Love this place! I've been here many times for breakfast but recently went for lunch with my daughter. We were given both breakfast and lunch menus to choose from as well as a long list of blackboard specials. My daughter opted for a bacon avocado chicken wrap and I had a Mediterranean omelet with hash browns, toast and coffee. The portions are huge and neither of us could finish our meal. This used to be my favorite breakfast place. This is the second time I was very disappointed. The bacon for my husband and I was cremated and far far too salty. I would give it 3 1/2 stars. I've been coming here since they opened. The quality of the food and service ebs and flows of good and bad. I can say most of the time I've gone (which is probably about 30 times since they have opened) food and service are fine. But when they are bad they are really bad. That's the problem. Coffee is ok. If you love your coffee don't expect much. Omelettes are ok. I've had a few that I wasn't that into. Pancakes are fucking awesome French Toast is ok. Great if you like the big bread type. Toast is so good EVERYTIME. Mostly because they make their own bread on the premises. Hash browns are good. Service lately has been really good. I'm going today so I will update with what it was like. We have tried every other diner in the area and Carvers is consistently good. Breakfast and lunch are a treat here, after 8 am you may have to wait for a table. They make and sell their own multigrain pancake mix , breads, pies and muffins. But its really worth the wait. The staff have been consistent as well which you tells allot. read more

until today i would have never given Carver's a 2 star review because the food really is terrific. today was a horror-the servers have always been a bit fresh and lacking refinement but never have i seen such rude behavior and I am tired of seeing it and not saying anything. first-the waitress looks at us with contempt when we walk in and stand waiting to be told where to sit and just walked away. she walked behind the counter and back to the floor several times but ignored us. btw there were plenty of open cleared seats available. second-the couple next to use had to wait for a set up after their food arrived. the waiter was so distracted he did not even notice that they had none. third-the wait staff was so busy socializing with the other patrons (who apparently have free reign to roam behind the counter) that we waited an uncomfortable lenght of time before ordering. forth-the worst bit of lack of customer service i have ever encountered. the waitress was actually yelling at a customer when he found an item that he was not expecting on his food. SHE YELLED AT HIM AND TOLD HE SHE WAS NOT A MIND READER, she slammed things behind the counter and spoke about him in a very loud voice. no customer should ever be yelled at or scolded. The food is really good. I had two multigrain pancakes with sausage. One would have been enough. Each pancake is plate sized and filling. The two sausages are also very tasty. One issue for me was that we asked for water twice but never got any. First time that's happened in our 4 or 5 visits, so it's just annoying, not worth boycotting. Have been here a couple of times now. Have had a pleasant experience with food and service each time. They make sure your coffee cup is full and your breakfast is hearty. But today I was disheartened when my friend and I were gabbing after we had eaten breakfast and the owner? Manager? came over and told us we had to leave because people (10 to be exact) were waiting for a table. When we looked at the door, there were three people. Everything is consistently tasty with daily specials and a broad menu. When we are craving great breakfast this is our go to local place. Carver's is the new Doc's Kitchen. Same location, staff, and food. I don't agree with the name change, but the food is excellent. I have yet to order ANYTHING there that I don't like and recommend them to everyone looking for a good breakfast (or lunch, but we usually get breakfast). You have to order pancakes at least once and always check out the daily specials. The pancakes are HUGE and you can put all kinds of ingredients in them. It's our favorite place to go on Saturday or Sunday mornings. The only downside is that the location is small and there is usually a wait. So if you're in a rush, go somewhere else and try Carver's on a quieter day. read more

We are big fans of Carver's food, especially the breakfast! The multi grain pancakes are absolutely delicious!!!!!!! They also constantly have very unique and yummy specials. Homemade breads and soups and very fresh ingredients. I recently had the Nutella stuffed French toast with fresh fruit on top and it was amazing! The bacon is soooo good too!!! I could go on forever! The reason for only four stars is because of the service. It's not horrible but really not great. When we first started going there the service was such a turn off but we kept going for the food. The breakfast crew is usually a bunch of younger kids who could not handle it when it got busy and did not pay much attention to their tables. I never see any adults around to supervise? Since we do go often we have gotten to know the wait staff and they are all very nice but definitely need to be supervised. A lot of texting and talking going on behind the counter instead of working. A couple of weeks ago we got our food and no one came back to ask how everything was or refill our drinks. We then had to wait a while to receive our check. The waitress was too busy texting! Highly inappropriate!!! So minus 1 star for the service. Otherwise great place!!!! read more

Single patrons - delicious food, have eaten there before and was always very pleased. Today however, I had an experience which left a bad taste in my mouth. All seats were taken. I was offered to sit at the counter, and decided to wait until a small table was ready. When I did get to sit down, the woman - I didn't mind waiting - who waited on me seemed quite annoyed. I finished rather quickly and watched her ask many other customers "how ya dong here"Never ask me - passed by me several times - appears she probably was annoyed. When she gave the check to other customers she very politely said thank you. When I was given the check she came over quickly put it down on the table and said here you go, still with what appeared annoyance. I was there alone and while I ate those Who came in after me did not have to wait for a table. So my being a single customer there really should not have mattered. I felt just awful, I was very polite, so why be treated that way. I was really surprised, and will hesitate before going there again, alone, or with someone. read more
