We stopped here for lunch on the way to Prescott. The resturant was beginning to get crowed which is always a good sign. We were still able to get seated right away. The service was excellent and I thought the food was good. read more

Incredibly fast, incredibly tasty!! I've been going to their restaurants since I was a kid and they have never failed! Super yummy!

Not sure why there are negative reviews as this restaurant beats any of the other Chinese restaurants in the Prescott/Prescott Valley area. Service was good, food was good and beyond plentiful. The hot mustard is amongst the best (those of you faint of heart or who don't like spicy hot, steer clear so you don't complain). It's about time we found a place that had flavor and not bland food. We have eaten here numerous times and frankly has gone down in a spiral! Yuck! At first it was great. Not everything is bland with little or no color, tasteless. I will not pay for food that tastes old and a bit hard to eat. Over the years favorites included: happy family, chicken with walnut, shrimp and scallops, sesame chicken, and numerous chop suey, fried rice, etc. wish I had better news. We love eating here or having take-out. The owners are very nice and always remember us. The wait staff are very friendly and ready to serve. Mongolian beef and Singapore mifun are two of our favorites. We also like to take the kids in for the po po platter and wanton soup. read more

I felt like some fried rice so had my husband pick up a chicken and shrimp fried rice. The photo shows it with at least green onion. We receive two very bland and colorless meals lacking flavor and moisture. I whipped up some grilled onion, peas, and tomato in garlic to add to our dishes. Now it tasted good. Second chance given here and not good. Lesson learned. Not bad if you are looking for a base to make a meal at home. read more

The service was slow and had a very unpleasant vibe. The food came unusually fast, when our food arrived they had sent the wrong meals and would not change it. We need up paying a larger amount then intended. One of our meals had a terrible soapy after taste and was cold. When I alerted the staff they whispered to each other about not microwaving it long enough. That was very unpleasant to here that all the food was pre cooked and just thrown in the microwave. After hearing that I had my meal taken off, and they didn't wait out table after. They just brought our bill and didn't bother to say bye. read more

This is a place praying for the atmosphere...because the poor food, overpriced menu, and slow service:...this is no value! There must not be much competition for "Chinese food" in this area. On a scale of 1-10 Rice = 3 Egg rolls = 2 Sweet & sour = 4 Pepper chicken = 5 Moogoo = 3 Just plain and completely boring. Expect to pay $12 for lunch....don't do it! Seems to be a pretty average place with all the expected dishes. Pretty large portions of food, and not too expensive. Food seems to be pretty good quality and pretty good taste. I would have ranked this 4 stars, but I felt like my food was very plain. We ordered shrimp fried rice, and chicken fried rice. That's literally all it was - meat and rice. No vegetables at all. No onion, no peas, no carrots. Nothing. We got home and tried to chop up and cook some of our own vegetables to add to it. I would eat there again, but we'll order something different next time. read more

MARCH 29 PRESCOTT VALLEY We were here at 12:30 PM for a birthday dinner and were saddened to the fact that the food was cold...we asked to have hot food and it came back lukewarm. And of course the waiter and waitress just look at you and they don't know what to do. We waited for them to bring the hot food and I had to go ask them what was going on. At first the food was great and the order taker (Lisa?) was very appreciative of our patronage. First off, this place is way overpriced for the service and the food. Service was borderline non existent, felt like I was annoying the waiter. The free "hot tea" they gave was luke warm and I saw the server and the host touch his face and phone multiple times. Over all the food was ok, if yah really craving Chinese. Was really looking forward to some good old Chinese food. My mom and I ordered to share cashew chicken and pork egg foo yong. The egg and gravy part of the foo yong was fine, and the slices of pork were good, but those little square carrots and tiny peas that you buy in the freezer section at the grocery store ruined it for me. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. Every egg foo yong I've had in the last several years has had fresh vegetables (mushrooms, broccoli, water chestnuts, carrots, onions) that I enjoy much more. I was pretty disappointed. Dad had pork fried rice and you could barely find the pork in it. The service was friendly, but the prices just keep going up and I feel the quality of the food has not. Wife and I get take-out about 3 times a month and every time we have ordered, everything has come out delish. We are very picky eaters and ask for dishes to have some ingredients taken out, which they always do, no problem! The portions are very generous, usually enough for leftovers the next day. If I could give a negative star I would. This is the worst Chinese food my husband and I have ever eaten. Odd that there are some good reviews listed among the bad reviews, one would wonder if the good reviews are from within?? I was hesitant to try this place but it was getting late and figured why not, how bad can it be? The place was dirty, the servers were sarcastic and rude. I ordered a spicy garlic chicken dish, it arrived steaming hot (the only positive part of the meal). What a disappointment.....there was NO spice to it nor garlic to be found. The vegetables were mostly celery and mushy, the chicken was all gristle. My husbands beef dish had an overpowering flavor of burnt. If I didn't know better i'd say it was frozen food re heated. We could not eat it. The server asked what was wrong and when I told her she actually asked if I wanted a box. I asked for the check, which I received and we paid and walked out. The manager never came over to try to rectify the situation or offer to reduce the bill. What a waste of $50.00, I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Well what can I say, I have eaten here at least 20 times and it keeps getting worse and worse every time. They are like a slow sinking ship that is painful to watch. They are as rude as you possibly imagine. My wife and I laugh and pretend we are in a prision cafeteria and liken the wait staff to guards at the prision. The treatment is the same. I actually tried to send a Gen. Tso chicken back and was asked to justify why I would need to. We have no options here in po-dunk prescott valley... but this is bad... very bad. I visited here when they first opened and was not impressed. We tried again today (about 2 years later) and were very impressed. Our plates were full, hot and very delicious. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable. Thank you for a great meal. The only complaint I would make is one of the older servers (black uniform) was walking around like she DID NOT want to be there. I've been eating here since I moved to the Prescott area close to 6 years ago. I'm glad they opened this one here in Prescott Valley. I like the ambiance of this one much more then their Prescott location. With Jason pretty much in charge and his lovely and beautiful wife Grace, I always feel welcomed. I'm very picky when it comes to Chinese food as I am allergic to seafood. so with that being said, I cannot comment on those dishes. My favorite dish is their crispy beef. Chunks of beef deep fried in a sweet tangy sauce. I always ask for mild as chili peppers don't always agree with me. Their egg drop soup is probably the best I've ever had. Their egg rolls are generic with lots of ginger. other dishes I like are: General Tsao Chicken Orange Beef Garlic Chicken let's face it, this is a great place, very consistent and extremely reasonable for lunch. Most dishes are around $8.50 for choice of soup, entrée, egg roll and fried wontons. I can never eat it all and always take home another meal for the next day. my only complaint is they serve their food TOO FAST. Rarely do I finish my soup when my entrée is served. P.S. We have been to Cantron Dragon in Prescott a few times. Once sent lemon chick back because it tasted like and had the texture of cardboard. they refunded our money ordered out yesterday and the pork fried rice, mushu pork, shrimp snow peas were just really bad. They all taste old and the pork musts have been dog meat. I think they use rancid oil to cook with. We will never go there again. read more

