It can be a cozy lounge by the firepit and it can also be that clubby vibe if you catch the DJ on a weekend night spinning some absolute bangers. The food was actually delicious. I had the Ahi Tuna tostada that was VERY pricy but it had a ton of flavor and the amount of fish was very generous. The molcajete salsa and chips was bomb. It's not super shareable and the servings are pretty small. You're going to drop a lot of cash here if you come on an empty stomach. I really liked their Sandia drink. It was flavorful and made with fresh ingredients with decent quality alcohol. The amount of actually good tequilas and mezcals they had was impressive. I suggest doing your research than paying for their flights. Anyway, during the holiday they decorate really cute and have a fun photobooth outside by the elevator that's around $6 for a cute little spot to make memories. PS... Cavaña was impressive! If you want to impress a date take him or her to salsa Sundays at Cavana it's awesome! They have a live salsa band that plays from 5pm to 8pm on Sundays and the rooftop views while you are cutting a rug and drinking a modelo are amazing. You can see the ball park and the bay bridge so clearly. I can only imagine how it would look like during a giants game. The service was great those trendy ladies that work there are the sweetest. We had the chicken Cesar salad and the chicken skewers. Those chicken skewers were so good I almost ate the Woden sticks. I was impressed by everything there. They even have a cool elevator that takes you right to the 17th floor roof. It really caters to everyone. If you want to party here loud music and dance head to the west side of the restaurant if you want a quiet chill spot overlooking the bridge and the ballpark you head can head to the east side of the restaurant and there are 2 bars to choose from. We went to their Nochebuena pop up and it was super cute! The Christmas decorations are definitely something you should check out. They have a Photo Booth when you step out of the elevator to your left. It does get pretty busy later in the night so I recommend going in there as early as possible. Walk-ins are usually available, but you might not get a table, so I highly recommend reservations to properly enjoy the experience, especially on a weekend. On Friday and Saturday nights, the music is louder and it can get quite packed. The cocktails are fantastic. All are $19. My favorites (in descending order) include: KIWI - mezcal espadin, singani, kiwi fresca, hoja santa, lime, milk clarified, served on a large clear rock in a thin glass. Crisp, spirit forward, but refreshing. The clarification allows the acidity to shine without any tart or sour notes, resulting in a very smooth, well balanced cocktail. My favorite by far. TAMARINDO - venezuelan rum, clarified tamarind, seville orange apéritif, amaro. Spirit-forward and bittersweet but balanced BANANO - venezuelan rum, banana milk, px sherry, coffee liqueur, cold brew float. Served with crushed ice in tall glass. Delicious and creamy, good as a closing drink. ELOTE - roasted corn infused reposado tequila, red vermouth, oaxacan pasilla chile liqueur. Drinks like a tequila manhattan with a kick. Strong and spirit forward. OAXACAN OLD FASHIONED - reposado tequila, mezcal espadín, ancho demerara, mole bitters, flamed orange. Pretty standard mezcal/tequila split old fashioned, but well executed and reliable. The food is also solid, although a bit pricey for what you get. The items we got last time include: SALSA MOCAJETE ($9) - charred tomato, chiles, barrio spiced chips. A nice snack when the guacamole is too extra. GUACAMOLE ($18) - brokaw avocados, pico de gallo, pepitas, queso cotija, herbs. Solid. CARNITAS TACOS ($19/3pc) - puebla-style carnitas, tomatillo salsa, chopped onion, cilantro, radish. What a beautiful spot I made a reservation for our anniversary and the hostess,Kitty, did not disappoint us at all! We were early but got seated right away in a lovely table on their patio with heat lamp on top and fire pit on our table which felt really nice on a windy day :) They surprised us with sparkling wine for our anniversary too... Thank you I tried Guayaba and Tamarino which were nice. Not too strong but had good flavor. We ordered so many small plates which satisfied us. Yucca fries were very good, soft and chewy. Came here for an after party drink venue. It was cute place. Located up at the top of a hotel next to the Giants stadium. It was so pretty to see at night with all the holiday lights. The inside was festive, ready for Christmas. They had a Dj playing some good beats. everyone kept saying it was a slower night since we were still in the holiday season. It seemed fine for me. it gave a "Vibe lounge" and that seemed great. There are seats by the DJ that are first come first serve. There