While passing through the area we had a great experience at the Cascadia public house. Starting off though I do want to point out it was a little confusing what to do upon entering the restaurant since there was no hostess stand or seat yourself sign to let you know what to do. We seated ourselves but I think the hostess was just busy when we entered because we saw others being shown a table during our dining experience. After being seated, we ordered the pretzel appetizer. It was delicious! Soft and pillowy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It was a bit different texture than normal pretzels as it had a fried crispness to it despite the fact that it wasn't fried. The cheese compliment with the mustard rim was good as well. For my main meal I got the Cajun ranch chicken with garlic fries. The fries were delicious. Well battered and crispy accentuated by the aioli sauce. My one complaint here is to maybe have the aioli be a dipping sauce instead of a drizzle because some of the fries had too much and some had too little. The sandwich was ok, the chicken was a touch overdone and the sauce was a bit lacking in flavor. I definitely didn't come away from the sandwich with a "wow that was Cajun!" Feel in my tastebuds... I think if they didn't cook the chicken as long and spiced up or added more sauce this would have been a 5 star meal. We will be back whenever we're in the area!

This is probably the fourth time I've been to Cascadia. I live out of state, but I make a point to pop in when I'm in Spokane. Their pretzels are so addicting. They're huge, fluffy, salty and crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. Only thing I don't like is I prefer the mustard and not the cheese, but they were gonna charge me extra for mustard. That seemed a little ridiculous to me. But moving on, the salad was so good. I shared it with my daughter and it was everything we wanted to be. This place has great food and quick service. If you haven't been there go check them out.

Every time we come here, we leave happy and full! My husband and I took my parents here recently and we sat outside on their patio. The drinks, food and service were all fantastic. Hands down the best pretzels in town (we always get an order to go for later). Looking forward to the opening of Kindred soon!

The service was excellent! Our server was super sweet and made our experience so great. We went for restaurant week and tried a few things off the menu. My goodness was all the food absolutely delicious. I can't recommend this place more. The pretzels there are so unique and delicious. Best pretzels ever. Had there shrimp tacos that was a flavor melody I wasn't expecting and it left me wanting more. Finally the strawberry oat bar was simply the best tasting thing I've had in a while and it melted in your mouth. Soooooo amazing! The ambience was a bit loud as it is a small space but I wouldn't want it to be any bigger other wise you would be able to see the amazing chef's in the kitchen whipping up your food. Over all this place is definitely worth checking out and I will be back soon!

Service was great. Very personable and they greeted all the regulars by name. They had my favorite beer on tap so that is always a plus and they made sure that my glass was never empty. The look is sleek and contemporary but still comfortable. Ordered the bleu cheese burger. Flavor was really good. Just not exceptional. Patty was a bit dry and the fries were a bit cool. Not stale, just not hot. I heard them say the kitchen was backed up so maybe they were having a bit of an off night. I will go back and give them another try.

Eh, we were seated right next to the kitchen so it was very loud. The service was just fine. We came because there were tons of people saying how delicious their soft pretzel was. Neither my friend or I thought it was very good. VERY bland. And the texture was a lil funky. The beer cheese was okay, but there are so many better options in Spokane. I have enjoyed coming here in the past but next time I will be getting something else!

This place was really good and I am even more impressed I found it on a whim. Not only was the food drool worthy, but the service was immaculate, and the outdoor seating ambiance was such a vibe. My boyfriend and I just adopted our sweet puppy and drove six house to get him so we needed an outdoor, dog friendly spot. It was perfect because there was even a pet store right next door we stopped in afterward. Every server was so sweet and attentive and made sure our waters were full, even our pups. We hope to go back if we are ever in that area because it was THAT good!

