I have tried repeatedly to schedule an appointment for service with no success. At one point I was transferred to the Avondale location, when I explained that I had been on hold with the New River location. The woman on the phone accused me of lying because there is no way that a call can be transferred from one location to another. I still have not heard from the scheduling department concerning the requests that I submitted. The message is Loud and Clear! Camping World doesn't want or need any new business. If I could give zero stars I would. Steer clear of this place for service unless you want to be ripped off. My elderly parents took their motorhome in for routine service and a new battery. They were talking into paying for a $500 service and were then told that they would need to do a test to replace the battery that would cost an additional $99.00. My husband called and talked to Steven who agreed to waive the test fee because the battery that needed to be replaced froze so we knew what caused the issue. Low and behold when they picked it up today they were charged the test fee. Over 600.00 for an oil change and new battery. I'm am seriously upset that Camping World thinks it's ok to take advantage of people. I rarely leave bad reviews but they definitely earned this one. I applied for a position online and in the assessment process their website kept giving me an error so i could not continue with the application process. I called and was told somebody would email me, 3 days later I haven't goten an email so I just went in and spoke to the receptionist and explained my situation. As somebody who's been in business a while this was the most unprofessional experience I've had with a receptionist. After being given a card and no explanation I asked what is this for and she said I'm not sure scan it so I did right in front of her. After telling her this only brings me to their job listings and doesn't pertain to my situation she says I'm not sure there's nothing I can do. Which I can understand. After asking if there was somebody I can speak to she very abruptly says no. This company doesn't really seem like they take much serious and after reviewing the other poor reviews this experience makes sense. Just say no. My first experience in Flagstaff was bad, but the Avondale location had the trailer I was looking for. Despite my better judgement and the assurance of everyone from the salesman to the GM that this location was nothing like Flagstaff--they're actually worse. They've had our $10000 for a month. We've been approved since day 1. We still have no trailer and they won't return our phone calls. Trust me when I say you should never buy an RV from Camping World. Ever. read more

DO NOT COME to this location. You should read this before considering bringing in your RV. I should have read through the many complaints about this location. I came to camping world to get a slide out adjustment, quote on some damage to my levelers, tanks flush and oil change. When I picked up my RV a week later when it was "done" nothing was completed. I paid a little over $1k and it was in worse shape then when I got it. They didn't do a tank flush even though they charged me. Now my whole RV smelled since it was sitting in the heat all day! They overfilled my oil. Couldn't complete simple tasks. Slide out was flush now, but it made a large banging side on the way out and they were damage now to the wood on inside that was t there. When I bright it back they said that the mechanism needed to be replaced and that's another $1500 please to replace..... they charged me $500 to align the slide out, damaged it and asked for another $1500. When I brought it up they said the tech said it was happening when they first got it. Right, you couldn't complete any of the simple tasks given and you expect em to believe that. If that were true 1) I would have asked you to fix it when I first brought it in and 2) why didn't he flag they when he said he saw it and recommend it when I first brought it in. Please do not bring your RV here or consider doing any business with this establishment. read more

All I will say at this point is "terribly disappointed" would be an understatement. Bought a brand new 2021 Hurricane 29M and picked it up in January. To date it has been in Camping World service department more than available for our use and enjoyment. Customer satisfaction does not appear to be very high on the General Manager's priority list. Coming in somewhere below insulting customers and not being concerned about communications to keep customers informed about progress on work being done. It is no small wonder there are so many CW bashers in the RV community. IF CW Tucson and my Freedom Elite 24FE had given me this kind of experience I would never have gone to another CW or purchased their Thor products. read more

