What a great experience. Fresh food and great service. Cacio e Pepe is a MUST. Side table freshly made for us. I love family-owned restaurants. They make sure they deliver nothing but the best. Artichoke hearts for appetizer are on point. Highly recommended for families. If you like nice food and a good atmosphere, definitely this is the place. I was visiting with my kid. And they are super kid-friendly.

What a really nice authentic restaurant! I was surprised how good and flavorful the food was, and even how nice it looks inside. You're almost transported to about part of the world. The food was soooo good. The branzino was beautifully cooked and filleted table side. Did I mention the flavors were incredible? We finished with the housemade lemoncello which was divine Ava refreshing. A 10/10. The waiter was friendly and the owners son so you get the family vibe for sure.

We discovered this place while looking for a sit-down pizzeria that used to be at the same address, and while we were sad at its loss, Castello is a net gain. It's a bit on the fancy side, but the food is up to snuff and a nice surprise this deep into the outer 'burbs (Danbury is the terminus for a branch of the Metro North). The Carpaccio de Manzo was tasty, and my Swordfish steak was not overcooked, which is a rarity and appreciated. Food was well-presented and delicious. The Cannoli I had for dessert was a thing of beauty, and tasty to boot. A little on the pricy side, but nice for a family or date outing.

I will say it can get quite loud in there when full which it was on a Saturday night. We shared a salad to start- it was some sort of winter salad with spinach. For mains he got a steak- the steak itself was well cooked and flavorful. The mashed potatoes normally his favorite side were quite bland. He had me try them and I agreed. I ordered the mushroom ravioli. I went to take my first bite however and found they'd brought out the lobster ravioli instead. After awhile of waiting they brought out the correct meal. They did comp the ravioli which was very nice and aside from the small mix up we had great service throughout. We'll definitely come back but it is pricier than our average meal out. Hoping to try their brunch soon!

From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making us feel right at home. We started with the meatballs, French onion soup, and coconut shrimp, and every appetizer was flavorful and well-prepared. For our entrée, we ordered the filet mignon. There's always missing items especially the meat, not giving much veggies for you very small bunch (few strings watercress) for 5 pp(seriously!) then I figured regardless you add 1 or 5 they give you same amount, long wait too. We just end up feelin " begging for food" because you have to keep ordering to get some food to show up, unlike the experience we had in Danbury. I'd rather drive over there to have a better attentive meal. It's so obvious they failed to performe like a buffet especially there's comparison i had in Danbury and harsdale, NY and New Jersey locations. Service is slow even in a weekday. The person cleaning the table is doing good job, other than that, no one comes over unless we ask for it. Honestly in Danbury they keep coming over to either change the gril (so it doesn't get all the char)l or adding soup because they dry up quickly in small pot and no missing items. And also someone cares your experience.... It was also a birthday celebration night. Unfortunately the overall experience is not pleasant, food quality is below the standard. Hope they can improve as i do appreciate they are in the area.

My date and I had an 8:00 PM Valentine's Day reservation and arrived on time. We checked in with the hostess and were told our table would be ready "in a moment," which was totally fine. We stood and waited patiently. Shortly after, a white couple walked in behind us and told the hostess they technically had an 8:15 PM reservation but were told to come at 8:00. They were seated immediately. We looked at each other but didn't say anything -- we figured maybe they had something ready and ours was being turned over. Then another white couple came in with an 8:00 PM reservation and was also seated right away. At this point, we were still standing there. No update. No explanation. No reassurance. All three parties were groups of two. There was no difference in party size, and we were on time for our reservation. Being skipped once might be a mistake. Being skipped twice, with no communication at all, felt intentional and uncomfortable. We were left standing there feeling confused and honestly unwelcome. If there was a legitimate reason for the delay, it was never communicated to us. No "your table is being cleared," no "we're just running behind," nothing. Just silence while other couples were seated in front of us. What was the difference between their table and ours that we were moved to the side to stand and wait? Everyone was a party of 2. We arrived on time and were the first ones in the door.. I truly didn't want to believe what this looked like, but it became impossible to ignore. We ended up leaving because the situation made us feel disrespected and unwanted as customers. Valentine's Day is obviously a busy night, but fairness and basic communication are non-negotiable. I would not recommend this place, and I especially would not recommend it to people of color based on how we were treated.
