The sales reps there work a few lots on that huge block and the inventory has got to be massive. He was able to find the truck I was looking for right away. As my wife and I were going over it, our eyes were drawn to another one parked a few spots away. I didn't know much of ANYTHING about that one but both my wife and I were hooked. Eric went over a lot of the highlights of the truck but didn't pitch it to us( I should mention I'm in motorcycle sales so I know the playbook) and he didn't give me a bunch of information I didn't ask for. I brought my 6-year-old Chevy Silverado Trail Boss in for a minor repair. The service department recommended a $3,000 maintenance package, which I regret agreeing to. About a month after the service, my transmission started slipping and eventually the truck stalled on the road. When I brought it back, I was told the transmission needed to be completely replaced for $12,000. They then "offered" to do it for $9,000 because the previous service had been done recently. That alone raised serious concerns. I found a reputable local shop that quoted $6,000 for the same job and arranged to have my truck towed there. I was told I didn't need to be present since it was simply being transported to another shop. Unbelievably, the dealership released the WRONG truck to the tow company. After a long back-and-forth, the dealership claimed it was not their fault. A tow truck driver does not just pick a random vehicle off a lot -- the dealership controls vehicle release. They eventually said they would reimburse the towing fee once I had it towed again. Four months later, I have received nothing. Someone please teach them accountability at least. Do yourself a favor. I went into this dealership, so excited to look at this car that I found on car guru everything was going good super excited until two days later my check engine light comes on. I reach out to Jason Cardenas the one who sold me the car told me to come back. They took care of that problem. Then my check engine light turns on two days later and my battery is completely shot alternator out. Jason Cardenas does not reach out to me. I pay for a warranty on the car thinking it was gonna cover everything as he mentioned to me or I didn't need to pay it as you know it's optional to pay for warranty come to find out the warranty does not cover anything that has to do with check engine now I'm a mom of four kids trying to figure out how I'm gonna take care of this car fix it and continue making the monthly payments. I was very skeptical when my husband told me about the deals and made a bet with him that it was going to be like all the others. I know most of us don't enjoy dealing with salespeople but I'm pleasantly surprised and impressed with Jason, he gave off awesome honesty vibes and he came through for us. I did tell the salesman I don't want any upsell like gap,service contract And ect. The truck I was looking for was advertised $69,695 on the internet but on their sticker on the window was 77k They come back at me with a $9300 upsell with unnecessary Bs. After talking to the closer /manager He explained to me that I didn't have to buy all that but there was a $695 fee that I had to pay for or they wouldn't sell me the truck.now I feel ripped off They lost a customer over $595. TL;DR Lazy and unpleasant customer service, incompetent (don't know how to conduct an out of state sale), rude, passive, and will ghost you. Go to any non-DGDG owned dealership anywhere else and you're guaranteed a better experience. I've had several bad experiences with all of the DGDG owned car dealerships along Capitol Expressway. The Chevrolet dealership in particular has especially poor customer service. They refuse to sell a car to anyone who plans to register out of state. Doesn't matter if you live in CA now but are moving and so want to register it elsewhere or if you're an out of state buyer. They will not sell to you. This is what happened to me. I saw a Camaro for my dad who wanted to buy out of state. I was told while I was there that they don't usually do out of state sales because it takes so long to get the paperwork done "and it's not a good customer experience." I told them we've done out of state buys many times before, we know what to expect, and we do not want the paperwork to be the reason they won't sell us the car. After seeing the car, I actually got ahold of the sales manager Andrew who said he WOULD make an exception and sell the car to us. But after three weeks and several phone calls from both me and my dad, multiple voicemails, and partially unanswered texts, Andrew ghosted me (see screenshots). I have called repeatedly since the texts in the photos to no avail. You can see in the texts how I've been strung along as if they're willing to sell the Camaro to us but they won't actually start the process. I wish I could say I'm surprised. I'm not. I have a Buick and have had the disappointing experience of getting it serviced at DGDG's Buick location before. They always try to overcharge for services, lie about what my car needs, and create a very unpleasant customer experience. They truly do not care to put in a little extra effort to sell a car because I'll register it out of state. They did a diagnostic first and say I should be happy because halfway through the found it to be the key fab battery. They tell me I had the right size but wrong voltage? Seriously? I bought Kia Niro EV from this dealership last saturday. Pro: can accept EV rebate, have good selection of EV car, having multiple cars available, car is generally in good condition. Cons: Sales guy bullying me before I bought a car LOL I don't know they still use the same intimidation tactic like it was in 90s but after tough negotiation I was able to reduced the price for $800. But after that: loan finance miscommunication that frustrated my CU. They sold EV without even a charger ! and then they don't change the license plate for a temporary one. 2/1/23 we join the EV family! Allen and I finally decided to pull the trigger when our current (and only) gas vehicle was having some problems. Everyone else in CA probably has the same idea too, since there is a tax credit if you are eligible. We worked with Omar the entire time. Starting from the initial call, through signing paperwork, and handing off the keys. While it's extremely busy here, but the staff here is EXTREMELY friendly. I