I needed to repair my Tesla for some bumper damage, and there were only two options covered by Tesla insurance that were reasonably close to me. I was chose carstar because of a good initial interaction by email, and by the yelp reviews. My early experience was good with prompt email and phone responses by Ramon, and helpful staff on bringing the car in. I was impressed that they were willing to drive me back to where I needed to go rather than force me to rent a car, especially because there were no convenient rental cars in their area. Ultimately though, the grill under the bumper which was damaged in the collision didn't come in a reasonable time and they returned the car to me promising that they would fix this later. Now, many months have gone by, and two phone calls and two emails across about two months have not been met with any reply. They were paid in full by Tesla insurance upfront and seemingly have little more to gain by doing this repair and following up on their promise. I would caution any Tesla owners on choosing this location, and suggest that if work needs to be done that they not take the car back until all repairs are complete., if it is possible to withhold payment until the work is done that would be best. read more

The president of this company (Ramon) and his team were the greatest. They were in constant communication from beginning to end. First, I was able to send pictures of the damage for them to assess, instead of having to drive 100 miles there in person. Second, they ordered the hood, painted and prepped within a week. Scheduled to come in and they installed the hood, washed the car and done in 2 hours. Kelsey served as a customer concierge the whole time, informing me what they were going to do, what they were doing at the time, how much longer, etc. etc. Also, they were very proficient with the insurance. This place will put a Band-Aid on your vehicle. When I brought my vehicle in for an estimate, I was told they were going to replace and paint the bumper. Later I was told l have to pay (out of pocket ) if I wanted that service. Mind you they were working with my insurance. When my vehicle was "ready" they failed to put a part back on. Recently I noticed that same part came off. I can only imagine how much they charged the insurance company. Avoid bringing your vehicle here! My car was at this shop getting repaired for about 3 months in 2013... When I got my car back, they decided to keep my spare tire, scratch the inside of my car, the carpet was sticking out on the passengers side, and steal some clips that were on a visor. When I called them to let them know about the spare tire not in my trunk, scratches, carpet and belongings missing, they said they were not responsible for what was left in my car. REALLY? I took my car to this shop TWO MONTHS ago and to this day I have not received it back. I was told that the service for my car would take THREE WEEKS and every time I call its a different excuse as to why my car isn't ready. I took my 84 caddy their was hit by a person in a parking lot, when I got my car back the car was not clean out good, the battery hold down was missing, trash bent was under the front seat. There was a part missing off my right front fender(filler) which they said couldn't be found, not true. If they had look online they could have found it, they where to lazy to do so. Post is long over due... this business failed. Next to the mediocre insurance co Founders that forced me to go along with their Estimate, International damaged my vehicle. Sure they repaired the claim filed however wouldn't own up to damaging my vehicle in another area. WhenI went to pick the car up... I asked to look at it... I seen the damage had been repaired and simply did a walk around and immediately notice a slight bump/dent at the drivers door... the side that I have entered 100x.. Had the damage been there prior, wouldn't a smart person include it in the claim??? Then the 'employee' for lack of a better word asks me, "Why did you walk around to that side, the damage was on the passenger side?" Really?? I can walk around that MFr 50x if I choose to before I hand you over this $500. Before becoming indignant he then says... 'Are you taking the vehicle or not....Its Sat and we're not even open. We did you a favor because its the holiday?' Rude ASS. What reputable Business does that? I dropped my vehicle off with them.. two days later I needed to retrieve items and my vehicle was 2 blocks away in their 'warehouse;.. well this warehouse had cars bumper to bumper... I couldn't even get to my vehicle. Later an older gentlemen guides me through to a side to enter. To date nothing has been done... by INT'L or the whack Insurance Co.