Amazing food! The service is always great and the food is awesome especially for your GF and V options with burgers and dairy free cheeses. Portion sizes are plenty and prices are not bad. Come early though. This place fills up fast because it's so good! read more

Service was terrible. So bad that the waiter asked if we wanted the check before the food came out. Once the food came out, it was burnt and cold. They need to make it so you can give a negative star to understand how bad the service was. read more

Cascadia is a cool, casual spot with friendly staff and tasty food! I love all the vegan options - some of my favorites are the buffalo cauliflower flatbread, the Impossible Philly, and the tofu bbq burger (all have great flavor!). The drinks are always great too - love the Maple Street Mule with huckleberries. read more

Just here for a couple nights. Stopped at the 1898 Public House and holy moly are the people pretentious!! Yikes! So we finished our drinks and headed here instead and boy what a breath of fresh air. The food was amazing and they can substitute any burger for the "impossible burger" the garlic fries are to die for and the wait staff could not be friendlier! Kudos to all the wait staff thanks for an enjoyable dinner! Especially Kelvin! read more

Really good food and amazing service! Seriously can't remember that last time we had a server at a restaurant that was so nice! Pretzels are awesome (more like fry bread than traditional pretzels), and the crispy chicken sandwich was delicious (big enough to eat with fork and knife). Parking can be a bit tight in the complex, but completely worth it! read more

Excellent chicken, spinach, bacon salad and garlic fries! The chicken needs to be cut into smaller pieces and they forgot to include the bread with the salad, but flavor and freshness was excellent! Garlic fries were AMAZING!!!! Will definitely order from here again! read more

Great new place on the north side. Food is fresh and delicious, and reasonably priced. I had the salmon sandwich, which was very tasty. I was surprised at the healthy amount of salmon I got, most restaurants skimp on that. They have a diverse, but not overwhelming menu, that features local foods. I caught myself having food envy, as every dish a waiter carried by looked amazing. Good drink selection, and the atmosphere is great. Patio is intimate and welcoming. I will definitely make this a regular stop. I highly recommend Cascadia. read more

We were visiting family and I found this place on yelp. I was excited to find a place that had great vegan options, but also great options for my non-vegan family. It's a nice relaxed atmosphere, nice attentive servers, with a great selection of food (my husband ate the vegan philly steak, twice!) I really liked the tlta with garlic fries. They also offer a vegan desert pretzel, which was bomb. I didn't get to try all of the drinks, but I highly recommend the cobbler. This is definitely my go to place for future visits with the family read more

Came with friends on Saturday, and while the service was great, the food and drinks were extremely average. Could have easily made the Steak Salad at home, as the ingredients put into what I received made it seem, in my opinion, very overpriced. Would be open to trying again, but not currently not overly impressed read more

We were looking for a new place to try this week, so we gave Cascadia a try for a mid-week lunch. They have an open kitchen, so we grabbed a table close to the action. One of the owner's was there to greet us, and he took our order as well. We had the vegan nachos, and the steak salad with blue cheese dressing. While we waited for our order to be prepared, we were able to see the food coming out at the pass- great presentation on the food! The steak salad was presented nicely, cooked to the right temperature, and had a good amount of blue cheese, walnuts, and dried cranberries throughout. The vegan nachos also presented nicely, but it could have used a wider variety of toppings- still tasty, however. What can I say about the cheese made with cashews? It was kind of strange, kind of sweet, but also kind of worked! Overall we enjoyed the experience, and look forward to trying some of their other allergy friendly fare. read more

Our favorite restaurant in Spokane.The Garlic Aioli fries are TO DIE FOR! Full Vegan menu along with a menu that will make meat eaters and vegetarians very happy. Lots of varieties of beer and craft cocktails and the service is fantastic. Great place for the whole family. Was going to go here but noticed on the menu that there's a mandatory service charge (i.e., a tip) added on to everything. I have no problem tipping when service is good, but I resent the idea of it being forced. If it's needed to cover staff wages as the wording on the menu says, then just increase prices. Adding it on top of published and more visible pricing is deceptive. read more

Love this place! We went first during restaurant week and weren't impressed, but that is just because of how insanely busy they were (good sign right?). After they re-opened due to COVID we tried it again and were very impressed. We took my mom there who is a vegan, and loved how many options she had. Every server we have had has been amazing and friendly. I definitely recommend trying them out! read more

