Gavin gave me two options initially, and I chose the second option replacing front right light with a used light and repairing the fender. Long story short, repairing the fender (making a bracket and welding) was done in same day, but due to ordering the wrong light twice and/or his incompetence dealing with tesla light programming, it took 1 week and 2 days to get my car back with me getting and delivering him the used light with matching part number myself. He kept blaming on the wrong used light that he ordered and kept being rude, whining to me about his time and money lost working on my car, telling me he is doing me a favor when it was his incompetence in ordering the right part or programming tesla light the whole time. I got sick and tired of hearing this BS (felt like he was a customer complaining) so much that I decided to not come back anymore and will go to a different PDR shop in the future. At one point, he requested I need to make an appointment at tesla so he can bring his car there. Second used light he ordered is "DOT 1077372-00-K", and my original light is "DOT 1077372-00-L". According to tesla and from my research, both lights are compatible, but he could not figure it out and at the end, he told me he needs exactly the same part which according to his words, he took a whole lot of time calling and searching for it. It took me 10 min to find whole bunch of them used and took me 30 min to locate the one that I can pick up locally (1hr 30min away) that worked after 5 min after I brought it to him. I wish he just told me the part number in the beginning, and I ordered it myself as if I did it, it'd be done in one day without all of his whining. His final bill was about $240 higher than the estimate as he added tech bill for $240 (he called tesla tech at one point that didn't go anywhere). After I came home, I also noticed one bolt with a washer below my wipers that he is not replying to me if it's from my car and noticed the upper tub under the hood was not clicked in properly. I was very frustrated, but I still was not going to leave a bad review for him considering my past experience, but as soon as I noticed he is ignoring my texts about the bolt, that was it. I won't go back even regarding this bolt that I have no idea where it came from. He never apologized to me even once during this whole time. His attitude was the opposite. Not sure what changed him.

They pull your car apart, one part at a time and give a cheap estimate to the insurance company and then they keep charging more as they work on the car and it's too late for the insurance company to back out of it and total the car, a true rip off. We took the truck in thinking these guys are good based on their reviews, they told us that the car was going to be totaled due to its condition and how severe the accident was. A week later they told us that the insurance company adjuster has given them the green light to repair the car and that it won't be totaled but they said they were going to use all new and original parts. We talked to the insurance adjuster and she mentioned that the body shop owner told them that we asked for the car to be repaired at any cost and that we agreed that they use used parts from a junk yard which was a big lie, I specifically asked him if it would even be worth fixing it and he claimed that it was up to the adjuster. We finally realized what kind of scam they are playing and therefore we decided to take the car to a legit body shop. Once I went to remove my truck they charged me $2,000 in storage fees for the 10 days that they had the car and a $200 deductible for returning the parts that they "supposedly ordered". If they would have ordered original parts from the dealer there wouldn't have been a restocking fee. They would not let me take my car out until I paid the fee. I took my car to another mechanic shop and right away they pulled everything apart and estimated almost 4 times the price that was quoted by these thief's and the car is now totaled. Due to excessive damage and the fact that the repairs would actually cost almost double what the car is worth. I'm just glad that I didn't keep my car there for them to charge the insurance the same amount through time and have a salvaged title car that was put together by cheap parts from a junk yard.

