Breakfast
Maritza S.

Very friendly service and solid breakfast food. Everything we had was good with the exception of the biscuits which felt very dry. The French toast combo was perfect: French toast, eggs and bacon or sausage. You can get a half or full order of French toast. The chicken fried steak was good, but the gravy was a little bland. I still enjoyed the meal. FYI: If you are a fan of antiques, there's a wonderful antique shop in the same parking lot that opens at 10 am.

Country Combo Split

We love coming here for breakfast whenever we are up in Lake Arrowhead. All the staff is so friendly it really feels like they put their thought and care into their customer service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant gives that small town diner feel so you know it feels homey.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food is good you get big portions. This time we had the country combo and we split it and even with us splitting it we couldn't finish. So you definitely get your moneys worth with a plate here. Sunday's they have muffins so definitely get one if you happen to eat here in Sunday. Yummy food for a spot in the mountains they're usually hard to find but this is a gem.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a picture of our food but everything was amazing. Service was great. Our coffee cups never went empty. Our server checked in on us but not too much where you'd always get caught mid bite. The food itself was good and flavorful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place wasn't too loud as it was still a little early. But it's a diner, I can see it being a little loud which I'm fine with.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a bit darker but it added a nice vibe to the place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If in the area again we will definitely be coming back. We're big breakfast people and this place was everything we wanted and more !

Steak and eggs with fruit

Wow! This place is amazing! My husband and I came here because it's one of the few places in town that is open before 11 on a weekday and it did not disappoint. My husband got the steak and eggs and I got the tuna salad. Both were big portions and great pricing. We also got the zucchini fries, they are a must. They were freshly cut and freshly deep fried. We also got a fruit salad and it was all fresh and good quality. The service was good and fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is mountain cafe, super cute and warm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend this place, it's by far one of the best places in town for fresh and good ingredients. They also serve wine, beer, and champagne!

Pancakes and biscuits with gravy

The absolute best pancakes and bacon! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Highly recommend this one of a kind authentic homey diner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very kind staff make you feel welcome and the food came out fast!

Service continues to be wonderful. The teas are unique and flavorful. Food has not changed. Delicious and freshly made to order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Servers are kind and restaurant was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love this place and will continue to return here. Hours are 7a-2p.

Still on of the mountain's best little diners - just gotta account for the early closing time.

Veggie omelette!

Great spot at the lake. There was a wait when we got there for brunch, but it was well worth it! Here's where you can get some great home style eats in a small-town vibe kind of place! Highly recommend.

Great food at a reasonable price. The service is what stood out the most. The people are so hospitable here. Will be back if I'm in the area again!

Great food and wonderful service. Also, the portions are massive, so be wary(make sure you got room in your fridge).

I tried to come out once a month with my dogs and get a beer and a small appetizer at each location and usually dinner at the last location. This place was the best by far we were greeted by this tall gentleman with the beard bald guy super cool dude. This waiter was amazing full of personality. Customer service skills was excellent. We ordered the California Dog tater tots with garlic Parm and a peanut butter and jelly burger that was to die for everything. Everything was amazing except for it being a little windy on the patio and a little chilly, but that was the least of our worries our dogs were comfortable. The food was amazing. The ambience was exceptional and the service was top-notch. Thank you sir for the amazing recommendations. We will be back for sure from your friends with the Doberman and German Shepherd dogs. The Corvette and the Peanut Butter Malt!!!…read more If you're anywhere near the mountains, do yourself a favor and stop by Cedar Glen Malt Shop. This was hands down one of the best burgers and malts I've ever had. The burger was fresh, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. Every bite tasted like it was made with care instead of rushed out of the kitchen. Then came the malt, thick, creamy, and packed with flavor. It was the perfect classic pairing with an already incredible burger. One of the coolest touches is how they name many of their burgers after classic cars. It's a fun, nostalgic theme that fits the old-school malt shop atmosphere and gives the menu a personality you don't see very often. Great food, friendly service, and a unique experience make this place well worth the drive. I'll definitely be coming back to work my way through the rest of those "car" burgers. Highly recommended!

This is a must stop when you're in Lake arrowhead. I forgot the name of the burger, they use car names for the names of their burgers. I got the cheeseburger with bacon. It was amazing. Taste like high-quality meat, seasoned to perfection and the service is welcoming and they make you feel at home. I really wanted to get the double bacon cheeseburger with extra bacon, but after talking to the waitress, she recommended if I'm not that big of an eater, to go with a single. Let me tell you the single is very filling. If you have a huge appetite, Then go with the double. The burgers here are very well endowed and will not leave you craving for more. I look forward to stopping by this establishment again whenever I'm in Lake arrowhead. They have a cool retro theme seating area, reminds me of an old diner. Which is weird because that's what they were going for lol

Stopped in from West LA for a late dinner during this most recent Valentine's Day & President's Day…read morelong weekend and it was honestly better than we were expecting. It's located on the ground floor of an Inn of the same name. It has an old timey, alpine look to it which really adds to the ambiance. They have a full bar, as well as booths, tables, and covered patio seating. It's pretty large inside so can host large groups as well. Our server was very sweet and all of our items arrived quickly. They don't have a very large menu, but it does have a lot of great options on it, especially for over 5000 feet above sea level. I chose one of the specials for the night which was the Black Cod. It was honestly great, cooked perfectly, and a fair portion. I enjoyed every part of it and would recommend. I also started off with the French Onion Soup and that too was great, it was a bit saltier than most versions I have back home, but still I liked it. We also ordered the Cobb Salad which was generous in portions, and we both really liked it. I was not a very big fan of the French Fries, that was the only downside of the meal. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for dinner when visiting Lake Arrowhead, especially for anyone looking for a great place for a date.

We came on a sunday at 11pm, so felt like there were minimal serving staff, so food took longer than expected, but the serving staff was very nice, and attentive. Service, environment, cleanliness, cute holiday decorations, sports on TV, 4.5 out of 5 Food was more of a 3, best thing we got was the Poke nachos, loved the fried wonton chips, nice cuts of tuna, great toppings. regular fries and parmesan fries were good, standard restaurant fries Philly cheese steak was ok, meat was good, bread was too thick and chewie. Burger was ok, average meat and bread. Fish and chips were ok, nice crisp, batter not too dense, needed seasoning, very plain. Chicken wings were ok, little dry, not too much flavor. Cool for groups, lots of alcohol options, good kid options, food was average. I would come back if I was in the area, and had a large group, and wanted alcohol. Dragon egg, neutral.

Very small restaurant so highly recommend getting a reservation. We tried many items from the menu. I really liked the steak tartare which tasted of truffle and loved that they had different things to add on top as well. It was really good steak and not at all chewy. The soup du jour was a creamy caramelized onion soup which was decadent and so good. For my entree I got the seafood pot which I liked but wasn't obsessed with. The curry was very thin and the seafood felt a bit overcooked for me. But the taste was good, just wish the curry was a thicker paste than a liquid soup texture. My family all loved their entrees and said the quality of their various steak dishes was remarkable. The waitress was so kind as well. Would love to come back next time I'm in town!

I started my meal with a craft beer and a half order of the Grilled Caesar. There are a number of quality starters and entrees to choose from but after asking for a recommendation from our server, I settled on the Spicy Thai Basil Spaghetti. I also was fortunate to have the opportunity to try the steak Tartare. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and well-crafted with fresh ingredients, and it made for an overall great meal.
