The coffee is lovely; loved my hot flat white with lavender flavor. My husband had an iced brown butter latte. If you don't mind a little more lively noise level and the occasional shrill baby squeals (I grew up in a big family, so it doesn't bother me, lol) then come visit. It can get a little noisy inside due to hard surfaces bouncing sound around. The patio out from and in the back are nice little escapes. It feels like a second home but with fresh baked pastries and friendly strangers. :) read more

I kept seeing and hearing about Cedar House in Orange and finally went to check it out with my wife and some friends. From the outside it is such a beautiful place, not even a typical shop but an old style white home with cozy outdoor seating. Inside it feels quiet, relaxing, and the perfect spot to study or just hang out. The furniture and decor are really well thought out and you can tell a lot of detail went into creating the vibe. I thought it was awesome that the back area even has a little kids play space which is so thoughtful for families. I ordered the vanilla chai and it was excellent. Great chai flavor, not too overpowering with cinnamon, and not overly milky which I appreciated. My wife and friends loved their drinks as well. We also got to talk with the owner and manager and they were extremely sweet and welcoming. The whole place felt warm, homie, and inviting. This spot definitely lives up to the hype and I would highly recommend it whether you want a cozy date spot, a place to study, or just enjoy a really good coffee or chai. read more

Such a cute coffee shop. Staff is super friendly. Went with a group of around 30 girls and I was impressed, they got the orders out pretty fast even with a line out the door. There was a lot of people when we went and there was still a ton of seating from the front patio, little nooks and tables inside, and especially the outside backyard area which I didn't even know existed. I ordered an iced coffee with honey syrup and cold foam. I like my coffee extra strong so I added an additional espresso shot to my iced coffee. The syrups are made in house. The salted maple cold foam was perfect. I liked how it was not overly sweet. One of our girls ordered matcha and they said it was too milky so that might be the only thing but I would say you can't go wrong with coffee and pastry from here. read more

If you're ever feeling g homesick this is the spot to be CedarHouse Coffee feels like stepping into your fancy grandparents coziest living room with warm wood, perfect lighting, beautiful decor everywhere just pure good vibes the second you walk in. I am confident you will Love both internal and external space and beautifully done patio. We grabbed iced lattes and match and enjoyed every sip, they'r smooth, perfectly balanced, and you can taste the care. And CHOK Hospital is 7min away. We always try to sneak in a little quiet time before any of our kids appointments because the atmosphere just fills like home vibes. The flavor of the espresso is nice and smooth. The flavoring is very light however so I couldn't taste the brown butter too much but overall very enjoyable coffee. The indoor and outdoor seating area was great and lots of fun decor and cups. They had KIDS TOYS which was perfect for our daughter to play and be entertained while we drank our coffee. I have gone here every day this week. I'm genuinely addicted to the ambiance here, it feels like I'm over at a friends house where I can work/play games/have quiet time in a space that you can feel is an atmosphere of worship. Their prayer room is absolutely gorgeous and holy. As far as seating, I would recommend coming before 11, when I come at 9-10 there's plenty of seating but I've noticed a huge rush comes in around 11-12 and seating is not as easy to find, unless you sit outside in their back patio, which is super quiet and peaceful too. I finally was able to visit CedarHouse coffee the other day and it was ok. The first time I tried going, I was not able to find parking. I went around noon and there was no parking close by. I would've had to park in one of the neighborhoods further away across the street and walked. The second time I went I was able to find parking but it was around 2 p.m. and they were closing soon. What I liked about this spot was that it has a wonderful ambiance. The fact that it's a Victorian house transformed into a coffee house is super cool. The house has a gorgeous exterior and has been thoughtfully decorated inside. There are plenty of cozy seating areas and tables inside and outside. The reasons I gave this spot 3 stars are that 1) the coffee was bland and pretty small, 2) the parking situation and 3) their hours. I ordered their iced latte with coconut syrup and oat milk. It lacked flavor overall and I barely tasted the coconut. I preferred the matcha I ordered with honey. Unfortunately, this place closes at 3 and it would be nice if they were open a little later, especially since their parking is so difficult during peak hours. Overall, it's a nice place to check out mainly for the vibe but probably wouldn't return for the coffee. read more

Scheduled a few meetings here thinking it would be a cozy and intimate space. Every time my coffee or matcha was watered down. Not the best place for a meeting or catching up with a friend because there is a lot of background noise with children under 5. It feels like a "mommy and me" or play date coffee house. I think the only quiet place is the prayer room. Parking is about a block away at the train station with some sketchy people parked there and hanging out. read more

