    Blueberry Matcha Latte
    Emily W.

Blueberry Matcha Latte tastes unique in a way where it reminds me of Arsicault's blueberry croissant. Pair really nicely with matcha. The service is actually pretty fast with a big handful of people in line for the MLB Mondays free coffee. This cafe has a large space for working. it has another level below the cafe where you can work from your laptop. Will try different coffee on the menu.

No crowds in the late afternoon/early evening.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Always nice to find a space that is relaxed, brightly lit and has a good café.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There loads of choices for beverages, small bites and snacks for ordering. The baristas have become familiar faces and they recognize me (!). How nice is that! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating & tables are on 3 levels![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is free WiFi too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've run across international students studying in the café, convention-goers and also locals who I can chat with in a relaxed setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is also a Service dog friendly space![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love Capital One Café in my community (Downtown/Union Square/Western FiDi).

Went here for MLB Mondays and ordered their matcha latte, surprisingly very good- a great spot for a pre office caffeine boost. I would go there again.

Great place to pop in & take a break. * Location: 3 spacious floors with tables, seating, couches, & booths. Clean & well-maintained space, security & welcoming staff posted at the entrance. * Staff: Cafe staff & baristas are friendly and keep the queue moving. * Drinks & Food: Full cafe menu, small pastry case, small selection of ready to eat snacks. Tip: Discount on coffee & tea drinks if you use your Capital One card. Sweet deal & great place to catch your breath or do some work.

Stopped in for an afternoon pick me up while shopping downtown and it hit the spot. Got an iced chocolate covered cherry mocha... decent, not too sweet, exactly what I needed to keep going. What makes this place worth knowing about is the Capital One cardholder perk... drinks are half price when you pay with your Capital One card. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The SF location has plenty of seating though every seat was taken when I was there, lots of people with laptops settling in for a while.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was friendly and the space has a good energy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also appreciate that there's a security guard at the front door... some may see that differently but for me it adds a sense of ease, especially when you're stopping in solo.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A good downtown coffee stop, especially if you're a Capital One cardholder.

I love stopping by the Capital One Café downtown San Francisco. I always get lattes here, and they're consistently great. The location is spectacular, right in the heart of downtown, and it's a perfect place to relax, work, or take a break while walking around the city. Great coffee, great atmosphere, and a beautiful location - highly recommend.

Love Capitol one cafe! Been coming here for a couple weeks now. Love their vanilla matcha and lattes. There is free wi-fi, and if you have a Capital One or Discover card, you can get 50% off your purchase! What a steal! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's always very quiet and respectful inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll continue to utilize this space as much as I can!

I decided to take advantage when there was a deal for a free drink every Monday during baseball season, but I felt really bad for the baristas, who seemed understandably stressed out. Around 4:50pm the day I went, they were out of almost every syrup, so I ultimately ordered the caramel latte. I thought the drink was decent as you can taste the coffee, but it's not too unpleasantly bitter. It's a little sweet, but also almost sour, not sure if that's just how the Verve Coffee tastes. Not particularly memorable outside of that though.

They explained that the flight includes an espresso shot, espresso shot with milk, hot coffee, and iced coffee. I hadn't had a straight espresso shot before, so this wasn't for me personally just because it was so overpowering. I enjoyed the other three though. Like the majority of SF, parking is difficult to locate. I was dropped off nearby the location. It seems like there's also an upstairs but did not get the chance to check it out. I got an iced latte with their almond macadamia milk, and they're also so nice to do complimentary cold brew! So we got an extra drink for free. Trying the iced latte, it was pretty disappointing lol. I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. I do like the natural lighting coming into the shop, but nothing too special.

But Katsu is really becoming the new hype of the day for Japanese food, following the Sushi, Ramen, Japanese Curry, Katsu trend. So I came in with a critical view. I feel like Yoshoku in general may be next but I yet again digress. The box sandwich came in a cute little box. The inside was packed so I couldn't get a chance to fully appreciate the cafe, but the service was nice though the pay line may have moved slower than hoped. I'll say this. This is "the" best katsu sando in the bay. The katsu is crispy, but little on the softer side. But this hardness matches perfectly with the absolutely tender, soft, juicy pork wrapped inside. I'm looking at the menu again and it all makes sense. The pork has been in shio koji, making the meat ever so tender while adding the subtle but complicated marinated flavor. The cabbage is plenty, but not over packed to take away from the main Katsu flavor. What really perfects it for me, was not only the sweet and savory katsu sauce, but the mayo with dash of I think a karashi mustard. That slight tingle, the perfect kick gives a powerful awakening of flavor that really sets the it apart. This is art, an artisan. Culinary art is the refuge no raging rampant AI slop "art" can ever hope to touch. Until the day we get some cyborg implant to our brain into gustatory, olfactory functions. Even then, I don't think any tasteless tech bro are hopeless to create anything unique or beautiful.

My friend and I sat at the counter basically in a staring contest with the woman behind the counter, who just stared right back. After some 30 seconds, we finally flagging her down to place our order. After turning around the drinks suspiciously quickly, my friend and I sat down to catch-up in the empty cafe. Before long, the barista pumps up the volume, increasing higher and higher every 5 minutes or so, as if to signal to us that our time was up. I asked her to turn down the volume, which she tuned down from an 11 to a 7, but minutes later it continued to creep up, like the snooze setting of an alarm clock coaxing you to wake up - except in this case, to get out.
