Their assembly line for ordering is absolutely immature. They don't listen to what you are ordering, when they don't listen and you try to clarify they make it as if it is your fault. Century City location staff were by far the most rude and unprofessional staff ever. My group of three was met with confusion and rudeness, which made for an unpleasant visit. While placing our orders, I requested a small drink, but the cashier did not give me a cup. After paying, I asked again for the drink, and she responded with, "Did you want one?" even though I had already ordered it. I was confused thinking maybe she didn't put it in the order, not wanting to hold up the line further- I mentioned I would get back in the line and re order. Then she rolled her eyes , shook her head and made an unprofessional comment to the next customer. I addressed the situation directly with the cashier, who then handed me the cup, but the damage was already done. Her lack of clear communication and dismissive attitude was uncalled for, especially in front of other customers. This was a disappointing experience for both myself and my friend, who was visiting Cava for the first time. I hope you address these issues with your staff to improve service in the future. read more

Food is ok but customer service is deplorable. The big african american who acted like she was in charge, wouldn't allow my wife to order a 5th bowl for our party of 5. She rudely told my wife she had already ordered enough food and to proceed to checkout. My wife waited 30 minutes in line just to be treated like she was some sort of pest. The other servers didn't have a problem with my wife's order. Only this one rude power tripping individual. So you managers can determine who this jerk is, we ordered at 12:30 today. We've ordered from here numerous times. I've tried the bowls, the wraps and the falafel. I tried once again to be disappointed. The first bite of chicken was tendons, crunch. The second bite had mushy weirdness. I spit it out. I opened it up, it was dripping wet and the bottom of the wrap was soggy, so I tore off that half of the bread. It was so very salty, again, even without the pickles and the olives. The pita is so thick that it hardly resembles pita bread. It has more of a Taco Bell Gordita feel to it. Their tzatziki is great, but not enough to warrant more than one star after 10 times of trying and not finding something I can go to for sustenance. read more

Food is always delicious! I ordered the salad and the serving of salad seemed lighter than normal. This location seems to be working out the kinks. Given the number of businesses in the area lunch at the mall during the week can be hectic. I ordered my food for pick up at 12:15 and walked in closer to 1. There was already 5 people standing waiting for pick up food and it weekend like there was no one dedicated to distributing take out orders so we had to either catch the attention of the guy working the register or a girl that was making the take out food. When I finally caught the attention of the register person he seemed flustered and looked for my order and did not find it. I stood there for another 10 minutes and stared at the bags of to go orders noticing my order was in fact there and had been there. He didn't look closely and missed it. I finally had to get the attention of the girl making the to go orders and she grabbed it for me. She was super nice but clearly busy. Seems like the store needs some extra hands while people are training or a manager to step in and notice when things don't appear yo be working. I recently got diagnosed with a serious gluten allergy and through a lot of research, I found out that Cava is a gluten friendly establishment. Unfortunately, this location seriously needs to work on their workers attitudes and information about allergies. I don't think they realize that not knowing how to handle serious allergens can truly get them in trouble, especially if I were to have a severe reaction. I came in calm and friendly, and the girl asked me what I would like. I made sure to let her know that I have a gluten allergy and she proceeded to look confuse as if she's never heard of a gluten allergy before ?! I'm sorry but I've worked food service jobs...not knowing this is a big no no especially with the health department !! She proceeded to try to read the list on the glass and I stood there confused until she named off items I couldn't have. I said okay ? Confusingly especially with the fact that she said items that I could have. She then proceeds to tell me that there's a list that I could look at if I need to know....I understand if you don't know what I can and can not eat, but you could've asked someone who was more knowledgeable in your staff. She proceeded to try to understand and she's like sorry what was your allergen ? Milk? WHAT?! I'm sorry but you mistake gluten for milk allergy ?! Poor training!! Come on. Then the male next to her said that everything here is gluten free. I picked my items and I asked again for reassurance, are the meats all gluten free ? The male looks annoyed and was snarky even to my family members who ordered before me!!! And he said that the falafel isn't gluten free. I'm disappointed because cava truly needs to educate their employees of these types of allergens. Being confused and rude isn't the way to go and it's safe to say me and my family won't be coming back!! I first thought that the management was completely ineffective. This is not a playground, so I would like them to act more professionally. Despite wearing gloves, the staff were touching their mouths. At that point, I should have left. However, since I was hungry, I ate, and an hour later, I was hit with severe stomach pain. I couldn't work and was completely down for the rest of the day. I hadn't eaten anything else during that time, so I'm certain this was the cause. I love Cava. But this location clearly underestimated demand. Not enough employees to service their customers. Super long lines and the employees appear to prioritize online orders vs in-store customers. Lots of backs turned to us fulfilling those orders as we waited for service. Also. They offer no bags so if you are buying multiple bowls you have to carry them out by hand. And they run out of menu items quickly. My first time there they ran out of avocado by end of lunch rush.
