Buck a shuck LOCAL oysters everyday until 4pm! My husband said they were so clean and light tasting. I had the fisherman's platter which was delicious. Key lime pie tasted like I was back in the key West with how tart and creamy it was. The only thing I disliked was the clam chowder. But I would definitely return.

Our first stop on our roadtrip to Rhode Island for a Costal Weekend. This is a local watering hole, where you can slow down and have a drink while enjoying the sea breeze. A great place to relax after being in the car a few hours. But it gets busy after 7:00 pm and the parking lot was full. The fried haddock tasted fresh with a light breading. The focus was on the fish. I prefer a crispier beer battered breading. The clam chowder left me disappointed, I prefer a prefer a thicker chowder with more savory flavors. This felt like more of a soup. This was my first time ordering clam cakes. They were very similar to hush puppies. The service was an average experience. Overall felt ok, not super impressed but not bad either.

Awesome place, wonderful service, fantastic food, huge serving at great prices. Great casual dining, we go a couple times a month. The best stop for lunch, dinner also the dessert is amazing.

    Lobster roll and Cole slaw.

Amazing food and service. Oysters were great and only $1 a shuck (before 4:00). Hard to find that nowadays. Steamers and lobster rolls were on point as well. Love this place!

*Cap'n Jack has two locations next to each other* This place - The Salt Marsh Pub & Raw Bar - was so underrated. Went there last minute based off their decent google reviews and couldn't be happier. Sat outside with a beautiful view, staff was attentive and friendly, beer was great, and food was delicious! We'd go back when we're in town again. Highly recommend:)

Came here at 11 am on a Saturday right at opening. Staff were ready to welcome us in. We opted to sit outdoors which was a patio overlooking a salt marsh. The server was friendly and made sure that we were doing well, she even came to talk to us about the bunnies and the birds that hang out in the area. Got the chowder and clam cakes. Chowder definitely had a lot of seafood and potatoes in it. Clam cakes are like big pieces of fried bread with clam in it. I've never had it before and was pleasantly surprised by the crispy exterior and soft chewy interior. It was a little too heavy for me so I only finished one cake. Overall, I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Buster Krab's with a K is definitely one of those coastal town American restaurants that do well with vibes and big groups but leaves a lot to be desired. I did love the kitschy-ness of the restaurant -- the logo was for sure made in Microsoft Word. What I really appreciated about the place was the waitress was able to do individual bills for 12 people which is a feet and of itself so kudos to the team that work there. Trust me it was not me that asked for individual bills, I would never do that. I got a spicy margarita that was alarmingly neon, green and so strong. The lobster roll that was $30 was really average. Overall, nothing super special but a typical coastal town restaurant. Service was superior though.

Here the lobster roll was a great size and very filling it was also super delicious. I also got the fish and chips and it was also very good and filling. The ambience of the place is nice cause you have outside seating with views of the boats and places around. Definitely will come back for that lobster roll.

