    Cappuccino & savory foldover
    Andie R.

We enjoyed our experience at Cathedral Coffee as we were exploring N Portland a few weeks ago. I ordered a cappuccino, which was delightfully smooth. So smooth, in fact, this "takes her cream and sweet with some coffee" had mine sans sweetener and did not miss it one bit! I ordered a savory foldover that was packed with flavor. The space was comfortable and welcoming with cool wooden tables and seating. The seats were a little tall for my short legs, but I was comfortable enough for the time we were there. Service was friendly and prompt. I look forward to trying the Coffee Colada in the future!

Cool coffee shop with smooth, tasty coffee. I got a cold brew which had zero bitterness (that's a win for me!). Parking was easy, service was patient and friendly, and the space felt inviting. I also got a spinach and feta cheese foldover and bacon, cheese, and egg foldover. They were okay but really bread heavy. Would be better if they packed more fillings. Overall a pleasant pit stop on the way to Sauvie Island.

Cathedral is a a good choice in the neighborhood. We love the open air concept. There's cozy room inside, or great tables outside. We got our orders in quickly. The coffee was pretty good, it was definitely a darker roast than I was expecting, but the flavors were pleasant. Nice location, good service, good coffee

Lots of great places to sit and work and outdoor seating choices. Ordered an iced vanilla latte which was average. The bakery items looked really good will have to try next time.

Cathedral is a delightful coffee shop roasting their own beans, serving delicious food, and crafting quality drinks. It's definitely a locals spot which was nice, because there was open seating during the week to relax, escape the rain, and enjoy a cup of coffee. I ordered the cortado while my husband had an iced vanilla latte with almond milk. They had a steady stream of customers to keep them busy and I can see why. The drinks were very nicely made, had a smooth taste, not bitter going down, and not overly sweet on the latte.

My partner and I were visiting the area for our anniversary and came to this coffee shop every day! The coffee is by far the best in the area and the inside is so cozy and cute. Our baristas were so nice and made us the best drinks! We will definitely come back when we're back in town. 10/10 recc

I was visiting Portland and decided to try Cathedral Coffee as it was in the area of the disc golf course my boyfriend was playing. It's located in a cute neighborhood and has ample parking. There is a cute patio area for when the weather is nice and plenty of seating inside. Upon entering, there was a line that was moving at a pretty steady pace, but while I was waiting for my drink it never seemed to end, so this is a pretty popular spot! I am extremely picky with Chai lattes as they are often either really watery and/or lacking in spice. After reading a lot of positive reviews for the Chai here, I decided to give it a try. The barista described it as a spicy, but still sweet Chai, which I feel was spot on. It has the creamy subtle sweetness that I look for in a good Chai latte, while still delivering on the warming spices. I didn't try any of the pastries, although they all looked delicious! This is a super cute coffee shop that is perfect for remote work or just a casual meetup. If you are in the area, definitely give it a try!

If I still lived in Portland, I would move to St. John's for this coffee shop! It's so special. The coffee is some of the best in Portland, and the staff here are so friendly and thoughtful! Miraculously, there is always seating available, and it's so cute and cozy! They have both outdoor and indoor seating areas. Plenty of outlets for working too. This place reminds me of what Portland felt like when I moved here 10 years ago, and it makes me so happy. :)

The extremely cozy and twee interior is lowkey worth it alone. But staff was super nice and coffee great! Fairly convienant if traveling by trimet, with bus stops right in front of the shop. A bit out of the way if you're coming from downtown but worth it

Just moved to North Portland and this coffee shop has exceptionally good espresso and a super friendly staff near University of Portland.

Good coffee and everyone there is friendly. And they have a cute little nook that has a library full of books. Comfy place to read.

We stopped in here after playing a round at the Wonderwood Mini Golf. It had been hot and cramped and we really needed a drink. The door was being held open by a line of people and usually that is a great sign. Being busy is awesome for the business and I am glad they are so popular. It was a weekday, probably around 11 am and there were just so many people in line. It was really cute inside but SO chaotic. There were tons of kids screaming and at times it was difficult to tell where the line really was. After about 5 minutes of the line not moving, I started to get a slight headache from the noise and we agreed we would have to go somewhere else. It was probably for the best as all the indoor and outdoor seating was full so there would have been nowhere for us to eat even if we had braved the line. I think when a business reaches this level of popularity, it's important to put systems in place to keep patrons from feeling crowded and overwhelmed and it's definitely something they might want to look into in the future.
