Store Complaint - Flamingo & Decatur Location I very rarely visit this location at Flamingo and Decatur because historically it has had issues, but I stopped by this evening after visiting a friend to pick up two sandwiches before heading home. I arrived at approximately 10 minutes before closing, and there were no signs posted anywhere in the store stating that the last orders are taken 30 minutes before closing or that the grill would already be shut down. The store hours posted indicate they are open until 8:00 PM. When I requested two cheesesteaks with fried onions, sweet peppers, and mushrooms, the female employee immediately began yelling that the last orders go in at 7:30 PM and that she had already cleaned the grill. Her behavior was extremely unprofessional--she was slamming items around, muttering under her breath, rolling her eyes, and eventually went to sit down while visibly upset about the request. What made the situation more concerning is that she was not in the proper uniform and was wearing a large nose ring, which raises potential health code concerns regarding food service standards. Thankfully, another employee--a heavyset gentleman with a beard--stepped in and handled the situation professionally. He politely asked what I would like and made the sandwiches without any issue. He was respectful, calm, and clearly understood how to treat customers properly. He deserves recognition for his professionalism. For context, I work in the EMS medical field, and I was still in uniform at the time. In our profession we cannot simply refuse service to someone because we are close to the end of our shift. If the business is open and customers arrive within posted hours, they should be treated respectfully. This type of behavior from an employee reflects poorly on the entire store and the brand. I have already informed the area manager and shared the video of the interaction because this is not the level of professionalism customers should experience. I will also be following up with corporate and store management. My goal is not to attack the business itself--because the food was good and the other employee handled things properly--but situations like this drive customers away and damage the reputation of the store. I hope management addresses this issue so the location can improve and provide the level of service customers expect. read more

We went with a thanksgiving specialty sandwich . The Bobbie," a cold sub that features slow-roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, handmade stuffing, and mayonnaise on a sub roll. They also had gravy to pour on the side to top it off. Overall it was pretty good and a good combination of everything. It was a good balance of sweet, salty, and hearty. This sandwich spot I don't go to often because I'm not too familiar with the menu, but I know it's pretty popular in the LV area. read more

It's been a while since I last ordered from Capriotti's Sandwich Shop, but today's delivery reminded me why I used to love it. I went with a mini cheese steak sandwich (added hot peppers) and a mini Capastrami sandwich. Both were packed with flavor -- the cheese steak was perfectly savory with just the right kick from the peppers, and the Capastrami was smoky, tender, and oh-so satisfying. They never seem to skimp on the protein and other ingredients with their sandwiches. The wagyu roast beef is very tasty, as well as the wagyu cheese steak! I've heard many great things about Capriotti's in Las Vegas. To me, it was all hype. I got their American Wyagu Cheesesteak sandwich with no cheese. The thing looked anemic and the meat was flavorless. I request for the hot and sweet peppers to be put on the side. They put them in the sandwich. Which I feel like it over powered everything else in the sandwich. My friend got a small chicken cheesesteak and a small Italian. The chicken on the cheesesteak was over cooked and dry. However; the Italian was good. But how can you really screw up a cold sandwich? The staff were nice enough. But no one stood out. The inside of the establishment was clean enough. Does Capriotti's really need a review. Sure why not? I'm pretty sure their slogan is world's best sandwiches. People are friendly and make your food on the spot. I always get the large Philly cheese steak with everything when I feel like treating myself. The hot peppers are actually pretty hot though so if you can't handle spice you might want to get them on the side. The only thing about this location is that there's no restroom. Waiting 15 minutes for a classic cheese steak while listening to very loud crappy music with speakers buzzing. We won't be back.

