Ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and paid an extra 1.50 for cheese and tomato. The chicken patty was cold so the cheese didn't melt. My 75 cent slice of tomato was the top of the tomato with the core cut out so only present in 35% of the sandwich. Fried zuchini still had uncooked cold batter inside. The fries were fresh and so was his sandwich. The staff is always meh. Never been straight out rude to us but they don't like their jobs. read more

This was the worst fast food experience I've ever had. Came here specifically for a somewhat "healthier" fast food option: charbroiled grilled chicken. They were out. Couldn't get the sandwich or salad. Ended up getting hand breaded chicken sandwiches and they were TINY. Got 2 kids meals, didn't have apple juice, so he suggested orange juice. I said fine. We were charged $2 for this unknowingly. The fries were so mushy and cold. Everything seemed like it was sitting there since breakfast. Beyond disappointed. $25 down the drain. read more

As I'm waiting at the window, I'm thinking " I'm going to give this place five stars" because the young man who took my order was very polite... but NO WAY... I get home and open my bag... Twenty dollars worth of stale food and undercooked burgers. I couldn't believe it. All this food and I couldn't stomach ANY of it. Let me preface this by expressing this review is specific to the Country Club location in Mesa AZ. I had ordered a 3 Piece Tenders., along with two other meals, in drive through. At the menu screen, I had ordered both meals with crisscut fries. A the window, when the food came, they had only given us one order of crisscut fries. They insisted I give the reg fries back, so they could throw them away, which we did despite thinking it was super wasteful. But we complied regardless. Then we got home, and I noticed the tenders order was VERY TINY. Nowhere close to any tenders order I've experienced in my 40 years of fast food ordering. All three were between 2" to 2-1/2" in length. I went back to get a refund, as I felt this was severely insufficient for their price. I have ordered many tenders over the years. None have been this small. So, I went back to try and get some resolution. I told the two ladies at the front of the issue. One was the drive through cashier, Angelina, the other was the front counter, which I didn't get her name. They said they couldn't do anything, that I had already left (it was a drive through order) and there was nothing they could do. I told them I hadn't checked on the tenders until I was home, since I assumed there wasn't going to be a problem. One manager, the older woman, tried to solve the problem by saying she would make another order. I said that would be fine. The other, Angelina, grabbed the tenders and went to throw them away, I stopped her, and took the tenders back. I was appalled that she was just going to throw the good food away, especially after she had already thrown the french fries away. I told them all I wanted was for them to rectify the insufficient quantity of food. Not throw this order away, just to make more, to fix a quantity issue. The logic didn't make sense. Especially given that people are going hungry and starving to death all over the world. I just wanted them to adjust the food, to the amount at least to what is shown on the menu screen that I ordered from. The younger cashier at that time left the situation, and began calling corporate ( I assume). The older woman manager had already begun rectifying the situation to my satisfaction. The younger woman came back, and insisted that I give her the previous order so she could throw them away, or else I wouldn't get any more tenders. I refused as I didn't want the food wasted. She gave me an ultimatum, that I could give her the tenders to throw away, or I could leave. This was very upsetting, and I expressed how I didn't feel like the situation was being handled appropriately. I pointed out that the other woman had already begun what I felt was appropriate customer service, in this situation. Why did they now have to throw these perfectly good, albeit, tiny, chicken tenders away? Angelina obviously didn't like the situation, and she said that if I didn't comply, that she would call the cops to have me removed. I thought this was ridiculous, given that the other manager had already begun resolving the issue. I said as much, that I thought that was ridiculous, and that the problem could be easily resolve by just giving me a bit more food. But she wasn't having it. She asked me to leave again, and said she was about to call the cops, and I said fine, call them. Which she did (I assume, she turned and started messing with her phone). Angry, at this point at her refusal to cordially resolve my problem, I decided to just leave and contact corporate with feedback, and write online reviews of this experience. As I was leaving, I noticed them taking down my license plate number, I assume to give to the police. I cannot believe the younger Angelina would choose to call the cops on a customer and force them to leave, as opposed to deal with a $5 complaint over tiny chicken tenders. I wasn't even yelling, nor was I physically threatening in any way. I at times did have an elevated tone, because of how it was being handled, but I definitely wasn't yelling, and there was not disturbance of other patrons, as I was the only customer in the lobby. This isn't about $5, its about how the situation was dealt with, and the threat of authorities being brought in, as if I was some criminal. The way that this was dealt with was inappropriate given the circumstances. I'd like to continue being a customer at this store, but I will not if this is how their customer service is going to be. I feel this is a training issue. The "manager" was super young. Not sure how anyone of that age could even have the requisite life experience or managing experience to be a manager. The tenders are very inconsistent in size. In this case, roughly, I'd say two would make up what one tender should be. But again, this isn't so much about the tenders or the monetary value, as much as how I was treated, and how this was, not, dealt with. read more