Upon our 5:30 p.m. arrival, my wife and I were immediately seated in the far corner of the outdoor patio. From the beginning, the host's demeanor came across as cold and dismissive. When she told us to "enjoy," her tone made it clear she didn't mean what she said. When our waitress arrived, she wanted to explain what the daily specials were, but before she began, we politely asked if we could move to another section of the patio so we could sit in the sun. After speaking with the host, she returned with what I can only describe as a smart-ass attitude, saying, "Those tables are for people who actually have reservations." We completely understood if those tables were reserved, but there was absolutely no reason for the condescending attitude. Instead, we were moved to another corner table, and after the host decided to tell us "enjoy" with the same condescending tone. Once we sat down, I asked the waitress if she could explain the daily specials, but then she quickly replied, "now that we're at a different table, the other waitress/waiter will have to do that" since it wasn't her "zone". As we sat there, we couldn't help but notice what appeared to be a noticeable difference in how other guests were treated. The tables that gave off what I would describe as a more "upper class" appearance, well-dressed white guests who appeared more affluent, seemed to receive a warmer welcome and far more attentive service. Whether that was intentional or not, we couldn't shake the feeling that we were viewed differently. I'm white myself, but perhaps my tattoos or the fact that I was dining with my Brazilian wife caused us to be perceived differently. I honestly don't know. What I do know is that we left feeling like we didn't fit the restaurant's idea of its preferred clientele. For example, our waitress never offered us the option of tap or bottled water, while nearby "upper class" tables were given that choice. Around 6:10 p.m., we ordered appetizers, which took roughly 20 minutes to arrive, while tables seated after us were already receiving their food. We then placed our entrée orders and waited... and waited... and waited. In addition, we found a hair in the salad that we ordered, and when we brought it up to the waitress, her only answer was "that's impossible, everyone in the kitchen wears hairnets... At approximately 6:40 p.m., the hostess came to our table and explained there had been a "mix-up" because we had switched tables, causing our entrée order to be delayed. That explanation made very little sense. How does simply switching tables result in an order being delayed by that much? It pointed to a serious lack of communication between the front of the house and the kitchen. By approximately 6:50 p.m., I believe a manager came to our table and asked if there was anything he could do. At that point, I bluntly asked for the check because waiting well over an hour for our food was simply unacceptable. Ironically, our entrées finally arrived around 7:00 p.m., but by then we had completely lost our appetite. I sent the food back and again requested the check. Even then, it still took another 10 minutes to receive it. To the hostess's credit, she apologized, and I told her I appreciated the apology. However, I also explained that this restaurant clearly has a major communication problem. More importantly, the dismissive attitude we experienced from the moment we walked in set the tone for the entire evening and left us feeling unwelcome. In a nutshell: We waited an hour and a half for our food we never received, we were mistreated, felt discriminated, and there were still PLENTY of open tables in the patio facing the sun. This was our first visit to Narragansett, and unfortunately it was not the welcome we expected. I didn't even bother asking if the restaurant offered a military discount because, by that point, I already felt like we didn't belong. We will NEVER return.

From a faraway place where a majority of the population would prefer…read moreto have everyone who speaks Spanish (that they don't personally know) thrown into concentration camps simply for existing, so the choices of this style of food there are thin, at best. There are one or two restaurants that are passable for the area and would probably be a solid 3-3.5 out of 5. This place is a 5 out of 5. This place could be a 6 out of 5 compared to my local restaurants. And believe me, I took nearly two years of Spanish in high school, so I know a thing or two about a thing or two. I ordered fish tacos and my wife ordered the enchiladas verde (green) as takeout. When I got to the restaurant, I was greeted by three (tres) lads whereby one of them promptly handed me my order. When I pulled the food out of the bag back at the hotel, I was greeted with an absolute masterpiece of culinary art, the fish tacos. The red cabbage slaw covering the tacos, mixed with the sauce was beautiful (bonita) and vibrant. The enchiladas verde looked just as good, but were less vibrant in presentation. It seemed like the chefs cared about the product they were serving to their customers. The rice that came with the enchiladas had a great consistency and not dry at all - I can't stand dry rice. My wife said the enchiladas themselves were flavorful and seasoned very well and not the "suburban white lady" kind of seasoning. However, she doesn't write the reviews - I do - so I will talk about the fish tacos. There were three of them and I got them made with the corn tortillas (tortillas). Any fish taco I have ever had has always been small nuggets of fish smattered through the taco. These bad boys were absolute units where the entire bottom of the taco was one large fried piece of haddock, covered in a somewhat tangy sauce, and topped with red cabbage. The sauce and red cabbage made for a bit of a messy meal, so be prepared to get your hands dirty if you order this. I would not recommend getting these (or the enchiladas) if you had to drive down US Route 1 at the apparent local speed limit of 75 miles per hour and expected to just chow on some tacos while doing so. By the way,, what's with that, RI drivers? It's not the Autobahn. I had a RideOn bus 5 ft from my bumper while doing 70 on there yesterday. Calm down (or should I say 'clam down', amirite?). Anyway, this food was very good and next time I am in town, I would like to go there and sit down to eat while trying to ignore the fact that half the people around me here sound like Peter Griffin.
