Food always delicious and I'm so so happy to see that there were more customers and more workers!! Yay! Got the salt and pepper Dungeness crab, Cajun shrimp and mussels with Cajun fries! Very very good and filled us all up. Every time I come here they are always so kind and helpful. I love it!! My tummy is very full and happy. Btw, the crab is made with chili slivers and lots of fried garlic. So so good but It takes a little work. I don't mind and just always order that. Always love coming to Cajun King in Aiea. We usually come here for dinner and surprising we never have to wait long for a table. The service here is really fast and the workers always check up on you. We usually get the snow crab combo and Cajun chicken wings on the side. The chicken wings are a good size and really juicy. You can also get an option for Cajun fries. The snow crab combo has a fair amount of snow crab. Lots of crawfish and shrimp to share as well. The corn is also soft and juicy. 03/05/2025 - This is not the first time for me, but it was for my fiancé. I ordered no spice (boring) garlic butter Dungeness boil, and she ordered the mild (lil spice) snow-crab legs. On the side, my niece ordered the tri-combo which consisted of fried onion rings, tater tot with cheese, mozzarella cheese, chicken wings and string beans with garlic sauce. My niece and fiancé both ordered 2 Stella Artois. We waited about 15 mins before the food was brought out. I could see it nice and hot. We were excited to dig in; didn't even take pictures lol. But I can tell you the food was good! It was time for a change from Kickin Kajun. The portion size was good enough to fill your stomach and the meat was juicy including the shrimp, mussels, clams, and corn. There was also potato included. Ambience is comfy with some music, staff has the customer service and always available for your needs. Price is right with the combo and the Stella Artois beer is $2.50 everyday! Made a take out order for our Father's Day celebration. The staff were friendly and courteous. Got our food home made our own butter and garlic sauce for dipping. The seasoning was not that great, the potatoes were undercooked and so was the shrimp. I guess there is a first and last for everything. read more

It's not my first time here & I always find myself back here after trying other seafood boil spots... they're located in waimalu near shiros saimen. Plenty of parking outside. Inside is clean & service is always good. The food is always so tasty, but I think what makes pulls the seafood boil together is their sauce choices. I love their Cajun garlic butter sauce, it's always my go to sauce choice when I go there. I love that they also have other dishes to choose from (app style) if you wanna munch on something before your boil. Food usually comes out very quickly which is a plus side. Only downside of Last night when we went was they seemed to have an issue with their ac, it was leaking but still working. They had some set up to catch water leakage. My other visits here that wasn't an issue. Probably need to get it fixed. My one corn on the cob I ordered was a bit mushy, and my bfs crawfish he said was over cooked.... But the sauce he said is what made it good to him still... I guess sometimes it's a hit or miss but that doesn't steer us away from this place. It's still usually really good food. I loved this place years ago and i still love it now! Came with a group of 3 on a weekday around 5pm and was sat immediately. The staff was very helpful. I've been here before but my friends were first timers. Waitress gave us lots of recommendations which all were awesome. For appetizer we got the cheese curds which comes with A LOT! It was more than enough for the 3 of us. We also got the half dozen oysters, and the chicken wings with Cajun fries. I love their chicken wings. They are nice big wings with a generous amount of French fries. For my meal I got 1 dozen shrimp, added corn and sausage in the Cajun and butter sauce with I believe a mild Heat, and a side order of rice. This was way more than enough food, but it was so hard to stop eating. Don't forget your rice! The sauce on the rice is delicious! We got the king crab combo ($85) with a Cajun garlic butter sauce. It had a little bit of everything; shrimp, mussels, clams, crawfish, potatoes, corn and sausage. The crawfish was way overcooked.. we also had to order 3 size scoops of rice which is $2 per scoop... next time I'm gonna inquire about bringing my own rice (lol jk but not really). The restaurant itself isn't very aesthetically pleasing. All I can say is that it's definitely been there a while, and they haven't done any recent renovations. Service was good! I've been dining at this restaurant for quite some years already. We love to order that Dungeness crab combo number 2. We also love the chicken wing with french fries. They always come serving really really hot which is good. I must say when ordering Dungeness crab, it is hit and miss, several times, the Dungeness crab meat is not good. They are soft and mushy. Seems like they're servicing dead crab, but sometimes it is very good, like this last trip we visited, the crab is fresh. The staffs are always friendly. The crab combination we ordered comes with potato, sausage, shrimp, clam, mussel, corns and crawfish. Some other crab restaurant we went to, we have to pay extra for some of these items. The restaurant is a little bit dated especially the bathroom, it is pretty dirty. I posted a couple of pictures and you can take a look and Judge it yourself. Overall, the food is good. This place is located in the Waimalu Shopping Center close to Palama Market. When we walked in there tables spread out around the room, along the walls and in the center of the room. But clearly spaced out. Reservations are needed with parties over 6 people. It is best to call ahead as we did and was told no reservations were needed for our party if 8. It contained crab, mussels, clams, shrimp, crawfish, potatoes, sausage and corn. It came with a side of rice as well. You can choose your level of heat as well as the type of seasoning. I selected the Cajun garlic butter but I think they forgot the Cajun as I did not taste it nor did the color of the garlic butter look it. We always go to this location. Normally the snow crab legs are meaty but the past 2 times they were tiny!! It was almost not worth trying to open because the meat just wasn't there and it was hard to open since they were small They do make the 4 pieces of sausage big which I appreciate because