This location will give you a mental break down! The sales department is alright not too pushy, knowledgeable, and friendly. And the finance department is alright. Jay at this location is good. BUUUTTT OMG first let's start with the front desk, they sit behind a 4-foot counter so as you walk in all you see is the top of heads and as you stand there looking like a fool, they may stop chatting to ask how they can help you. Maybe they should shut up stand up and greet a customer as they walk in the door. Then let's communicate properly, if I am looking for someone in particular don't say "well I saw him this morning, but I don't know where he is now." and then act like you should leave at that point. The service department is a NIGHTMARE!! (Go somewhere else!) So "purchase" walk through we noted 2 things wrong with the camper right out the gate. (no problem they will get it ordered and then when the parts come in bring it down) ok few weeks go by take it down and that's where is sat, so I text my service writer to see what's going on, "we are at the mercy of the warranty department and they have not approved the repairs so when we have the green light I will let you know". (OK) another week goes by NOTHING I text again, "we fixed other things we found on the unit but now we are waiting for the parts." At this point I lost my mind and went into the location, with the intention on talking to a manager but to my dismay most all managers were gone for the day so I ended up talking to a different departments manager and then finally the service manager, come to find out the approval for the repairs had been granted months before purchase telling me that they knew the things were broken. And that old habits were being broken and that he would expedite the parts and let me know when they were in. The only issue is I had to have my camper in April for a preplanned trip I couldn't leave it there and note I have not been able to use my camper ever this would be its first voyage even though I bought it in December. The service manager Matt tells me "Well take the camper have a good trip and when you get back, we will have it all ready and they could even finish it while we waited." (oh fun). So we hook up and take the camper home, we leave it connected as we would just load it and prep for the trip UNIT my truck wouldn't start. So we go looking for the issue one of the tec's shut off the battery isolator switch and shoved a wire into the solar inverter to make it look like it was connected so it killed my truck. We contacted Matt he said sorry and that he would order another solar inverter. (great) we temporarily fixed the issue got the truck up and running and off we go. Unit we hit New Mexico and I'm not kidding I think they tried to kill us or at least total $150,000.00 dollar's worth of equipment. We have the Anderson hitch for this set up and they did not tighten the conversion plate we took a left turn the hole unit shifted, we took out the center median and blew a tire. When we stopped the plate was just spinning and the tire was gone, we had to put the spare on. So we text Matt.............Nothing..........2 weeks later NOTHING call he's not in, e mail NOTHING! SO I bought a $50,000.00 dollar camper and they can fix nothing and do NOTHING. read more

Pushy RV sales people!! Our first trip here from the east valley. They were quick to take us to look at the type of trailer we were considering and answered questions about the units, but pushed us hard to make a decision on the spot. I believe the right trailer will sell itself, and the hard push to "work the numbers" was a complete turn off. When we did not immediately go into their discussion about the numbers, we were asked "Why are you here? Just to see the floor plan?" We will not be pushed into a decision before we are ready to spend that kind of money. My husband said "We're done. I took my toyhauler in with some issues, (Generator, Fuel pump & box, support bar) on November 21st of 2023. Needless to say I got it back today 5/31/2024, after showing up yesterday wanting my trailer - over 6 months. They told me it was complete, they did put up the support bar, a fuel pump and box was installed but the system is not pumping fuel. The generator they assumed is the carburetor and said it needs replacing - no way it was brand new, they did not even look at it. They did not even check the fuel system and carburetor but charged me to diagnose them. Thank goodness I checked it as soon as I left there. I went back and they want me to bring it in to diagnose. No F'ing way! Camping World has lost all my business and all who ever ask me for a referral. What a rip off! read more

