Our first visit and we enjoyed it. We did call ahead seating but, it was not necessary. The service was was good as was the food. Plenty of parking on a Thursday night at 630. We started bread and olive oil spcied dipping sauce and the Arancini Appetizer with a dipping sauce, this was a very filling appetizer and very tasty. Next, I had the chicken parmesan, and she had the shrimp and scallop linguini. Both entrees were tasty and arrived at the table hot. We were too full for dessert, maybe next time. We will return.

Dined for dinner a few days after Christmas. The restaurant was moderately busy with a calm holiday atmosphere and pleasant volume. We were astonished that TWO large tables were seated after us and that didn't affect room volume. Our server was excellent and attentive. We started with the Tuscan Breadstick tower (breadsticks and fried cheese) -- this was a fun app and paired great with their delicious bread service too. My Caesar Salad was crispy and dressed well. My daughter's Chicken Soup was yummy also! Sweet tea was fresh and deliciously brewed. We shared entrees and everything was delicious-- plenty of home leftovers. I enjoyed this relaxing meal and would definitely return!

After two unsuccessful attempts to eat a Olive Garden we kept looking and found this little gym. The danger of getting stuck in a comfort zone sometimes you can miss things they're actually better than what you were looking for. The problem we ran into at Olive Garden there was no hostess to us. When she finally did show up she said it'd be a 20 minute wait unless we wanted to sit in the bar area. Very confusing to a customer. Even if the reason is you're short staffed why not rebalance the tables so they're spread across all the weight staff? The second time we tried Olive Garden we left. And that forced us over here. There are silver linings. We came in after lunch approximately 2 o'clock in the afternoon needless to say they were slow. Even so, they were well staffed, the menu looked awesome. The food was even better than the menu. along with the service outstanding! We will be back

This was a good experience. Service good food good! The only problem I had was the hostess tried to seat us at a tiny booth and we ain't tiny...other than that it was lovely. The food was perfect

Microwave deluxe! DISAPPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST. We paid for the food we couldn't eat and left.

Always great! True to the chain. Their port sauce is superb, but the wine list could use some less expensive choices.

Bella Italia was not what I expected…read more And that turned out to be a very good thing. From the outside and inside, this is a bit of a hole in the wall. The kind of restaurant that is clearly filled with regulars who know exactly what they're ordering and probably don't need to look at the menu anymore. That can sometimes make a newcomer feel like they've accidentally wandered into somebody else's family dinner. Not here. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and we were made to feel right at home. I ordered the lasagna expecting the usual Italian classic. Layers of pasta, ricotta, mozzarella, and all the familiar ingredients I've come to expect. Instead, I was presented with a lasagna featuring a beautiful, creamy béchamel sauce. Béchamel. In my lasagna. That's the kind of sauce I expect to encounter in French cooking, not while I'm sitting in a little Italian restaurant in Mobile. But I'm very happy to report that Italy and France have apparently decided to put their differences aside. It was wonderful. Creamy, rich, and absolutely delicious. Not what I expected, but exactly the kind of surprise that makes discovering new restaurants so much fun. Bella Italia is a nice find. A little bit of a hole in the wall, filled with regulars, friendly people, and food that may surprise you in the best possible way.

Friendly hostess & waitstaff…read more I chatted briefly with the hostess as I waited on my other party to arrive and the she did say they are very busy on Fridays (and weekends). She suggested reservations even for a party of 2. As we noshed I noticed even though we were here on a Tues about 1/2 the tables are occupied. They were also set up for 2 large parties ( one of about 12 and the other over 20) that take up all the available empty tables. As we were leaving they had to turn a family away because they had a waiting list! On a random Tuesday! Note there is no bar that you can slide into as a singleton when they're busy but they are open 6 days a week and do to-go orders. Nice four page menu with plenty of choices. All of their entrees come with side salad and 2 slices of garlic bread. Additional bread is available 6 slices for $3.99 I noticed half of their pasta entrees are vegetarian. I'm used to seeing a restaurant only have a couple vegetarian selections so their menu was impressive. Besides the salads there are at least two entrees that appear to be keto friendly -the Vegetable spaghetti & Salmon & Veggies both which have a serving of vegetables instead of pasta. Normally I eat low carb/keto but fell off that wagon a couple of weeks ago and this placed looked too good to try and 'behave'. We split the Fried mozzarella appetizer with sauce. I had the cheese manicotti with meat sauce which was awesome. My son had Tortellini with meat sauce which he enjoyed. The serving was a little small for his taste but not abnormally so. We both had Tiramisu for dessert and it was out of this world good. I'm already planning my next visit. Nice ambiance but the bldg is small.

It is as close to lunch time, so I went with the lunch special, where I chose 2 fresh slices of pepperoni and sausage pizza, and a drink for 9 bucks! It's a pretty good deal! They got my order ready to go pretty quickly, and I took it to my car, since the place is small and they have no dine in seating. While I was waiting, a lady came in and picked up an enormous pizza, bigger than you'll find at any chain restaurant. It was so large, she had to put the seats down in the back of her SUV to fit it in the hatch. But enough about that. Let's get to the main event! That pizza was pretty amazing! The crust was golden and crispy on the outside, yet soft and pillowy on the inside. The sauce, which I believe is made in house, was sufficiently tangy and tasted very fresh. The pepperoni was cooked crisp and wasn't overly greasy and the sausage had a great, robust flavor that was the star of the show. This is everything I love about a great pizza, and it's local, so that's just one more praise to sing about it! I paired it with a bottle of Coke, which absolutely was perfect with this pizza. So if you're out in West Mobile, this little place is worth a stop. Grab a slice, or a pie for the entire family. It does not disappoint. They also have pasta on their menu, which gives me a reason to go back and try something else!

It's the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood. We started with the calamari, which was perfectly cooked--light, crisp, and flavorful. A great way to kick things off. Meals come with salad and breadsticks, and both were fresh and delicious (those breadsticks definitely didn't last long at our table). Service was another standout. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and kept everything flowing smoothly without ever feeling rushed. Timing on the food was spot on. For entrées, the chicken marsala was rich, savory, and full of flavor it was easily a highlight. My husband's steak and shrimp was also very well prepared and equally enjoyable. Overall, Gambino's delivers a great combination of atmosphere, service, and satisfying Italian comfort food. Definitely a spot I'd recommend and look forward to visiting again.