they are so tasty. The flavor is unreal and flavorful. Plenty of butter and garlic. We also order the clams with a black bean sauce. Please try, it will satisfy all of your taste buds! We bought the fried Oysters. I didn't care for the batter. Maybe if they used a different batter, But it was still ok. The oysters were big and juicy. The waiter we had was the best! I really wish we got his name but since he had a mask on I could only get his eyes and hair. He was a young man, maybe 18 or 19. Dark hair and curly on top. He looked like he was mixed. He came to our table several times to ask if we were ok. Our daughter dropped her water on the floor and we didn't notice it until later. We felt bad. But he was very nice about it. Then a king crab combo in Cajun & garlic butter, volcanic spice. The food came out quick, and I mean like too quick. Don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing but okay. So the pork chop I thought might have been the wrong order? The menu states salt n pepper pork chop, I'm thinking It was going to be the same salt n pepper method and seasoning like the shrimp was. The pork chop that came out just looks pan fried, seasoned in like a light soy sauce flavor or something. It was very underwhelming. Salt n pepper shrimp was meh, edible. I've had better, I wish It had more flavor. I'm missing more of that salt and white pepper flavor. The picture I took made It look promising but I swear It just didn't hit right. King crab combo- comes with a variety of seafood. Clams, mussels, crawfish, king crab, ect. The king crab legs were really small for king crab. The Shell was so soft that It wouldn't even crack, It would just bend over lol. So I feel It was over cooked, and then It just didn't taste fresh. The crab meat itself was tough and salty which makes me believe the seafood isn't fresh. So volcanic spice level is suppose to be the hottest. I didn't get that heat. It just didn't satisfy, there's just not enough Cajun seasoning, not enough garlic. Everything fell short. Service was whatever. I don't like mine too spicy so I always get mild. The second time I came here with my friend she recommended the sausage and we even got some wine! Came to dine-in, and gonna just say this. We left here more satisfied than my most recent review of another place. Plus it was less than 1/4 of that bill & it wasn't even a buffet. We ordered crab legs in lemon & garlic butter, salt & pepper shrimp, clams w/ black bean sauce, beer battered onion rings, chicken & fries basket, garlic string beans, & fried bread pudding. I also had 3 Truly peach iced tea. It was all definitely worth it, it's much better in restaurant than take-out. Loved the string beans, it was crunchy and came with ALOT of garlic. Salt & pepper shrimp came with some good sized shrimp, fried chicken were big juicy drumettes not dry at all, & the fried bread pudding was Pleasantly VERY Good. Standard "chain Cajun" restaurant... offering a somewhat ok selection of Cajun-esque fare. With the emergence of Cajun cuisine popularity, this is one of about 6-7 similar themed places currently on island. Most of the seafood is frozen (can't ship live crawfish like you do for Maine lobster). As such, it's a cool fun place to dine if your "on the fang" for Louisiana food. We had visitors who wanted to try this place so we happily complied. Who doesn't love seafood? Been craving a bunch lately so decided to give them a try. As like many other Cajun restaurants they have seafood bags you can order or separate more affordable entrees. Being that we drove quite a bit to get here it was go big or go home! Went with the King Crab Combo side order extra pound shrimp.. cuz why not ! We also went with onion rings because we love em! Combo 3: King crab, shrimp, mussels, clams, crawfish, potato, corn, sausage. For the most part the shrimp mussels and sausage was okay but the king Crab was really dry.. crawfish tasted a bit rotten and the potato was undercooked. The sauce was minimal so usually we order side sauce to compensate but we were only allowed 1 extra side order sauce.. sauce was also a bit salty. Service: Very attentive, servers and host were really accommodating and nice. Drinks always full and although they can't account for the quality of the food made up for our experience. Overall: although the food was subpar, the service made up for our stay. Maybe the sauce we went with was on the saltier side? Now that I'm up from my nap, I can share my thoughts about my family's first lunch here. Judging by the lack of leftovers, the food was good! The mild Cajun and garlic butter seasoning was perfect for me, but too much for my mom and sis. My sis got some garlic butter on the side which hit the spot for her. My mom got the lunch combo with Cajun lobster and salt and pepper shrimp. The shrimp she said was really good, nice and crispy, so she could eat the whole thing...head and all. I enjoyed my bag of king crab legs and live Manila clams with a side of rice. No combo for me since I didn't want to waste precious real estate in my stomach on corn, potatoes, sausage, and the other seafood that comes in the combo. It was a good strategy because I finished my food like a champ. I did have a couple pieces off the Trio Sampler. I liked the sweet corn nuggets...and the cheese curds...and the onion ring. I liked everything I ate. The service was quick and friendly. They were busy, so I appreciated their attentiveness in keeping our water filled. This spot is me and my family's favorite place! My boyfriend and I will only go to Cajun King Aiea for our cajun needs. We've tried other places but this place is hands down our favorite in service and in food. Their sauces are just on point! We always get cajun & garlic butter. Sometimes for mild spice level, it might be a little bit too hot sometimes but its understandable - sometimes we might be heavy handed on seasoning sometimes. totally get it! Parking here has been great right now since not much people eat out at restaurants so you'll always find parking. For this order we took out to eat at home and I appreciated how they prepared our take out order. We had their fried chicken and cajun fries (also my fave! Try this while eating the seafood #bomb.com), they poked holes in it so it won't be that soggy and since our order was huge they separated it into two bags. No complaints. Located in the Waimalu Shopping Center this gem is quite spacious affording for social distancing during your meal. Parking is free, the lot is big. Employees are wearing masks.
