here every Saturday and Sunday morning and get the same drink, it is always excellent and I have never had a problem with service. Yes, sometimes if there is a line you have to wait, and the set up is a little weird because the timing of ordering the drink and paying doens't quite work at the counter. I definitely don't think this has been a HUGE issue for me in the past. Also excellent Raisen-pecan toast, I will continue my weekend visits here. read more

This is a cute little organic coffee shop on Queen Anne. Nice atmosphere, friendly baristas, great music, and really good coffee too! There were very few options for pastries, and the bagel I got was nothing special. Overall though, a great little place to sit and enjoy some coffee and a good book. read more

I think Cafe Fiore has excellent coffee but I no longer feel good about handing my money over to this particular establishment (Galer location) because of the TERRIBLE service that I get every time I visit. Why do the female staff that work there have such poor attitudes? Would it kill them to crack a smile and let go of their "too cool for school" attitude once in awhile? Amazing coffee, great neighborhood feel, & ample seating. It's no Vivace or Caffe' Vita, but it's your best option on the Hilltop.

I had been going to the Fiore in West Seattle and enjoyed their coffee and treats. I would stop by after walking my dog in Schmitz Preserve and we would sit outside together. Upon moving to QA I was hoping to keep up a similiar routine, but this location is not dog friendly. I completely understand not allowing dogs inside, but to have a very passive aggressive sign outlining the laws against tying up a dog outside, which is meant to prevent an abusive situation where a dog is tethered outside most of the day, just plain tells me that me and my dog aren't welcome. Luckily, this is Seattle with many dog friendly cafes. We will go where we are wanted. read more

Since there has been turnover in staff this shop's customer service is really bad. I manage a coffee shop so I know what it's like to have a grumpy barista every now and then but baristas are acting like you are an inconvenience when ordering coffee. I love the location and the regular customers are wonderful. It's painful to see customers wait in line and watch as the baristas talk to each other and roll their eyes at customers. read more

Caffe Fiore is a casual neighborhood coffee shop that offers great sun tanning in the adirondack chairs in front. However, I find them to be very expensive. I ordered a medium hot chocolate and it was $3.25!!! For a hot chocolate!! That's more than Starbucks charges. I have also ordered several different bread and pastry items and have found each of them to be quite dry, such as the banana bread, donuts, etc. The hot chocolate was good, but definitely not worth $3.25. read more

Queen Anne has a lot of great options for excellent coffee. Caffe Fiore should be one of them because their product is good. Unfortunately, the service is consistently MEH (for lack of a better term). This weekend was no different. I kept thinking it would improve but it never has. Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. To maintain my sanity I've finally come to the sad conclusion that I can't keep going to Caffe Fiore. It will always be the place that could have been great, but isn't going to get there. The barista's aren't suddenly going to develop customer service skills let alone a sense of basic humanity, awareness or desire to develop a space that feels like community. (And no I'm not looking for saccharin sweet service, just basic interpersonal skills would do.) Fortunately the alternatives on Queen Anne leave me with plenty to enjoy: El Diablo, Cafe Ladro, Bustle or down the hill to Uptown. read more

Decent beverages but very underwhelming experience. Service: I am surprised to see so many positive reviews on customer service. I have stopped going to Caffe Fiore because I am tired of the attitude I get from the servers. When did unfriendly become synonymous with cool? Layout: The outdoor seating is outstanding when it is nice out. The Adirondack chairs make for a relaxing visit. The problem, however, is that Seattle weather is not typically conducive to sitting outside. This brings us to the interior, which is fairly limited in terms of seating availability as well as comfort. If you are going to overpay for coffee, there are plenty of other good places to go. read more

The last two times I have tried to go to Caffe Fiore, an hour before their posted closing hour, the coffee shop has been completely shut down. No notice of a change of hours and no recognition that I, a paying customer, is attempting to spend money on their overpriced coffee. I have noticed that they have yet to change their posted hours on their doors, both in Queen Anne AND in Ballard, and these hours have not yet been adjusted on this yelp site. I have a full gift card that I plan on giving away because I am dead tired of trying to go to a coffee shop to buy coffee when they are not even open. Not good enough to risk it. read more

Staff here is pretty great. Barry and Lee are my two favorite baristas. They know how to spark up a convo and are extremely friendly. The coffee is pretty good stuff, but coffee shops are also about atmosphere. A lot of regulars come here, but unlike other places with regulars that make you feel "out of the club", this place welcomes you. When its sunny out, theres no better place than sitting on the adirondack chairs, outside, soaking up some rays, while sipping your coffee and watching the dog walkers pass on by. Living across the street definitely helps this places cause for me, but I would still give it 5 stars. Def a great place for weekend coffee and chill spot. read more

My husband and I take a walk to Fiore in QA for super yummy lattes nearly every single morning (I am not kidding)! Love their coffee, love the shop. It can get a little crowded especially when it's cold and rainy and everyone wants to be indoors. It's mind-boggling how the new owners have ruined what was once a wonderful neighborhood coffee shop. First, all the good employees were encouraged to leave, and then all the prices were raised, and then the coffee-card loyalty program was ditched, and then some of the outside seating was removed and not replaced, and then they started charging $2.75 for a biscotti, and then .... you get the picture. Color me as one more person confused about the reviews citing poor service. These are some of the nicest baristas in town. Maybe it helps that I have been going there daily for 4 years, but from the owner to every new barista I always find people to be warm, welcoming, quick to remember your name and drink etc. Most importantly, with a lot of good choices of coffee around town, I really like the profile of their roast, the space (Queen Anne is cozy and crowded, Ballard is simply gorgeous), and the overall vibe. Hands down my favorite coffee in town and the first place I go when I get back to Seattle from a trip. read more

Great coffee and wonderful staff, but it's some of the most expensive coffee in Seattle.

Cafe Fiore has now switched hands to Cafe Vita. The coffee is still good, albiet not quite as rich, but still very good. The problem is with the huge turnover of staff that seems to have taken place. Some of the new baristas are definitely NOT friendly, and one actually throws customers hateful glares for seemingly no particular reason. I get the holy creeps from that guy, and consequently, will not be going in there anymore. It's too bad, as it used to be my all time favorite:-( read more

I went in the other day to get an iced drink, and it tasted like coffee water. If you are going to use a fruity and delicate roast, please be aware that they don't work in iced drinks. The flavor and richness washes right out. Please get a richer darker roast for your iced drinks!! It's a shame that a sophisticated cafe such as yours as not thought about this!!! read more

I'm very surprised at any negative reviews about Fiore! I frequent this place about 5 times a week, and fom day one, the service has been top notch. By the second or third time in they remembered my drink, now it's to the point if I say I need 2 or 3 drinks, they know I'm ordering for my wife and child and refer to them by name. Within a month I had 2 or 3 more golf buddies! They always come into my work as well, they are even better customers! I'm 20 years older than most everyone that works there, so it has nothing to do with age, they're just the most friendly baristas in town, BY FAR!!! I worked as a barista for 10 years, I know what good coffee is, and they do it best! Keep up the good work! read more
