Found a larva in my bowl I have seen repeated sanitation issues at this Cava. Staff talk over the food with actual spit landing in the containers, they put items that fell on the counter back into the containers, and the trash is always overfilled. I kept overlooking it because there are not many healthy options in this plaza. But finding a giant larva today is absolutely the last straw.

First time visiting this spot and I found the food very tasty. I ordered a bowl with roasted vegetables, rice, kale and topped with a garlic dressing. The ingredients were fresh but the portion sizes were a bit smaller than expected. The food is prepared at different stations allowing you to customize your bowl. There are an array of toppings from mild to spicy. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which, I appreciated.

Cava has always been good to me. I never really had a bad experience here. Everything tastes super fresh and flavorful. I love eating here because of how nutritionally dense their meal is. You get your protein, carbs, veggies, and the fat from natural sources like yogurt and chickpeas. I got the basmati rice and lentils with chicken. At the time that I went, there seemed to be a rush before and they ran out of a lot of the proteins including chicken and steak. They notified me of a little wait time which I was fine with. At the end, they gave me a drink on the house for the inconvenience. They also packed my bowl which allowed me to have some leftovers the next day. Super considerate employees! This place is my new favorite place to get cava. I've always been satisfied with my experience.

Stopped by CAVA for lunch and even though it was pretty busy, the wait times weren't bad at all. Food (4/5): I ordered the garlicky chicken shawarma in a pita wrap. Flavor was great and everything was customizable, much like Chipotle but with a Mediterranean twist. One tip: if you're getting the pita wrap to go, I'd recommend having the sauces on the side--it can get pretty messy. I enjoyed it thoroughly, though I'd probably eat in next time. Ambiance (4/5): Clean, modern, and very much a fast-casual vibe. It's a nice spot, but parking can be tricky since it's right next to Panda Express and other popular lunch options. Service (4/5): Staff was friendly and helpful, keeping things moving quickly despite the lunch rush. Overall: Solid lunch option--fresh, tasty, and customizable. I'd definitely come back.

I have come to this Cava many times because of its convenient location, but my experience is always hit or miss. I either walk out very satisfied or unsatisfied. I have had experiences where the staff are very friendly and welcoming. However, other times they are not welcoming at all and the customer service is below average. This day the service was not the best unfortunately . They were also running low or completely out of some toppings in the afternoon, which was disappointing. The portions were a bit small as well. Everything tasted great though. Also, the cashier was very kind and helpful, which was nice! I love Cava, so I will definitely be returning, but it's just disappointing at times.

This location replaced Ian's favorite Pizza place when he was growing up. Darn... I got a bowl to go. Portions size was not in line with the price that was charged. I was starving after this bowl. (-2) They were out of Chicken during my visit. (-1) Employees were very detail in explaining that they were out of Chicken, how the system works, etc. (+1) Good customer service, expensive food. I wanted to try this chain, and I did. Just on the price alone, I would not be returning. Sorry.

Cava has been our favorite go to meal for awhile now but as good as the meal already is, it is so much better when you get the toasted pita chips to eat alongside it! The staff here was patient and able to answer any questions we had. We really enjoyed our dinner here and we will definitely be back !

The employee was really friendly and upbeat, just like the one in Fullerton. She also reminded me about the upcharge for the braised lamb, which is always a kind gesture. The canned water is also great, and I would choose Cava over other fast food and fast casual dining options. The sauces taste just right, a bit tart, and even though I usually don't like food when it's too saucy, I couldn't go without the red pepper hummus and the green stuff. There wasn't much of a line, but I'm sure it gets packed! It looks and feels very clean, so I'm glad they opened last November. I haven't tried any of their drinks yet, but plan to in the near future.

Stopped by on a weekday for a late lunch and it was super busy but so goooood! It did take long to get my food, could be because of the lunch rush but also because it's a new place still trying establish an efficient flow of service. Servers were friendly but definitely stressed due to the crowd, I felt bad. It was difficult to see what the choices were for building your own bowl because they are on the windows separating us from the food and in tiny font. You couldn't see the options until you were already supposed to order so that maybe could've been why the line was getting backed up too. I ended up building my own bowl and here were some of the highlights. -Grilled Chicken: Super flavorful and was good on its own, sauce not necessary! 5/5 -Harissa Dip: It's pretty spicy but very tasty! Kind of tastes like sun dried tomatoes but with a peppery kick. 4/5 -Schug: I wasn't a huge fan of this, too much parsley flavor. I like Luna Grill's better. 2/5 -Pita Chip strips: These added a nice crunch to the soft ingredients of the bowl! 4/5 In regard to presentation... -I do wish they gave more of the dips and put them on the side because they get lost under all the ingredients and get mixed in. You can't really dip pita bread in it. -It's always great having options but it's a little overwhelming at this place! Too many ingredients, you start to get lost in all the various flavors and can't really identify what you're even eating anymore. I'd probably get less ingredients next time. -I had a hard time eating this because it overfilled with so many ingredients, it either spilled when I mixed it or I got too many of one ingredient in the bite because I couldn't mix it properly. Maybe that's a me problem though! Overall, I definitely understand the hype around this place. I really enjoyed my food, the flavors were great even if a bit overwhelming! I hope this new location and the company itself work out their kinks though because it's got so much potential.

