My suggestion for the owner of this Cava, shut down and try again at a later date. The staff was horrendous, no customer service, common areas and food assembly line was filthy. The staff was talking to each other out loud about how their food has been tasting nasty lately AS I WAS CHECKING OUT WITH THE FOOD I JUST ORDERED! Get new stuff that actually cares about a job and the standards that need to be met in food service! I was excited about this location opening 7 minutes from my house, but after today I will be driving an extra 10 minutes to the Whitestone location it's 100 times better in all aspects of a food service business! Check out this saffron rice picture I post..it had 0 flavor which you can tell by the color and the way it looks. Lack of training or the staff just doesn't give a crap, either way it's a current recipe for closure or failure. Cava is better then this! read more

I was wondering what was going to replace the Zoe's, and it was really surprising to see Cava when I'd recently heard about it from a neighbor's out-of-town friend when we were discussing Chipotle-esque places. I told myself I'd pop by for a try because after having Mediterranean food for the first time at work, I was pretty interested but didn't know where to go locally to get the good stuff. While I wasn't necessarily disappointed by the food, it didn't blow me away either. I had thought saffron rice was usually on the yellow side, and this was pretty light. Portion of rice was good, but like my main complaint with dining in at Chipotle, it wasn't exactly warm. I was a little thrown off at the consistency of the harissa dip, but still appreciated it. Got the harissa vinaigrette and lemon tahini dressing and thought they mixed well together. While I was ordering, I wasn't sure if my guy was distracted or didn't hear me, but I had to repeat what I wanted for dips and protein a few times, and then he just abruptly passed my food over to the toppings section and walked away to deal with someone that came to the checkout section to ask for more pita bread. Another employee helped finish it up and checked me out, but I feel like the customer service has some room for improvement. You know how sometimes you'll go somewhere to eat, and the person helping you asks if you've been there before? I think that could help a ton here! Even though their signage is decent at walking you through the process, it'd be nice to have more guidance as a newbie. May check them out again in a month or so to see if anything's changed. read more

The good - excellent for what this is. Food was great and portion was on point. I really appreciated the harissa vinaigrette. Regular grilled chicken was very good as well. The bad - service is not on point. It's basically a Chipotle set-up and it takes them way too long to scoop stuff into a bowl. Restaurant was not clean. I came towards the end of the lunch rush and an employee was wiping down tables with her gloved hand. She basically just knocked crumbs onto the floor. She did not actually clean anything. Common areas were not clean either. Hopefully, with some time, they will get the kinks worked out and this will be a fast and excellent place for lunch. read more

Nice place to get healthy fast food. It's overpriced for the portions but still the best option for a healthy meal on the run. They were obviously training a new employee who was utterly lost and slowed them way down which made for a long line. It has been a while since I've been able to find a good Mediterranean food place. This is like subway/chipotle meets Mediterranean food. You have several options to choose from, and I didn't see anything that sounded bad. They'll let you customize their choices and you can order ahead for pickup. I agree with the other reviews. Service was absolutely terrible. The girl piled our food up at the register and the pita chips they sold me were in direct contact with the payment surface. I asked for a tray to carry everything to a table but never got one. Falafel wasn't very good but the roasted eggplant was definitely the best thing in the whole bowl. read more

Tati was so rude for no reason. I had placed an order through the app, and it charged my card twice, but gave me no confirmation. I proved to her that it charged my card, and I only brought up one of the charges because it wasn't that big of a deal. I'm pregnant and I'm hungry. She was rolling her eyes at me the whole time, being so incredibly slow on purpose and giving me so much attitude. Not only that, but when it came to the sauce, one little squirt came out, and she put the lid on top of it instead of actually giving me a reasonable amount. Food is great here and better then a fast food option. The Harissa chicken bowl is a must try.

My wife and I just left this location without eating anything. We stood at the counter for almost 4 minutes without anybody acknowledging us. Every employee simply ignored us, as if we were invisible. They were NOT busy. We were the only ones in line. At one point one of the employees looked at us and sighed then told another employee she was supposed to be getting off. One employee came out from behind the counter, got themselves a fountain drink and returned to the back. Nobody ever acknowledged us and said "we will be with you in a minute." That was all we were looking for. I finally asked for the manager. It took a few but she came out and was very nice. We explained the lack of appreciation we felt for the fact we were going to spend our hard earned money to eat at their business. Instead, the lack of customer service caused us to leave without eating. We went to a nearby place to eat. The manager offered to make is a free meal, but that was not the point. These employees simply appeared as if they did not want to be there. They appeared as if they do not appreciate their job and, if that is the case, probably should not have one. This is. It the first time I have had poor service at this location but it will be the last. I will NEVER go back. Spend your money where employees are happy and you feel appreciated as a customer! read more

The food is always great here, but today, I decided to write a review after experiencing the best customer service I have ever had at "fast food" restaurant. At the Georgetown, TX location, I think the employee's name was Maljula, the service went above and beyond. All employees were nice, but this particular employee made sure to bring me my drink once they refilled one of their most delicious cucumber mint juices that was empty when I arrived. She even came by to check to make sure I was happy with my beverage after she had delivered my drink, and voluntarily asked to take the empty tray and bowls from our table, much like a full-service restaurant. Right when I entered cava the 3 employees up front all greeted me and my wife with outstanding customer service. Pancho made our food very neatly and fast! I thought I ordered at a jimmy johns or something. Pancho also kept a conversation the whole time while making out food. Des checked us out and also had great customer service but another thing I noticed was her walking Hernan through on how to properly make the food and what goes on what. They both had good teamwork on the food line and kept the customers satisfied. They were all good workers and all deserve a FAT raise!! read more

I love CAVA and have been to several locations in the Austin area. This location may have some growing to do. We ordered online and one of the bowls was less than half full. The second bowl did not include the sauce requested. Neither of us received the sides of pita bread. Mine was also cold. For $11 per bowl, you expect more. Of all the quick places my husband and I like to grab a bite, Cava is hands down our favorite. The food has a unique and delicious flavor that keeps us coming back. and it's especially nice that it's healthy and lots of gluten free options. We were happy to find there is a Cava in Georgetown as we often drive back and forth from Austin to Temple and now have an option for a quick to pick up healthy meal.