love the chill vibe. There is free wifi, and the staff will have phone chargers for you (trust me, you're gonna need it). The whole process took 4.5 hours. They also needed to charge the vehicle. They have coffee and tea in one corner, vending machine here as well. Near the end we worked with Armando (I'm not sure if that's how you spell his name) and I appreciate that he wasn't trying to force us to buy anything against our will. I had a very positive experience test driving and ultimately buying a car here - way better than the last time I tried to buy a car in person. I made an appointment online to test drive a Bolt EV, got a text and phone call confirmation and then headed down on a Saturday to test drive the car with Ryder, the salesman. Ryder was very nice and helpful, and not at all pushy when I said I wasn't ready to immediately buy that day. After some thinking I decided I was indeed interested in buying the Bolt, and texted Ryder. He was off that day, so I ended up working with Misha who was also really helpful and made sure I got set with everything I needed for the EV that I didn't know much about (EVgo credits, OnStar stuff, etc). While the process took some time, everyone at the dealership was really nice and I also ended up trading in my current car there as well. They charged up my car while we worked on all the paperwork and a few hours later I was off with my new electric car! I bought a DGDG Certified 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid on 03/01/2024, 20 days before the check engine light came on yesterday morning, 03/21/2024. I brought the car in yesterday and since it hasn't even been a month from purchase, my service advisor Steven had mentioned something about the vehicle warranty not being in the system yet due to some 30 day cooling off period. I left the van there yesterday and got a call today that after talking to their sales department, that they won't even diagnose what is wrong with the van that I bought 20 days ago....20 days ago!!! So much for their advertised DGDG "peace of mind" guarantee. I have driven less than 1,000 miles since getting the van. My van came with a 12-Month/12,000-Mile Limited Warranty and they won't even plug it into their code reader to determine what is wrong with it. They are insisting that I have to pay $300 for diagnostics even though I have a service order that says that it will go in for 28-point vehicle inspection, compliments of Capitol Chevrolet. I am told that the 12-Month/12,000-Mile Limited Warranty only comes into play if the engine or transmission has failed. Basically, only if the van is completely broken down and dead. So basically my van is still sitting there untouched.... Since yesterday, I have sent multiple texts since yesterday morning before 7am and left a voicemail for my sales person, Jeff. Prior to the purchase being finalized, he was prompt and timely with responses, but the aftercare is lacking since I haven't heard from him yet today (over 30 hours later). I have tried to get a hold of the sales managers, either Gabriel or Stephen with no luck. When I talked to the person who answered the phone from sales, he mentioned that DGDG Certified vehicles come with a 1 year 12k mile powertrain warranty. I also had to leave a message for Trent, the service manager. I really just want this issue fixed and to get my van back. At this point, it's hard to not feel that they are all dodging/avoiding me. But unfortunately couldn't close on the price, which happens that's not the problem. In all honesty the Sales Manager Steven Vise lost the sale. We were trying to negotiate paying for the sticker price and mentioned we were on a budget. When Steven came in to close he continuously talked over us. Repeating why the price was fair, never once did he ask us what our budget was. He kept saying he could work with us but never gave another offer. We finally just left after the 4th time he interrupted my husband. Since he didn't care to ask what were willing to spend we figured he wasn't serious about doing business. Do not bring your vehicle here for inspections. Was told my car was perfectly normal, passed all inspections and they "topped" off my fluids. A week later realized they drained and flushed my coolant and never refilled or replaced it. 3 months later noticed my brake pads were lean, rotors needed replacement as well. S-C-A-M. They're pumping vehicles in and out all day long and the shop attendants are either incompetent or negligent and purposely not completing the work they are being well compensated for. Update: This is a late addition, but the issue was eventually resolved. They found a "frayed wire" and replaced the key fob, which finally fixed the problem. I was happy to have my truck working again--until I noticed something during delivery. My truck no longer unlocked automatically when I put it in park. When I brought this up, Trent insisted that it was normal and that trucks like mine simply didn't have that feature. I knew he was wrong and pushed back. To prove his point, Trent went to get an identical truck from their lot, which backfired spectacularly. When he put that truck in park, the doors unlocked exactly as I said they should. He was caught off guard, didn't know what to say, and became visibly frustrated. This led to a full-blown yelling match between us in the service driveway--in front of other customers and employees. Eventually, he apologized, and we got into my truck to check the settings. Sure enough, after a little digging, he found the setting that needed to be changed. While I appreciated getting the problem solved, Trent's behavior was completely unprofessional. He clearly doesn't know how to manage his team--or his temper. I haven't been back to Capitol Chevrolet since and will never return as long as Trent is employed there. It's been a while, but I hope this review helps others make an informed decision. read more

I bought a brand new truck from this dealership (2023 Chevy 1500) in late 2023. Since buying, it has been in the dealership or at a mechanic 4 times for the same issues. Every time it goes in, it is there for 3 to four weeks for repairs. My father liked my truck and bought the exact same truck in a 2024. He is having the exact same issues with his truck and is now on his 3rd drop off to his dealership. The dealer doesn't call with updates, doesn't stay in touch, just sits on my truck.
