My experience was so terrible wish I could leave 0 stars. Very disappointed with the treatment/service I received today. I arrived at 10am, few minutes later I was seated for my manicure/ pedicure. About 10mins after that a women came in whom had an appointment with the tech that was already working on my hands. I had no idea as I did not request anyone specifically. I only get a basic gel mani/pedi. The tech stops cutting my nails then goes to preparing the polish as if she were done. I told her my nails still needed to be clipped as I had hang nails. She responds with "ok" she'll polish for you- referring to the younger boss. I explain to the manager my manicure was not completed and showed her my nails, she got upset. And began to express how they didn't have to finish any of my services as if I was complaining for no reason. I explained it does not matter who does my nails as long as I still get the full service as my nails are not ready to be polished. She's walking back and forth saying I'm complaining and talking too much and says I need to stop or no one will help me. At this point I'm confused so I asked the women whom was late and she goes "no, you're not wrong" she noticed the rudeness and the treatment I started to receive. The manager then tells the tech working on my pedicure to stop. Of course she stops, she then tries to put on my sandals without drying my feet or removing the scrub. At this point I'm upset and I tell her "stop, this is crazy" and asks her to treat me fair as I had done nothing wrong. In addition she is being extremely rough at this point. After she removes the product I then ask for the towel so I can dry my feet own feet off. Forgot to mention as she is doing this the manager has rolled her cart over my sandals and I had to tell her to be careful. Again she gets upset and says I'm talking too much and they aren't going to service me at all. I get up since everything is removed and proceed to the front counter to take a photo of the sign with "the message to the consumer". She walks over and says you don't have to pay anything and we can finish if you would like. At this point I told her she has lost me as a client and I would not be recommending anyone else. At this time another patron has got up and left after witnessing the encounter. Smh very embarrassing moment, I had been coming here since Sophia's family owned the shop. Never again, I went down the street and the service was wonderful. read more

I'm so glad I visited and did gel x with Tanya and a gel pedicure with Kim. I have never experienced such amazingggg service!! I honestly was very disappointed when the previous salon told me she was no longer there and I was SO relieved when I realized Tanya was here at California Nails! She's always done my nails well, does a thorough job and I was going to her for a bit over two years. She now manages this shop with her sister, Chloe and luckily it's actually closer to my work/home. This place is not clean!!! Do not come here!!! I got the most painful infection in my cuticle after visiting this place. I tried cleaning it but ultimately ended up having to go to urgent care and got put on antibiotics to get rid of the infection!! Unfortunately when I was there my experience wasn't great either, there were mosquitos and flies everywhere (I was covered in mosquito bites when I left), my mani/pedi took 3 hours to complete, she put glitter on my nails even though I asked her twice not to but she said that's just what she does as a base coat to make the manicure last longer (you can completely see the glitter through the polish) there seemed to be awkward tension amongst employees, and let's not forget the bugs. So disgusting overall. Very sad to have spent any money here. If you value your health, please go literally anywhere else. read more

The nail tech with Sophia I got gel X, I wanted coffin shape with the French kind of tips, she took forever to do the tips one mistake after another Finally got it done. I also got a regular pedicure. After She was done they charge me 145 which is pretty high for my nails and pedicure anyways not a week after my nails started coming off and not to mention my nails were crooked, she said because my fingers are crooked.HORRIBLE Anyway I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS PLACE. read more

I would drive all the way to Santa Clarita to my old salon. One day I decided to try California Nails, and had an appointment with Tanya. She did an amazing job, and I no longer drive far to get my nails done! She is fast, yet does an excellent job. She is patient, very kind and understands what people like. I followed Tanya, the new owner, from a previous salon and am so happy for her. The nail salon is freshly renovated with new stations, pedicure chairs, and nail polish bottles. There's lot of street parking in the front and ample parking in the back. Tanya and Chloe are super talented with nail art and I always go to them for hard gel manicures. The pedicure was ok but you have to put your feet in this dirty blue plastic bag they put over the bath, and the water is lukewarm. The manicure left my nails still long and a little rough and sharp I had to ask them to go back over it. One of my fingers got cut during the manicure aswell. Do not come here. I don't think I've ever given a nail place a low score, until today, when I walked in at 5pm on Friday night for a simple medi pedi, and received only but disgruntled looks, considering how there was only 1 customer and 4 workers. The long black hair Vietnamese lady who did my medi was super rough with the shaping where it stunned me a few times. I wanted to say something but she seemed so in a rush, that it gave me a bit of anxiety. I felt kind of bad for not making an appointment. I even noticed when she brushed the pastel pink on me that she didn't use a bottom coating, like what most places usually do to cover the natural nail color. I didn't want to be difficult so I completely ignored her. What irritated me though was that she lied to me that she painted it 4 times in my left and three times on my right, prior to me looking at my nails. I knew very well that she did it two times only. I despise liars. She even asked if I wanted to do gel, which had to be joke. The only saving grace is Julie who did my pedi. She was gentle with my feet and asked if everything is ok, which is what most, if not ALL, of what nail places should do before moving forward with anything. Thank you Julie for saving this place. I really wanted to like this place because it's so freakin close to where I live, but after this experience, I much rather go to an Asian place near my parents where the people are MUCH nicer and the prices are MUCH cheaper. $37 for medi and pedi (additional for foot scrub).