Even the criminals felt like they got a square deal (I'm joking about the criminal thing). But lawyers judges, alike all see him. His shop looks like the rest of this section of town: dingy, Tijuana yellow on EVERYTHING and EVERYONE, with a little taqueria and shitty "liquor store." If you blink, or speed - you'll miss it. But chances are you have made a significant life choice/change to get to this point, you're probably not driving. GO TO HIM. I thought I needed new brakes, and he was honest and told me it was not necessary. Each time my was car was worked on, the service provided was great. Prices are extremely reasonable and way cheaper if I had gone to Kia dealership. One of the things I love and appreciate the most, is how he uses analogies to explain what's going on with my car. Don't be fooled by the star ratings and look at the most recent reviews for this body shop. I drive a Mercedes G63 AMG. I have listed the series of events that happened from 7/20/23, when I dropped off my car, to current. In total, it took almost 5 months to get my car back from this body shop. The work they do is terrible, messy and poor quality. They will skip as many corners as possible. If you care at all about your car, take it somewhere else. I am still dealing with the aftermath of their poor worksmanship almost a year later. 7/15/23 Car accident - I was hit from behind on the freeway. Damage: corner, tail lights, bumper, wheel well area. 7/20/23 I dropped off my car at Fix Auto in Anaheim. They call me and let me know that Fix Auto in Santa Ana will be doing the paint job because the manager, Gilbert has years of experience with Mercedes. For about two weeks, I received auto text messages saying that my car is being worked on and then the messages stop. I call consistently to ask for updates to which they say someone will call me back or that they are still working on it. 9/22/23 They let me know my car is ready & I pick it up. The next day I notice: overspray, sloppy paint job. New scratches and chips on the doors. The trunk door won't close. They did not screw the bolt in. The hinge scratched and dented the trim. Door seal is broken. 10/3/23 Fix auto again - Dropped off car again 10/21/23 They let me know my car is ready. I drive there and the issues aren't resolved so I leave it there. 11/6/23 - They let me know my car is ready and I go to pick it up. There was overspray on the rear drivers side door. The trim is messed. They added adhesive onto the existing adhesive and the trim stick outs. 11/30/23 - Went to Santa Ana to pick up my car. My car is matte but on drivers door there is now a shiny area right below the window about the size of a grapefruit. The workers try to wipe it off. It doesn't come off. They need to repaint. 12/7/23 I finally pick up my car I notice that the trunk door isn't as easy to close. A month later, I take it into Mercedes and they say it was not put on correctly and that they can adjust it for me but the problem may come back. $300 7/10/24 I take my car to Mercedes because rear drivers side door isn't opening from the outside. 7/12/24 They say that an after market screw was incorrectly installed which voids the warranty. $900 It has almost been a year since the accident and I am still dealing with the shody work that Fit Auto did on my vehicle. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. They have yet to reach out to offer compensation or apologies for the massive amount of inconveniences they have caused. I live about an hour away (each way, with traffic) and having to go there and point out what is very visibly wrong with the car each time was ridiculous.

This photo was what I submitted when requesting a mobile repair quote, and the damage is centered…read moreon the reflector itself, along with dents above and below it. The repair quote I received did not specifically exclude the reflector repair, and it included a charge for "additional materials." Because of that, I reasonably believed the visible reflector damage was included as part of the repair. When I called the office before making the appointment, they didn't tell me that the reflector itself will not be fixed. When the technician arrived, he informed me that they could only repair the dents above and below the reflector, and that the damaged reflector itself was not included. When I called Bumper Buddies for clarification, I was told that because I, as the customer, did not specifically request reflector repair, it was not included in the quote even though the dents directly above and below the reflector were included. As a customer, I relied on professionals' expertise to evaluate the photos and provide an accurate estimate. If a major visible part of the damage was not included, that should have been communicated with the customer or clearly stated in the quote rather than assumed to be excluded. It's not unreasonable for customer to expect the communication of "hey, I see your reflector was also damaged, but we cannot fix the reflector itself, but we can fix the dent above and below it". The repair quote may have matched their internal interpretation of the estimate, but it did not match a customer's reasonable expectation based on the photos submitted. During my follow-up call with Nick, he repeatedly stated that it's a "communication error" and the quote did not include reflector replacement because I had not specifically requested it. That explanation raised even more concerns for me. As a customer, I relied on their expertise to identify and quote the visible damage shown in the photos. I should not be expected to name every individual damaged part or anticipate every technical detail in order to receive an accurate quote. If I had the professional knowledge to identify every repair item myself, I likely would not have needed their service in the first place. That is exactly why I turned to them for an estimate. Based on this experience, I would not feel confident on any future estimates from them unless every single item is spelled out in writing beforehand.

