Please, these guys harassed me and I wound up paying 740 dollars out of my pocket because they damaged my vehicle on a radiator fan recall! The check engine light was on when my vehicle was returned and the check engine light reflected "Fan 3 control circuit high" & "Cooling fan #3 control circuit malfunction." The check engine light was never on also prior to dropping my van off for the radiator fan recall. I had the repair done in Carson, while I was living in South Lake Tahoe. When I picked up the van, I was unable to send it back that same day because it was 4:45 PM and they were closing. I then had to evacuate Lake Tahoe due to the wildfires, and since then moved far away from Carson & Tahoe. The reason for these details is because I have since taken my van to another dealership to fix the check engine light because of course driving to Carson 7 hours multiple times would not make sense. This dealership has asked me to reach out to the Carson location to cover the cost of the issue which stemmed from the recall they performed and they refuse to do so. It amazes me how a business will absolutely shaft their customers and take 0 responsibility for a mistake they made when it comes to $. You wish you could count on integrity and honest business practice but never expect that with these guys. I wish I could say this was my first horrible encounter with Brandy and the service department at Carson Jeep Ram whatever, but it wasn't. A few months before that they charged me close to 1000$ to change the oil and perform a 60,000 mile routine check up. There were multiple 169 dollar "inspection" fees for me asking if my brake pads looked alright among other things. These guys make me sick to my stomach and treat their customers like complete garbage. I beg you to go anywhere else, even if it's an hour away. I will pay for your gas to drive to locations further away if it means it takes business away from these criminals. I will venmo you. Zelle, whatever. Is unable to return phone calls, or emails. Multiple employees will tell you they will get back to you in an hour/the next day/etc and will never get back to you. Lies about dates that parts will arrive or that they have even been ordered in the first place. Lies about sending me a reimbursement for a smog test that they should have done in the first place (it is required by law for them to reimburse which I am in the process of reporting to the NV Emission Lab). All this so they can save $50 dollars reimbursing me for a smog and ordering me a $18 blinker 68374916AA. Insane. read more

I was a fan of the service department at Carson Dodge however in my experience, the service has gone downhill this year. I have had my truck in 4 times since June for the same issue; "P2281 Air leak between MAF and Throttle Body" which occurs when towing about 10k pounds, usually on a grade. Round 1 they replaced the MAF sensor. Round 2 they said the incorrect air filter was installed on Round 1 causing the cover to not seal correctly. Round 3 they said they found some loose intake bolts. Round 4 I was told they had smoke tested it on Rounds 2 & 3 which if they did, why didn't they catch the loose bolts discovered on Round 3 during Round 2 repairs? Round 4 lasted 7 days with no communication despite leaving messages and texts until day 7 when I called 4 times demanding an answer. Finally got thru and was told they replaced the MAF sensor again, put 70 miles on it and cannot re-create the issue. I don't know if it is truly fixed yet however if it is not, I definitely will NOT be taking it back to Carson Dodge. Enough is enough! read more

