    Chicken Bowl
    Shelene L.

Great taste and speedy service made this a positive experience. I ordered two entrees and highly recommend both. The chicken bowl and the chicken salad were excellent! What I like most about this place is that you can customize your bowl, wrap, or salad to your liking. Did I mention I love the salad dressings. So far the Balsamic Date is my favorite.

I popped in to grab dinner after shopping, and the service was very quick and attentive! It appeared clean when I went in and looked like every other CAVA. I got my usual order, and I can say this location did not disappoint! Everything tasted fresh and delicious; I was very happy with my food. The man taking my order was so kind, he allowed customers who hadn't yet tried the drinks to get one for free! I got the lemonade and it was so good! The lemonade was refreshing, not too sweet, and kinda tart. The drinks can be mixed as well, so next time I'm gonna try something different! I still think about that lemonade sometimes. This a great location, the ingredients are fresh and the staff is so kind!! Also, I just love CAVA, so I'm definitely gonna be coming back!

Very tasty and good spot to get a quick healthy bite. This location I felt like I was getting the chipotle treatment (small scoops lol) so I kept having to ask for a little more. They are a very busy location but moved the line quickly and everything was fresh.

Came here on a Sunday for lunch. There was a steady line of people ordering food. It was my 1st time and I got the spicy lamb and avocado. I switched out the rice instead of lentils. The food look fresh and tasty. Will come back again and they offer military discount.

I love how much you can customize their bowls. There is something for vegans, vegetarians, and the carnivores! If you are keto, or paleo, or gluten free, there is an option here for you. The service is quick, even with it being a pretty busy lunch spot. It's always clean and uncluttered inside. The signature drinks are delicious and so is the food. You can pack in the nutrition for a low price! The portions are huge!

We've dined in and ordered to-go from this location a few times. Each time was quick and the food was prepared as requested. I like that you can build your own bowl! My favorite combination so far is a bowl with half spinach and half romaine as the base, traditional hummus, tzatziki, and roasted eggplant dip, grilled chicken, roasted corn, persian cucumbers, and balsamic date vinaigrette. I also like getting an order of pita chips and getting some garlic sauce to dip them in. They are seriously addictive! My husband's favorite bowl is half splendid greens, half basmatic rice, red pepper and traditional hummus, grilled chicken, roasted vegetables (double protein), cabbage, olives, romaine lettuce, and hot harissa vinaigrette and lemon herb tahini sauce on top. Check it out for a delicious, fresh, and customizable experience!

This place caught attention since they took Zoe's Kitchen and put CAVA now. Honestly it was really good. I love that they have a build your own bowl but also some already built. The ingredients were tasty, I got a few of all so it was very flavorful. The portioning was pretty good too, I wasn't able to finish it and will be taking it home for later tonight. Payed like $12 for it which is very reasonable for a bowl. The place was clean and the staff was super nice too. They gave me some pita bread and hummus on the house! Definitely give it a try.

I have visited a number of locations for Cava and generally have a good experience. I think it's nice that they offer suggestions of bowls you can put together but also allow you to customize your bowl/ pita like Chipotle. I love that you can customize your bowl to be as filling and healthy (or unhealthy) as you want. Every time I've gone, I always order the same thing... a build your own lamb bowl. The ingredients are always fresh and the lamb seems to always be cooked perfectly. Plus, lamb is not a protein source I often find at restaurants so it's a nice change of pace. The only thing with this location is that it can become very crowded and have long wait times (a problem with many good business) and the staff can be friendly/ very unfriendly depending on the day. Some of the employees are very happy to help and make you feel welcome while others act like every ingredient is a huge ask and you're bothering them. Overall, this place is worth a visit and definitely a place I'll be returning to!

In my experience, Restaurant Week dishes were normally smaller portions, but not at Southerleigh! We ordered 3 Dinners and had enough for another two meals, and every bite was incredible. Chicken Cracklins: How these were not in a pool of grease and were perfectly crispy and seasoned was impressive but not a surprise, because Southerleigh knows how to fry chicken! Deviled Eggs: They're the devil because I could eat 12 of them and have no regrets. Creamy, nice bit of bacon on top, and absolutely delicious. Fried Pickles (GF): Y'all. I've never had fried pickles like these before. Perfectly crispy and not even a little greasy. Ranch was delicious, special sauce excellent. I could eat those fried pickles every day - my doctor would love it. Half Chicken (GF): Outstanding. I'm forever amazed but how good this GF chicken is. Unreal. 10/10. Chicken Wings: Fried Catfish: If you have a friend whose faces squishes up in disgust when you suggest fried catfish, take them here and get them this fish. Remoulade was perfect. But the crust on that fry and how light it was + how non-greasy or heavy that fried catfish was...there are no words. I could have eaten that catfish all day. What a treat! Top it off with great, friendly service amidst being sat with multiple tables at once, a wonderfully clean restaurant, and just another top notch experience, and I have decided that I'll need to bar myself from Southerleigh for a minute because I can only buy so many new pairs of bigger pants. Go and enjoy this comfort food, GF or not!

I rarely leave restaurant reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to share it. First, my waiter was great. He was attentive, professional, and had nothing to do with the issue. I ordered the Braised Short Rib Lumache and was genuinely excited based on the description and presentation shown online. What arrived was a beautiful plate of pasta, but there was one major problem: there was barely any short rib. The dish was overwhelmingly pasta with very little of the featured ingredient that justified the price. The photos and marketing for this dish create the expectation of a hearty braised short rib pasta. What I received looked nothing like what was advertised. It felt misleading and left me wondering where the short rib actually was. The pasta itself was fine, but when you order a braised short rib dish, you expect to get braised short rib--not just pasta with a trace of it. North Italia has a great atmosphere and excellent service, but this dish was a major letdown. Hopefully management takes a closer look at consistency because the gap between expectation and reality was hard to ignore.

I once called to complain that my to-go order didn't taste the same as it always does. While everything else was tasty, the chicken tasted slightly rubbery. She apologized with sincerity, and explained that because of the chicken shortage, they had to purchase their chicken from another brand/company; she assured me that this was only temporary and that I wasn't the first one to comment on this. She wrote down my name, and today when I got to the cafe, she prepared me a fresh gyro bowl with their "better" chicken... it was delicious. The chicken was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The only reason for not coming back is the distance from my home and the awful 1604 and 10 traffic during all that construction. Today, I went with my wife and one of her friends who was visiting from Chicago on our way home from birding out at Guadalupe River State Park. I don't remember the first time well enough to comment on any changes. I had a hard time choosing a salad. Every single one of them sound fantastic. I finally went with the Mediterranean. All I can say is that it was a wonderful salad. The awesome young lady who prepared it for me used tongs to mix the Hoo Hah out of it. Not only was itt was super fresh, and but I could taste every one of the many ingredients in every bite. It also came in a HUGE bowl. It was what I call a "man salad". I was actually full when it was finished. The only downside of the meal was actually a very positive situation in my opinion. I thought my Sprite Zero tasted funny. My wife disagreed. Either way, I couldn't drink it. I asked a manager if I could get a new cup and explained the situation. She got a little cup and had one of her guys taste it. He agreed with me. Now, why is this a positive situation? That young man immediately got to work cleaning the nozzle in case there was anything in it that was tainting the soda. I have been in similar situations where they just give me a new cup and go right to work as if they didn't care. In this case, the manager and her worker scored major loyalty points!