My nephew invited me to try this mediterranean salad bar to hangout and it is much much better than Chipotle.. good quantity on the protein servings (got chicken) lots of different toppings you get 3 different sauces though it is a small scoop of sauce but it is 3 different scoop.. you get a free pita bread (a small one) but the salad is delish and on the healthy side. service is satisfactory despite of the other staff busy chit chatting.. ambiance is welcoming very spacious inside and good parking.. will definitely come back.

It took us about 30 minutes to get our food, even though the line was only 3 people. They were out of a protein and told us it would be 8 minutes. It was almost 15. The trash cans were overflowing and the soda machines were out. The main reason we went was for the Blueberry soda :/ The one in Anaheim Hills was always great, so coming here was a let down. Clearly they were understaffed. read more

Convenient location for me but based on portions they provide, it is just not worth it. The corporate office should post the portions customer should expect from the store. Highly inconsistent and less quantity compared to other locations such as Fullerton and Manhattan Beach. I have yet to see when all options are available ( they run out of something). Hope they improve so I can use the location. read more

Ordered to go. On line order said would be ready at 7:15. Got there at that time. There was zero people at the order line, but 6 people in front of me at the pick up line. Everyone was mad their order was late. We finally got ours at 7:45. At least they apologized and gave us complimentary drinks. Unfortunately, we realized they messed up our order after we brought it home. (It was a wrap, so we couldn't immediately see what was inside). read more

There are so many choices for your bowl. I appreciate that the offerings were nutrient dense and flavorful. Unfortunately the garlic dip was out of stock that Thursday. It seems a bit strange that they were out of dip, but it must be popular because almost everyone in my party wanted it. I put in a big order for 11 people and the app gave me a estimate of 20 minutes. I had my doubts that the order would be finished so quickly, but surprisingly it might have been just a few minutes after the given estimate when I got confirmation that my order was ready. Their speed impressed me. This tells me they have a pretty good process for receiving online orders and not neglecting the online orders while trying to care for the in-person customers. We went in the store to pick up. I didn't notice the ambiance too much, but when we entered the restaurant a worker changing out the garbage bags greeted us, so I like that kind of friendly gesture. The woman handling the front was busy with a customer at the time, but even she took the time out to acknowledge me and the fact that I was there to pick up an order. 5 stars for their employees! read more

Had an order placed for pick up, waited an additional 20 mins after the scheduled pick up time. They also ran out of tiziki and hummus and then vinegarette. Does not seem Mediterranean without those. The line to order inside went faster than pre ordering pick up. It was also such a small bowl for the salad. I won't be back. The packaging presentation for to go orders looks sloppy unappealing. Food is mediocre at best. Not a flavor explosion you typically get with Mediterranean food especially when you run out or don't have key ingredients. Not a good experience not worth the hassle. read more

I am a loyal Cava customer and I have to say this location is not it. I've ordered online and in person several times and there's always an issue. They are either missing toppings or just omit them from the pick up orders. I think the staff need retraining because this is not the Cava standard I am used to. read more

Food is good. Service is bad. Not enough staff and staff they do have standing around talking to each other while 20 people waiting in line. Stood second in line waiting 30 mins to be helped. Employees are nice and friendly but not working efficiently. Go to a different cava. This one needs to hire a new manager. read more

