One of those experiences that makes me say Welp, not Yelp. So, welp, here it is...I really wanted to like this restaurant more than I did. I'm rating it a little higher than it deserves, because I don't want to dissuade anyone else from going there. If you're curious why, read on... Walking in, I immediately felt like I was in one of the myriad of oh-so-promising nicer but "you're not in Scottsdale" restaurants in Rocky Point. Locals will know exactly what I mean. I love Rocky Point and whole vibe here was cheeky like that. The menu, oddly bright and inconsistent lighting, a full on Mariachi band with a Mexican vocalist, even some rando walking around selling flowers table to table like the tchotchke vendors on Sandy Beach. The band really was good, by the way! They have an interesting menu and the meal started out quite good. The chips were accompanied by a tasty ceviche instead of typical tomato salsa. I think it had a salsa negra base or Maggi seasoning. Lots of umami and great flavor overall. Appetizer of rib eye chicharrones was slightly disappointing. Really good beef flavor and texture, simply need some salt and maybe other seasoning. Was just kind of bland. And my breaded fish entree was not high quality. The sauce was great but the dish not so much. Overcooked, greasy, and too much breading. It couldn't decide if it wanted to be pan fried or deep fried. If I were that little fish, I'd want to wait until I grew up then I'd want to be lightly pan fried and seasoned a little more with lots of sauce all over me. (Psychoanalyze that, will ya?) Good cocktails, slow but very friendly service. Overall a little overpriced for what you get. But so promising. Great ideas all around, just the execution isn't quite there. Would I go back? Maybe sometime since it's nearby and I really want to like the place. I would definitely try different dishes to see if any of them are on point. My advice, give it a go if you like the Rocky Point vibe and Mexican seafood. Maybe you'll have a different experience. Then again, maybe you'll realize that with free advice, just like psychotherapy, you get what you pay for.

The food was very delicious I will give them that. Unfortunately the service wasn't as great. We were a party of 10 and we were seated almost immediately on Saturday around noon time. The establishment wasn't full at all and it took them about 30 min just to take our drink orders and about another 25 min after to take our food order... 1 hour in and still had to wait another 30 min to receive our food.

THIS WAS $25. And it was fine. In my book fine is a four letter word beginning with f and it does not mean good.

YUCK...I was so disappointed. Absolutely expensive bizarre menu. And the taste was nasty. Fish taco was edible, 3 street taco tortillas, 1 piece of breaded fish, half a cup of lettuce a few sauteed onions and rice, $25. I SAID $25 FOR A F*CKING PIECE OF FISH. SICK SHIT. The appetizer of ahi and shrimp and avocado was very pretty but tasted TERRIBLE. And I told him. No offer to remove. So I get to bring it home wash that shit off of it and cook it myself. By the way that was $24 for the appetizer which is supposed to come ahead of the meal... IT CAME OUT THE SAME TIME... And AMF for $13 is not bad... And it was just okay. With tip I spent $75 and it brings me to tears that I spend so much money on NASTY nasty food. God I'm sick to my stomach I'm work hard for my money and I can't believe I WASTED IT at this place. EDITED. I COULDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH THE LEFTOVERS. I TRIED AND THEY WERE STILL NASTY. $75 I SHOULD HAVE LEFT OVERS FOR THREE MEALS. I WASTED ALL THAT ON ONE DISGUSTING MEAL. I HAVE NEVER EVER REQUESTED MY MONEY BACK AND I AM REQUESTING NOT TO PAY THROUGH MY BANK. NO MEAL IN MESA SHOULD COST $75.

Worst dining experience ever The food here was ok but the service and ambience was the worst. Live music was too loud, you can't hear anything besides the music. We can't hear the server and they can't hear us either. Service was horrible as they are serving the wrong dishes to the wrong guess. When we ask for a to go box, the server put the clean box on top of the dirty plate. Never coming here again.

    ¡Comida sabrosa!

About three times a year my wife and I drive from northern New Mexico to San Diego spending the night at the Delta Hotel in Mesa. The hotel's location allows us to easily walk to Cayomango for a delicious dinner. My favorite dishes: the Guacamole Mexicano and the Taco de Marlin! In April I dined there again and enjoyed talking to the waitress/cashier Yethzely, friendly and helpful providing excellent service and helping me practice speaking Español. We're looking forward to returning later this year. The total cost of my delicious meal before tip: $24.22 and worth every penny!

Great place to go if you want to eat great Mexican seafood and want to have your head pounding from excessively loud music while you're eating. Trust me when I say, you will leave this place with a headache. I would have given this place 4-5 stars for the food but overall can only give it 2 due to the obnoxiously high volume of the music. You can't hear the waitstaff or your companion at all.

