I am not ashamed to admit that I love Carl's Jr. When I'm on the go and craving a restaurant style burger (with out the restaurant style price) Carl's Jr or In n Out are the way to go!! I have never really been disappointed with any of there items. I decided to be bad today and try the grilled cheese burger that just came out and that's been making me drool every time I watch there advertisement...I am just like a kid, I still want my grilled cheese. So while in Martinez today, I decided to swing by the Carl's Jr that I have been to quite a few times over the years. I ordered the grilled cheese burger with no bacon and no mayo and you know what? It was slamingly delicious!!! Burger was thick and flavorful, Swiss and American cheese was melted to a creamy oooey, gooey goodness - all sandwiched between two slices of perfectly grilled (though still soft) sourdough bread...Mmmm Heaven!!! And I don't feel guilty at all!! They even have decent onion rings. I really wish they still had the low carb breakfast bowl that they had a few years back...Oh well I'm satisfied with there burgers for now. read more

I occasionally end up at the Carl's Jr. if I'm hungry enough for a burger on the way home to Albany. The drive thru is a bit hard to get to and Freeway convenience can be challenging both ways. The burgers are good and contrary to the commercials, I order the smaller sandwiches. I also like the crosscut fries. However, this place consistently makes errors with relatively minor, but irritating order substitutions. And their takeout system doesn't always seem to be running on both cylinders. read more

Worse experience ever this is the second time i go thru the drive thru window, for a simple breakfast burrito w/pico de gallo and medium hash browns, it took the guy 5 minutes and me repeating myself more than 10 times (seriously) mind you i was the only person in the drive thru,i get to the window he hands me the bag and i check the burrito (due to last time i was given a steak burrito instead of bacon) and no pico really? I hand the burrito back he takes it and say oh you checked it (uh yeah) he apologized and fixed it but really, smh id rather go somewhere else from now on since this place cant get their shit together! read more

I always eat inside when I come here. Service is always stellar, the place is clean, and it is cheaper to eat at this location than other CJ locations. I've ordered the same thing here and other CJ in Oakland and in San Ramon, this one is the cheapest. This shop is located right off of the freeway, which is very convenient. read more

It had been a while since I was as Carl's Jr. in Martinez. It will be another while before I go back. The hamburger was like eating a hockey puck, more than overdone. There were a lot on condiments so I didn't go hungry but never ate the hamburger. I should have told them I would wait for them to cook a fresh one. Very disappointed. read more

I went into to get HOT fries and ask the person at the counter for Hot Fries I did want ones that had been sitting. He asked them in the back to put in some fries they humbled something in Spanish. When I got in my car I realized they were not hot. You lost a customer, I am new to the area so you are now on the official do not go list. read more

I did not go here! My boyfriend did, sinful. It is fast food and I had a couple bites of the western bacon cheeseburger, tasted way better than it looked. Also they had vitamin water zero, lemonade flavor- surprising from fast food, and awesome! read more

I used to eat here often but a couple years ago the burgers weren't that good. Wanted a guacamole with bacon big burger yesterday so gave it a try. I live 1 mile away & the bun was so soggy from the wet lettuce that I threw half of it away. The burger was cold! Not cooled off. Cold. Someone described them as hockey pucks and he was right. 3 bites into this mayonnaise saturated, cold, wet burger I tossed it in the trash. $10.80 wasted as even the fries were just lukewarm & I ate those on the way home. What happened to this place? The only fast food in this town worth eating is the La Primavera taco truck. read more

I used to come here every day...but my favorite shift manager disappeared a couple months ago. I believe her name is Alina. She was the coolest/sweetest worker there. She actually cared and did her best to keep customers happy. She was so respectful and down to earth. I'm not the only customer to know this. Now Carls is stuck with rude/quiet people who dont smile and who take forever to get your food out. She deserved so much better anyways. Just thought I'd let that be known. read more

I ordered a $5 box chicken tenders in the box I received 1 small and 2 stuck together small one and some fries not in the pk for fries I taking a pic. I got to work and call to speak to the manager no one answered, horrible customer service the guy just kept turning his head to not have eye contact with me because they was taking so long with my order, a girl tried to give me some one else order. Great food and fast. The drive through window can be a pain due to the sharp curve.

The first thing I would say is the breakfast burrito lacked hideously. I never go here but McD's is closed for remodeling and I was desperate. The second thing I would say is that the cashier swiped my card, dropped her hand and moved it horizontally under the register and two days later my card was compromised - I have NO proof - I'm just sayin' it caught my eye, and at just before 7 a.m. that's saying something, and my first thought was, "Did she just skim my card???" i wonder if she quit and has been helping her friends shop online since then. The staff here is fantastic! They always acknowledge me when I walk in, no matter how busy they are. They are friendly, efficient & I've never had any issues with my orders or the quality of the food. I did have another customer claim my food when it was delivered to their table. I told the person at the counter, they immediately remade my order & upgraded my meal. The place is clean & neat, no one is ever just standing around. They need to work on their customer service skills. As I drive up to the drive thru lane, there is an employee sweeping. He moves out of the way. I get to the order window and am asked to wait. Please note that there is no one ahead of me in line. I wait about 3 minutes and notice the employee that was sweeping put the broom and dust pan away in what looked like the area where the trash bin is kept and walked into the restaurant. As soon as the door shut, I was asked for my order. I drove up to the window and guess who was there? Yep, the guy that was sweeping. And yes, he got the order wrong trying to charge me for something I didn't order. By the way, there was no way he had time to wash his hands from the time he walked into the restaurant to my driving up to the window to pay. Also, when I was handed my bag of food, he made no effort to extend his arm out to make it easier for me to grab. This is the second time I've had cold fries and overlooked tasteless onion rings. The first time I thought it was a fluke but this is how these inept employees "cook". The only thing I liked about Carl's was Green Burrito. And the only thing I liked about the Carl's with a Green Burrito was the salsa bar. And now it seems all Green Burritos, including this one, have removed their salsa bars. And no, providing me with a few tiny salsa cups when I ask is not enough, I'm out.