Let me preface this review by noting that I absolutely adore Carl's Jr! They make the best chain burger in the country and the lack of Carl's Jr in my current city of Cleveland,OH is enough to send a man into a deep depression. However, since this review is for this specific location, I have to overlook my fondness for CJ to say that this is perhaps one of the most poorly run fast food restaurants I have ever been to. I used to work near this location so this is coming from regular visits to this specific store. The staff are unfriendly (bordering on rude) and the service is slower than molasses in January. More often than not they get the order wrong as well. So, as much as I love CJ, a short trip to a different location is well worth the drive. read more

I love Carls Jr, but the hamburger was put together sloppy. When did they start using square buns?? And to top it off it was stale. Brought it back and got a round bun, but that didn't help the experience. Just couldn't eat any more and dumped my meal in the trash. The soda fountain was running out of several sodas. They looked like were short handed, but there was an elderly employee taking her break in the eating area. This place was much better than before, but it has gone the tubes. I've been away from AZ for the last year, and there is no Carls Junior in Florida where I now reside. Been wanting a Western Bacon Cheeseburger for a few months now.. I'm the only person in line, place my order with a little extra BBQ Sauce... I guess it doesn't matter if they are busy or slow, because my burger was less than desirable. I went to this Carl's Jr. on country club Drive and McKellips and this young woman by the name of Maria that wears glasses put $20 worth of food in one small bag and dumped both of our boxes of fries upside down and when we asked her if she could please give us an extra bag because she dumped all of our food in there and everything is smashed she proceeded to laugh at us and I told her that I was recording all of this on video and she started busting up laughing at us telling us we were going to go to jail for recording her and so I proceeded to tell her that in the state of Arizona it is illegal to record somebody especially if you tell them they are being recorded and she asked us what are we trying to get out of her and called us thieves I have pictures of all of the smashed food that was put into our bag without wraps or boxes and I also have a video of her disgusting degrading behavior. We get lunch here probly 2 times a week and we order for multiple people from the office, and they tend to get it right most of the time but not all the time, but the only reason i feel they deserve the star rating i am giving them is because on there menu there is a veggie burger you can order so one of my coworkers ordered it and all she got was lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a bun and to make it worst they charged her 6 dollars for it come on guys are you seriouse. read more

My husband just went through the drive through for the second time in a few weeks and my burger was wrong for the second time. He specifically said "plain, cheese only" and both times they've added onion, mustard, pickles, etc. No point in going here unless you want your food made incorrectly every time read more

Ordered the 1/2lb bacon western burger supposed to be piled high with applewood bacon all I got were 2 paper thin pieces of "bacon" 2 tiny onion rings and a burger that was larger than the spongy bun that is supposed to be baked fresh. Very disappointed for what I spent for this burger. read more

I was really feeling the western bacon cheesburger vibe in the morning so I went over here in the morning for that for breakfast. I went through the drive-thru. Only problem I had was that it seemed to take long, maybe 10 minutes, for my order. I think the person was the manager, or morning manager if they have different people, and he was all alone (btw he looks like the air marshall from Bridesmaids). I'm not sure if it was slow because he was the only one there, or maybe I had ordered something that was typically for lunch or dinner and not for breakfast, both those issues, or something else...or maybe they just take a long time. The location is pretty bad. I'm speaking purely from a traffic point of view. Good luck getting out of there...or in there for that matter. Not that it's hard but traffic in the morning around 6:30 right there is pretty bad...and I imagine it doesn't lighten up with the 202 being right there. The asphalt is in poor shape too. read more

First store place order...order was discovered to be wrong NOT only the wrong burger, but absolutely plain several mins later after I left was on HWY....another Carls Jr. store on the way home I stop tell them the problem. NOW SAME OWNERS OF THESE LOCATIONS...I ASKED FIRST QUESTION... the store asst. managers both tell me NO they cant replace the burger from both stores...I have witnesses (a friend and 6 customers, 1 of whom left once she heard what was going on).....It gets better they both say they cant give away free food....and they dont want to get in trouble for it....MEANWHILE IM HEATED AND LAUGHING FROM THE STUPIDITY......Its was listen I paid for this shit $8.17 to be exact...your not giving me anything for free...Im looking for what I paid for...Meanwhile Now the Managers of each store is involved on phone and THEY REFUSED.......WTF REALLY IS WRONG WITH YOUNG PEOPLE THESE DAYS...IS OUR YOUNGER GENERATION OF KIDS REALLY THIS DUMB!!