Sayda was very kind and welcoming. Food was great and the environment was great. I loved how clean and simple their restaurant is. Very inviting. Also the ceviche was lovely. I have never had oysters until having them tonight and they weren't fishy at all. Tasted great.

What an incredible gem! This is true ethically, sustainably sourced seafood from a family business…read more You can taste the effort and care in the food, and you can feel the passion when you talk to the employees. I went to the storefront in Good Canyon, AZ and got a full tour of the fish options available. Because they process it by hand right after they catch it, it lasts in the freezer quite a while and still tastes like it was JUST pulled from the sea. In this day and age of things seeming so pricey, this food is worth every penny!

(And yes, that includes this morning when I drove all the way across town like a woman on a seafood mission.) This is the kind of business I love to support...small, family-owned, and absolutely passionate about what they do. Jim and his crew catch the fish themselves in Alaska, get it packaged and flown to Arizona, and then somehow manage to bring coastal-level freshness right into the middle of the desert. You'll usually spot him at Uptown Farmer's Market (bring a cooler...you'll want to stock up), but he also shows up roadside now and then like a seafood fairy godfather. And he's delivered larger orders right to my door in the past. Who does that anymore?! Jim does. Favorites? Halibut, cod, red snapper, and the smoked salmon which is basically a religious experience. Oh...and halibut cheeks. Trust me. A total delicacy. Never to be forgotten! The fish is always firm, clean, fresh, and so flavorful it barely needs seasoning. Jim's even been known to share a killer recipe if you're not sure what to make. Tonight? Halibut's on the menu and I might be eating early...because I've been craving it for weeks.

Could Pier 88 be my new favorite local spot for seafood boil???…read more Yes... yes it is! We ordered three pounds of head-on shrimp. Spice level was medium and went with the 88 Special seasoning (a combination of cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper) - AMAZING flavor!! Perhaps my favorite aspect was that their seasonings were not overly salty - I feel that most other seafood boil restaurants just include way too much salt in their seasonings... but at Pier 88, you can really indulge without feeling like you're going to end up with high blood pressure! Extras included corn, sausage, and potatoes... and those were all delicious as well! I couldn't have been happier with this meal... so I will definitely return again soon! This place looked like it did a good seafood boil and was located near where our hotel was. Upon entering we were greeted and sat right away. He ordered a shrimp basket while I ordered my usual snow crab. Heads up, all the supplies will be brought in the bottom of the discard bucket like gloves, lemons, and crab crackers. I wasn't aware of this, and placed all the discarded items on top of it while eating bareheaded as I didn't see supplies, and no one was around to ask. Usually places will bring on the side, and I wish I was told that in advance when it was brought to the table. It made for quite the mess, but if we return I'll know for next time. Once our server returned to check in after 10+ minutes that's when we were advised, and I adjusted though I had put my boil bag in there so most had been soiled. As for the food, he liked his shrimp while I thought the crab was okay in flavor/spice. It didn't really standout out like other places I've been to recently, but overall I would return if I was in the area.

We had our heart set, so we braved the parking lot and the quoted 1-1.5hr wait (actual wait time: 53 minutes). Greatly appreciate the staff member who took drink orders while we waited as a martini eases the time waiting! Plus, they had a hydration station with water that is much needed in our Arizona heat - thank you! Our server Alex was phenomenal and provided great insights with recommendations. We greatly appreciate it as it was both of ours first time visiting this establishment to try the Arizona Restaurant Week specials. For my 1800th review on Yelp, I couldn't think of a more fitting review - Arizona Restaurant Week helping me venture out to try somewhere new (the Yelp way)! Lastly regarding the experience, it was quite loud due to it being busy, so appreciate Alex repeating somethings over. Thanks for the great service to make this a great night out! What We Ordered: ~ Onward and Upward (Non-alcoholic): my boyfriend enjoyed the flavor, but wild to think a NA drink is $15! He said likely not a do over. ~ Dirty Vodka Martini + Blue Cheese-stuffed Olives: the first outside was not as good as the one at the table. I'd definitely buy another when returning, especially dining in as the olives were delicious. ~ Fresh Pull-Apart Dinner Rolls: very delicious, and we enjoyed! Definitely a splurge as the price point was $12 for 5 rolls. I did find myself wishing they were served with a nice French butter or even a honey cinnamon butter, which would elevate these and help me justify the price point. ~ Arizona Restaurant Week which included a starter, entree, and the selected dessert (boyfriend: Oysters + Sushi selection and me: Caesar Salad + blackened Texas Redfish): Both my boyfriend and I throughly enjoyed and thought it was well worth the $55 per guest price point. Standouts for him were the oysters and sushi, stating they were very fresh. My standout was the delicious redfish, and the sushi as I tried some of his. Everything was fresh and flavorful! We left talking about when we can return for their actual menu versus restaurant week. Love finding great local places via Arizona Restaurant Week. If in the area, stop by this location!
