I've grabbed twice during the months of December and January take out from Casa Orozco. The food was magnificent as always. It's a shame we can't eat indoors but it's nice to have the food available and the quality is still high. Now that we can eat outdoors under their big tents I'm sure people will flock in again. They all wear masks and they have a clean establishment normally so I'm confident they are safe. They are only 1 of 2 established restaurants we have trusted to get food from. I got DoorDash delivery bc for some reason this place didn't offer pick-up. Everything looked real yummy, but just wasn't done right. I ordered the 3-item combo, but the way they have their DoorDash menu probably confused them. You pick each item for your combo, then pick a meat. So I picked a fish taco as one of my items, but then you have to select a meat. Fish wasn't listed, so the next closest option is 'no meat - chili relleno" so I picked that. The three items I chose for me combo were a fish taco, a shredded beef flauta, and a chicken tamale. What I got was a fish taco, a flauta, and a chili relleno. Fine, they got confused, no biggy. The flauta, beans, rice, chips, and salsa were good. the fish taco was sooo bland and had lots of fish bones in it. The cheese in the chili relleno was still solid and not melted at all and they didn't even roast and remove the skin from the chili so it was impossible to cut through. The fish taco and chili relleno is what i mean when i say the food wasn't done right. Also, if you order a soda, it's a small fountain soda. With the prices pretty high too, I expected better but will not be eating from here again. Also - the DoorDash menu says "try our taco extra-crispy style" but how are your customers supposed to order that when there's no option to select crispy and you can't write any notes?? read more

Without fail, every take out order we've gotten from Casa Orozco, there is always something missing. It's super frustrating when you tip people and hope for the best, but keep on being disappointed. This time I ordered fajitas and no tortillas came with it. I saw on the order slip that it said no tortillas, but I called in the order and never said that. I recently tried this place and I was greeted to some friendly customer service. I first got some complimentary salsa and chips which served as a nice appetizer. I ordered the tacos el pastor which were filling and flavorful. However, I do think I would have liked them if they were a bit spicier. This place used to be my go-to for Mexican food. It was great. Now unfortunately the quality is super inconsistent. I tried to be understanding after Covid challenges, and I know many restaurants are struggling with labor shortages. However, I can't continue to spend my hard earned money on food that has a 50/50 shot at best of being edible. For example, I got steak flautas. Usually a safe basic choice. They were so oil soaked they were inedible. Tried them again and got a Chile relleno. Although the outside was hot, the cheese inside was a solid, unmelted block and was almost ice cold. While I realize they are probably pre-prepared and cooked when ordered, this could potentially be a food safety issue when items are not brought up to proper temperature. I put off writing this review for almost a year as I'd hoped things would improve. However, they sadly have not. read more

Unlimited chips and salsa!! One of the many reasons why I love this place. They also have live music at night on the weekends. The food is delicious, except for the chicken soup. That was a bit on the bland side. However, their chimichangas and their carne asada platter was delicious! Staff is also really nice. I recently met up with a group of moms for some good drinks and great conversation. We sat outside and our server wasn't around nearly as often as we had hoped. Kept having to flag down a different server, he was friendlier and way more helpful. I didn't catch their names, and I also didn't pay the bill- so I'll never know. I enjoyed the skinny Margarita very much. It was love at first sip. The Caldo de pollo is tasty also. Full of veggies and they sure didn't skimp on the tortilla strips. Our server was nice. The food did take a while to come out though. Our table was not very clean. Chips and salsa were basic. I took three stars away from this review because of our main dish. We ordered everything vegetarian. We ordered the combo plates; I ordered the taco and enchilada and my fiancé ordered the taco, burrito, and enchilada plate. The rice was OK, some hard pieces in there. Beans were a bit on the bland side. We both had our enchilada first and it was stuffed with the big pieces of vegetables. I am OK with the vegetables in there but they need to be cut into small pieces. These were large! Barely any cheese in the enchilada so it felt like I was eating tortilla, sauce, grilled veggies. I ate it anyway. They used the same veggies and put it in their crispy taco and sprinkled it with a lot of cheese and lettuce. No sauce, nothing. Very similar to these two, was the burrito. Full of these giant veggies. The only thing we finished on our plate was the enchilada and the rice. Their enchilada sauce was good though. I don't think I will be returning since they don't seem to make their vegetarian items right. read more

