This is the most poorly ran and operated restaurant I have ever been in. It's absolutely abysmal. Food never tastes fresh and bowls are always made wrong. If you place an order for 1pm pickup, you'll be lucky if you get it before 1:30pm. And don't even think about asking the staff about the status of your order cause they are so rude. I love CAVA, but this location is not it. I've been to the Westwood and Pasadena locations, and I've never received the lack of customer service I ALWAYS get at this location. I've been here a lot and not once was the customer service slightly pleasant. All the employees I've encountered are either rude or look like they hate their life. It's just uncomfortable. The location is clean and the food is generally consistently good, but I wish I lived closer to the other CAVA locations. read more

I've never eaten at a Cava before but this was good healthy and quick dinner before a movie. We shared a bowl which came with a variety of toppings. We started with the chicken bowl as the base and then got some extra toppings on top of the premade one. Also asked for a side pita. They didn't give a large pita but it was enough. We went on a Saturday afternoon and the staff was disrepectful and rude. I ordered one kids meal and a regular bowl. The portions were small, compared to other locations. When I asked for a kids-sized bowl, the person who helped us gave us a snarky look because my child looked like they can eat an adult meal. Then, the same person limited portions of my bowl to exactly that of the kids-sized bowl. When I paid for the two bowls, the person managing the register had the two bowls closer to them and not to me. I waited a few seconds for the person to push the two bowls over to me, but they didn't. So I had to reach over to get my two bowls while the cashier was watching me do it. I will never go back to this location. The staff at the El Segundo have been consistently friendly and helpful. read more

I couldn't understand why there was such a low rating on the app because I've had Cava many time and enjoy it, but now I get it. Apparently this is a common practice. Great place to get a healthy meal while shopping at the Century City Mall. Cava served pitas and bowls and you can select curated meals or create your own. We opted to create our own bowls and they were awesome! The vegetables are fresh, there are options for vegetarians and vegans and the bowls were bursting with flavors. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the options here. The workers were very helpful since this was the first time we ate at this establishment. There are about six or seven tables inside to eat comfortably, we opted to sit at the counter in front of the window and had a great time here. Highly recommended! read more

I generally love Cava, but the experience I just had at this location was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. After waiting in line without any greeting or acknowledgement, a young black female worker with a head scarf aggressively yelled "Are you guys listening??" She was announcing what items they had run out of for the afternoon with an impatient, annoyed attitude. As we very slowly moved down the line, she proceeded to put her pointer finger in my face as she was asking if the bowl in front of her was mine. I told her to please not point her finger in my face and then she abruptly left the line mid service and disappeared for the rest of the time we were there. When we were near the register, a middle aged Latin man with tight grey curls and a mask was checking us out and between each sentence he was hocking mucus loudly in his throat. My partner and I both looked at each other with shock. It was so loud and disturbing, but we were paying and just wanted to leave the store. I don't often experience such unprofessional, disappointing encounters with staff, so unfortunately, I will be skipping Cava in the future and choosing a more reliable option. read more

Second time to the CAVA in hopes it would get better, and I am still very disappointed. Both times I went, I got their Greek Salad bowl; they didn't know what was on it, had to look it up, and put the wrong thing on anyway. That bothers me a lot because that's one of their staple salads. The line moved slowly, adding to the frustration. While the interior is nicely designed, the overflowing trash cans just outside the restaurant detract from the overall ambiance, making the entrance uninviting. The food itself was average; nothing stood out as particularly impressive. Given the numerous dining options available at Westfield Century City, I'm uncertain if I'll return to CAVA in the near future. read more

The newest Cava location just opened up in LA! Disclaimer: I went for one of their opening events so my entree was free. The location itself is very clean, airy, and well-decorated, and it has a nice outdoor space with tables for eating. However, since it's a new location and has a ton of demand, it appears that their staff is still in the process of getting trained so it might be slow for now. The food is standard Cava fare which is always great, but their skhug dressing tasted a little different. I hope after opening weekend it goes a bit more smoothly, and if I'm ever at the Century City mall I'd definitely be open to trying it again! read more

Been hearing about this place for months and everyone is saying that this place is better than chipotle, so I decided to give it a try myself. I would say that cava is very good, especially knowing that it is healthy. It was a little overwhelming because there were so many options to choose from and different variations to make your bowl. Thankfully, the person that was helping me gave me some insight and suggested things that they liked. But I got a bowl with extra rice, I think I got the spicy chicken with a steak and then some veggies and their sauces (sorry I'm writing this the next day and going off of what I remembered). I also got a side of pita chips with the garlic sauce. Overall, this place was pretty good however I don't think it's better than chipotle. But to be honest, these two are far different but have the same concept and I could see myself going back to cava once in a while. Came here on a Saturday around 6 PM. Seems like they are always understaffed as this happened to me once before too. They have like 4 employees working and no one is overseeing their online order station. They don't address you when you're obviously waiting for someone to help with an online pickup. When I asked about my order, the employee just looked at me, printed the ticket, and walked away. My order was promised for pick up at 6:15. I didn't get it until 6:30 and it was only because I had to ask an employee again if the bowl in the back was mine. Yikes. This Cava is one of the worst in the area of Los Angeles. I find it strange how the manager is talking and joking around with coworkers the whole time he was taking my order.. I also work in the food industry and have those moments but there's a time and a place, and the whole time you're speaking to a guest is not the time to do it. I think it's great they get along well, I actually enjoy to see that when I go places but bro got my order completely wrong because he quite literally didn't care about paying attention and giving the guest a good experience. Their assembly line for ordering is absolutely immature. They don't listen to what you are ordering, when they don't listen and you try to clarify they make it as if it is your fault. She rudely told my wife she had already ordered enough food and to proceed to checkout. My wife waited 30 minutes in line just to be treated like she was some sort of pest. The other servers didn't have a problem with my wife's order. Only this one rude power tripping individual. So you managers can determine who this jerk is, we ordered at 12:30 today. Century City location staff were by far the most rude and unprofessional staff ever. My group of three was met with confusion and rudeness, which made for an unpleasant visit. While placing our orders, I requested a small drink, but the cashier did not give me a cup. After paying, I asked again for the drink, and she responded with, "Did you want one?" even though I had already ordered it. I was confused thinking maybe she didn't put it in the order, not wanting to hold up the line further- I mentioned I would get back in the line and re order. Then she rolled her eyes , shook her head and made an unprofessional comment to the next customer. I addressed the situation directly with the cashier, who then handed me the cup, but the damage was already done. Her lack of clear communication and dismissive attitude was uncalled for, especially in front of other customers. This was a disappointing experience for both myself and my friend, who was visiting Cava for the first time. I hope you address these issues with your staff to improve service in the future. read more