I only had this vehicle so to be without it I let them know was kind of an issue so I was hoping for a quick turn on process. After my vehicle sat with them for nearly 4 days I found out that they had done nothing except assessed the damage. I also had to request updates from them or I didn't hear anything. They submitted multiple claims to my insurance told me they couldn't work on my car until they were approved. The next week work on my car started it needed a fender replaced, and the collision center received three ones that were unusable before getting the fourth one. At this point, my truck was still not even near completion nearly 2 weeks after dropping it off at an appointment that they provided me with.. nearly 3 weeks after dropping my truck off with them. I was told it's ready to pick up and I had a friend collected due to my work hours and their business hours. After having my truck home for a day, I realize something was wrong. One of the main issues was the passenger side front door and now it sounded like it came off of a tin can sounded completely different than the other three doors on the vehicle. I sent them videos, they claimed that they didn't know the sound of my door because they didn't drive it all the time and it was an issue of them not putting enough material in the door to make it match the sound of any other door on the vehicle. Luckily I was able to have them come to my work pick up the vehicle fix it and bring it back to me.. Maybe my expectations are high , but nothing about this experience was what I expected. The communication was very bad. I wasn't told anything until I asked about it, the timeframe for work to be completed was horribly slow granted some of that may have been out of their control, and then the best part they returned my vehicle to me and it wasn't completed properly after nearly three weeks on being without my only vehicle. Sadly, I would not recommend this company to anybody who does not have the patience or time to let them go as slow as they do or let them take away. What might be your only vehicle for weeks on end depending on the work needed .

We reached out to Arnold for a pre-purchase inspection. While six other places quoted us $250-$350 for a "comprehensive" inspection, we paid Arnold $100, which was a STEAL for what he did, even more than what the others promised. He spent at least two hours thoroughly checking the vehicle, test driving it and walking us through every detail so we truly understood its condition. We were looking at buying an Audi Q4 e-tron that had a damage report. A reputable dealership told us it was "minor" and offered to take it to the mechanic for our peace of mind. After browsing Yelp and reading the amazing reviews, we decided to come here instead and I'm so glad we did. I had already done my due diligence and familiarized myself with the vehicle and potential issues. I asked Arnold very specific, technical questions that I already knew the answers to. He answered every single one with clarity and confidence and everything I was expecting to hear. My husband stayed the entire time, and Arnold patiently explained everything while inspecting the car. You can tell he was that kid that made the auto shop his playground growing up. He's passionate, meticulous, and GENUINELY cares. What impressed me most is that Arnold will never pressure you. He won't tell you "don't buy it," but he will clearly explain what could go wrong and what it might cost to fix. When I pressed him for his honest opinion, he said he personally wouldn't buy it at the listed price but if we negotiated it lower, then it might be worth considering. That level of honesty is RARE. They are your small local auto shop but I would choose them over any flashy, grandiose service center any day. Their integrity and transparency make them stand out. It's small independent neighborhood automotive repair shops like this that I prefer to do business with. They care about their reputation and genuinely want to provide a service to their community that can be trusted,,, this is based off my first impression of them. This Caliber Collision location is one to avoid if you value your vehicle and sanity. Staff have no concept of following through on their word, will tell you anything you want to hear to get your business, then take things from your vehicle and conveniently "forget" to return it to you unless you say something. These guys are negligent and uncaring at best, criminals at worst. Don't ever give your business to them. Absolutely clueless as to customer service. I was struck by another driver merging into me on 11/13 I decided the next day to take my 2016 Mazda3 here as it is within walking distance to a rental location. I did not have an appointment, but they helped anyway. Gilbert greeted me. I walked out with him to survey the damage. I noted at this time that I heard a harmonic coming from the impact area (driver's side rear wheel) that told me there was mechanical damage. I also noted that I had removed important personal items from the vehicle but that my trunk was full of personal items (gym bag and clothes) that I could not carry (no other vehicle until I got a rental). Was told they wouldn't be an issue and that he would call me with an estimated time to repair by the following day. I left, secured a rental for a day based on his advice that he would call the next day, so I could then extend. The following day, I did not receive a call. I waited to about 5:00PM (rental company closes at 6:00PM). I called, left a message as he was allegedly out porting a car. He returned my call at about 5:35PM, said they would have a time on Monday. I was upset at not receiving a call back and let him know this. Monday rolls around and same issue. No call. I call at 5:00PM again. I leave an message stating that if he does not call me when he says he is going to, I'm pulling the car from the shop. When I called, he was out yet again. Sure enough, by 5:30PM, I get a call from an irritated Gilbert who explains there's a supplement they need to from my insurance on, repairs should be about 8 days. I leave the car, so Gilbert and his team perform the repairs and work with my insurance to get it wrapped up. This part went smooth. Fast forward to 8 days later, I get a call on 11/27 stating my car would be ready for pick up on 11/29 or 11/30. Great! I get a call on 11/29 at 5:30PM stating it is ready for pick up, advise I'll be in on Monday to get it as I'm already out of town for the holiday. 