Dropped off my trailer for its scheduled appointment. "Steve" in service is rough around the edges when it comes to customer service. He did his job and wrote up my trailer for the install of the pre-ordered slide topper. I confirmed with "Steve" that it would only take a couple of hours (As previously stated by another service writer "Michelle". Steve laughed and said that "Michelle over promises and under delivers ALL THE TIME". I have previously worked with "Michelle" and she is wonderful. I think "Steve's" comment was out of line and I told him so. "Steve did promise my trailer would be completed by the end of the day and that I would receive a call when it was ready, he even confirmed my phone number with me. Guess what? STEVE NEVER CALLED. Steve, your customer service is about as helpful as a bowl of diarrhea. So I went to pick up my trailer on Saturday (The next day), arrived at 245pm. "Steve" had previously stated that all pickups had to be done before 4pm. Well some less than stellar idiot in service (Didn't get his name but I think he is a manager or something) said I could not pick up my trailer because it was after 2pm and he didn't have anyone still on duty who knows how to drive a forklift, that could move my trailer. I told the guy to find someone, because I'm picking up my trailer no matter what. He argued back and forth with me for a couple of minutes and I finally said, "Got get my F%#+ing trailer before I lose my $ hit". Your lack of a forklift driver is not my problem! Maybe this little twit should take a forklift class so he can provide better customer service? I know, crazy idea right? By nothing less than a "Miracle" (Sarcasm) my trailer appeared in the service lane for pickup. I paid my bill ($600), hooked up my trailer, gave Camping World the one finger salute and vowed to NEVER RETURN! I will NEVER spend another PENNY of my money to support a business like that. Service Department is another story... Currently having issues with the hitch that was installed. We are trying to work with they service department to have the 5th wheel hitch they recommended removed. We will see. Have sent pictures and video. Let them know as soon as we noticed the issue. Have only had the whole set up for just over a week. Right after we left.. Everyone we worked with from Lana at the front desk, to Big AL in sales, Sam and Russ in finance and David during our final walk through were professional and knowledgeable. I had an appointment with Owen today , he told me that he would be off and two of his coworkers would be able to help me. Unfortunately they were both busy , I guess , and I got passed to a salesman that clearly did not want to be bothered . After walking to our desired RV he just unlocked it and let us in . He did not even bother to talk to us or show us how the slide slides out or the beds open . I have never been treated so poorly in my life , what a waste of time . We bought our RV at Avondale Camping World. There were a few minor issues to be fixed under warrant. Three months later and two trips to the service department and they are still messing us around. They have different excuses each time like waiting for the manufacturer, waiting for parts, but ultimately it comes down to how disorganized they are. And now they are trying to charge us for the warranty items. I have never experienced a more disorganized place. Sales dept was great but service dept leaves a lot to be desired. Would not recommend bring your RV here for service, find another place and save yourself a lot of time and headaches. read more

We spoke to a manager named Rich about a 2022 RV we wanted to see. He had us set an appointment to come in and see it at 5:30. When we get there they say Rich is in the bathroom and this lady would help us. She's an older woman, maybe late 60's, early 70's. Long gray hair, can't remember her name. She wanted us to sit in her office and fill out paperwork about what we wanted and how much we could afford. She acted like we had no money. She even says "you realize the one you're looking at is $116,000, can you afford that". Well we are here to look at it, so I think we can afford it lady. She asks if we only want to see that one or what they have on the lot. We said that one but if there was something else similar, we could look at that as well. She commented about the heat and how we probably didn't wanna go all over the lot. So when we went outside she offered to drive us in a golf cart and she couldn't find the one that we went there to see. Then she finally finds it and it's parked in a spot where neither of the slides were out and you could barely get in the vehicle because it was so tight. She was rude the entire time as if she didn't even want to be helping us. She was offended we didn't like it or it wasn't for us. She drove us to a couple more and then went back to the front of the store. My husband started walking to one that was near the front of the store and she just went inside and left us outside. Completely abandoning us as we are looking at other RVs on the lot. We walk inside, pass all the offices and no one says a word to us as she's standing there talking to somebody else in their office and we leave. It was the most unprofessional experience we have ever had. This woman treated us like we were garbage. We are business owners in the valley and we actually own a law firm and could afford what we were looking for. That was so disappointing. I absolutely DO NOT recommend going to this business.. I just remembered another thing. We asked to see one of the other RVs. On the front windshield it had a red sticker on it saying it was on sale for $99,000. While we we're inside the RV she said it was $126,000. I said no it's not the tag says it's $99,000. She Had the nerve to tell us that the sticker meant nothing that the red sale was off and it was $126,000. Ken told her that if the sticker says 99,000, it's 99,000. read more