Service is so much better at this place than the other canton dragon. I ordered potstickers and they tasted amazing. I also ordered orange chicken and it was alright, wasn't very impressed with it since the outside wasn't that crunchy as usual when i go to the other canton dragon. Pretty decent food Service is okay - and sometimes pretty good, depending on who you get - but it is good to be mindful of just some cultural differences... our american expectations are much higher, I think ! Plenty of parking and real nice insides.. gorgeous huge mural on the wall... I have been here two or three times now with friends - there are NOT a lot of choices for Chinese food in this area. We have not really had a bad experience. I did ask this time for one of my dishes to be cooked extra because i like it that way. We had 4 dishes and they were all decent and we were happy with the meal, the water, the service, the ambiance, noise factor inside, busyness factor, etc... Ordered take out which was ready quickly. The lady at the counter was sweet and thoughtful to give me plates and cups for the whole family so we could share entrees. BUT the General Tso chicken was tough, dry, and had a weird spice I can't put my finger on. The fried rice was tasteless. Basically rice that was tinted brown but had nothing in it. No veggies. War won ton soup was bland and had too much broccoli in it. The wonton were slimy. I do not recommend the food. It was not worth the money. I should have just gone for a burgers. read more

Fastest service of all time. I highly recommend the hot tea before your food, it's great. The portion sizes are huge! Most dishes you can split between two people, and most dishes come with a huge tub of rice. read more

I don't eat meat so I asked for fried tofu instead. Very large portions heavily sauced yet somewhat overwhelmed with a cheap sesame oil flavor. The eggplant and tofu looked like they started out with a promising future. The egg rolls are good size but alas I was not brave enough to try a bite. I was told they are vegetarian When the check came I noticed the surprise They charged me $3.00 more for Tofu because it was fried This made me wonder what the alternative cooking method might have been and what those charges would be So non meat eaters beware Seems to be well staffed and we felt watched throughout the meal but not in a good way You could do a lot worse in this town so give it a try but watch for non disclosed up-charges Bathrooms were clean read more

First time ordering from Canton Dragon. We selected due to rating of Best Chinese Food. Ordered Hunan beef, Moo Shu Chicken, pork fried rice and Wor Won Ton soup. Don't get the pork fried rice. Pork dry and very little flavor. Other three items were tasty but vegetables and won tons were all over cooked. We will try one more time in case this was just a bad night but one of the wonderful things about Chinese food is the lovely veggies. read more

They changed the egg rolls without warning. The new ones are nasty. When I inquired about the change I was told some people like the new ones and some people like the old. I just had lunch here, steam dumplings, beef lo mein and iced tea, cost me over $29.00 to get out the door. Ridiculously overpriced, and to call it mediocre is being generous. Flavorless , mass-produced dumplings, indistinguishable from any such (and truly, perhaps not as good as) you can find in your local supermarkets freezer. Lo mein veggies were hardly cooked, and while they should be firm, they shouldn't be overly "crisp" (i.e. practically raw), which these were. Save your money, look for somewhere else.. read more