11/2. I arrive in the morning as stated. My vehicle is dirty from the weekend so they decide to give it a rise. I pay, wait, then Gilbert comes out as the car is pulled up. The cosmetic repairs look to be done. As I'm running late, I get in my car and drive 3 miles away to my work. Fast forward to my lunch break, my car will NOT start! I can't even open my trunk because my battery is drained. Lights were not left on, radio was not left on, etc. I call Caliber furious as if my battery was this drained, they had to have jumped. Why didn't they tell me this? I was stranded and had to call my wife (disrupting her work hours) to come with cables to jump me. Their answer? Oh, cars do that sometimes. It was basically the equivalent of a "we don't give a sh*t" shrug. I jump the vehicle and hop on the freeway, and as I get to speed, what do I notice? The harmonic is NOT fixed! It still has a cyclical noise that was not there prior. So they just fixed the cosmetics but billed for the mechanical too? The last issue I've had with my vehicle is the failure to return my personal items to my trunk. The majority of the items left in my trunk were clothes, however, my gym bag did contain $100 bluetooth headphones, a $30 lock, and the bag itself was a $60 Nike bag. They reached out after writing this review, and I was told they simply forgot to put the items back in my car. Now I have to go back to get them, wasting more of my time. I dropped in unexpectedly on a Friday afternoon, a holiday weekend, no less. My car door had been scraped in a parking lot due to store neglect, and the store had asked for me to get two estimates for the repairs. I had gone to a local Honda dealership body shop (on Beach in Westminster), and they estimated the damage to be about $2000, requiring a new paint job, some body work as the scratch was deep, and 5 days without my car. I went to another Honda dealership (on Beach, in Huntington Beach) and they directed me to Caliber. Kevin Zaldivar looked at my car himself, and informed me that he preferred not to draw up an estimate, when a simple buff and seal by his best detail guy might solve the problem, and he asked when he might try. I had an appointment to get to, and he told me 10 minutes if I could manage. If it needed more attention, I told him I could return the following week. I had the extra time to wait for 10 minutes, and he got right to the car. He came back about 7 minutes later and let me know things were looking good, and they were just sealing the panel where they had buffed. Within about 10 minutes total, the damaged area looked like new. Kevin told me there was no charge. I was shocked. Here was a business poised to make money. They could have made a tidy $500 at least, a steep reduction from Honda's estimate. But they chose honesty and integrity instead. I blasted on facebook, and shared with my family. Very pleasantly surprised at the high level of customer service I received at Caliber Collision is Santa Ana. Unfortunately, I have had the opportunity to deal with other auto repair shop companies in the past and nothing has even come close to the level of service the whole front office staff provided me. Tiffany was always very friendly and polite when I came to the shop or called with a question. My service advisor Luis Villanueva was on top of everything from the start; he called me the day after I dropped off my car to explain what needed to be done, the estimated cost [which was spot on] and the estimated time to repair. After that Luis called me once a week with an update on the progress. The best news yet was they completed the repairs ahead of schedule saving me money on the car rental as they knew that was coming out of my own pocket. When it came time to pick up my car Tiffany had all the paperwork printed out and ready to sign. Luis was helping another customer so instead of keeping me waiting another advisor, Mauricio Vega, came over to help me. He took me to the car and showed me what was done, explained the warranty information and got me out the door very quickly. Luis and Mauricio are very knowledgeable, polite and made the whole process easy. I'm always weary when it come to look for a contractor or an auto repair shop. The main strategies are trust and price. I got the list of auto body repair shops from AAA. Then I went around town and got 6 estimates. This's amazed me, every places are all different in prices and how they handle the customers. So I was impressed by Daniel Hernandez, Service Advisor at Caliber Collision on McFadden Ave. He's very courteous and caring, understand my situation. He explained fully what need to be done.He came out for a rough estimate ( I pay the repair out of my pocket) without have to sit there and wait a long time for a written one. Then I received the written estimate after I desired to go with it. There was some problems with On-Time-Delivery promise. But they took all responsibilities to make sure the customer's satisfactions are not compromised. Peter, the Center Manager went above and beyond for me. I have had my truck repaired there twice. Each time they were extremely helpful and went out of their way to do a something extra