Been coming here for years and have good memories. I like their salsa and a mole dish they have. However the place has unfortunately gone down hill steadily. The decor looks run down which would be ok for a dive bar or strip mall cantina, but considering the prices that are being charged now it really need to be rehabbed. During my last visit the service was slow with too few check-in's and one of the drinks ordered never materialized with no chance to ask about it. Server seemed like he did not want to be there. The $14 guacamole appetizer was half the size it used to be and while good in the past tasted as if it came out of a plastic bin at the supermarket and maybe it was. We had chili verde and I loved the how tender the meat was and loved the spice. Still kind of pricy but I had some to take home for s snack later. The portion sizes are generous. This restaurant has a local following with a good vibe - outdoor seating with live music, which is a rarity these days. Meals - the chips and salsa are phenomenal... addictive is the best description! Enjoyed the shrimp ceviche, but just too much food - half would have been sufficient. The shrimp tacos were ok - sauce too creamy and serving too large. Service - attentive, well informed and friendly. Decor - needs a face lift. The restaurant is clean and the staff kept the tables cleaned down after each group left. Yet the smell of cleaning agent (Fabuloso?) had too strong of an odor for a restaurant, overpowering the environment. While I appreciate the attention to keeping everything clean, they should research other options. read more

My husband and I came to this restaurant on Saturday December 10, 2022 at about 8:00 pm. We literally had to wait 15 minutes before being seated. There wasn't a hostess at the podium. 3 waiters asked if we've been help and no one was courteous to seat us. They the(waiters/waitress) would pass by us look at us and leave. I'm Mexican /American, and my husband is Mexican. The staff there asumes that because we are Mexican we're not entitled to have the same service as others. We arrive a few minutes after our family did and did not receive water cups for 25 minutes we were sitting down. We had to ask for utensils more than 15 times (We all started to keep track). Once our food arrived, we STILL DID NOT have our utensils and had to ask 4 other people before someone brought out 2 for a table of 8. We all had to wait 10 minutes after getting our food to finally get utensils. I'm not really sure what was going on tonight but the attention to your tables needs to be way better and some servers need some training on manners and team work. Just because it's "not your table" doesn't mean you should completely ignore the table and not help. Will not be going here again, and definitely don't recommend. Ordered takeout June 3, and the food was disappointing. The chips were horrible, old and tasted burned, whats so hard about making make fresh chips?? The carnitas and the carne asada for the enchiladas tasted soo dry and not fresh at all. Their cheese in the enchiladas taste so cheap, a great cheese will make the enchiladas taste better. The beans taste generic, have no flavor and the rice is too plain and bland with no flavor.Cheap containers for the jalapeños, by the time I got home the jalapeños were all over in the bag. . The food is not authentic and I feel like this restaurant does the very bare minimum with the quality of the food. The salsa sauce is extremely spicy with zero flavor. These prices are not worth it. I don't mind the prices if the food was fantastic. I will not be ordering from this restaurant anymore. I would not recommend this place. read more

My coworkers love coming here and it's not a bad place! They have plenty of seating whether you have a small or large party. Lots of food choices on the menu too. PARKING: Big lot, tons of space. You should find a spot no problem. FOOD: Complimentary chips and salsa as you look through the menu. Salsa is a little spicy! Don't get full off the chips. Their dishes are promising. My favorites are the Super Burrito and the Tostado Salads - depends on my food. The fajitas come in large portions with your choice of corn/flour tortillas. So much more to try here! SERVICE: Staff is friendly. Don't come here if you're in a rush though.
