I always pass by this place when I'm heading up the street to charge my car, so I finally decided to stop in and give it a try. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the restaurant was very clean and well-kept. We ordered the #21 fajitas for two, and I also got a barbacoa taco on the side since barbacoa is one of my favorites. The meat was incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Everything came out fresh and nicely prepared. We also enjoyed two baskets of chips and salsa, and I ordered a margarita that was absolutely delicious and perfectly balanced. The service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and helpful. She mentioned she hadn't seen us before and realized we were first-time customers. By the end of the meal, I told her I would definitely be coming back. I've been saying I was going to try this place since it changed from being a BBQ restaurant to TexMex. It is not on my usual path, so I guess it took 1-2 years:-). What finally got me to try it was a review from my Yelp friend, Glen H. He gave it 4 stars and was happy with it. When we drove up, the parking lot was completely full, and we had to park at another business next door. Obviously, if they have that much business, it must be good. Walking in, they had a sign up letting you know to go ahead and seat yourself. We looked around and saw 1 open table which we grabbed. A waiter came quickly, bringing water and menus. She came back after a few minutes to see if we were ready to order. I ordered a combination of enchiladas and tacos, while my wife ordered breakfast tacos. They serve breakfast all day, so my wife was really happy. We went through the chips and salsa quickly (both were very good) and asked for more. The only negative about our entire experience is that the refills of chips and salsa never showed up. Both of us enjoyed our meal. We were pleasantly surprised with our experience. If we had gotten our additional chips and salsa, then this would have been a 5 star review. Will I return? Definitely! read more

I have heard all kinds of different things about Camila's but since it's not too far from me I decided to just give it a try. We dined inside and the interior is very cute, lot's of beautiful Mexican decor and very clean. Our server was great, attentive but not bothersome. He accommodated our different requests and knew the menu really well. The tacos were hot and super full! They are not stingy at all with their meat. All of our tacos were very flavorful, with the only downside (for a lack of a better word) is that the potatoes were bigger than I like, but that's pretty much everywhere. I was very please with everything, especially the beef fajita, super tender and juicy! They also have a drive thru so we will absolutely go back. I got 2 tortillas with my order & someone else ordered tortillas but however didn't get them. By the time the waitress came back, it wasn't an issue. My Plato mexicano plate was delicious. The sauce on the enchiladas was good, not spicy or over seasoned, the rice & beans were seasoned & seasoned very nicely. The tamale was hidden next to the enchilada but was able to eat it separately. Nice & flavorful shredded pork tamale. The puffy taco was loaded with shredded chicken & cheese. Overall we were all pleased with our meals. The location has plenty of parking & there is ample seating as well. I hate feeling like I have dementia when I walk into a restaurant. By the way, if you sit down then the waitress will come to your table- or you can order at the window and sit. It's anarchy. That being said, the service was warm and friendly. The food came out so hot I had to look twice to see if el Diablo was my server. My Verde chicken enchiladas were tasty though. I particularly liked the fluffy house made flour tortillas and the spicy but not too spicy salsa that comes with your chips. In the end, I'd give them 3.5 stars, but round it up to four. It came with the usual rice and beans. These too were good but not exceptional. The wife had the enchilada plate and rated them 4.5 stars. I will have to try those next time. The chips and salsa were pretty good. These chips are thick and crispy. The two salsas (red or green) were tasty even being a little thin. The menu is extensive with many Texmex entrees. You should be able to find something. The tortillas are so soft and fluffy and homemade. They have an authentic TexMex ambiance and along with the food which is a rare find on this side of town. read more

Newest location is now open on Blanco, north of 1604 & they have a drive thru. Seated ourselves. Food & service were good, just like the other locations. Decor inside was festive, bathrooms were clean. My only complaint is that I ordered the Botanas plate and a side of guacamole (at the same time). I didn't know the Botanas plate came with guac because it doesn't say that in the menu and the waitress didn't mention it when I ordered. Basically wasted $4 to get extra guac that we really didn't need. Glad they're open, even though there's no shortage of Mexican restaurants right here. I'm always searching for good Enchiladas Poblanos, not Enchiladas Verde. I've seen Camila's Mexican Restaurants posted as having good Enchiladas Poblanos during a lunch special, but only on Friday's. I was finally able to get there on a Friday afternoon, and they did NOT disappoint! The Enchiladas Poblanos plate was absolutely delicious!! It came with rice & beans, both of which were also delicious. It also comes with freshly made chips & salsa, and the absolutely fluffiest fresh tortillas I have EVER seen, and tea or soda. I went to the Blanco location and the staff was super friendly and welcoming, service was fast, and food was hot & fresh. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu! read more

