    Carne asada tacos
    Carolyn G.

The service was good. It was our first time there so I didn't know how it worked. I ordered tacos and picked carne asada. The salsa had good flavor. The restaurant was fine, clean tables and clean restaurant. The music was a little loud for my taste.

Super soft tacos (2x asada, 1x pastor)

My friends and I ended up at this Cali Spartan on San Felipe Rd after seeing how busy the downtown location was. This spot is in a nice plaza with plenty of parking. There are lots of tables inside and outside. Staff was super nice and attentive. We ordered the Cali tacos, regular tacos with pastor, and super tacos with both asada and pastor. My regular tacos were so delicious! Literally gone within 2 minutes. My friends also scarfed down their orders. We loved how loaded the Cali tacos were. They gave us so much fries!! I like the vibe of this Cali Spartan location and will probably come straight here instead of struggling to find parking downtown.

My friend and I chose to sit outside this past Saturday around lunch time. We informed the host and seated ourselves immediately upon arrival. Service was slow. We ordered the little mermaid burrito with fish & shrimp and no avocado or beans, and the super burrito with chicken and no pico de gallo (got the wet burrito for $1 more). The wait ended up being half an hour, and our items were not even served at the same time. My friend's wet burrito actually took about 5-6 minutes longer. Staff didn't even acknowledge the delay. These burritos were fat and stuffed with fresh and flavorful ingredients. They were definitely good, but not "30-minutes" good. I'm not faulting the restaurant for being busy, perhaps with takeout orders. But I can get similar dishes elsewhere twice as fast, even on a weekend. Hence why I didn't give 5 stars.

Super burrito made it a wet burrito for $1

Second time here. I ordered a super burrito and made it wet for $1 more . I came around noon on a Saturday and I was disappointed the food took 30 MINUTES . My friend ordered the mermaid burrito with fish and shrimp. I don't know why it took so long . Maybe the fish didn't get caught . When I asked the worker where my food was, I don't think she spoke English . So she started assume I wanted to make an order. The burrito was good . I think missing was a side of chips. Price was fair @ $15. What I really like s here is the orange sauce . It has a Smokey bacon flavor . Which is different than La Vic. Overall the wait was a downer cuz I had some friends in town wait for me.

The crispy tacos with lots of orange sauce are my faaavorite! I get carnitas and asada usually, but this time the carnitas was a little fatty. Usually it's crispy, but I think this location is the best of the three. They accept card and have self serve ice water and toppings. the workers were really helpful too.

On the house. Lovely customer service!!!!

Lovely customer service here! I've been here hundreds of times but this time I decided to finally leave a review because of how sweet and lovely the servers here. Today I got a guac and chips on the house and it makes me want to return to this location even more. Overall, the food is so good especially the crispy tacos. Would recommend to everyone!

Little crispy tacos and cali tacos

I've been to both locations, but the food is always consistent and great. I love the little crispy tacos. I usually get asada and al pastor. They are so flavorful and they are good portion for great price. The service is also good!

The food is always consistently good and the service is extremely nice and friendly

I enjoy visiting here, the service is consistently excellent. This location alone can maintain the ideal combination of great food and exceptional customer service.

Have been to the SJSU and Blossom Hill locations in the past, but my first time at this Evergreen location. It satisfied the craving as usual!! Sparcos is always my go-to Mexican spot in the South Bay. This location is super clean and new inside. We came on a Friday night at around 7:30pm, and the restaurant was mostly full, but there were still some empty tables open. Service is quick, and there's the self-serve station for cilantro/onions/radish/lime/salsa. I always get the Cali burrito since there's fries inside. It's always fresh and warm and, in my opinion, a good portion. Didn't get it this time, but the sopes and tacos are also some of my favs. Will be back!

    Nachos w/ Carne Asada

You honestly can't go wrong here. I have been coming here ever since they opened this location, though I've gone to their other locations in SJ. This location is in the plaza off San Felipe Rd and is spacious both indoors and outdoors. The staff here are incredibly welcoming and their service is great- I am always leaving here happy. OKAY THE FOOD: * Carne Asada Fries: holy HECK are they delicious. The portion is pretty big, so keep that in mind when ordering! (We also like to switch it up between asada and braised brisket) * Cali Burritos: An all time favorite (and craving tbh). I love to have this with carnitas and my partner loves the asada here. * Nachos: I love that it's loaded here, and you honestly can't go wrong with this dish. * Soft Tacos: again, an all time favorite and you truly can't go wrong. They have many variations of tacos, but I love their classic soft tacos. * Agua Fresca: my go to drink here- it's refreshing and pairs well with anything and everything here.