He was evasive when asked direct questions and outright lied about his own access to information such as interest rates. We recently had a failed recall breakdown on our RAM Eco diesel and had our truck towed here. It really couldn't have happened at a worse time. We had to cancel our camping trip since we needed the truck to tow our travel trailer. The truck was there for at least two weeks and we were expecting out of town family during this time also. Throughout the whole process Service Manager Arne communicated the statuses of parts arriving; when the repair was in process; when the repair was estimated to be done and finally, when everything was complete. Arne understood that we were inconvenienced and made sure he kept us informed of everything happening throughout the repair. We stopped in for service on a CA road trip. We suspected we needed the coolant topped off because the engine was running hotter than normal. The service rep listened to our experience the day before, took a look under the hood of the Jeep, and concluded that it was just the exceptional heat and the fact that we'd climbed 4,500 feet in elevation on a very hot afternoon with a good bit of A/C use. (Lone Pine to Bodie on the 395.) There's always something unexpectedly nice about thinking you need to buy something and being told by a salesperson that you don't. Literally the worst car buying experience I have ever had. Car buying doesn't always have to be bad!! Came in looking for a specific model- the sales lady was rushed to get us into the car. When we can back for a test drive she kept trying to pull a credit report when we weren't using their financing. She kept using cheesy aggressive high pressure sales tactics and spilled a bunch of bs about other dealerships. Tried to say we weren't going to be able to get this car anywhere else. She wouldn't even negotiate the price so we walked out. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We were looking for a pre-owned truck with low mileage. Our sales lady tried to claim that the truck she showed us was in "Excellent" condition but it was covered in scratches. She said that a new paint job is only like $2000 but wouldn't even negotiate the price for the new paint job. The truck we test drive had empty beer cans in the bed... they couldn't even be bothered to pick those up before we test drove. Ok, I was really disappointed when I first stopped here, but I did come back a week later to see if they were actually interested in selling me a vehicle without trying to fleece me. They already had my credit pulled and immediately presented a better deal including much better financing terms, pretty much what I wanted the first time I stopped by. I ended up leaving with a vehicle. I didn't get a great deal like I had wanted, but I did get one that I felt was reasonably fair. I also inquired with the parts manager about pricing and received quotes that were pretty decent even compared to online discount dealers for stock Mopar parts. So my 2nd visit here (not counting the times I had stopped just to window shop) was much better. (for Friday 11/4) I had a flat again in the same tire I've patched twice, so I knew I was due for a new set of tires ASAP since you can't keep patching the same tire over and over. So I ordered them on Discount tire because I knew they did financing, couldn't get an appointment for two weeks but the website offers walks in for a longer wait. So okay, I'll just spend the day in Carson, no biggie. I get there as soon as they opened, a woman in line behind me asked if she waited in line she'd get her tires installed as she didn't have an appointment, they tell her yes. They'll stop taking walk ins at 10 or 11. So I'm like, sweet. It's 8, I'm good. I wait for an hour, and was told they can't install my tires. I said screw it, give me my tires, has to be someone that can install them. I went to Ford, called some of the other dealers around, and Dodge was the only one that said yes for $150. I get there, everyone's really nice and they take me in. The alternative was driving ANOTHER 70 miles back home on a spare so they saved my butt. They also provide a free shuttle so I went and got breakfast at Pegs and walked to the nearby strip mall for some shopping. They installed my tires in less time than originally estimated, picked me up from Pegs and sent me away safely home on my new tires. Honestly I'm not a fan of Dodge too much as a vehicle brand, but this specific dealership has top notch customer service that can rival the Volvo dealer in Vegas. Maybe if my engine ever fails I'll put a charger engine in it ;) . Or if Dodge ever brings back the Magnum I'll be first in line. Till then, I'll remember where to go for tires next time. Buyer beware. I have lived here for over 30 years and this is the worst dealership in town! I took my vehicle there for a repair and I was told it would be ready within 2 weeks Then I get a phone call saying the part was on back order. A few days later the dealership called and said my part was en route and gave me the tracking number. They said my vehicle would be ready today. I left a message asking when it would be a good time for me to pick it up, and my call was not returned. I waited for four hours and drove to the dealership to see if it was ready. Restored my faith in buying a used vehicle from a dealership. First Justin listened to what I wanted and what I said my budget was. He showed me two jeeps the first time I was at the dealership. I told him I needed my significant others opinion, he didn't press the close. When I showed back up a few days later both vehicles were sold but he found me two more that fit my needs. Test drove them just my girl and I and we made a choice. Made a deal in just a short time. The Jeep I choose had been taken in as a trade so they detailed it and had it to me in a couple of days. Justin told me to bring it in and let his sales Manager Jeff check it out. brought it in Jeff gave me a sweet 2024 Jeep as a loaner. A few days later I got my Jeep back and no issues. This review is only related to the service department and I'll add that all of the employees were very composed and professional during the entire ordeal. I brought my car in since the 12V cigarette plug was having intermittent issues and the car was still under warranty. The service rep (Brian) told me that in order for them to look at the issue I have to sign a pre-auth for $180. In case the issue turned out to be something not covered under warranty they will charge me that $180....JUST FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC!! I asked them why diagnosing the issue is not covered under the warranty (if it takes a mechanic more than 15min to figure this one out they shouldn't be working) and they told me that it's their policy. So I have to give them my car and then flip a coin on whether or not I'll be out $180 for a car under warranty. I spoke to the manager (Don) and he repeated the same spiel to me (with sprinklings of small family business crap). Contacted dodge to see what can be done and waiting for an answer. read more

I made an appointment last week at dolan ram in Reno to get a powertrain inspection done to keep my lifetime warranty active .It only takes an hour or less for them to do it. I get there early and they tell me that I need to leave my truck with them for 24-48 hours and they would "try" to get to it. I made the appt. last week and nobody said that I needed to leave my truck there for 24-48 hours. I live 60 miles away from Reno and my truck is my only vehicle. I was "Furious". I can't write here what I told them and then I left. I then called Carson City Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram where I bought my truck brand new (2008 Dodge Ram 1500) and asked if by chance could they do the powertrain inspection. They asked if I could be there at 2:30PM...the same day...without an appt.!!! I told them that I was on my way. Yeah...it was an extra 40 miles each way. But they got it done. In the future I won't be stopping in Reno at the Ram dealer to have work done. I will stay on the freeway to Carson City CDJR. The slogan for the Reno Ram dealer is "get in and join the family". What a crock. They used to be a great dealer when it was just Reno Toyota. But after acquiring all the other car brands they now carry I think they have bit off more than they can chew. For everybody reading this...if you need a new or used Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram...save yourself the headache and high pressure and make the drive to Carson City. We brought it into Carson Dodge for repair, they looked at it and said we will order the parts and you can bring it back in 3 days. We took it back after the parts were in and they fixed it in one day. Everyone was very nice and knew exactly what was going when we brought it back in, it was great to not have to explain ourselves again. The surprising part is the dealer was cheaper than our normal mechanic who we always thought was less expensive then the dealer. My 2021 Ram broke down on our way home to Utah. I was trying to find a Ram dealership with their service department open on Saturday. I was surprised to find Reno dealership, the size of the city, is only open Monday through Friday (Wow, what a disappointment). I had my Ram towed to this dealership. I arrived to find out customer service is horrible! The service advisor couldn't even give me a few minutes of his time to help me figure out a way to continue my travel home. He would walk in and out of the office cussing due to him working on a holiday weekend? Hate to say this, but I had to work a lot of holidays in law enforcement. I don't have a lot of confidence in this dealership. Might have to have my vehicle towed somewhere else. read more

We brought our 2014 Ram Laramie here for a repair. We were having transmission issues and the power train warranted was still under effect, so they repaired it and it ran good for a while, before it started having the same, very dangerous problem. (It shifts improperly, causing a very loud clunking sound, and feels like you have hit a giant Boulder. It is a very startling and dangerous occurrence while driving 55 mph.) We brought it back multiple times and they said that they could find nothing wrong and/or did unrelated "repairs." We drive almost 200 miles to get to this location so getting it back within the warranty period was difficult during Covid and winter. Our year, make and model it turns out, is notorious for having this exact transmission issue. They are no stranger to this issue but they gaslighted us, basically treating us like we were imagining the issue. Now we are stuck with a $3,500 repair that SHOULD have been covered under warranty. Anyone have a recommendation for a trustworthy transmission shop in California? read more
