I was very impressed with this place. I loved all the vegan options here. I had the tofu sandwich on sourdough bread that was delicious and we also shared the vegan quesadilla. The atmosphere is very nice and the waitress was so sweet and genuine, I wish I remembered her name! (Blonde, bubbly and so friendly!) Wow!! This place was amazing. The Brussels Sprouts appetizer was unbelievable. I joked with my brother the dip is what spinach artichoke dip wants to be when it grows up. I loved the fries that came with the salmon. They were perfectly crispy, and I loved the cracked peppercorn and rosemary on top. We also got the lemon cheesecake with huckleberry topping. Mind blown! Pretty good place. I've been here a couple times now, and the food is nice. Last time I had the salmon sandwich which was surprisingly not overcooked! I did not care for the bread. There was just too much of it, but it was good. Tonight my husband had the Cascadia burger. It was great. And the management (or some higher ups) even come out to chat with you to make sure you're happy and sound like they're genuinely interested in your feedback and how you're enjoying your evening. Holy smokes are the burgers fresh. You can tell it's hand pressed patties. I eat meat but my girlfriends pescatarian so it was good having vegan options for her. Everything was well handled and professional staff. I thought the price was a little high for a burger but the size, freshness and amount of food is well justified! Sadly, I've been disappointed 2 times in a row. About 6 weeks ago I ordered a chicken sandwich to be prepared as a wrap and it was prepared as GF so just the ingredients of the sandwich were tossed randomly into the to go box which was so disappointing! I didn't have any tortillas or buns on hand at home to create my own wrap or sandwich. Called them right away when I got home and discovered the mistake; received a genuine apology and was told there would be a $10 gift card at the counter for me to use next time. Good response! Tonight I went in to redeem the gift card and order an appetizer. Ordered the pretzels with queso and mustard to go. There was a hair, a mostly straight hair (I have very curly hair) in the mustard or cheese, not sure which because I dipped in both for every bite. So disgusting! I don't think I'll be able to order a pretzel again, anywhere, for at least a year or until that memory is completely gone from my mind, which ever comes first! Perhaps it is time for a quality control staff meeting??? read more

The menu selection is good. Good atmosphere and the wait staff is polite. The wait time was a little long for food and no staff free until the end to see if any drink refills were needed but with that being said I would go back if I was In the area. Wow. I don't know how I had never heard of this place. I mean, it is relatively new - apparently just about a year old. But still. I'm surprised everyone isn't raving about it. My fiance and I just went today for lunch, and were served by Robby, one of the co-owners, as it turns out. He is SUCH a nice guy. He wasn't intrusive but he checked up on us frequently and, picking up on our chattiness, stayed and talked with us quite a bit, telling us about the business and such. But of course, you'll want to know how the food is. Well let me tell you, it is FAB. I got the Vegan Curry Mac while my fiance ordered the Impossible Burger - oh yeah, by the way, they have the Impossible Burger!!!!! The only place in town! I thought it wouldn't be available here for years! So that's exciting. But anyway - everything was cooked to perfection but it still came out quickly. You guys, it was so good. Like, I'll be craving it until we can get out here again good. For the vegans out there - they have so many options for us! Robby told us they try to keep the menu about 60/40 omni/vegan. They also have even more vegetarian options and plenty of GF food as well. What more can I say? I already feel redundant but we had such a good experience here! I like this spot for a few reasons. 1. There's hardly anything on the north side of Spokane, so it's nice to have a good restaurant by 5 mile. 2. They have tons of gluten free, vegan, and dairy free options! I'd say one of the best spots in Spokane as far as options go for people with allergies. 3. The cashew cheese is AMAZING! 4. The word that best describes my experience at Cascadia is underwhelming. Drinks: For a restaurant that has branded itself as public house, the drink program left a lot to be desired. The selection of draft beers and micro-brews is limited (less than 20). I also found it odd that there was no print beer list of board, rather, the only way to see what was available was off a phone carried by our server, preventing you from taking time to look it over. Food: As an appetizer we ordered the Brussels Sprout Dip. The dip was excellent but the Brussels Sprouts it accompanied where under-seasoned. As an entree, I ordered the herb crusted steak. The temp was spot on medium rare but the cook was insanely uneven. One side was perfectly seared while the other looked as though it had nearly touched the heat. The flavor was good but overshadowed by such a fundamental missteps in the cook. The steak was served with fries and fried onions. Both of these where plated underneath the hot steak. Predictably, by the time our food made it to the table, both the onions and fries had been made soggy by the resting steak. An issue with a simple solution. Takeaway: I love to support the local food scene and traveled across town to try Cascadia after hearing about it by word of mouth. As much as I want to like this establishment, my experience was painfully average. I could expect a better experience from many other similar local establishments and can therefore not justify returning. read more

I was really excited to eat here, and the food was delicious, but..... when they tried to serve my kid her plain hamburger with the cheese scraped off and the burger flipped upside down in hopes she wouldn't notice, I was pretty disappointed.