We are nestled right in the heart of the 5-mile area and are extremely excited for the opportunity to provide guests with the best locally sourced drinks and dishes combined with unmatched customer service. The mint wasn't overpowering, the watermelon was the perfect ripeness. It was so good. I would try to recreate it but it was done so well, and I know I couldn't hit that dressing in the same way. Get it while you can. For my main, I had ordered the scallops in my brain before I even arrived. The risotto was a little soupy, but the flavor was SO good. The corn came through and it went so well with the scallops. The tomatoes were quite over salted, but as long as I didn't eat them alone, it was alright. The scallops were perfectly cooked and I felt like the portion was appropriately sized for the dish, even though there were only 4. My server really made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was busy but the booths looked like they could be cozy. The prices were on the higher end. But for a special occasion, it was worth it. I really wished I'd had room for dessert. I will surely go back the next time I am in town.

Again, food came out in good time so no issue there, but all 3 meals were lacking. My burger was obviously from a frozen paddy, but not too terrible. Was hoping to get something to brag about, but not so. Wife's BLT was barely toasted and pretty bland, although she got regular mayo rather than the aioli, maybe that is the secret to the BLT. Daughter said her chicken was also previously frozen because all the chicken pieces were hard. Overall, was hoping that this would be a go to place, but sadly, we will not return. The quest goes on.

They weren't fall of the bone tender, but still tender enough. The coleslaw on the side was very sour and spicy. It was more like spicy sauerkraut rather than coleslaw. The seafood boil was underwhelming small especially for the price. The shrimp were overcooked. The clams were very small. The muscles still had beards. The potatoes and corn were cooked nicely. It needed more salt and sauce. The sweet teas came unsweetened and while it did came with sugar on the side - the grains were too big to actually stir in. And I would like the mentioned that my cup of water had black specks floating around in it. All in all - I wouldn't return.

Although the food and drinks at this restaurant are probably ok, the gentleman who calls himself "Head Chef" likes to shop at the store across the street walking around in his dirty apron and kitchen towel hanging from his backside. This is the same apron and towel that he wipes his soiled hands on, along with everything else that he comes in contact with. This should be removed and left behind when one ventures out of the building and into the street. Does this person have a Food Handler's card? Did he ever take the test? As someone who has worked in the food industry for nearly fifty years, I personally would never eat here. Who knows what other kinds of hygiene issues might be going on behind the kitchen door. I've eaten here probably 20-30 times over the past 5 years and every. single. time. I go I am not dissapointed. Big portions, fair prices, AMAZING service. The Oregonzola salad is one of my top favs! This is by far the best restaurant of its type in Spokane. I also appreciate that they are very accommodating for larger parties and they're friendly towards young kids. You don't have to feel like you are going to annoy the staff if you have little ones. The interior and vibe of the restaurant is laid back, and they even have local art on rotation. I had the mac and cheese and was so happy to be provided with a delicious meal. The crispy cheese on top greatly complimented the pasta and chicken while the melted cheese inside the bowl will warm you right up and leave you satisfied. This time I made sure that I was getting the right bottle. I reviewed the drink menu & found that it clearly shows that they have a Pino Grigio from Italy in a bottle form for $18. I pointed this out to our server, Dee Dee & told her that I only wanted it if it's the bottle. She returned and told me that it was only available in a craft. This tells me that they haven't corrected their drink menu. Our server, Dee Dee was short with us several times. Especially, at the end when I asked her to explain my bill because it didn't make sense to me. It shows $38.70 + $3.52 (tax) - $4.80 (HH discount) = $42.22. My math shows that the total would be $37.42, not $42.22. Instead of trying to help me she took off and got the bartender who explained that the $4.80 discount was taken off beforehand which created the $38.70 total. I thanked the bartender for explaining it to me. I then went to explain it to Dee Dee so that she could explain it to others and she just walked off. The Doors used to be our go to place for our group's birthdays, but not any more. First the got rid of the free steak dinner, and it appears that they've also gotten rid of decent servers and an accurate menu.