are actual seats in the back where I am guessing is the restaurant area. There is also outside seating everywhere, with heat lamps so you aren't too cold in the SF city nights. First off, shoutout to Fernando for the impeccable service this past Sunday for brunch. He made great recommendations and had great conversation with us. I have been here twice in the past month and he helped us both times. He mentioned that Sunday they have salsa dancing starting at 5pm which I have to come back for and happy hour M-F 4-6pm. The ambiance is on point, I love it! This is the type of place you take people you want to impress and to have good food and drinks. The rooftop views are unmatched with views of the city and the port. The Photo Booth before you leave is a nice touch as well. The restaurant is inside the Luma hotel which you check in outside and they let you up on an elevator. We parked at the parking lot across the way and it was an easy short walk Food/drinks: -Tacos de Alambre 1000/5 Ribeye, pork belly, sweet peppers, Oaxaca cheese topped with an egg and arugula on a skillet. This is the main reason I came back the second time, I had to bring my husband and bless his belly. One of the best tacos I have ever had and I've had a lot. Can't beat the handmade tortillas either. The first time it came with an amazing salsa macha but not the second time and honestly it doesn't even need it. This dish is perfect the way it is. -Papas Sucias 5/5 Crispy potatoes, chorizo, queso pimiento, and a fried egg. The staff were very friendly from the moment we walked in and we had a great bartender. We all ordered the lady of guava-lupe drinks which were delicious. Not sure how you have a restaurant with no parking! We drove an hour into the city from our hotel in San Ramon and were willing to pay the $45 valet fee but it was a game day unbeknownst to us. When we got there for a reservation the valet turned us away and said we would have to try to find street parking. I haven't tried the food here as I went around 10pm, so I'm not sure if the kitchen is open that late. Cocktaila are the big draw and they are really delicious. I haven't had a bad one or even a mediocre one yet. I would hope so because each drink is around $20. Every time I have come, the music has been blasting and it's actually busy. You always manage to find some standing room but people are starting to dance, lots of energy, and quick enough bar service that you can float around vibing. I haven't stayed late enough to see if a real dance party breaks out but it definitely feels like it would and could at any moment. Overall, this is my one go-to spot if I want to meet a friend for a nightcap or you don't want your evening to end. Go up the elevator by the hotel valet. We came to Cavana after the 49ers game for dinner and drinks. We had a reservation for six people, yet we were seated at a high-top table meant for only two. We made it work anyway and ended up spending over $250 on food and drinks. After most of our group left, my friend and I stayed to have a couple more drinks. That's when a hostess named Claire approached us and said she had a reservation for our table and that we needed to move. We calmly explained that we already had a reservation and were just finishing our drinks. She first offered to move us to the bar, but the bar was extremely crowded with no available seating, so we declined. She then asked if one person could sit with us, which we agreed to. Instead, she came back with two people who said they felt uncomfortable sitting with us. At that point, Claire told us we had to leave. We told her no -- we had not finished our drinks and had received no warning. She insisted we had been there over two hours, which was not true. She became rude and confrontational, making a scene in front of the entire restaurant. We also asked another staff member directly, and they confirmed that guests are supposed to receive a 30-minute warning before their two-hour limit, and we were given zero warning. Meanwhile, there were multiple tables that had clearly been there longer than us, yet we were the only ones being targeted. The two guests she was trying to seat even joined in and told us we had to leave, which made the situation humiliating and intimidating. When we asked to speak with the manager, it got even worse. While we were explaining what happened, Claire came over and leaned on my friend's chair to listen in on our private conversation with the manager, which was extremely unprofessional and intimidating. The manager had to tell her to leave and stop interfering. Even after all of this, the manager brushed off the situation with no real accountability. The way we were singled out, publicly embarrassed, and pressured out -- while others were left alone -- made us feel racially profiled and targeted.
