    Looking over the water
    Tracy C.

This place is legit popping. I love when you enter there was actually a private party going on. It looked like a happy hour and then when you turn to your right, you see this big beautiful restaurant. It looks very industrial but is very modern. The drinks were on point and actually a restaurant that actually brings bread to the table and you actually have a view from inside looking over to the water that day. It was cloudy and they have this little crystal house where you could take a picture in front of it. The service was great. The gentleman was on point and everything he said, and he explained everything and how the restaurant worked definitely a place that I would go back to when I return to Florida. so if you're looking for a more modernized restaurant and a cool bar atmosphere, this is the place.

Looking for a new place to try on our way home from a weekend at Epcot. Looked up a few places and this had some outdoor seating on a lake that sounded nice. We had reservations and from the looks of it that was a good idea since it filled up pretty quick and it was Sunday! Got our table outside on the lake. Looked over the menu. Grabbed a class of wine. Ordered. I got the Canvas burger. Really good. Great flavors on the meat and the toppings were fresh. Added an egg to 'breakfast it up'. They added bacon although I didn't ask for it. Good call! It was delicious. Upgraded to truffle fries and this was the only knock as they were not very truffaly but cooked nicely. Deb got the spicy beef salad. Soba noodles and steak with a really good sesame lime vinaigrette. Delicious. Large portion as well. Service was great and our server was very helpful with great suggestions. Food was very good. We will try to make it out here again.

We went for dinner and really enjoyed both the drinks and food. The service was also very good!!

Really nice place in Lake Nona with a beautiful view and very nice overall ambiance. Our waiter was amazing! Super nice and very attentive to our large party... however... Honestly I was not impressed with the food! My husband ordered the Chicken Picatta and it was very soupy and oily. The noodles would slip right off the fork and it was impossible for him to eat. It almost felt more like a chicken noodle soup. I had the Mojo Pork Shoulder, and the pork and fried yuca were the only good things on the plate. The rice and beans tastes like they were seasoned with sugar instead of salt. Sadly I'd say I wouldn't return or recommend this place. Other people in my party also felt disappointed with the food.

Holy smokes! Five stars is an underrating! This place deserves 20 stars!! The atmosphere was amazing the food was astronomical and gastronomical, and the service was unmatched. It was definitely pricey but totally totally totally worth the experience. My server was Julie, and she should be running this place. She was extremely accommodating, and I am not easy to please by any means. It takes a lot to WOW me. I left there secretly wishing that we could have been friends, LOL Here is what we had: Starters : Poached pears and Vermont cheddar salad and Lobster Bisque Entrees : Espresso rubbed NY Strip with sauteed spinach, turnips with Tandoori smoked carrots with truffle honey. Roasted Mushroom Pappardelle Pasta. Pan roasted Maine sea scallops Desert: Fresh Berry Mille Feuille with lemon curd, vanilla cream, raspberry pâte de fruit

We had the best time at Canvas Restaurant & Market in Lake Nona Town Center! The plaza itself is so charming and inviting, it makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. We originally stopped in for drinks and dessert... and somehow ended up sharing appetizers and full meals too (no regrets ). The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in, you can feel the hospitality. Definitely check out the chalkboard specials... and whatever you do, DO NOT skip dessert. Trust me. Absolute must.

I truly love coming to Canvas and this time was no different. Enjoyed a late dinner with a nice glass of wine and dessert afterward. I ordered the chicken piccata which was full of great flavor and great size portion. Service was very good and the ambiance was nice and quiet with low lighting which was nice. Canvas has yet to disappoint me and I'm look forward to brunch soon!

We wanted to love Canvas. It would have been great to have another terrific non-chain restaurant in our wheelhouse but it just missed the marks in our book. It's a gorgeous locale and a wonderful spot to enjoy the sunset. I would definitely recommend it for happy hour and maybe their handhelds are much better? I had a terrific Aperol spritz, but my husband's watermelon ranch water was as if someone thought about watermelon and dropped a dropped a teensy bit of pink food coloring in the drink. I don't even think a watermelon was waved over the drink. From his wince when he drank it I asked am I going to have to finish your drink? He did drink it, but he really didn't enjoy it. I should have put the three dollars worth of mint? Basil? In my purse for a later use. The bread service is a nice touch that is not so common. The butter was flavorful and well salted. None of the appetizers spoke to us and I knew I wanted dessert. We were both unsure what to get until we saw another diner get the chicken piccata. I love a good piccata but this was overpowered and a far too briny. The chicken was well prepared, but the sauce was just not enjoyable. I love a good caper, but these were the large caper berries and there really was just an over abundance of them. My husband had the bread and butter pudding, he loved the whipped cream, but these pudding was served cold. He ate it, but enjoyed some of my lime/coconut soft serve sundae. Will we back? Most likely not, we'd rather go to Nona Blue where we've never had a bad meal and it was actually more reasonable for the quality.

