I've been a fan of Chaat Cafe since I first had it in San Jose (Blossom Hill)! The food is always fresh, well prepared, and generous portions. And I am so thankful and happy there's a Dublin location now! With the same quality and taste... and outstanding customer service. There's not many places I can buy a complete dinner for 2 for $22... hubby and I share a Chicken Tikka Masala dinner (comes with rice, naan, and veggies), an order of samosas, and order of veggie pakora - we're super full and satisfied. This is our favorite go to place for classic northern Indian style food with traditional flavored, especially in their chaat menu. More over, if you order a Dinner plate for anything on their list, you get naan, rice, one Dal and an additional side of Indian Veggie curry/dry which is flavorful and prepped really well. Excellent mango lassi, good tikka masala and butter chicken with fresh but ordinary naan all in a modern, casual, fast dining experience. The mango lassi, $3.49 was excellent. It puts Starbucks to shame. I think it may have been one of the best mango smoothies I've ever had. It was overflowing with mango flavor and was so smooth. It must have been made in one of those expensive flavor extractors or juicers? No way a cheap blender could produce the results of this outstanding drink. The kid brother had chi tea, $1.50 - he missed out. Good tikka masala and butter chicken. Tikka masala had good flavor and spices. I didn't finish and didn't bother to pack it up in a doggy bag. I preferred the tikka masala to the butter chicken. The butter chicken fell flat and just seemed too rich although both had generous portions of chicken. The naan was good and fresh but somehow disappointing. The last time I had naan was at a small eatery in Oakland. One of those hole in the wall kind of places with tea that came from an unreasonably tall and ridiculously ornamental dented metal tea pot. The naan from this Oakland eatery was as memorable as those awesome tea pots. The naan from this place, although fresh and beautifully baked lacked flavor. I could describe it as forgettable and not worth the calories. I would recommend getting their garlic naan. Maybe people like plain naan as there is enough going on flavor wise in the entree. I should have ordered some vegetables to balance out the meal. Ambiance was modern, clean... high ceilings, big windows. Felt more like a Starbucks I think lacked some personality. Perhaps everything would have tasted better, all things equal in a different building. I love restaurants where you walk in and it feels like your friends mom's house. Awkwardly located around the bend of Panera's drive-through at the far end of the East Dublin Target plaza, Chaat Cafe is a quaint Indian food place with a good selection of curries, wraps, apps, etc. The menu is limited as it is a cafe, not a full restaurant. Today, my mom and I decided to try this place out. She had the $5 chicken wrap (their lunch special) while I tried the Chicken Tikka Masala wrap ($7.99, comes with two wraps). Both had an option of fresh cucumber salad or potato salad. The wraps I would definitely say is more towards Indian fusion. There wasn't much of a tikka masala flavor for me, but it was delicious nonetheless (fried wrapping that I forget the name of, plenty of chicken). The portion is definitely hearty, and they came piping hot in foil wrapping, I only managed to eat one of the wraps and saved the rest. The same goes for the chicken wrap, which had red onions, cucumbers, and cilantro inside (I think). We both had cucumber salad on the side which was both fresh and refreshing. Overall, my experience was good. We came at opening so the place was bare, but 10 minutes later many people started to trickle in. Service was good as well, the man at the cashier was friendly and helpful for us first-timers. I will come again to try the curries, but for now this place only gets a 3-star from me with high hopes for an even better visit next time. read more

My friend ordered take out from this place a few years ago and I had the chicken wrap. It was delicious! That was the last time I ate there. Not because I was avoiding it, but just never got a chance to go back. A few days ago, my family and I finally got a chance to sit down and eat there. It was a Friday evening and it was busy. The food was delicious! We ordered the chicken briyani, samosas, pan puri and ofcourse naan bread and basmati rice for the kids. In the middle of taking our order, the guy answers the phone and started taking the order over the phone while taking our order too! Seriously? That's some skills. Then our food comes out one by one with about 5-10 minutes in between. Normally the appetizers then main course, but that wasn't the case here. The rice came out first and that is all we had for a while. I mean what are we gonna do with just the rice?...lol. The presentation of the food could use some help. It appears they just slap it on the plate. The plates were even too small for the portion. It was practically hanging on the edge of the plate. We asked for larger take out container and was told they only had the small size when we clearly see that some of the take out orders were placed in larger size containers. Come on dude.
