Worst service ever!!! Told me I needed a new engine and wanted to charge me nearly $6000 for it. Had it towed to another place and the only thing they had to fix was a few spark plugs and a fuel pressure regulator which is only $150. Not the whole engine!!! Excellent customer service! A friend referred me here for my annual inspection. The technician quickly noticed that due to changes in the registration sticker and inspection law, that I did not need an inspection. That type of honesty and integrity is rare! I have gotten quotes from other places for thousands of dollars and when I bring it here for a second opinion, more often than not, they tell me the car needs no work. Visited to get my oil changed, tires rotated and balanced, alignment checked and inspection done. Everyone was nice and helpful. I have absolutely no complaints. Cost me $90 which seemed reasonable, so I'll keep going here for car services in the future. This is a follow up to my previous review from 7/8/21. So, I took my car back to Car Care Central on 7/9/21 since the Check Engine light was still on. The only part of the evap emission control system that had not been replaced was the evap purge valve which they now informed me needs to be replaced. The service was completed. They kept my car overnight so they could drive my car enough to test the system. I picked up my car on7/10/21. I was not charged an additional fee for the evap purge valve replacement. As of 7/25/21 the Check Engine light has not turned back on. Ever since Driver's Edge bought Car Care Central, we have not been as happy with their service. As of now, we will probably continue to utilize the Car Care Central on Alma, but time will tell if that changes. The reason for the three stars is for the lowered customer service experience. I am pleased that the Check Engine light issue was finally resolved; however, the customer service just isn't as good as it used to be. Hopefully that will change for the better. read more

So I want to start off by saying that I was debating whether or not to even write this, but in the end, I think sharing my experience is the right thing to do, even if it only helps even one other person. It all started a few months ago, when it was REALLY hot. My AC stopped working in my car so I took it over to this place near my apartment, Car Care Central. I just wanted an estimate, because I did not know what things like that cost, and I might have had to save to get it done. ANYWAYS, when I walked in, I was greeted by a guy named Kaleb, who offered to have my car looked at very quickly and get me a quote. I got my quote and I was on my way, or so I thought... Several hours after leaving there I got a text message from a number I did not know, asking if I had any questions about the quote. I figured it was something they normally do, and I responded that I did not, but "Thank you!" A few days went by and that is where things started turning a bit weird. I got another text, from the same number, following up again, and then the conversation turned VERY personal and I quickly figured out this was Kaleb's personal cell phone, not a work thing. He started by telling me that I was very pretty, and that he could probably get me a better deal, I politely refused but he just kept texting me, first every few days, then it became daily, then several times a day. I did not know what to do, I didn't want to be rude, but this was VERY creepy and uncomfortable. I called to speak to a manager, but every time, I got Kaleb. About a week later, he texted me a "picture" (ladies, you know what I am talking about) of himself, and asked me for one. At that point, I blocked him. A few days after, I got a text from a DIFFERENT number, and it was him AGAIN! I was so creeped out. It was like something off of a movie. I blocked that number, too, and then was so freaked that I changed MY NUMBER that I have had for over 10 years. I always see this kind of stuff on TV or in a movie, but I couldn't believe it was actually happening to me. Went there for the first time to get a oil change and they didn't tighten either the drain plug or the oil filter all the way so my car was leaking oil. I only write reviews to warn other people of terrible service. I have a shop I go to that I trust, but all I needed was some break pads and my Check engine light. So I went to this place down the road. My friend has gotten her oil changed there a couple times so I thought I would check it out. They were a bit short at first but civil. Charged about $600. Seemed somewhat reasonable. It wasn't until my light came on 2 days later that I started having problems. They wanted another $500 to fix some other random thing that may have caused my light to some on. These people will not only try to get over on you, but they are condescending beyond words. They were rude to my girlfriend who immediately sought service else where, rude to my blind mother who just wanted a better explanation, and finally rude to me. I may not be a mechanic, but I'm not an idiot. I am disgusted with the service and the man who runs the shop. His customer service skills are minimal at best and he absolutely, positively does not have your best interest in mind. Go anywhere else. (Also, as I was leaving there were 2-3 black cars lined up the side. I didn't have my glasses on and I pointed and said "is that mine over there?" His first simple "yes" would have been sufficient, but no, he had to add smugly, "it's the only one we have in the parking lot".) Rude. Hateful and rude. read more