to make my truck even better than I would have thought. This time the techs noticed that the headlights were foggy. They buffed each of the headlights. I was amazed when I drove the truck at night and used the headlights, they were so much much brighter. If I could rate them negative I would. They took a brand new Mercedes in their collision shop and changed tire with poor alignment. I could tell because if the squeaks but they kept telling me that the car is front wheel drive and it's normal. After few months only 1 tire was shredded into pieces and they still wouldn't admit they didn't align properly. I had to replace two front tires and after alignment the squeaks are gone. I only had this vehicle so to be without it I let them know was kind of an issue so I was hoping for a quick turn on process. After my vehicle sat with them for nearly 4 days I found out that they had done nothing except assessed the damage. I also had to request updates from them or I didn't hear anything. They submitted multiple claims to my insurance told me they couldn't work on my car until they were approved. The next week work on my car started it needed a fender replaced, and the collision center received three ones that were unusable before getting the fourth one. At this point, my truck was still not even near completion nearly 2 weeks after dropping it off at an appointment that they provided me with.. nearly 3 weeks after dropping my truck off with them. I was told it's ready to pick up and I had a friend collected due to my work hours and their business hours. After having my truck home for a day, I realize something was wrong. One of the main issues was the passenger side front door and now it sounded like it came off of a tin can sounded completely different than the other three doors on the vehicle. I sent them videos, they claimed that they didn't know the sound of my door because they didn't drive it all the time and it was an issue of them not putting enough material in the door to make it match the sound of any other door on the vehicle. Luckily I was able to have them come to my work pick up the vehicle fix it and bring it back to me.. Maybe my expectations are high , but nothing about this experience was what I expected. The communication was very bad. I wasn't told anything until I asked about it, the timeframe for work to be completed was horribly slow granted some of that may have been out of their control, and then the best part they returned my vehicle to me and it wasn't completed properly after nearly three weeks on being without my only vehicle. Sadly, I would not recommend this company to anybody who does not have the patience or time to let them go as slow as they do or let them take away. What might be your only vehicle for weeks on end depending on the work needed .

We decided to go through Tesla Insurance instead of our own insurance for the damage repair so we wouldn't have to deal with needing to pay our deductible upfront and waiting for Tesla to reimburse us, which someone had warned me could take weeks / months. Tesla Insurance referred us to Fix Auto Tustin for our car repair. Adrian was the team member responsible for our repair process. He advised me that it would take Tesla about 1-2 weeks, sometimes longer, before they approve a repair estimate for the auto shop to have the green light to bring the repair process. After repair starts, it would be at least another week for the bumper repair to cure. I was worried because we would be out of the country for 3 weeks for an upcoming trip, during which the car repair would be completed and wouldn't be in town to pick up the car when ready (auto shop said they can't keep our car in shop for that long after repair is done). Adrian was incredible! He offered to drive our car home when ready and drop off the car key through our door mail-drop slot. Because I wouldn't get regular mobile reception while abroad, he even was kind enough to share his iPhone # so I could keep in communication through iMessage. He just messaged me this morning and shared photos of my husband's car being in our driveway and the key being dropped into our mail-drop slot! Instead of listening professionally, he came across as condescending and dismissive. He made comments that felt like he was mocking my desire for a high-quality, factory-looking result, and repeatedly implied that my standards were the problem. He also told me that orange peel is part of the original surface of the car part itself, not something created through the paint application process. Based on my research and conversations with other paint professionals, that explanation does not seem accurate. Orange peel is affected by the spraying process, materials, gun setup, technique, sanding, and finishing -- not because the raw part is manufactured with that texture. He also suggested that if I wanted the orange peel to match, I would need to replace the whole part, which did not make sense to me. When I asked questions and explained that I wanted the repair to blend correctly with the surrounding panels, he kept saying things like "does this really bother you?" and implied that if I wanted quality work, I simply needed to pay more. I completely understand that perfect paint matching is difficult and that high-quality work costs money. I was not asking for cheap work. I was asking whether they had the skill and willingness to do a careful job. Instead, I felt talked down to, dismissed, and treated like my concerns were unreasonable. Eventually, he said they could not help me because my standards were too high and walked away. Based on that interaction, I would not feel comfortable trusting them with a detail-sensitive paint repair. Professionalism and honesty matter just as much as the repair itself, and unfortunately this experience gave me no confidence in either.