Caps is doing so much better with their food quality and price per quantity. My only issue is, you sign up for their text service to receive discounts and notifications, you follow a link to save $5 on two large Bobby's (when you really only needed one but thought, "for 5 off, let's just eat Bobby's the next 2 days," so you follow the link in your offer text, make your order, spend almost $60 on 2 sandwiches and NEVER got the $5 off. No matter what you do, you can't get it to your order. You go back and follow the text link over and over, redo order each time, go into your rewards 0.. go into coupons.. no code.. finally say screw it.. after 45 minutes of trying to get 5 bucks off. I called the shop, and the worker said he was unable to put the discount into the order system. So there's that. Btw.. the kid on the phone was helpful and tried, or sandwiches were pretty good. I still feel like a $22 dollar sandwich should be more than bread and stuffing, without ordering extra turkey, but what do i know? So, if you're gonna sign up for texting to get coupons and promotions, expect to be blown up by capriottis pretty much on the daily, and then expect if you try to use a discount, it ain't happening. We were hungry and wanted to grab a bite to eat before an event so we stopped by. We ordered the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, it never goes wrong, was hot and steamy. It's a pretty standard sandwich shop, black and white checkered tiles on the side of the counter, and a good selection of sandwiches to choose from. Service was quick and easy, we just popped in, ate and left. There wasn't a lot of people on a Wednesday evening, the parking lot was full though with Shang's next door. Food was simple but well executed. I loved the chicken cheesesteak that I ordered! I added hot peppers and it's exactly what the sandwich needed. The bread was super soft. Even though we got size small sandwiches they were large enough to fill us up on the road trip from Las Vegas to LA. The parking is a bit difficult since there's lots of restaurants but definitely happy we stopped here! We didn't realize it was a chain so we'll definitely be getting their sandwiches again. Don't order curbside pick up!!!! You'll wait in your car for over 30 mins and still have to go inside.. My sandwich is so soggy the bread is inedible. So don't bother using special instructions because they claim they're too busy to read them. Even tho they clearly had more employees than customers in the shop... I use to love this place and this location.. I haven't been in a couple years but I was in the neighborhood.. I won't be back.. Bummed.. I tipped and had an extra cash tip in hand cause I felt bad about using curbside but I was coming from the vet down the street and didn't want to turn the ac off or leave my car running in that neighborhood.. My colleague was insistent about having a Philly cheesesteak from Capriotti's and he's from Philly. It's been a while but I've been to Pat's, Geno's, Jim' South Street, and Dalessandro's. NOTE: I don't eat meat or cheese anymore so coming here was going to be tough sledding but hey, I was along for the ride. My colleague ordered his usual and I was just looking to get some veggies on a hoagie roll and call it a day. I did notice that they have veggie chicken. Veggie chicken can mean a lot of things so a clarification and ingredient check was in order. They did provide the information and they did accommodate me. So, I ordered a Veggie chicken cheesesteak without cheese but with grilled onions, tomatoes, and shredded lettuce. To say it was a hot mess is that's being nice. It was a mess and I made a mess trying to eat this gigantic sandwich. It was like trying to put a square peg in a round hole. Did I do it? Sure, but was it worth it? Not really. I do applaud Capriotti's for having veggie chicken, being friendly enough to make my sandwich, and they did offer an Impossible Cheesesteak but it's more me than Capriotti's. After seeing my colleague's Philly sando, I'm more sure than Shirley that Jim's, Geno's, and Dalessandro's has Capriotti's beat like Eagles got beat by the Seahawks in 2005 by the score of 42-0. I love sandwiches, I'd rather eat a sandwich than any other food. I love good delis but they can be hard to find and many towns do not have one at all. I'm not talking Subway but a real Deli. Capriottis is a chain and not as good as what you'll find in NY or Chicago they get very close to it. I've had everything on the menu at various times and locations and I can't say I've every had a bad sandwich, just that some I liked more than others. The place could use some decor, some dressing up a bit, and I would have given it 5 stars it if worked a little more on putting on a good face. I But if you need a whole in the wall with good filling food made to order, and your not planning on staying there to eat it, I would recommend it. Mike placed our order. I ordered a medium sized The Bobbie. I'm expecting something smaller than a 12 inch at subway, hard on the outside French bread and to be asked what I want on it. None of that happened first off The Bobbie medium size is $8.50 and it looked like a foot long maybe a little bigger. The large size is 20 inches!!! Yeah too much for me. The bread is so super soft and just might be the best hoagie roll ever! Inside is a huge amount of freshly roasted and shredded turkey both white and dark meat, cranberry mayo chunky sauce and stuffing/dressing. It tastes like thanksgiving is in your mouth. I would leave 0 stars but it's not an option. This rating if for this location. This location is my go to spot as it's a close distance for me...tonight I didmt want to cook so o decided to hit up my go to spot. Capriottis is an amazing sandwich shop that is definitely worth becoming a regular at. I love the philly cheesesteak, it's basically all I get at capriottis. Unfortunately, Just not this location anymore though. I have been a consistent regular to this location for the past 4 Years. I have Always ordered my philly the same exact way, always. Never failed to give me a very satisfied stomach. Nowadays though, not so much. Supposedly they're under new management. Still does not make up for lack of customer service, honoring store hours, and keeping a consistent product. A year or so ago, i ordered a philly as usual and when i got home (2 mins away) the sandwich was so oily the bag was drenched as well as the 3 layers of paper they wrapped it in. I opened the sandwich an the bread was like soup.. I called to complain an with out question they corrected it an gave me a credit for a new sandwich. So I keep returning, havent had a problem since. Then. Tonight, a year or so later. It happens again. I call and I explain the condition of the sandwich. So Oily! The employee says he will talk to the employee who made it.. comes back an tells me he didnt do anything wrong or add more oil so they cant be wrong.... I guess me calling is just saying I'm lonely an wanted to talk to someone. Why would I lie about this? I just want to eat a properly great capriotti sandwich. I'm a regular of 4 years, I enjoy the sandwiches always. When cooked correctly. The employee then tells me I cam bring back the sandwich and receipt any other day this coming week and his manager will look at it and help however he sees fit. A complete and utterly ridiculous request. Just own up and right your wrong and take care of your customers, especially regulars. I most likely have just gave up my residency as a regular to this location. Let you know if I ever try this location again. May take months. TRY CAPRIOTTIS, JUST NOT THIS LOCATION! Went in today to get a Large Philly Cheesesteak, like i normally do. But this time once i got to the second half of the cheesesteak i bit into a literal piece of metal that resembles a razer blade. Very unsafe, if i had eaten more quickly it would've been a very serious health issue. I called and spoke to a manager and was told to bring it in so they could see.
