Sometimes 5 stars just is NOT enough…read more If you ever find yourself on the south side, you have to check this place out. I have heard friends rave about Yokohama for years, but it always seemed so far and out of the way. Now I am kicking myself for waiting so long to go and it has ruined me for a lot of other 'sushi' places closer to home. Not convinced yet? Read on. The owner only uses the freshest fish that she used to drive hours to get almost daily to ensure it is the best cut and quality - and this shines through in the taste of her offerings. The downstairs space is cozy and intimate - but they do have the coolest 'party space' upstairs that you can rent/reserve complete with in-ground tables for an authentic experience. They will also set up karaoke up there if you ask! Back to the food. Our group ordered about 10 items - all of which were so good that I was super mad that I had waited so long to try Yokohama. We were fortunate to go with a friend that has been frequenting this gem for about 20 years - so he ordered for us - and this is the way to go! We had the Volcano, BMW, Fat House (SO unique), Indiana, Speedway, and Debbie rolls, Sake smoked salmon and super white Nigiri, the Gyoza app, and another seared tuna app that I cannot remember the name of - all DELISH! Of note, your GPS might take you to what appears to be an alley - don't worry - you're close! Yokohama is in a converted house space and the vibe is so comfy. If you get the back corner table near the fireplace, check for a hidden drawer under the table where you will find years worth of love notes tucked inside. Request 'the lover's table' to sit here! Pro tip: if it is not busy, ask if Debbie is available to tell you a joke or to show you a magic trick. You won't be disappointed.

I throw three stars because I wouldn't come back again; personally I didn't enjoy the quality of the fish and rice. I found frozen ice bits in my sushi rolls and the size of the rolls are considerably large. On the plus side, the staff is welcoming and the place is clean and cozy. The appetizer Shumai was the tastiest. It was good to give this shop a try.

From the numerous remodels of the Emerson facility to the construction of their upcoming second location in Bargersville. This visit was one for the books for sure! The atmosphere was electric with it being Mother's Day, along with a long list of other celebrations happening at the same time. I have never seen the place that busy. That being said, the staff ran the business like a well oiled machine! Our reservation was set for 2p and we were seated with drinks and soup by 2:10p. Well within the expectation given the influx of patrons in and outside of the building. The food was on a whole other level! Our chef was Kelvin. He was AMAZING!!! Again, with the amount of times we have been to Fuji's the atmosphere Kelvin created was fantastic! The flavor and preparation was out of this world! If I could have given more than five stars I would have! I cannot say enough about how amazing Kelvin was! The next time you are even close to Fujiyama's make sure to ask for Kelvin and prepare to leave laughing, full, and planning your next visit! A special thanks to Ayumi for working diligently to transform Fujiyama's into the place it is today! We are extremely grateful!

Truly, I've rarely been to restaurants and been so blown away by the kindness and dedication of the service received, but this definitely makes my top 10. The food was also incredible - every portion was filling or more than enough (leftover worthy), so we all left very happy. Honestly, I'm just so excited to have a great new sushi & hibachi restaurant I can bring family and friends to, because finding ones you love can be tricky. I can't recommend this place enough! Also, I'm happy to report that this place was so accommodating for my professionally trained service dog. I always get a bit nervous that I'll face some form of discrimination or may struggle to get accommodations when going in public, but this place was so wonderful. They were so kind and treated my dog with professionalism! I am so appreciative of places that handles ADA law correctly!!

The place has a small dining area with a television and music playing throughout. They serve teriyaki-covered proteins in a bowl of either rice or noodles. The proteins include salmon, steak, and chicken. They also have desserts and sides, such as egg rolls. I ordered the steak teriyaki with noodles and an egg roll. It took me about 12 minutes to get my food. It was fresh and hot. It was pretty good. If you do not have enough teriyaki on your food, there is a bottle on each table you can use to add more. The staff there was ok. My interaction with them was limited, but they just did their job. The restaurant itself was very clean, and they do offer catering for those in need of meals for a special event/occasion. I liked my meal and am glad that I was able to stop by. I look forward to coming here again.

I went to…read moreTeriyaki Madness (they've got locations on the south side in Greenwood and also in the Castleton area), I believe they are also expanding to more locations and from the moment I walked in, everything about the experience was top-tier. First off, I got the spicy teriyaki chicken bowl (regular size), and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was packed with flavor. The portion size was more than fair for the price around $10.99 for the combo and it genuinely felt like you're getting your money's worth. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the sauce had just the right kick, and everything was fresh. I also grabbed an egg roll on the side (not included in the combo), and it was 100% worth it great size, crispy, and just done right. Now I'll be honest, I usually don't go for yakisoba noodles, but the co-owner, Brandy, insisted I try them. She had my girlfriend get rice so we could swap and compare, and I'm glad we did because both were seriously amazing. I'd go back for either one without hesitation. But what really made this experience stand out wasn't just the food it was the service. Brandy is hands down one of the most welcoming and genuine people I've ever met in the service industry, and I've been in it myself for over 7.5 years. The way she greeted us, asked if it was our first time, explained things, and just kept such a positive, upbeat energy the whole time it made a huge difference. She even came by to check on us while we were eating, which you barely see anymore unless you're at a sit-down restaurant and even then, some places don't do it well. She absolutely nailed it. If that's the level of care and energy she brings as a co-owner, I can only imagine how strong her team is. She sets the tone, and it shows. Overall, this place gets 5 stars across the board from me honestly, if I could give 10, I would give 12. And Brandy? 10 stars easy. She's doing everything right and deserves all the recognition. You can tell she truly cares, and that kind of effort doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you again, Brandy you're amazing at what you do. Keep being you. Your team is lucky to have you, and you're definitely setting the standard. - Gio & Marissa (the guy with the health & life science hat, you know who this is!)

I'm not a fan of raw sushi, so I always get the sweet potato roll and/or the stop 11 roll. We ordered DoorDash last night and added the tomago roll and it will be added to my favorites at Sushi Club. The stop 11 roll was all gone before I could snap a picture, but there are pictures uploaded by other users. Note: I do substitute soy wrapper instead of seaweed and I add cream cheese to the tomago and sweet potato rolls. It's $2 extra but well worth it. As far as pricing goes, when you order DoorDash there is a slight up-charge, but it's still fair pricing. We got three rolls for $40 with tip and service fees. Three people ate, so overall not a bad deal. If you want to dine in, they do offer AYCE made to order appetizers and sushi. The restaurant itself is no frills, but it's a good bargain if you can eat a good amount of food. If you don't like something, tell the server and don't just leave it on your plate at the end because you'll be charged extra if you leave a certain number of pieces. If you're a light eater like me and AYCE isn't for you, there is a full menu to order from. If you haven't tried this place, give them a shot! They also have a location on West 10th Street and in Fishers at 116th and Allisonville.

The food is flavorful, you can add or modify the vegetables you want and it was ready in no time. This seems to be a favorite for locals - it was really busy on a Saturday night and I saw some people eating sushi, which looked good even though I am not much of a seafood fan. I think that's definitely a specialty based on how many people were ordering it. This is going to be my new go-to take out spot for sure.
