Their burritos are HEFTY. The unfortunate part is that it simply wasn't good. I got four corn tacos (Al pastor, carne asada, and birria) as well as two burritos (birria and a Cali burrito with pastor). By itself, the pastor was yummy. However, I think, when you have to eat it with their avocado sauce, it loses nearly all its flavour. I've definitely had better pastor elsewhere, and I recommend Maskadores or Los Taquitos for their pastor. The carne asada was good, but the tacos left me feeling like it was okay. There aren't any Taco Tuesday deals, so you'll be paying full price per taco unless you get one of their every-day combos. The birria burrito... There was no flavour. Definitely Skip. These tacos were cold, unflavored even with the salsa & cilantro/onions. The Quesibirrias were so greasy but juicy!! The consomé tasted old and just was gross. The tacos were were nasty. The drinks were overly sweet. Ordered for 4 people=$75 They charge you $2 for consumé!! The service was terrible, girl at the front was so rude. I heard they had a few locations on the West side of town and we just happened to drive by one day and noticed... CaliTacos brings some "flava" to the plaza. Most taco places have specials throughout the week so getting Birria tacos on the regular is hard unless you plan the week... not here... can you say "Available!!!" We've now been 3 times and had no complaints. This has quickly become one of favorite "all in one" taco spots. We've had the Carne Asada Torta, the Tacos de Maiz, Cali Fries with steak, Mulitas, both Tacos de Birria (Maiz & Harina) and of course drinks ranging from the Strawberry & Mango Margarita to drafts of Modelo & Dos Equis... All were good. The only complaint for the food was our Cali Fries on one trip where everything seemed to have gotten way too cold to quickly (meaning the fries weren't fresh out of the fryer) You can sit at the counter while getting more comfortable with a few drinks and the TV's or grab a table after ordering. The staff was helpful and the place is really kept clean. The food took a bit longer than expected, but it wasn't longer than 10 mins. Opened the door and the girl at the bar just looked at us and didn't welcome us or even say one word. I then seen the sign that says order here. Highlights: The tacos are really good and I liked how many options they had. I've never been to a place that specializes in birria so that was really unique. The service is really friendly and the ambience is really bright and fun. Lowlights: The fries are really not good because they are super soggy and there's hardly any protein on top. Few places make good pastor and I was very surprised that Calitacos is one of them!! When ordered with "everything" on them it comes dressed with cilantro, onions, and green salsa! The salsas were flavorful; neither the red nor green were particularly hot but the red is the "hotter" one. They serve a HUGE portion of carne asada fries! Healthy portion of shoestring fries but could definitely use more carne asada. The fries are seemingly drenched in sour cream, guac, and cheese but when you mix it up, it could actually use a bit more! They were average at best... Filiberto's/Moreno's quality. Tacos are like a hug in a warm soft tortilla. I came here with the crew on Taco Twosday (2-22-22) which was also National Margarita Day! I had a strawberry & mango margarita to start with and the birria tacos combo plate as my meal. Everything was great! The meat was juicy and tasty and their hot sauces were so flavorful. As someone who is usually a fan of red sauce more than green, I gotta say that the green sauce here is the business here. It's not hot at all but it's just insanely fresh tasting. It's a huge restaurant with lots of seating and the staff here are really friendly. Taco Tuesday is a big deal here and they run a great special. This little gem tucked in Palm Court is located on the S/W corner of Arizona Ave and Warner Roads. For a mature area of Chandler, I was surprised to find businesses in a fairly new built section of this plaza. This open spaced bar/restaurant opened just five weeks ago and had steady customers either for dine in or take out orders. The employees greeting you from across the room and then will seat you. Booths, tables and a long bar are available. The clean, bright red interior is as bold with color as is their flashy menu. My hubby ordered the torta birria and a side the side of consome de birria I wanted to sample different varieties of meats so I went with the taco combo harina. I rank the shredded beef birria third, the de pollo second and the carnita asada top place! Perhaps I'm just not a birria person. I've tried many around the valley and think birria is tasty but doesn't make me say wow like the street flour carnita asada taco did. The creamy guacamole and diced onions were delicious! There is ample space inside and lots of TVs for viewing the Suns, Diamondback or a Cardinals game. The preparation of their tacos is made to order. My absolute favorite are the al pastor. I love their meat and it tastes like freshly carved off the trompo. These are smaller in size so you need a few to fill you up. They have a few special combos and a variety of drinks but no jamaica. So I drove all the way from north phoenix to chandler to try this place. First impression was whatever the place the windows are dirty on the outside and is like any other restaurant nothing wow on the outside. As I walk in the place was empty the girls at the counter don't have any enthusiasm or a welcoming face. I approached the counter and ask them so is my first time here and the answer was oh what u want to eat. I was omg really. So I took few breaths and I said ok let's try at least something maybe the food is good. The horchata was good. The birria tacos were good the first order of six that we all did to try and the consomé. The second order we tried was two more tacos de birria since we were still hungry and the second order wasn't the same the crunchiness of the tacos wasn't there anymore so with that said the consistency of the food is not the same. I ordered a to-go meal and their Birria Qeisadilla is amazing! The 2 for 1 special on the Sope di Birria was good value but the middle became stale and too soggy. The Birria meat is juicy and so succulent that it melts in your mouth. They do a good job not loading the meat in there so you can taste the cheese and consume tortilla.
