I was optimistic going to the dealer for the sales they were having over the Christmas holidays...right away my brother in law and I were approached by two older gentlemen who introduce us to their collection of jeep wranglers I was looking to purchase that same day. As I chose the wrangler I wanted we began to talk about making a deal. I knew that me being a first time buyer would be an issue and that I would have to make an offer we can both work with, because well that's how you negotiate a deal or not...the tall bald sales manager sat down and starting asking for a down and a co-signer...I will admit I was hesitant and asked if I can make a phone call to see if I can get my gf to co-sign. I got up made the call and got an ok and was willing to put a down payment to get the car. As I was walking back to my seat with the sales associate who helped me in the beginning the sales manager said "alright thanks for coming by". He didn't even bother to explain himself on why he was basically kicking me and my Brother in law out...it goes to show what kind of sales manager this location has and apparently he has no set skills on making a deal or any kind of people skills. I bought my 2 cars here, at hyundai both on the same day one for me and one for my wife. My car had issues the moment we drove off the lot. The car was brand new MAYBE 5miles on it. I took it in for service and they said it needs a new engine. it took over 2 weeks to replace, not 1 time did they tell us it was on back order. Then i call 2 weeks later and am given conflicting information Lauren said it will be ready in 15 min (luckily i didn't go) i called a second time 45 minutes later and Enrique tells me they haven't even recieved the engine yet. So i talk to Al who states he is "the highest level of a mgr" ---yea right. And Al tells me Tim who is the main one the project is out until Monday, so Al won't be able to provide me with ALL available information. I have never heard of an organization so inefficient. All operations stop when 1 person goes out of town or gets sick... hows that for customer service? then he tells me their internal operation "usually works" as evidence by the highest scores from God knows what, and he would take this as a lesson learned. Not once did he acknowledge the gross misscommunicaton that could have wasted a tremendous amount of time nor the fact that Dumb and Dumber had given me wrong info (not1 but BOTH of them) Al finally called me back and said the engine was in fact there but had not been installed. Tim finally returned, and took an additional 3 days luckily for me they have me a sedan to use while I move apartments (i am paying for an SUV, how that is even remotely close to what i bought is beyond me) when i brought this us to Als attention he said well we don't HAVE to give u something comparable. So there u have it, they are the type of company that will: skip the extra mile for the customer. If its not required by contact or law you can forget it. Lastly, as if that wasn't enough, I went to pick up my car they gave it back to me and as I'm driving off I realize my AC isn't working. Yep. Competence is a virtue when you go to hyundai.. is asking them to fix my NEW car and return it in acceptable condition really too much to ask for? i mean afterall they had the damn thing for 2 weeks and 3 days.... I was told the car was mine..everything was good to go and that was it..now they're telling me my loan did not got through ..EVEN THOUGH THEY TOLD ME IT WAS APPROVED..and told me they mad e a mistake. Went yesterday to look and possibly purchase a corvette!!! Horrible experience. The manager basically told me that I was not a serious buyer because I would not surrender my license when he asked for it. The manager was rude, behavior very racist in nature! I walked out- told them they lost a sale today. The car rep appeared to be new. Although he was pretty cool he really did not know much about corvettes. Smh. as i began stating in my review of Honda World in Downey.. dealerships are a cut-throat business.. not only between each other but between dealership and customer as well. it's hard to get an honest perspective of a dealership minus the facade they often put up with the "you are a valued customer" B.S. only to be ripped off on the back-end when you get your work-service order (receipt) and all it says are a bunch of stuff you don't understand. then you get it translated, but by who else? the service manager. conflict of interest don't you think? the thing i like about this place.. the service-writers seemed well-paid because they're pretty relaxed about getting you to bite on signing-off on a service agreement. there are even a few service-writers who are pretty darn honest with what you really need, what you can get away with servicing on a minimum, what deals you can get, and so forth. they're really willing to work with you and explain detail by detail what everything means and where you can cross-reference their work in a non-bias way. there are a couple things that do gripe me which is the reason they only get three stars. i know it's their job but their sales people can be kind of pushy sometimes.. trying too hard to get you to bite on a deal. there are even a couple that would ignore you because they don't think you'll buy a car. but whatever.. their loss in commission.. not mine. their parts department people aren't too knowledgeable either. you would kind of think that they would be a little more knowledgeable than the average person as to parts specific to Honda cars, but no. you ask them a simple question like, 'is this specific part from XXXX year and XX model and trim compatible with this XXXX year and XX model and trim?' or 'what's the difference between this XXXXXXXXXXX part number and this XXXXXXXXXXX part number when it's the same part?' or even something that i know is trans-compatible between year/model/trim of Honda cars and they argue me to try and prove me wrong. oh well.. but.. overall.. service here is great. car comes back and i know the work is reliable. the prices may be a little steep compared to some other dealership's service departments and/or auto service/repair shops.. but you get what you pay for, even in accommodations and customer service. read more