This place is pretty darn good! Located in the Lake Nona area. We went here for my girlfriend's birthday brunch and we all had a really good time. The ambiance is very brunch-like but it's a good time. Our service was great and our food was really good! The Benedict I had was so tasty and I would definitely get it again. Would recommend.

Sat outside by the water. So pretty to watch the sunset with good food and vibes. My pasta was delicious. Server was knowledgeable and service was great. Take me back!

Great food, but I didn't realize I'd be working as part of the staff during dinner. We still tipped... but at that point we probably should've clocked in instead. I swear this whole experience felt like a social experiment or something. We were quoted a 20-minute wait that turned into 40, which is fine, but when we got the "table ready" text and went up front, the staff didn't even know if our table was actually ready. Already confused. Then we get seated at a 4-person table. We ask if we can sit at the 2-person table literally right next to it (like... less than a foot away), and they say no. Instead, they have us pull apart the 4-person table ourselves to make it work... and we had to clean it too because there was still stuff on it. At this point I'm like ok so we're employees now? Then a manager comes over and asks us to pick up and rotate our table to make space for a couple with a baby. Mind you this is the SECOND time we've had to move our table. We do it... and then they don't even seat the couple there. So we just rearranged the restaurant for fun I guess. The hostess was also hovering and making small talk about a matcha I got from the coffee spot inside, which felt like she was trying to make up for the table situation but it just made everything more awkward. Also why are the water refills like that?? They kept coming by and pouring literal droplets instead of just filling the glass. And our server somehow had perfect timing in the worst way possible -- every single time my mouth was full, she would appear and ask how everything was. It became a running joke. At one point we were laughing so hard because we genuinely couldn't believe what was happening. The crazy part is the food was actually really good. We spent around $200, so I expected the experience to match. Overall... great food, but the service felt like a fever dream. At this point I'm just wondering when HR is sending my onboarding paperwork.

Baja Fish Tacos, Potatoes Au Gratin, Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps
    Alexis D.

What to say about @canvaslakenona ? It was a first time experience for me and a friend; and there are mixed reviews. I opted for the Fish Tacos which was served with Yucca Fries and a cilantro sauce, while he chose Pork Belly Lettuce Wrapped Tacos. For our side, we chose the Potatoes Au'Gratin. Honestly, the pork belly tacos were a major hit, I highly suggest to order that in comparison to the others. The fish tacos were incredibly bland. I also suggest to the restaurant to season a bit more. The restaurant is very pretty and great for photo ops.

A fantastic meal. Friendly, fast service and AMAZING food! I dropped in to kill some time after a flight into MCO mid-day on a Sunday. I sat at the bar and had a great experience. I HIGHLY recommend the strawberry basil daiquiri, it's not overly sweet and perfectly balanced. Also, the tuna tartare is a fantastic dish. The mussels are the only thing that wasn't worth writing about. Overall, this is such a gem and worth the strange path through a neighborhood to get to! I'll be back if I'm ever in the area again.

When you get there, unless you do valet, you have to park across the street in the parking garage. So as I made my way into the hotel; I noticed how sleek and modern the design of the actual building is. The day I came, the valet workers were busy parking all of these luxury vehicles, there wasn't a toyota in sight for miles. I found myself thinking: "Is this place too high falutin for me?" I opened the door and immediately was bombarded by the sounds of crowds of people all conversing at the same time, sounds of dishes/glasses clinking and jazz music playing in the background so if you're a person who has sensory sensitivity....Take that into consideration. If you have reservations like we did, you'll be seated immediately. The wait staff here is amazing. We did the magical dining menu, and after each course, they would not only clear our plates, but also silverware and bring fresh ones out each time. The wine here is incredible. I can't remember the name of the one I had, but it was from Sonoma Valley, it was red, voluptuous and so smooth being neither too dry or sweet. The Octopus appetizer was amazing. Perfectly cooked, great flavors, I would definitely get that again. My friend let me try the hamachi, and that was spectacular as well. I love the saltiness the caviar brings to the dish. I ordered the carne asada and I think that had it actually come out medium instead of almost well done I would have really enjoyed it. It had great flavor, and you could tell that the quality of the beef was good but I just kept thinking how much better it would have been had it actually been medium like I had requested. For dessert I got the Carlotta which came in a dainty glass. I loved it. The taste was exquisite and so rich that even though it looked small, I still had to give some to my friend. My friend ordered the Lemon Verbena and it was truly a taste of summer. That is honestly how I would describe that dessert: "Summer on a plate." Whoever came up with that dessert is a genius. Bacan is special because, they're all about the details, which they execute well on the whole. I feel like if the carne asada had come out like I had requested, this would have been a perfect 5 star experience for me. Don't get me wrong, this wouldn't stop me from coming here again, and actually; I look forward to doing so.
