Food is mediocre and lacks what you'd expect from 4.5s. Server was nice and the garlic bread was the highlight, but it was a quick plummet from there. They really don't have much of a selection for food, so when you see that you expect each dish to be a home run. Wife got her Caesar salad and I asked how it was. Got back that high- pitched "it's ok," you know, the one where they're not loving it but trying not to cause a scene. I got the Philly . Like many have said, you expect it to be the signature dish the way it's featured on the menu-- it was pretty bland, enough so that I actually resorted to focusing it with ketchup, something I never thought I'd have to do with a Philly. Curly fries with cheese were also mid, and got gravy on side. It was watery and mediocre. When I finished I noticed was struggling with her salad, so I asked what was wrong, to which she replied, " it tastes dirty." I told they waitress and she apologized; then manager comes over and says the best he can do is take half off because she didn't send it right back. Ummm ok...... He ended up taking off my drink, but this is after much bickering back and forth Some other cons: Dirty tasting Orlando water-- get a filter Extra charge for using card-- seriously it's 2022 Not a great drink selection No specials nothing great drink wise No parking directly by restaurant Manager argued with us Yeah, there's so many better options. Philly local here and was told to try this place. I'm actually from Delco where the owners I heard originated. Great cheesesteak and chicken cutlet sandwich. Cavos was pretty good but not remarkable. The best part of my experience was my server; I wished I had gotten her name, since she was super nice. The crowd was good, diverse, and friendly. My rating goes down regarding the food. I ordered the Cavos salad, a side of curly fries, and a couple glasses of wine. Yes, I know this place is renowned for their Phillys, but I'm a vegetarian working toward vegan, and since what I had is on their menu, I reserve the right to review them :) The curly fries could have been crispier and needed more salt. Personally, I am prejudiced against any place that does not serve Heinz ketchup (like why does other ketchup exist ?), and the crappy non-Heinz ketchup detracted from the just-OK fries rather than improved them. The salad was delicious, maybe a bit overdressed; however, after several bites it started to feel one-note. The salad would be perfect in a wrap, or served with pita on the side to add texture/flavor. Also, as is, I found the components could have been chopped more; I got bored of having to cut down the large pieces of lettuce, artichokes, etc,, to fit into my mouth. In general I liked the salad, but the hassle of eating it makes me reluctant to order it again. My biggest pet peeve is that the restaurant passes their credit card fees on to customers; i.e., you have to pay more to use your card than if you pay with cash. Even though it was an extra dollar or so, I still found it obnoxious. I really didn't dislike Cavos at all--it's a decent place with a fun atmosphere. My wine was well poured and well priced, so I could go back there for drinks (and pay with cash). But as a restaurant, I would consider other places first. read more

The ambiance of the place is great! It feels nice and cozy sitting here. Service is relatively good too, besides my running out of water. To be honest, I had higher expectations for the food. I had tried the Philly cheesesteak (which was greatly emphasized on the menu) and it was honesty mediocre for my taste. The meat and cheese tasted great and felt almost like a Mac n cheese, but they way it felt with the bread didn't feel as good as I wanted it to be. What a terrible joke of a business. They served me a disgusting salad and then take no ownership. Empower you staff to do the right thing for the client. The lettuce tasted dirty like unclean and the chicken was bland, flavorless, and questionably cooked. I tried ordering extra dressing to mask the gross taste because I didn't want to complain. When I finally said something they told me I should said something sooner. They refunded me half the salad and nothing for the "add on" chicken. Save your time and money and go anywhere else! This is a great little spot where Graffiti Junction used to be. They have a limited menu, but everything is delicious! We had the gravy fries, which were really tasty, with a rich gravy and big chunks of steak! We also had the French onion soup (rich and herby with nice bubbly, crusty cheese) and the pork sandwich (juicy and HUGE). It was all excellent! Happy hour is until 7. Decided to try Cavos on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy which was perfect. They redid the restaurant and it looks really nice. We came in for the food specially but our waitress convinced us to do a "perfect pairing" a $5 domestic beer and a shot. Which was a nice deal. The food menu is small but has a couple great items. The infamous gravy fries.. do it! They were great. Perfectly fried in order to stay crispy with some of the best gravy I've had! The beef gravy is so yummy and has chunks of beef in it and has the best not too salty beef flavor. *hint hint cavos* add some cheese curds and you would have one of the BEST poutines! Also add an option of gravy tots! Then we ordered the pork sandwich and the philly. The pork was mediocre, and lacked in flavor. The bread was great, there was lots of juicy but not true or exciting flavor. I would not recommend. The philly on the other hand was verY well made and had the best combination of melted cheese, meat, and grilled onions... dip it in left over gravy, you won't be sorry! Try it out. The drinks were good. The food needs work. The tater tots tasted like out of the frozen food section of Walmart. If you are going to serve tater tots mince onion, garlic and add salt and pepper to provide some flavor. The wings were good and as expected at a dive bar, but nothing out of the ordinary. They did a great job remodeling this restaurant/bar and making it have it's own identity. The lighting makes the bar very cozy and welcoming, along with the comfortable bar stools, booths, and chairs. There are numerous TVs that are visible from any seat in the house, and play the sound of the football games (and maybe other sports). Also, love the tribute to Pulse. I went for Saturday lunch with about 6 people. The service was quick and friendly with reasonable prices. I had the cheese steak with curly fries. This place is amazing. Their staff members are always attentive, caring and pleasant. This place is ideally located and a welcoming atmosphere is never lacking. I'm a gravy girl so food wise my fav is the curly fries with gravy. Their chicken wings and tenders are also good. Sometimes they will have a special of the day where they will make something not found on the menu which is just as fun. They are dog friendly so you can bring Fido for some good company. We have seen this place a few times and finally decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was overall great loved the vibe of the place. My partner had the chicken parm and I had the pizza steak which was a twist on the Philly cheese steak. The food was very good if you are looking for an appetizer the fried risotto is TO DIE FOR. The drinks are very Stiff haha. Our only issue is the seating we had on the wall you will not be able to fit in the wall seats unless you are a super tiny person. Came for the recently hyped up Philly cheesesteak and it lived up to billing. High quality ribeye steak and gooey American cheese made for the perfect flavor and texture. This is the best Philly in Orlando. My wife had the Italian and it was also excellent. On the downside, the meatballs were very average, but they were fine for my son. Also, while the seasoned fries were nice and crispy, they were served with crappy Hunt's ketchup. Please upgrade to Heinz as there is absolutely no comparison. Nobody likes Hunts.