We bought our travel trailer at Camping World Avondale. I have been disappointed with the service since they received our money. Everyone is attentive until you hand them the check. My service manager responds to me as if I am an idiot and a joke for asking my questions. My expectation is that if something is not working when I take the trailer out the first or second time it would be fixed under the warranty I purchased. It feels like pulling teeth to get things fixed. The orientation was great with Cruz but if I am unable to use what you taught me 2 months ago and I request a quick training on what was fixed, I do not expect to be told it will be another charge for another orientation. They had some items we really needed. Unfortunately a part we bought there and needed installed to continue driving safely we were told their bay was not big enough. This part did NOT need to be put into a bay to be installed so we asked if they had tools we could use after all it was a safety issue. We were told no. So we continued down the road until we could find a store we could buy tools and install the part in the parking lot. Shame on the store for putting people in danger. During my visit the "sales person" insulted my employment/employer choice, the vehicle I will be using to tow was called "a turd" (even though its a 2019 truck and more than ample), and had to listen to how much money they make, how big their previous houses are, and basically belittled my trailer choice as just a basic trailer that they would not be caught dead in. Then when asking "does it come with xxx, or can you order it with yyy", I was scoffed and told "no trailers in this size come with that", but yet I have looked at others that DO come with that. We've always been RV owners who have taken our RV unit to Camping World locations all over the country for new parts, service and whatever else we needed. However, we had never had a dealing with their sales staff or needed warranty work until now. The Avondale location is our first experience buying a new unit and dealing with warranty work from a Camping World. We bought a brand new unit at Avondale. The verbal negotiations were made but several items weren't as originally offered. Sales person offers one thing but the excuse of "if we give you that, we'll void the warranty" was used to get out of a bumper and a bike rack. We didn't get either. Okay, so the "money man" drew up the papers anyway. He was rude and insulting. However, from what we understand he is no longer there and that's a good thing. We also had problems getting the title. No one knew where it was and getting return calls required a visit to their Mesa location. We also needed a few fixes on the RV unit we purchased. The unit was back at Camping World several times. Finally after the third attempt on the first fix, it was completed but nothing else was. Communication was non-existent just like other reviewers indicated. We called and left messages for Service Manager numerous times but calls were not returned. We had to actually drive in to the Camping World in Avondale to discuss problems or make the appointments. Also, we were told it was Camping World's policy that an appointment was made to repair only one item at a time. Each item needing repair needed a separate appointment. What an inconvenience especially for snowbirds and there are a lot of those in Arizona during the winter. We had a water leak and our RV was back for repairs 3 times before it was finally fixed. We weren't really sure what they did the first two times except give us lip service. Damage to our outside panel was done by this leak. Service manager told us originally he'd order a new panel. When asked about it later he told us to take it somewhere to get it painted ourselves. Going forward we will not return to this Camping World for any repairs nor will we purchase from them again. We've had to make repairs and replace a few things ourselves and will continue to do so unless it's an expensive item. It's not worth dealing with this location. Are all Camping Worlds the same in regard to sales and warranty work? Or, are they franchises with their own policies? We don't know. This is our personal opinion of this location and we were not happy. So much for Marcus Lemonis' (CEO of Camping World) philosophy of practices, procedures and people. read more

Worst buying experience ever. The tactics used in this sale by the sales person and Camping World are very high pressure and dishonest. I found an RV I liked and told them all about my trade. When I went in to your office to discuss, I was insulted and told I did not tell you the truth twice, once they had me rattled they pushed the manager in front of me to sigh some papers I was left feeling beat up and worn out on this whole deal. In our conversation Michelle told me that I gave you bad information about the year of the Motor Home and I know I did not. Michelle also said I told her my son was fixing the awning and I know I did not. These two things she used to beat me up on the price of the motor home. Then you told me the NAIDA value of my motor home was $9000 and it is not. I looked it up, I am a smart person and am very insulted that Michelle insinuated that I told a lie and then followed it up with her own lie. Terrible sales tactics. Once Michelle did all this she rushed a :manager" in and had me sign the deal in a very high pressure style. This has been a terrible experience. I have not seen such pushy and terrible sales tactics in a very long time. I would never recommend Michelle or Camping World for anything. i bought a Cedar Creekfrom Avondale Caming world in October 2022. it was delivered with missing shower door handle and with a broken screen door handle. They had to orde the parts. we received a call in January that they were sending them out. Never received a call back . Talk to someone on Friday September 15 and Teresa was researching it and was going to call me back. Never got a call back. it's exhausting dealing with this companies service department. I see why now they have a barely 2 star rating. What is incredible is that the Celebrity called the profit owns this business.He has show that goes to struggling businesses to improve their business.