These guys definitely break the stereotype of car repair centers being ripoff artists! They are awesome and as honest as the day is long. They always give you honest advice of what is needed and what is not and have advised me a few times not to get work done that previous shops told me I needed to have done. We have used CCC Plano for prior vehicle repair service and they have always been excellent from a quality and pricing standpoint (skilled mechanics and techs, but much less expensive than dealer service). I brought my 2012 Cadillac in this morning for potential shock replacement need (according to Firestone during oil change) and a broken tailpipe connection to the muffler. They quickly did an inspection and did not recommend replacing any shocks at this time, and referred me to a nearby muffler repair place for a quick and inexpensive weld to fix the tailpipe. Terrible service. I bought tires there w/ a 40k mile warranty (I had to go back the next day so they could properly align and inflate my tires) Now they are worn out and I have only put 20k on them. They try to tell me I didn't rotate them so I showed them my two invoices from discount tire. They said that there was still no way they could warranty them. I dropped my car off Saturday morning for some routine service (state inspection, oil change, wiper blade replacement, and taillight bulb replacement). I was promptly notified that my brake pads and rotors were also in dire need of replacement. I wasn't surprised by that since they were last replaced about ten years ago. I am fairly new to Plano and needed my car inspected. Getting caught at the end of the month, there was a wait no matter what or where I went. The guys here though were terrific about telling me when the best time would be to get in faster. I went, they remembered me, and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. So far so good after our first visit here. I had some front end noise that I suspected had something to do with the brakes. It progressively got worse over a week or so, and this was my first day off and opportunity to take our F150 in. Our dealership and regular mechanic were located a bit further than I wanted to go, considering the sound coming from my truck. I called ahead, and Travis was very pleasant on the phone. He said they'd be glad to check it out and that I could bring it by right away. They created an account for me as soon as I walked in the door, and in less than 15 minutes the truck was taken back to the bay. And within 30 minutes they had a diagnosis and estimate for me. Not only did it need new brakes, the rotors had significant wear and needed to be replaced, among a few other things. I was asked questions about how the truck is driven, how heavy the loads are that we towed and how often, and they installed the parts best suited for our usage. I was told the repair would take about 90 minutes, and was offered a ride. We just walked to get burgers and spent less than an hour in the waiting area as the work was done. The facility is clean, and there is coffee, water, and a soda machine for the customers. The seats aren't cushy, but the room is quiet and comfortable. In didn't seem long at all before the work was done. The repair cost a bit more than I was hoping to spend, but fair enough after hearing what needed to be done. The total included new pads, new rotors on the front, calipers, and the brake system hydraulic service, so I feel I paid a reasonable price. I'm stuck between 4 and 5 stars because I would have liked to seen an estimate on paper rather than verbal, but I could have always asked so that's on me, and they forgot that I mentioned that an oil change was needed. Everything involving the brake service was explained thoroughly though, and I was given opportunity to ask questions. I'll definitely go back for regular maintenance as consistency is the best way to judge. read more

We were in Plano visiting family for Thanksgiving when my battery light started to flicker. My car is 10 years old and we didn't want to get stuck in the rain on the four-hour drive back home, so we wanted to get everything checked out. We went in to Car Care Central first thing Saturday morning and told them what had happened. The guys looked at my car immediately, checking out the battery, the alternator, the alternator belt, and who knows what else. Thirty minutes later they told us everything looked fine. Apparently this vehicle has a history of the alternator belt slipping when it gets wet, and with all the rain in the Dallas area Thanksgiving weekend we'd driven through plenty of water. Truth be told, I was desperate to get my family home, and these guys could have sold me a new battery, a new alternator, and an alternator belt, and I'd have never been the wiser. As it was, they said no repair was necessary and they sent me on my way. No charge. We got home safely and with no further problem. It was a Thanksgiving miracle.