I've eaten a few times at the Wilderness Oak location and always satisfied. I thought I would try the Blanco Rd. location and took a friend. Well you know that feeling when you walk in a place and instinctively think you've made a mistake? Well that best describes this place. When we came in there was no one to greet you and everything is hid behind a partition, so you don't know to seat yourself or wait. Finally we decided to find ourselves a table and after a while a server brought menus and asked what we wanted to drink. I ordered a large margarita and well you would have thought I pissed on a Nun, a condescending look and was told I should get a small one. Well, ok. Who am I to piss off Server Ratchet. A different server brought the drinks and took our order, offered no water. Ordered the Queso and chips and two lunch orders. The appetizer was ok. The lunch plates were horrible. I had three crispy beef tacos with rice and beans. Taco shells were stale and meat was cold and tasteless. Rice was mushy and inedible, beans tasted out of the can. My friend had the beef enchiladas which too was served cold and tasted bland. Of course with no water and only a small margarita we both were trying to choke down the food. Now it was mid afternoon after the lunch crowd and only four tables with customers so not busy. Not once did the server check on us until we finally waved her down for the bill. $65 wasted. read more

I was too tired to drive to the other place right up off of stone oak (Aldacos) or Las Palapas (great margaritas). When I ordered my drink- it tasted like nothing- not even lime. Nothing. I literally took three sips and went to the order area/bar. The woman who was in charge said she would not exchange it for something else or add anything to it. We've been going to this location since it opened. The service has usually been good and the food -- well we e been going back right? So fast forward to tonight. I go through the drive through to get a taco, tortilla soup, and a quesadilla like I usually do. I pull up and noticed that the car in front of me is just sitting there and not ordering. I thought about going in reverse and walking inside but an vehicle had pulled up behind me and trapped me in line. After about 5-7 minutes, the car in front of me begins to order. After he finishes the order, I pull up to the ordering spot and then sat there for 5-7 minutes waiting for the person taking orders to acknowledge me then take my order. I moved up a car length and wait in this spot for just under ten minutes (I was listening to a podcast so I saw the time). This continued two more times until it was my turn I paid and the young lady gave me the order. And right off the bat I'm concerned because I have no way of knowing how long it sat there during those 15-20 minutes. I get home and the soup isn't soup. It's veggies on the bottom of a drink cup, half of an uncooked potato and a chicken breast with zero broth The taco was fine but my quesadilla was ice cold and the rice tasted like it had sat for too long and gotten over cooked. (It was hard). So I called in to complain about the soup (or lack thereof) and a young lady answers the phone. I ask to speak to a manager and she says that there isn't one there. I then ask to speak to whomever is in charge and get told no one is in charge. I give up and hang up. We have ordered these things a lot of the past couple of years. Tonight was just - bad. I don't know if it is a staffing issue, training issue, or just a lack of care. I wouldn't say it's the best Tex-Mex in the city but it's usually pretty good and that's why I'm going to give a better rating than what they deserved on this day. Everyone has a bad day sometimes, right? I got the huevos rancheros, which is a standard for me at any Mexican restaurant for breakfast. It took a really long time for my food to come out and it was barely lukewarm. My eggs were also cooked hard and I requested over medium. They have a nice selection of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This place offers daily specials and their pricing is very fair. I ordered 2 menudos, 4 carne guisadas and 2 lemonades for pickup and the total was $55 which is expensive considering that's all I got... but the menudos were extremely bland like had no taste at all I had to fill it with lime and Tabasco to only taste those two things. The carne guisada was good though but not over $4 good for each one. Definitely a let down and a waste of money. Wouldn't recommend and won't be returning. read more
