honestly. Don't sleep on this seemingly hole in the wall. We ordered the Salt and Pepper Tofu and the Salt and Pepper Eggplant. Two things to know: Salt and Pepper anything is my go to and so I've had a lot. I've never had the tofu fried but still SOFT on the inside. Like a very soft tofu!! Normally a firm tofu but that was such a fun texture. My fiancée loves eggplant and WE HAVE NEVER HAD IT PREPARED LIKE THIS. it was BUTTERY AND DE-VINE!!! This place sucks. Our normal Chinese go-to - Wings - is closed on Wednesday's so we decided to order Cathay Express for delivery. My wife called and placed the order for 4 large entrees and rice, gave the man our address and was told we could pay when the driver arrived. Fast forward an hour and our food hasn't arrived. Worried the driver was lost and driving circles around our neighborhood I decided to call the restaurant to check. Without giving any details the man who answered told me "too far, too far". I asked him what he meant and he lied and said he called my wife and she answered and he told her that it was too far for them to deliver. I'm not mad that it's too far for them to deliver, I'm mad that they took the order and then never notified us that they weren't going to deliver. My advice is to order at your own risk as there's a good chance you'll still be hungry waiting for your food. read more

Recently became pescatarian so we typically order the honey shrimp combo plate which also includes chow mein and fried rice. In my opinion, the fried rice tastes stale and is a bit too crunchy for my liking. The chow mein has minimal cabbage, however, the texture is just right. Our favorite is the shrimp. ** Note: I began this review the night we ordered this take out with delivery via the Yelp app which was 2 months ago. First time maiden voyage eating this joints food. First time eating this joints food while utilizing the new feature on my pre-historic iPhone 4's App and the "Take-Out Delivery" option utilizing Yelps new "delivery take-out" feature which was recently added to it. I'm sold! Really really blissfully happy. So is my husband Miguel O. and that's saying a lot. We don't eat out very much so when we do I'm rather selective with what and where we dine. McDonald's doesn't count as I love McDonald's and Ronnie is always a safe bet in a pinch. Plus I eat low-carb and/or as low carb as I can find especially when eating away from home. Tonight after a long ass day spent hunched over paperwork which had drained me completely I had forgotten about dinner when my hubbs reminded me it was time to eat & offered to treat for dinner and delivery none the less. It's at this point when I recalled seeing a new take out and delivery option on the Yelp app so we gave it a whirl. It was amazingly easy, user friendly and our order was 100% correct! Instead launch the take out & delivery option and enter your address and pretend your ordering. When you do this their entire menu opens up right before your eyes. Spicy or mild food? Dietary restrictions? Low-sodium or vegetarian? The app also allows you an area for special requests when ordering each item. Loved this! The app lets you select options for each dish ordered and we utilized the spicy level from mild to flaming and the flaming is amazingly hot & delicious! We amped up the heat and went for butt burnin spicy hot on all our dishes and they delivered on that request. In the end when your all done building your order you can select to pay cash at the door or pre enter your credit card. Building in the tip is also an available feature in the credit card choice for those who don't carry cash on hand. LOVED this built in tip option; just sayin... We ordered Mongolian Beef, Sweet & Sour Pork, deep fried prawns and vegetable stir fry sans the rice and noodles. All 4 dishes were cooked to perfection and their flavors distinct from each other unlike some places where all the dishes taste the same. Super fresh ingredients and more than ample servings for each dish left us with leftovers which were delicious reheated the next day. Pricing was very reasonable and I'm a thrifty creature by nature... Orange chicken 3stars- crispy and overlay of sauce on it was a lot and taste of oil in your mouth (not good combination Mongolian beef 2 stars- the flavor had an off taste and look gooey. I personally didn't like the taste. Beef tasted different and off. Beef and broccoli 5 stars- I can say this was the best of my order. Crisp and crunchy broccoli and beef cooked well. Perfect! SERVICE: friendly and helpful cashier girl. TIME OF WAIT: 15minutes OVERALL- they gave big portions and cheaper prices than other places. Spend $30 for the whole order. Definitely not satisfied. My first impression was not so good with an unappealing location and decor, but more so because of flies buzzing around inside and then being handed a laminated menu that needed cleaning; but I decided to live dangerously and take my chances. It seemed a popular place with several tables occupied and other people coming in to pick up takeout orders; and didn't take too long to place my order or for the food to arrive. Portions were generous and prices reasonable. I thought their fried rice and noodles were rather bland, but Roger thought their food was yum and liked that their sweet & sour sauce had some tang, and their batter on the chicken was crunchy. This place is a tiny hole in the wall with a pickup window and nothing else. The front of the restaurant is blocked off with a wall that looks like it was made out of tin foil and emergency blankets. The service was fast, and the food was hot and abundant, but that's the best that can be said of it. I love this place! I order delivery frequently from here and all times but once it has been beyond delicious! Food arrives quicker than the estimated delivery time, it is hot and fresh! The delivery guy is also very nice. There has only been one instance where my go to order (salt & pepper fish combo plate) was extremely oily and bland. It was as if the cook forgot to season and drain the food. Maybe it was an off day or maybe a new cook? Either way, I decided to give them another chance and this time it was beyond exceptional. I have ordered takeout from here many times and always enjoyed it. Last night it was completely different than it's ever been. The salt and pepper wings and general tsao combo plate were both very different. The wings were no where as crispy as usual and the general tsao chicken was very bready and full of chopped veggies( love them but in this dish?). The chicken in the chicken chow mein was an odd color and texture and I was very nervous eating eat. I should have followed my instincts and thrown it all away. I spent the better part of the night sick throwing up everything I ate. Granted the delivery was quick service for sure. Fifty bucks out the window as I don't dare eat the things I didn't last night. NEVER AGAIN! Went from delicious to literally illness inducing. Not sure of the ambience as I had delivery but does it matter. My husband and I have been going to this place off and on before it was this new name. Ever since the name change we have had sub par food. My husband went into this restaurant today on 7/20 and he said the smell that was in the restaurant smelled like rotten meat. He said it was so awful he told the main guy we have seen tons of times and he replies "Maybe it's the AC" and went back to his laptop computer. We will never go here ever again!!!! My husband can't stop saying how bad it smelt. Guy from Cathay Express private messaged me and said thank you for not coming back. We were regulars and instead of a sorry we fixed the problem hope you try us again we get a go spend your money somewhere else. Fine with me there food started sucking anyway.