I was not confused to a stupor that left me angry and frustrated, I was left more dazed with swirling lilies around my mind, like I had been hit hard with the staff of a fairy who pays the bills of the forest as an interior designer. The place has a design concept that takes two opposing forces and blends them into a restaurant concept: health forward food for O.G.'s and their like and crew, all while being a love letter to the streets of Los Angeles, the gritty streets, not the ones next to Rodeo. For instance, Cruz, one of the staff members, was wearing a "Straight out of Whittier" shirt that was clear nod to the movie straight out of Compton that was all about the rap and its consequence on West LA homeboy culture. The central mural of the joint showed low-riders, the LA symbol made with finger angles, and graffiti galore. Again, the message was clear this is a health cafe for Tupac and his friends and followers. These two principal ingredients mixing together (health food and LA street culture) at least in my mind, are more the subject for improv comedy than a sensible restaurant concept. I know people can mix what ever they want together, I know that there is choice when people color and dress, but this motif seemed like it was mixing Ninja culture with a dog grooming service. The concept can work, I see a ninja de-worming a golden retriever with swift skill but this concept also seems forced rather than flowing with common sense. So for a health cafe in LA I see Cher from Clueless, or Barbie, being more easily applied to the concept.But what do I know perhaps in a few months will have a Hell's Angel's tea experience that will not be dainty but rather hard like a helmet and it might be the concept that begins a revolution that ends with Hair Salons with Viking culture at its decoration theme. The (health) food in itself was a blessing. My friend Bailey is the healthy eater of the two of us! She got a simple green salad with tofu. I sampled a forkful. My hand had to dig in hard, with its fork, to retrieve the lettuce, the carrot, and some of the pickle, I avoided the tofu. The greens were fresh, and tasted clean in their simple flavors, but what elevated the green forkful to excellence in taste was the sweet mustard dressing. The green had dressing that turned solid greens to yummy ones! I ordered the shrimp tostada. Cruz, came to the table and explained that my plate was Keto friendly, which meant that it was good food for those who were experiencing life as a pre-diabetic, for example. What I loved about this place and its food, was that I did not feel like I was eating healthy and had to sacrifice pleasure in the name of honoring my health goals. Quite the contrary, the food was just plain good food, and for me, eating good clean food, is a fantastic way to keep my health goals on track. Apparently the tortilla was made out of cactus, and that is a why where the healthy stays in tact, while still being food that is satisfying, and, yummy! I would go here again, especially when my health goals are in full swing. This place will facilitate the process because the food was truly good!

Where I live, I usually went to the Cava in Whittier about 15-20 mins away. When I saw they were opening a location about 5 mins down the street in the local shopping center I was pretty happy as my first/most recent experiences with the Whittier Cava were great! This Cava has also treated me well so far after a couple visits. The staff has been friendly for the most part, specifically one of their (I think) managers, Jose, was super friendly on my last visit, cracking a good joke and giving me a complimentary drink when I ended up changing my mind after ordering and paying! Leanne and Merida helped prepare the food that day for me and my girlfriend, and both of us were happy with how our bowls came out! The food tasted fresh, the service was good and quick, and the portions were nice--though I will say the portions at this location have been hit or miss; the Whittier location is always thorough with their portions! This location doesn't seem to be super busy that often the couple times I've been--and maybe that's simply due to when I happen to drop by--I'm guessing because it's new or people already have their favored Cava location, so this one isn't as staffed or streamlined as the Whittier one (the Whittier location is my only other Cava reference so far), but I think with a bit of time to get more people coming in, they'll staff a bit more and the quality control mentioned in a couple other reviews will improve to a level that's consistent with their other locations. Overall, my experience over several visits was pretty nice and I'll definitely be back often because of the close location, good service, and of course the delicious food! read more

I visited the new Cava on 11/10/2024 with my wife and daughter, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The portion sizes were quite small--even smaller than what we usually get at Chipotle. The real issue, though, happened at the cash register. After we paid, I noticed that the cashier had a bleeding finger, which had gotten onto my food container and the counter. I pointed it out and asked for a new order, but instead of resolving the issue, he told us we'd have to go back in line to reorder. This felt both unprofessional and unhygienic. We ended up leaving and going to a different restaurant. Later, I tried calling Cava to speak to a manager about a refund, but despite calling multiple times, no one picked up. Cleanliness and customer service don't seem to be priorities here, which is really disappointing. read more

Despite long lines and some pretty rude customers, the team at this CAVA absolutely crushed it. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and the staff handled the rush with professionalism, patience, and a great attitude. A huge shoutout to Cam, who went above and beyond. She took the time to recommend options and made sure my Steak & Harissa bowl came out perfect. Came in on today on Friday 04/04/25 around 2pm. First time customer and my first time leaving a review. I was told by friends that it gets really busy at lunch but I had gone after lunch so it wasn't too busy, which was great! Tried their lentils, it was super tasty. I will say one of the employees did not leave a good impression on me. She was white and had a hair wrap thing, she was the one on the first station. It wasn't professional of her to scream out very loud to the cook about the lentils being almost empty. Overall, the food was delicious. Variety of selections. I'm not sure why anyone gets Chipotle anymore. I think the best part about this Cava location is that they have such friendly staff members. It can get overwhelming for them because it gets busy at times but they always have a smile on their face. Even when the customers are being difficult (which I've seen), they always respond with patience and respect. I went today and I think his name was Jose- had such positive energy and was just so kind! They are super generous with their portions which makes the price definitely worth it. Welp never mind. Went again, ordered a bowl and i only got one half spoon scoop of meat, usually they will give two scoops. when I said something the girl preparing my bowl said we don't do that and said I'd have to pay extra. She rolled her eyes at me too, felt super embarrassed. I was close to just walking out but I only have a 30 min lunch and I had already spent 10 of it in line.