Oh man this one is a hard one for me. Coffee is probably a 3/5 for me but vibes is a 5/5. First off, this place was extremely busy! Finding parking took me a while. Granted, I came on Labor Day. Once I got in the front door, it was nice to know that they had AC running. There were so many people inside! The menu was pretty simple and had all the basic coffee offerings. I was a little bummed that the croissant I wanted to get just sold out right before I was able to order. But then again, I got here closer to 10. I ended up getting their iced coffee. It was $5 at the time that I came here. However, when I got my iced coffee, I noticed that it wasn't clear and looked like there was a lot of sediment in the coffee. I ended up drinking about half of it and discarding the rest. The fun part was being able to come here with my daughter and enjoy the place, but the coffee could definitely be improved upon. I'm happy to come here and support a Christian business and I hope someone from management reads this and improves on their coffee. Cheers! read more

I came to Cedar House for the first time with my sister. I ordered a vanilla latte and she got a regular latte--both were okay, nothing that really stood out. The staff was very friendly and the café has plenty of seating, which I liked. Parking was a little tricky to find, but manageable. We also tried the banana chocolate muffin, which was tasty. Very cute little place with many choices of seating. Ordered a hazelnut breve latte it was amazing. Creamy, flavorful and just sweet enough. Ordered double shot espresso. Again the flavor was amazing. Forgot to check what kind of coffee they use but we will be back. It is a shame they are closed on Sunday, that seams to be a very busy day for coffee adventures. read more

The only con was parking: it took a while to find a green spot (parking permit neighborhood) and it's just not very convenient when you have two kiddos with you. Love the feeling and ambiance of this spot. Clean and decorated beautifully, a great start to a different concept. When making yet another coffee spot in Orange, you have to consider what sets yours apart from the almost dozen within a mile range of one another. This one does it by being a "space" to spend time, not just get a drink. There's a space in the back to play ping pong, a room to pray in, and lots of open area to gather. Service was fine, people were friendly. Would recommend more so for the environment to spend time in than anything else. Will be back! read more

A mere 1.3 miles away, I find this eight year old coffee shop that has its name origins from the German word for bread. Evidently, they have a plethora of baked foods mainly consisting of flour, water and often yeast displayed in full display next to the counter. I asked one of the staff if the shop makes their own bread and she said a local artisan bakery supplies them. They look amazing and they even have gluten-free options! This is a family-owned business that provides a more than suitable area for working on your laptop with WiFi access, or simply enjoying your favorite hot or cold caffeinated beverage, oh, and I must mention that they have premium blends as well for the coffee aficionado! Spacious indoor area that doesn't feel cramped and the exposed ceiling vents, the jazzy beats that is playing at a perfect volume and plenty of potted plants give it a balanced chill industrial vibe. There are tables outside too that's perfect for early morning or late afternoon when it's not too hot. I ordered the Vanilla Latte hot and asked that they fill up my insulated mug instead of the cardboard cup. Even with the steady stream of patrons, I received my expertly prepared brew by their hirsute barista, who gave me "beard envy" (I can only sport a goatee) :D The crew are friendly, conversing with the regulars. Given that this cafe charges premium prices compared to others, I expect much better and more honest customer service.

Also tried the Brisket Pastrami Sandwich ($15.99) which was decent but nothing I'd particularly rave about. I'd stick with the breakfast burritos. Located near Lee's Sandwiches and a Mediterranean eatery. The parking lot does tend to fill up quickly, but there seemed to be a steady flow of people coming and going so finding a spot wasn't too difficult.

These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

Both were delicious! I'd personally give the drinks a 7/10, but the atmosphere was definitely a 10/10. The house itself is SO cute and has such a beautiful vintage, homey aesthetic. Everything was super clean and cozy, and I loved that there are tables outside as well as a small amount of seating inside. Even though there isn't a ton of indoor seating, it still has such a relaxing vibe if you want to sit and chill for a bit. The outside area is beautiful too! The employees were really nice and patient, which I always appreciate. Overall, I just loved how different Cedar Coffee House feels compared to other coffee shops. I love this place so much It is far more than just a coffee shop. It's a church I've been going to for 2 years, and they finally got a building and young adults passionate about coffee to work it, while keeping the integrity of a house church. My husband ordered the French toast, which looked suspiciously like it took a quick detour from Trader Joe's frozen aisle before landing on our table. There's nothing wrong with frozen French toast... unless you're charging $14 and calling it brunch. Another friend ordered the granola with berries. After a few bites, he gave it a skeptical look, pushed the bowl away, and decided breakfast simply wasn't worth the gamble. The coffee was decent , but honestly wasn't worth fighting the neighbors for a parking spot!

There was a tall woman behind the counter this time. We went through the typical spiel of what can I get you? Comes with a cold brew, etc etc. But after I walked away, 3 of her colleagues came up to chat and show pictures. As they were chatting I heard her say "I ain't got time for cold brew" and look directly at me. Then they split up and she went to stand at the other end of the counter while the 2 people she was chatting with came behind the counter and started sharing pictures or whatever. It just came off rude. I love this place and these are our favourite beans but just really crappy feeling as a local customer.