I have tried going to Cerritos Auto Plaza twice to purchasing two different cars. First one was in 2015 at Cerritos Infiniti where they gave me the run-around, was way over on the payment and down payment that I had told them I wanted to have and was offering a very low trade in for my car. After hours of going back and fourth I was done and walked out and ended up going to OC Infiniti and walked out with a brand new 2015 Infiniti. Yesterday I went into Kia to purchase a 2016 Optima and had the exact same experience, (it was deja vu) again I walked out came back to Huntington Beach and went to Kia Car Pros and walked out with my brand new 2016 Kia Optima Hybrid fully loaded. I don't know what's going on with the dealerships over there but that's twice I've had the exact same experience with two different dealerships... I would not recommend anybody going over to Cerritos without going and trying other dealerships in other areas first. read more

My overall experience at the Cerritos Hyundai was horrible. I tried buying a car through Mohammed and soon realized that his games turned out to be a waste of time and energy. I do not recommend this salesperson at all. He was friendly, BUT he manipulated and lied to me. First, he said, go to"truecar.com and print out and bring the price from the website and we will match it." So I did. I also asked him if he had the car I wanted in stock. He said, "yes, come on down buddy. We don't have the other color, but we can have it delivered in an 1 hr or 2." I went down to Hyundai on my day off and after waiting for 20 minutes about the pricing they were unable to match the price with the information I printed." The price still wasn't as bad, but when I asked about the car with the specific color, he told me to wait an 1hr or 2. Well, 4.5 hrs later he then tells me that the car won't be available until the next day. So not only was I lied to about the pricing but the availability. I walked to the Nissan dealer to check out some cars. Even though I didn't buy a car from them, they were very nice and professional. Do not come here!!!!! My friend came in with his aunt and mom to buy a 2015 challenger sxt at the beginning of the month. He was met with a sale rep. He was able to test drive the challenger and charger . the sales person got his hopes up about his dream car, the story changed after they ran the credit and talked with his mother. His mom made it clear that they wanted a sensible car for her son but was happy to get him what he wanted . the sales rep took that as a $ signs. He then proceed to write up paper work for a chysler 200 limited 2015 bare bones base model. My friend had a 2013 jeep wrangler 2d sport that he was trading in for a challenger. His mother convinced signed the paper work for the Chrysler and ended up financing a car that's valued at base model limited for $24,370. Him and his mother were suckered into a$ 36,000 financed contract. They told him the whole time he was trying to get the challenger that his credit did meet standard to get that car financed when he and his mom cosigned together. So he bit the bullet and settled. When checking online as of today 10/21/2015 they have a 2016 challenger rt for$ 34,390 that doesn't make cense . the sales rep knew damn well they get a high commotion on Chrysler's cars being the luxery line and gave them their highest loan to top it off. And no one at cerritos want to fix this f * cked up mess . read more

My Cerritos Nissan experience was horrible. Bought my car here at the Auto Square thinking I was coming to a high-caliber Dealership. Bought a Titan truck. After three weeks of my purchase the vehicle broke down. Management team was great when I bought the truck. But when I call in for my concerns and issues it was a complete 180. I had to take two days off from work- the 1st day was because they would not return my phone calls and so I went to the dealership for them to tell me they would call me. The 2nd day because they wanted me to get the truck towed to the dealership when they originally told me to tow it to the nearest Nissan dealer. I feel ripped off and not appreciated by this Dealership. I had to pay for my towing, rental car and half the repair dues. Save yourself the stress and headache - Do not buy a car here unless you want to spend thousands of dollars and having it break down before your first payment. This place is a joke. read more
