You can't beat the price and it wasn't that bad of a burger~ from what I hear. I don't eat burgers however I did have campus fries without the patty and it was decent; a little too much aïoli but it's cheap and it's kind of like junkie snack food. How can you really complain?? I brought my husband and Son the jalapeño triple and a quad Smashburger and they both enjoyed it The prices are comparable to In-N-Out as well as taste, but I do give them two snaps for the fact that they put grilled onions on all their burgers, which is awesome.

The service staff were very friendly and quick. There weren't many others in the restaurant, and the food came out quickly. The tables were clean, the music was pumping (maybe a touch loud, but we can have our conversations elsewhere). What really drew me in were the prices. $3 cheese burgers and $4 fries are a good deal! Overall, the food was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. The burger was mostly bun, even considering the price, and the fries lacked flavor. I know some places put little or no salt or seasoning on fries and have packets to add your own. That's not the case here.

I had accidentally messed up my own order but thanks to the wonderful staff everything was perfect after my request. Shout out to the chef Randal Paramo! and the cashier Elizabeth Vargas who were both super friendly and the best of staff !

Campus Burgers opened recently where Champion's Curry was on Channing Way. (The posted address on Telegraph is wrong). New decor & probably seating too. 1 table outside, single seats next to wall & window. Many tables in the center. Loud Afro Hip Hop music blaring in background. Ordered at counter, pd. Got order 12 minutes later. Other orders after me got orders lst. Unknown if ordering on kiosk and/or online gets faster service. Offerings: hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fresh cut french fries, drinks.. Bites: hamburger (1.99) single 2oz. Smashed burger. -slight mayo smear. No onions nor other veggies. -self serviced mustard, ketchup packet. -burger patty slightly juicy, salty. 3.5 stars: only burger is worthy. Other items overpriced. Quantity: skimpy, reasonable for price. Quality: unknown-YMMV.

Quick and cheap? Absolutely - 5 stars Services- 5 stars Quality - 3.5 stars Campus Proximity - 4 stars Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let's explain these stars. I happened to walk by Campus Burgers in the morning and wanted to check it out for lunch once I realized they served grilled cheese sandwiches. Looked over their website and was surprised at how cheap everything was. $2.99 for a cheeseburger. $1.99 for a grilled cheese. O instead of ordering ahead and picking up since I was getting fries, I walked over and put in my order. I decided on the #2 (cheeseburger, fries and a fountain drink). I added on my grilled cheese and the total came out to $13.46 (including tax and the Berkeley mandated $0.25 disposable cup fee). I was handed my receipt with my order number and my cup for the fountain drink. I filled my cup with ice and root beer and then sat down to wait for my food. Took a sip of the root beer and it was on the flat side which was disappointing. Waited maybe 7 minutes and then my food came out. The fries weren't hot and crisp like others mentioned in their reviews but they were good. Not highly salted which I appreciated but definitely reminded me of in n out fries but in a cup. The cheeseburger is no frills. Meat patty, onions and a slice of cheese. At first look it seemed like a larger McDonald's cheeseburger minus McDonald's diced onions and ketchup. Don't expect it to fill you up. Now the highlight for me was the grilled cheese. Bread and cheese, that's it and that's how I like it so I didn't mind at all. Super cheesy goodness on nicely toasted bread. Heck yeah! I definitely will be back for the grilled cheese but probably would still head to Mel's or Super Duper if I'm in the mood for a burger. For the price point though and proximity to the south side of campus, definitely high stars!!

Campus Burgers is characterized by fast service, friendly staff, and a decent price to quality food ratio. I ordered the campus fries and cheeseburger, priced at $5.99 and $2.99, respectively. My food was out in about 3 minutes, both items hot off the line. The only gripe I have is that the dining room/patio area wasn't the cleanest, leading me to clean off my own table. In terms of the food, it was nothing short of good! The Campus Fries were salted evenly throughout, with it not being overbearing. It was served with a patty on top and a drizzle of their in-house sauce. The fries were hot and still crispy, which came as a pleasant surprise! The burger buns were extremely pillowy and reminded me of a high school cafeteria burger, in all the best ways. It was served with one slice of cheese and a bit of their in-house sauce. It was cooked like any other smashburger, with a bit of a crispy outer edge and soft inside. Campus burger hits all of the marks for a college town staple -- fast service, cheap prices, and feel-good food, making it a place I'll definitely be visiting again.

