Came here to get som face time with my son before his appointment with his barber up the road and it did not disappoint. Arriving at 12, there was no wait and plenty of seating. We were sat immediately and served our drinks. I was happy to see Gold Peak sweet tea on the menu and it had free refills (I was thirsty!). They also have a flavor of the day for this tea but I didn't inquire what it was. We were then brought warm sliced bread and an herb blend on a plate, in which you take the bottle of oil on your plate to mix it and use as a dip for your bread. For my son's meal, he ordered the mezzaluna and could pick either soup or salad as a side (or there are other sides for an upcharge). He went with the Caesar salad. He loved his food and said the Caesar dressing was excellent. They also offer anchovies on the side if you like but he declined. I ordered off the lunch special menu, available Monday through Friday 11-3pm. I got the small plate lunch trio which is $11.99 ... there's a few options but I went with the fettuccine Alfredo. I don't order this anymore anywhere because it's too much on my stomach but this was perfect as it's a small portion. It also comes with soup AND salad to make it a trio. I got the house salad with creamy Parmesan dressing and the Sicilian chicken soup. Everything was excellent. And me and my son left stuffed! Bonus: cheese lovers ... they offer you freshly grated cheese they put on tableside and you tell them when to stop. Our waiter was fantastic and had a marvelous accent! We were running a few minutes behind on my sons appointment so I stood up so he would know to come to us and he actually had a full try of drinks and bread for another table and still came to me first because he noticed me standing. I was not expecting that but wow what an awesome waiter! This man knows how to do a job well done! Luckily we were paying in cash and I didn't need charge so all he had to do was drop our check and go on to his other table and we put our money in the book and went on our way. Appetizers and side salads came out relatively quick, but the main plates took a few minutes short of an hour after we received the appetizer. Mojito 10/10 was outstanding, she did a great job making this. Jumbo Lump Crab cakes 9/10 Two good sized cakes, with a good crab flavor. Soft and pan fried for just a few minutes. Sauce was good too. Shrimp & chicken carbonara (fall special) 9/10 Shrimp was cooked great and a good flavor too. Chicken was cooked perfectly, little bit of grill flavor, and super juicy. Both the chicken and shrimp reheated the next day super well too. Pasta was cooked perfect as well. The sauce was just a little black peppery flavored to me, but plenty of sauce to cover everything. Tuscan grilled Ribeye 8/10 Ordered ribeye, medium rare, but a filet came out. The bartender put it in wrong. No big deal, but disappointing considering how long it took for the entrees to come out. Well we used to go to this Carrabba's a lot. It has changed and not for the good. We called ahead and were seated within 8 minutes which was quick. Unfortunately we were sat by the takeout area and the freezing draft hit us every-time the door opened (see pic). Our server Derek L was very friendly and knowledgeable. He informed us that there was no soda/pop available, a first time ever in my dining experiences. You can see what we ordered on the receipt. So here is a major issue -we ordered our food when we received our drinks. We received our soup and salads and app within about 15-20 minutes which was great. Then came the long pause at about 1 hour from our apps and salads arriving -the manager came over to tell us that they were behind. She proactively offered us a reduction on our bill and said that the food should be out in about 20 minutes/ ticket times were at 40-45 minutes. Meanwhile people that had ordered after us were receiving their food and finishing up. After a total of hour and half after being seated we received our food. Everyone enjoyed their food except my Lobster raviolis were cold and hard. Derek informed us we had a 10 dollar reward and asked if we wanted to use it -but then were then informed we unable to use it because of the previous reduction I had to use the bathroom and a strong smell of sewer gas overpowered the bathroom, there were several scent pods but it didn't counteract the smell. It's chain, so 3 stars max. We sat at the bar, just to have a beer and a quick bite. All menus were out on the bar, but we had to request the Happy Hour menu. We ordered the meatball sliders. They were very good and very hot. 3 sliders on focaccia, next to 3 pieces of focaccia with tomato sauce and melted cheese. Service was mediocre, we didn't get much attention at all from bar staff. They didn't offer us a bread basket, while others at the bar were offered one. When I finished my beer