I had high hopes for this place from the ratings, but Casey's Place failed me for lunch today. I ordered the soup and salad combo for $7.50 and it includes a drink. I chose to drink iced tea and I was a little disappointed that it was watery, but it wasn't the end of the world. Next my food came. I ordered the tomato basil soup and the garden salad with no cheese. The tomato soup was very watery and it had no flavor at all. I ate the tortellini pieces out of the soup and then left it alone. The salad was fresh, but they use iceberg lettuce which is like serving water on a plate. I left very hungry and will not be going back. read more

My mom has been talking about this place for a long time, so I was happy to meet several family members for lunch at Casey's on 8/13/18. I ordered the Reuben for $9.25 (sandwich only, did not come with any kind of side). A little bit pricey for a walk-up sandwich counter with a Subway's vibe. The orders started coming out to the table one at a time, but that made sense because we all ordered separately at the counter. My daughter ordered tuna on white bread. Wow, her sandwich was HUGE. Okay the generous portions may be worth the high price-tag. Then my Reuben was dropped off. It was roughly half the size of my daughter's sandwich. What?! The sandwiches cost the same amount! The toasted bread on my Reuben didn't taste anything like rye, there was only a small portion of corned beef, and I couldn't even taste the sauerkraut. The sandwich was so/so at best, but forgivable. Casey's isn't a deli after all. But what I just couldn't get over was the blatant disparity in sandwich sizes. I won't go back. read more

The front counter has a sign that literally says "The Daily B**ch." Underneath it says "I pretend like I care but I really don't." It would be a cute sign for a college kid's dorm room or something... but an eating establishment where I'm about to pay you to care about my food/service is totally inappropriate. Had our food been prepared with care, I would have let the sign slide in this review even though it wasn't welcoming. My partner and I chuckled it off though happy to be having a meal alone and were anxious to try the food! Ordered the potato soup to share and the Casey's Club. Maybe we've just been spoiled with the likes of Caruso's and even the overpriced Panera... but we were so disappointed. Could have made a better sandwich at home. The soup was served with cold bacon bits on top, and shredded cheese. The soup was lukewarm so the cold shredded cheese could barely even melt. Bacon bits stayed cold. Mediocre potato soup nothing special clearly able to taste it was a mix or canned. (I shouldn't be able tell!) I felt like someone should have cut the crusts off my kid tasting "club" sandwich. The white bread it was served on was tasteless and thin. The sandwich meat was ultra salty, crumpled up thin globs, mayonnaise too thick. Food tasted exactly like what you'd get at a school or hospital cafeteria. Nothing from scratch, nothing fresh. I wanted to ask them to take some mayo off but due to the sign upfront and counter lady's attitude, I knew "The Daily B**ch" wouldn't want to hear it. I hate saying it but even SUBWAY tastes better which we stopped eating at a while ago when we found some other outstanding local sandwich shoppes. Take your money to Caruso's where their bread is baked fresh, daily from SCRATCH. What a big difference in taste. The decor is so so awful I can't leave a review without mentioning it. Very strange, old, weird vibe. Green green carpet... Purple and green booths. Kind of country meets 90's greek themed. Something that stood out was a greasy old popcorn machine at the entrance which was pretty much empty (I guess to get popcorn at?) yet they didn't have proper napkin or straw dispensers by the drink machine. Just straws and napkins stuffed in a Styrofoam cups. If I hadn't known the establishment has been up and running for years, I would have thought it was someone's windfall project barely pulled together and missing essentials like napkin holders. This place will not be able to keep up with other lunchtime eateries in the area like Panera, Little Euro, or Caruso's. Give it more time. The quality was a reflection of how poor they must be doing behind the scenes. So sad too because I remember when it used to be a really great lunch spot before they expanded the building/changed. I'm convinced majority of high star ratings here are from loyal patrons who have been coming since they opened a long time ago, or people who just don't know what else is in the area. Or people who have fallen in love with it because it's Grandma's favorite spot for a plain jane sandwich. I think this is my first 1 star rated establishment. read more

The service is great and the employees are very courteous but the food is overpriced. I was pretty dissapointed when I paid nearly $10 for a lunch and got just a sandwich. No chips, no fruit, no drink. Just a regular size sandwich that would have cost me $5 at Subway. Feeling ripped off. read more

This was my first time here for lunch, and I will definitely be coming back. The ham & bean soup was great - sometimes the ham can overpower the soup, but not in this case. I also love how the 'small' sandwich is more than enough to fill me up. We arrived at the head of the lunch rush, but had our food within a matter of minutes. I love the atmosphere with the Greek-themed columns. Looking forward to our next visit! read more

Really good deli sandwiches...great folks too! Try their Sicilian sandwich, Rueben or BLT...so good! Free popcorn, short lines and plenty of seating. Have been in before a couple of times now. The cold sandwiches are OK. The soup was cold the second time. Just tried to order uber eats and what a disaster! Uber eats has a 4.99 delivery rate so with a small sandwich I paid 13 plus tipped him cash. I called and asked the manager if I could add on a CUP of soup which is an extra $3. She wouldn't allow it because "they don't make any money off of uber eats". She told me to order it separately on uber eats instead of paying for it over the phone and tossing it in the same bag as my sandwich. I said I will not be paying $10 in delivery charges. She then told ME to call uber eats customer service to get all of the details on how it works and I told her she should know how it works if SHE signed up for it. The delivery guy got here and was super kind and said " I wouldn't have had a problem with it, Our $ is based on mileage, not orders and yes we have a standard rate". Anyways, the food got here and I threw it away, it was TERRIBLE! The thousand island was disgusting!! The customer service is worse than the food. I will never order from there again! What a waste of my time and $15!! read more

Caseys place I must say has a lot of positives! First off the staff is amazingly friendly and it brings a great feeling as you dine in. I have tried 3 sandwhiches as well as all the soups an I will say im a huge fan of there ruben! Its not the best I have had but it is a solid portion and a great mix of sourkrout and dressing. My biggest issue though is the pricing. To me for the quality and portion I shouldn't pay more than 8 dollars for sandwhich chip and drink.PERIOD but I paid 15 bucks the portions are too small to be charged that much and the quality isn't amzing to justify the price,. I have had a ruben at quest casino which tastes better an that came with fries and coleslaw for less than 10 bucks. I will say though that the owner when he has taken my order has on many occasions given me free chips when I didn't order them ( for fear of going over budget) so that's definitely a huge gesture. I give it four stars for really what it is, a laid back family owned restaurant with amazing customer service and despite my gripe about prices ill always eat there for the good food but excellent service. read more
