I had a frozen pipe going to the outside spigot that popped at the connection, and despite the crazy snow storm, Adam with Captain Rooter was able to get out quickly and replace the section of pipe so we could get our water turned back on. I cannot help but think that the plumbers from this company had me waste money by insisting I needed to fully replace a toilet that likely didn't need replacement. My dual-flush toilet was periodically running because the seal from the flushing mechanism wasn't good. I explained this to the plumbers and they said that I needed a new toilet. Fast forward a few years and this same problem is happening with the same model toilet in a different part of the house. I used the service Fixer and they were able to repair the toilet with a $35 replacement flushing mechanism and an hour of labor. I am upset that the plumbers here wouldn't even entertain the idea that the toilet could be repaired. Service cost me over $1000 dollars and I feel like I way overpaid for what I needed. The service they did perform was solid and everything they did worked well. I definitely recommend getting a second opinion if they are proposing an expensive solution. read more

This company broke a line while cleaning and caused another trouble. Water got stuck in my bathtub and called them right after Christmas. The guy came to fix it quickly. He charged me $350. One month later, I found water leaking from hallway and living room. I actually found out that one joint under bathtub was broken. It was obviously that the damage was caused by their repair guy but the customer service said they were not responsible for any damage. High cost and no warranty at all after the job. Brandon's team saved us last month when our sewer line started backing up. Of course it was over New Year's Eve and a weekend, but they came out right away and the price for emergency services was on par with what we expected. Unfortunately it was an issue we soon found that would require a lot more time and equipment than they could get that day, as everything was closed for the holiday. They quickly lined up the shovel and pipes they needed and came back as soon as they possibly could (which was the Monday or Tuesday immediately after the holiday). We woke up at 5:30am to a major leak in our bedroom. Called Captain Rooter at about 6:15am and could not have had a better experience! Every person we interacted with (forget the receptionist's name) to our plumbers (Bob and Mike) were 110% awesome! Bob and Mike came out within 2 hours on Memorial Day weekend, checked everything out and found the leak! They were friendly, kind, courteous and respectful. The total cost was $375 for an emergency call and to find the leak, which I think is more than fair! Giving this company a 3 star due to prices seem a bit high, total was $365 for a flap and valve replacement, $325 after the new customer discount from Yelp. Issue was the toilet would not fill up properly and also would not flush without pouring water in the toilet. Pat showed up within a half and hour and job was complete within an hour. Good customer service. This is a good company for emergencies, but their prices are higher than average. read more

Called and explained my issue with person on phone, very professional and told me Joe would be by in an hour. 50 minutes later Joe shows up and show him my issue. He explained the work that he'd be doing and started right away. Joe worked through the issue and had my clog cleared in no time. My clog was much deeper in my pipes and not at the sink level. Joe also shared with me a product that will help keep pipes clear and work naturally to reduce any build up over the years that occurs. I found the company on Yelp. My shower stopped working and I wanted free estimates to assess the issue and hopefully get it repaired. The company responded and had free estimates and dispatched a plumber out to me in 24 hours or less. The plumber was on time and called before coming. He arrived and assessed the situation and had some diagnostics or ways to attempt to remedy the situation. He was clear in the costs and what he was doing. However, my issue was more complicated than originally assessed. It was determined that to fully solve my problem my wall with tile would need to be cut to access the pipes but the company because it's a plumbing company would not be able to re-tile or put drywall back up which is not economical to me. Most plumbers probably don't do drywall or tiling so I understand. The plumber was knowledgeable and not above or scared to go into a crawlspace to look at the pipes. He wore shoe covers going in and out the house. He wore his mask about 95% of the time (I wore mine the whole visit and kept my family in their rooms to be safe). I ended up paying $515.00 for a new part in my shower knob and he did blow compressed air through the pipe. But I am still without a shower. I got a quote for $1,400 to fix the issue by cutting the wall and changing the pipes to copper without replacement of my tile or wall. I am going to more than likely get a bathroom contractor that can do it all (the pipes and tile) if I must spend that type of money. I would recommend this company for plumbing emergencies or if you are looking for a plumbing company that offers free estimates before you decide on a plumbing job. read more

Previously I wanted to install a ejector pump with a check valve. They quoted $5000. This was after them visiting my property and assessing the situation. On the day of the job they said that they wont be to install the pumps and charged me $4700 just for the check valve. Of course only having the check valve didn't solve the issue. And I again flew all the was from San Francisco to meet these guys to come up with a better solution. They said that installing a lift station will solve the problem. And it has been 3 weeks and i am yet to receive a quote or a start date for the work. Wasted $4700 and flight tickets. Very unprofessional behavior. Now they are not responsive at all.