Double Meat Burrito (Carne y Pastor) Cali Fries
    Justin D.

3/3 locations experienced and this location lives up to the name. Came here after a pickleball session and was warmly greeted by the workers and seated immediately. Service was very attentive and accommodating; I enjoyed their smiles and enthusiasm. Interior design is very similar to their other locations and as soon as you step in you know dining at Sparcos. We tried a variety of items listed below! Wet Burrito Suadero 10/10 2x Meat Burrito (Asada y Al Pastor) 10/10 Cali Fries 8/10 Birria Burrito 8/10 Chicken Quesdilla 7/10 To begin with their Wet Burrito (Suadero) satiated my cravings completely once again. Their 2x meat burrito (Al Pastor y Asada) always satisfies and their portion sizing is superb for a real eater such as myself. (Also never order the lettuce in your double meat burrito, it ruins it in my opinion) Next, their Birria Burrito was pretty good as well! It has deep flavor especially with the dip that it is paired with but was a tad bit more oily than the other burritos. The Cali Fries were very good, they certainly loaded it up & it's a great option to get when you are craving that supplementary crunch! Finally the last item was the chicken quesadilla. It was as good as you would expect but the flavor may be a bit bland compared to the other dishes ordered. JD Big Back Tip: If you order the Cali Fries stuffing the fries into your burrito, taco, or quesadilla adds a great extra crunch in each and every bite. Be wary though, towards the end of the meal if it's been sitting for a while it will soak the paper underneath separating it from the basket it is served on.

    Super Soft Tacos

Arrived here on a Friday night and got seated immediately! The quality even compared to downtown is the same and consistent. I'm so glad I don't have to go to dtsj anymore for Cali Spartan. I tried the super soft tacos this time since I got dental work and they are soft indeed. I'd totally recommend if you also want less carbs haha same thing but just a thinner tortilla. I look forward to coming again whenever I crave tacos or Mexican food!

I love Cali Spartan, I recommend this spot to everyone! I've been to the downtown San Jose location, blossom hill location, and this location plenty of times and it always hits. I usually get the big crispy tacos which are delicious. Perfect crunch from the crispy shells, flavorful toppings, kick from the orange sauce, and juiciness from the meat. Can't get any better than that. I love the carne asada, pastor, shrimp, and lengua. I usually also share the Cali fries which is a generous portion that can definitely be shared between 2-3 people. Service is really friendly and quick here! Indoor and outdoor seating both available.

The churros were really good although we wish there was a non filled ones too and to have the optionof if we wanted it dressed up because churros are already super sweet with the cinnamonand sugar dusted but caramel and whip cream was added along with a strawberry filling. Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

We waited 1.5 hours to be seated while half the restaurant sat empty. After we were seated, it took about 30 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks, another 30 minutes before our order was taken, and then an hour for the food to arrive. Throughout the wait, several servers were gathered in the corner talking and laughing while tables--including ours--were left unattended. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the service. The meat was dry, lacked flavor, and the shrimp was so chewy that I couldn't finish it. It was honestly one of the worst shrimp dishes I've ever been served. I've seen countless influencers giving this place glowing reviews, and after eating here, I simply don't believe them. My experience was the complete opposite. If you appreciate good food and good service, I would strongly recommend spending your money somewhere else.

My wife is Latina, so we're pretty familiar with authentic Latin/Mexican flavors, and from the moment we walked in, we were a little unsure of what to expect. We completely understand we're in Willow Glen and that Copita is going for a more upscale take, but for us, authenticity and flavor still have to be at the heart of the experience. Our waitress was very friendly and polite, and this review is absolutely not a reflection of her service. However, when we asked about the style of the food, there seemed to be a little hesitation in explaining it, which made us even more uncertain about what we had gotten ourselves into. I don't like bashing restaurants or their food, so I'll simply say that, unfortunately, the highlight of our meal was the chips and salsa. The cocktails, on the other hand, were good and definitely not shy on the alcohol! Also, don't expect large portions. The restaurant is clearly aiming for a more upscale presentation and experience, so the plates reflect that. Overall, Copita just wasn't for us. This was our first visit and unfortunately will probably be our last. I genuinely wish them success, but I think a few changes, especially when it comes to the flavors and authenticity of the food could make a big difference.
