Food has been great in these Covid times. The Salmon Wrap, chicken tikka and daho vada especially seem to be hitting the spot. For tikka, I found that afternoon-6.00 PM, it is moist, flavorful and hot so timing is important. Keep up the good work, guys. read more

Delicious food as always. Small restaurant tucked in this huge complex off 580. Good indian food. Delicious and not overly spicy. Kids love their wraps and Papri Chaat. Almost everything on the menu that we have tried over years tastes good. Kids love wraps. Can never go wrong. The staff is nice and well mannered. We love this restaurant and patronize it at least twice a week. However of late, things have been going down in quality. Just today, we ordered 2 lamb curries with thick gravy and tandoori roti's with it. The gravy was thin and watery and of the 3 roti's, two were burnt on one side and undercooked on the other side. Mukesh, we typically don't like to write negative reviews of places we love to visit but this is now the 3rd or 4th time this has happened in the past month or so and with you not being available at the restaurant I had to write this review to share my feedback. read more

I was introduced to Chaat at a Pakistani party I was invited to and fell in love! I craved it for months after until one of my aunts friends brought some over. I have tried a few places in Fremont since then so you could say I have tried enough to tell the difference between good and bad. I live in the area so I decided why not give the chaat place in my city a try (Chaat Cafe). I could now give you a couple reasons why not. I truly don't understand how this place is in business. I have visited three times (few months apart) and their chaat is absolutely terrible. I'm talking inedible, I literally had to throw out my food every time which I have only had to do at one other restaurant. I haven't bothered to try their non-chaat menu items as it is a chaat place. You'd expect they know what they're doing. I won't return. read more

Food score: 2/5 We tried 1. The plain fried papad (score -1/5) - dripping with oil that wouldn't come off despite trying to wipe off with a tissue 2. Bhel (score 2/5) - the mudi/murmura was soggy and the bhel itself was dry. The quantity however was generous but the lack of taste made the quantity pointless 3. Sev Puri (score 2/5) we asked for mild but this was strictly ok. Have had better elsewhere 4. Samosa (score 3/5) - the masala was not bad but the samosa itself had been refried and the dark shell gave it away, and the taste showed it too 5. Maybe it was an off day for them. Restaurant layout: you walk-in and order with the cashier. The menu has pictures with the descriptions. Easy to pick the food you want. Pay for the food and open seating available. We went to wash our hands and the server was out with our food in less an 2-3mjns after ordering. I know you are thinking "fast service". For Indian food it's tooooo fast, based on the time it takes to prepare. We ordered: chole bhature, salmon plate, chaat papri, and dahi vada. Yet all of the things came out in under 5 mins. The chole (garbanzo bean curry) was bland. Bhature (fried bread): stale, oily, and deflated (usually it is not). Salmon was not flavorful, rice was stale. Papri chaat was stale, gooey, just chips and yogurt. Not spiced well. The only descent thing was the dahi vada. Would not go back. Would not recommend to others. read more

I ordered a take out for shahi paneer and chicken tikka masala, they used the same gravy for both and chicken and paneer were dried up completely it almost felt unhealthy to eat the food so I ended up disposing my food . Horrible food!!! read more

I have tried this place years ago from the first time they opened I ordered butter chicken and naan last week I ordered the same thing. I was disappointed then still disappointed now. The location is very convenient, place is clean, service is okay. One star I gave is for the actual taste of food it taste like canned food or frozen type I would say Trader Joes Indian frozen foods are better. This is just my experience I still would advise for people to try. read more

Last night I ordered butter chicken after a very long time of not ordering from here and I was so disappointed with the quality of the food. The meat in the sauce was thinly sliced chicken breast that was extremely dry and stale. It tasted like they use pre-cooked frozen chicken. Not worth the price at all!!! Im giving it a 4 stars this time because the desi chicken wraps were very bland as if the chicken was not seasoned. The chutney was also very thick and not made well. Food is constantly good. Neat and clean place. Lunch menu is served fast and affordable. Overall great value.

I like this for a couple reasons. First if someone who is Indian says, "it's good and I eat there all the time", this is a good tip and should not be ignored. Secondly, the food is consistently good, ample portion, and priced at good value. My favorite is the Butter Chicken. I get the 12oz sauce only (no chicken) for $6.00. There sauce is amazingly good, with all the flavors one would expect from a sauce that taste like it has been stewing in the pot all day. Next the Garlic Naan is made to order. If you like garlic, you won't be disappointed, in fact, make it two orders, one for the take out and the other to munch on while driving home (don't fool us, you do it with French Fries, it's ok, your secret is safe.... Oh my god it was horrid. They were out of seekh kabob so I order a paneer tikka masala wrap with cucumber salad. The guy brings me a chicken wrap with potato salad. OKAY LET'S TRY THIS AGAIN ... He finally brings me the paneer tikka masala wrap. It was utterly flavorless and soggy. Even worse, the cucumber salad had zero flavor to it and it leaked water all over the plate and all over my sandwich. Epic failure of 3D IMAX proportions. read more

Hubby and I popped over for a quick lunch today....between 3 and 4 stars for their wraps. I am a huge fan of a Paneer Wrap....I first had one at this shop in Fremont.