I was here with my girlfriend and her cousins late at night. We were next door at Purple Cow. We got hungry and made the decision to try Campus Burgers. It gave me In N Out vibes but in a cheaper way. Honestly prices were phenomenal. Gives you a taste what the old life of cheaper meal prices were like. I got the cheeseburger and campus fries. Both were delicious, I ended up with another order of campus fries on the go. The inside seating was pretty cool with a working garage door that can advertise the restaurant with the smell of the delicious burger and fries being cooked. The fries were not soggy or not burnt. It was crispy just right. The campus sauce was a great add on. I will definitely come back and try out their milkshakes one night. The flavors are vanilla, chocolate, or Neapolitan. Had a good meal :)

Went during winter break and there was no one there. It was the most delicious cheesy burger. I live for a cheesy, melty burger. Simple, few modifications, crazy cheap. I fed a family of 4 (small kids) for $27 after tax and tip. Super clean. Friendly server. Fast & easy. Love that they have burger boxes for bigger parties and groups. Limited seating. Will be back!

Honestly, great hamburger for the price. I mean 2 dollars for a hamburger? What more can you expect! The sauce, grilled onions, and patty are definitely delicious. I think for 2 dollars it's definitely a bang for the buck. If you're here expecting something gourmet or similar to a higher end burger, cmon and be real. In this day and age in the bay, the price is groundbreaking for an establishment like this. Service was great, came during a less busy time frame. Everything was clean and gives off burger joint, and I got my burger fast. I'll definitely be returning here when it's time for the bulk, 100%!

Stopped in late night for a bargain priced cheeseburger. The burger and fries were good. The price is what will make me return the next time I'm in Berkeley.

We decided to do a quick trip to UC BERKELEY to visit our daughter and we invite her Mema and Mempa to check her new place , our daughter told us about this location and the staff was so friendly, since we walk in I love the art in the walls and i was surprised with all the tables even if is a small location , the burgers were delicious now I understand why is busy it's because they taste like burgers made at home and maybe when the students feel home sick they can go and enjoy the taste of a homemade burger. The fries were delicious too just a little note. It's a big serving. Maybe you can share lol prices were really good. What I really love is that is close to campus close to the dorms so our kids didn't have to go far for a good burger for sure we're coming back

Solid burger spot in super close proximity to the UC Berkeley campus. Campus Burgers is a small but growing burger chain originating in San Jose. I've always wanted to visit the original but never found myself going to the South Bay. Then to my surprise, a new location opened 2 minutes from campus! The vibe inside is chill, with an odd mural on the wall haha. A wall of windows roll up to let a breeze into the shop, and there's outdoor seating. One downside was there was a herd of flies zipping around inside, attracted to the heat and scent of food. That was lowkey... ew. But they weren't flying at people at least. Y'all gotta do something about this though. Anyways, I ordered a double jalapeño cheese smash burger and an order of fries. It was $11, nearly comparable to In-n-Out. Burger was $5.99 and fries were $3.99. The burger itself was decent, nothing special! This is an old fashioned place, so the burger only came with cheese, grilled onions, and jalapenos. No sauce even which was disappointing. Don't expect to have a stacked burger with lettuce, tomato, raw onion, etc, they don't have it. Not even pickles. For what it was, not bad. The fries were actually my fav part. A big drink cup filled with fries, nicely salted, super hot and crisp! These were good. Campus burgers didn't really live up to my expectations. Did I expect much to begin with? Nah. It was a good taste but nothing to blow me away or be like "damn that really is a good deal!". I'd say it's worth h a try but not sure if it's return worthy :,)

$3 BURGERS? Campus Burgers is a quick and cheap burger shop on Channing Way near Telegraph Ave! I tried their regular cheeseburger ($2.99) and it wasn't bad but you get what you pay for. The patty is very small and their isn't much else to the cheeseburger than simply that. I also tried my friend's fries ($3.99) and milkshake ($4.99), which were both not bad - I would recommend those items if you get a chance to drop by. I ordered off their kiosk but they have service counters as well. The interior is pretty spacious and well-lit, while food comes out pretty quickly (~7 min from my experience on a weekday night). Overall, solid spot I'd check-out sometime again if I'm looking for something quick, cheap, and easy!

I wish the tasters were bigger, and wish they gave you something to track the different beers, because it's easy to get them mixed the way they serve them one-by-one. I wish they served them all at once as well, because I received my beers piecemeal, with one showing up 10 minutes after my other beers had arrived. On the food front, I got the al pastor fish tacos and tried the fish & chips. The Al pastor fish tacos were excellent, but the fries it came with were stale. The fish & chips were ok, a bit bland but well cooked. Like the beers, all of our food came out very piecemeal, with one item coming 10 minutes after everything else had come. Overall, it felt like the service was a bit hit or miss; the staff is nice but it was hard to get their attention, which I would attribute to them being spread thin. I think if you're not in a hurry this place has some good lunch specials and good beers to try, just be ready for a slow experience.

The bacon jam was decent, but the overall experience was wildly unappetizing. We also both got plain fries, which were somehow greasy and dry at the same time, and instantly turned stale as they cooled down.
