The door handle was burning hot to the touch, they should add shade or something to ensure customers aren't getting burned when they walk in/out. (1 al pastor/2 asada) small street style tacos the meat was too salty for my liking, rice lacked flavor, beans lacked salt. 2quesadilla kids meals, have a good amount of fries but over salted. For $5.99 I would expect some kind of meat. Red salsa - salty. Green salsa -okay. No spice on either. So in all if you're in the mood for Birria, this place smacks. Horrible service. We ordered at 9:38pm and received our food at 10:01, and we were kicked out of the restaurant because they close at 10pm?! That's not how restaurants work. Eating birria in the car ruins the experience, it's a mess. And don't get the carne asada! (Aka greasy ground beef) Everything else was fine but the customer service was awful. Can't rate them because we never got our food. Don't go when they are busy as they don't seem to have a very good system for filling orders. You also don't get a receipt with what you ordered and at what time, so you are at their mercy. Got there around 7, ordered and waited and by 8:45 I asked for a refund. Three other people who ordered before me were also still waiting, yet they were filling orders for people who had just come in within the last hour. I'll stick with Tacos Al Carbon on 43rd Ave. Their food is always good, they have a fresh salsa bar, and they are quick even with the crowds that go there every day. read more

If you like full, well seasoned, juicy, tasty Birria tacos, this is the place! Meat is tender and juicy. Caramelized on the flat top to have crispy chunks. Doused in the consome. Cheese all melted and gooey. The tortilla dipped in the consome oil and browned on the flat top. Then you give it a dunk into the consome and chow down! Get lots of napkins! Careful at first. The Birria consome is piping hot! These are some of the best tacos that I have had from a Mexican restaurant so far! Now for our other food. My Wife ordered Sope and street tacos to go. Little let down on these. The Sope massa was pretty tough and rubbery. This may have been from reheating in the microwave. The meat was very salty. The street tacos meat had the same problem with the salt. Flavor was good and they were full. We will be back to try other things off the menu. My Wife is Mexican and very hard to please when it comes to Mexican restaurants. She ate all three of her Birria tacos! That's a pretty impressive accomplishment of Cali Tacos! read more

Tacos Calitacos are the bomb!!! This was my first time here and was nervous about trying a new place. Let me tell you this was a great dinner experience. I ordered the taco plate combo with pastor, asada, and Birria (upcharge for it but worth it) - the beans and rice are ok but not the best... the tacos were the STAR. The Pastor has the most flavor on its own but the Birria is the best as long as you get the sauce (with fixings) for it. Great local spot especially for the $! read more

Ummmm... my tacos de Birria was good. I ate all of those. I also got the Nachos de Birria, which I said no gauc, but they seemed to have done extra gauc. I tried to eat around it but it was just too much. My daughter wanted a bean and cheese burrito, which I thought would come out first, but it came out LAST and she was not happy about that, and the fact that she didn't like it!!! I've never had her not like a bean and cheese burrito, but the beans had an off taste to it. Ended up having to buy her $5 side of chips. Husband got the quesadilla de Birria and a good portion went to waste. He was just not a fan and he was really disappointed as he was the one that found and picked this place. He tried the rice and it was just too "weird" tasting. My son, got the Carne Asada fries said the same thing. It just didn't taste good. The horchata, I know is supposed to be sweet, but this one was just waaaaaay to sweet. Brand new restaurant in Chandler. Best horchata I have ever had in a restaurant (I compare it to my nina's authentic homemade horchata). Is is the bomb! If you do not have self control do not order this because you will get hooked. My first visit was through the drive thru. So convenient! My second visit was today with my family. The waitress greeted us and took us to a booth table. I have 2 small kids they even gave us 2 high chairs for them. This has never happen to me ever. I usually have to ask for one high chair. Whoa! Found this newly opened taco joint in Chandler and my mouth is still watering at how goood these tacos and tortas were! For the tacos I tried their chicken, carne asada and Al pastor with double layer yellow corn tortillas and bomb salsas ufffff! I had to unbutton my pantaloneses to make room to try their torta. As soon as I grabbed that torta and felt how warm and soft the bread was, I knew I was in danger. No way I would have self control not to eat the whole thing. Buttered soft bread with al pastor meat, guac, lettuce melted cheese bruuhhh. What I'm trying to say is this place is bomb and ya'll need to try it! read more

It's in a really nice plaza . At night the lights are lit up so it looks like old school restaurants which I like. Anyways it wasn't packed this night and plus it was Monday . It's a large restaurant. Menu is on the wall and you order first . And when they call your name you have to go get the food. I want to give this place more stars...Tacos are very good and they do not skimp on the meat or toppings. Taste of the food is not my issue. It's availability and price. I live really close and was able to get cabeza tacos from here ONCE! The other times I've visited, which has been once a week, they don't have cabeza! The birria tacos are good too but I am after cabeza tacos which they are regularly out of. I also think they are a bit pricy. $13 for 3 tacos ONLY, is more than I'm willing to spend especially when you have to settle for another meat option. read more

I don't know how anyone can say this place is good. I got chicken nachos and the chicken was so small. It looks like turkey meat tasted like it had curry on it. There was a strange smell among the chips, the cheese, and the meat that I couldn't eat it it smelt like some type of. ....I don't want to say a chemical but maybe like a stale cabinet. The salsa was good, but I couldn't get past the bad taste of the food so I didn't eat it my daughter got a BIRRIA taco, and I had to pay quite a bit extra for the sauce that comes on the side. The Taco was definitely better than the nachos, so maybe if you steer clear from the chicken, the guacamole is not real. It's saucy like it was blended up in a blender or mixed with sour cream. Tasty tacos. Queso Tacos Maiz are the way to go. They fire roast some melty cheese onto the tortillas. Then too with your selection of meat. I like the pastor and carnitas was surprisingly good meat. Carnitas in this area at least tend to be soggy crock pot pork and this was not. Good corn tortillas. Red salsa is also great. Tacos are about the size of your palm. Was fun to put a Michelada with them. Music here is a bit loud though, bordering on a bit obnoxious if you're not in the mood. read more

This place has been on our list to try and THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I am a major fan of Cabeza tacos and these are on my top list now!