and sliders, nobody came over to see if we wanted to order more or the check. There was a portion of the experience were I felt ignored which sucked because I wanted my salad dressing on the side, but because he didn't come back over the bus boy was asked to tell the kitchen. Ambiance was cool. It isn't a special place to be and nothing stood out but I still enjoyed being there. It was busy upon arrival as it was the tail end of the dinner hour and by 8 it was pretty much empty. I ordered a pick up through Door Dash. I waited for over ten minutes while I watched 3 employees watch me... they were eating, talking and playing. Two other employees looked at me as well but did not attempt to assist me. I finally walked over and asked if there was anyone working in the- before I could finish- the very tall man said, "she'll be right over". She was not and when she did come she said "I didn't know you were here". The manager was as helpful as she could be but they were out of what I ordered so I was stuck between passing out or eating a six pack of yogurt. Shame on them. I would really like to give a 3 1/2 star review as the food was good. The service, not so much. We sat at the bar; we have been at the bar in the past and had a bread basket put down for us as soon as the drink order was taken. Not this time. The bar was not full. There was a lot of turnover. Other Patrons who also sat at the bar were given baskets of bread with their drink orders. The bartender/waitress did not know whether we would be ordering off of the happy hour menu or the regular menu. The bartender who took our order did ask us a couple of times if our food was good, but seemed to forget to ask if we wanted anything else and either went on her break or ended her shift without asking us if we were ready for our check. It took quite a bit of time before the other bartender asked us if we wanted anything else. We had the meatball sliders off of the happy hour menu. There are 3 open-face sliders on the plate, with the meatball on one side, with a bit of sauce. The other side has some sauce and a square of melted mozzarella on it. These are very tasty. Additionally, the registers are programed to compute the tip on the total bill, including the tax. While it is helpful to the patrons to have the tip calculated, it should be listed on the bill, pre-tax. Pluses and minuses tonight. read more

I wanted to go someplace different for my "Belated" Birthday Dinner and I was in the mood for Italian. I needed Pasta . So, I looked on YELP & decided on "Carrabba's". I am so glad I did !!! My son & I got there around 6pm and had about a 10-15 minute wait. There was a bar to the right & most of the dining was to the left. It was clean & had a comfortable feel inside. We were seated & I had already planned what I wanted to eat the night before, so I wouldn't take forever deciding once I got there. But first, we were served delicious, soft, warm Italian bread . It was so good. We ended up getting it 3x I believe. Our waitress's name was Ashlie S. She was great !!! Very nice, friendly, helpful, funny & very easy to talk to. I order the LINGUINE POSITANO WITH CHICKEN, I got the MAMA MANDOLA'S SICILIAN CHICKEN SOUP & the CANNOLI CAKE FOR 2 for dessert. Everything was phenomenal !! The pasta was so light but with a burst of amazing flavors ! The soup was so good & with huge pieces of chicken in it. Yummmmmmy !! The Cannoli Cake was very good & because my birthday was yesterday, Ashlie gave me a few scoops of vanilla ice cream with syrup & a little birthday candle in it. She was so sweet. Every item we ordered was FROZEN- appetizer meatballs frozen, lobster ravioli frozen, chicken Bryan was not frozen but had a giant blob of goat cheese on it so it was covered - the side of spinach was drowning in oil and served cold- the waitress did her best and the kitchen failed her and three other tables around us ! We have visited this Carrabba's Italian Grill many times over the years. We were disappointed with the food. It is not the same restaurant and the food was not that good. We ordered crab cakes for appetizers and received unformed warmed crab filling over a bed of sauce. Two wait staff tried to convince us that is the way it is served and told us to ask for extra crispy next time. Really! The chicken parmigiana and eggplant parmigiana was served "extra crispy". Our waiter was very nice. No manager visited the tables to ask about service. We will not return for you only get one chance to make a bad impression. I started with the shrimp scampi appetizer, which was more than enough for two people. The taste was excellent. My entrée was the eggplant Parmesan and you get a with that I chose broccoli. It was smaller sized eggplant than I had had other places when I've had egg by Parmesan, but the taste was there. Broccoli was a little cold. I've been to many Carrabba's Italian Grill locations over the years, but this was the first time I ever felt uncomfortable and genuinely discriminated against. I joined the waitlist and made a reservation for a party of five. When we arrived, the host originally sat us in a heavy traffic area. I asked to be moved to a quieter table, and thankfully he did. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of the night. Our server, Erica, had an energy that was immediately off. Her hospitality was poor from the moment she approached the table. If I wasn't with my family, I would have walked out before ordering. It truly felt like she didn't want to serve us, yet when interacting with nearby customers, her tone completely changed--full of smiles and warmth. When she brought the bread and oil, she asked me to take the plate and place it on the side of the table. I'm not sure since when guests are expected to do the server's job. We ordered two of the classic combination appetizers. When they arrived, we realized we had no utensils. Erica was nowhere to be found, and we were stuck eating the appetizers with our hands because we didn't want the food to get cold. That alone was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had at Carrabba's. I hope management takes this seriously, because no guest should ever feel ignored, disrespected, or treated differently based on who they are. I will not be returning to this location. read more

We went for Happy Hour to try it out and sadly we will not be back. We ordered 2 drinks and then ordered the meatball sliders and shrimp fochaccia bread . My husband said the meatballs were ok . They were small meatballs cut in half. But the bread was so much bigger than the 1/2 meatball so it was odd. I had the shrimp focaccia and the shrimp were good but the sauce they had on it wasn't. We stopped in for a cocktail. There was happy hour that looked good. Happy hour appetizers with limited choices. We ended up drinking the cheap beer because the cocktails tastes very low on alcohol. Ordered several appetizers and disappointed with all three, they didn't resemble the image or description on the happy hour menu. Maybe an off-day or chef in training, so we'll probably give them another opportunity to prove they're worth it. I stopped into the Carrabba's at Amhurst to get an appetizer a glass of wine order a takeout dinner and while I was there, the service was fine when I got my takeout order. I didn't check it. Paid the bill and left when I got home they had not included the cheesecake with my order I ordered Chicken Parmesan with soup and a cheesecake to go. The cheesecake was not in my order so I called the Carrabba's at Amherst and I've been on the phone on hold with them for over 30 minutes. Have talked back to the girl at the front desk twice. Still, nobody has gotten back to me. Carrabbas used to be my favorite spot for shrimp pasta. I loved the pasta weesie, but after ordering curbside recently I was so disappointed. I pulled up and waited forever when my food was supposed to be ready. Someone left me on hold for 5 minutes and then hung up on me. Then a few minutes later, someone came out to the car to see if i had an order then brough it out. The pasta sauce was watery, and honestly I couldn't even eat it, it was so bad. We all started with wine during happy hour while enjoying our warm bread and then the classic combination appetizer. It included hand breaded calamari, mozzarella sticks, and cheese & sausage stuffed mushrooms. The calamari coating was very light and it was cooked nicely. I speak very highly of this restaurant but tonight was a bad experience for me. Right off the bat the server was clearly favoring my boyfriend which was just rude. Our appetizers and bread were great. However, when I got my meal I was severely disappointed with my steak. It was way underdone and the consistency was awful. I understand that mistakes happen because I am a cook as well but we were already late for a function and was over the service. I did say something about my food and wanted it taken off my check. The boss and the girl who was bringing food out were very kind, but the server quite literally turned her back to me and only spoke to my boyfriend after my meal was taken off the check. There was a table sat well after we were there who got their food first but coincidentally knew the server (our server). I know this because she hugged the customers. When they brought my food out they suddenly didn't have mashed potatoes, but gave the people who were sat AFTER us mashed potatoes. I firmly believe this woman favored this table over ours because she personally knew them. I work at a restaurant myself and know how things work, and I am very understanding but this service was unacceptable. My boyfriend clearly saw she was disrespecting me and debated even tipping her.
