What an amazing experience! I haven't been to a Brazilian Steakhouse since I've been in Texas. Today was the day! Beautiful decor and ambiance. Great upscale feel, but also can be casual dress I believe is preferred. But! I did see people with shorts and rompers on as well. So it's up to the experience wanted. The food was really good. Many...many options on the buffet. Some were really good, and some so-so. It really will be personal preference. But the meat! Lord! Several kinds of steak cuts, along with sausage, lamb, chicken, and shrimp. Other sides that are passed include mashed potatoes, bananas, and cheese puffs. Before moving to the buffet, I enjoy a cup of lobster bisque soup. Delicious! Once we're were full, I asked for the pineapples. Here they are available but are a'la 'carte. They were so good and juicy! The touch of cinnamon just set it off. After this, we shared Tres' Leche' cake for dessert. Delicious and rich!!! If you're lactose...don't do it! Note: The pineapple was sweet enough for dessert, and it helps digest the meat. Maybe not a weekly experience at $70 per person, but I can experience it quarterly maybe. Definitely a repeat spot.

12.20.25 First let me say we have never been here before. We came here with some friends for dinner. The parking is a bit challenging. The whole parking lot is valet for tips. We did not know this, but now we do. The restaurant is quite large and they have large party tables in the back. (There was 17 of us) The waitstaff were incredible! Even with a large party it was great! Our drinks never went empty. We had wine, tea, cocktails, and Brazilian lemonade, which was fantastic!! So smooth and refreshing! The vegetable/salad bar had so many wonderful foods to choose from. Everything we got was top notch! The asparagus, salmon, small grilled potatoes, green beans were unbelievable. Everything was full of flavor and not overcooked. Ok now let's talk about the meat! Shrimp, sirloin and prime rib are what I choose. I passed on the chicken wings even though they looked yummy and some other meats. All the meats were cooked just the way I liked it. Everything was great. We had dessert as well, I had banana foster. It was good but not great. I think I would try a different one next time. All in all we had the BEST time here. We will definitely be returning here!!!! This is a MUST try place! (I forgot to take photos of our dinner-next time)

A m a z i n g! As someone who has gone to Brazil for an extended stay I can say Chama Gaúcha is a real experience and representation of Brazil! While taking a break from My no meat lifestyle I decided to give it try on My birthday and it did not disappoint. Let's start with My favorite part of the restaurant! - the salad bar which has so many hot and cold options to choose from. My go to is the roasted potatoes, avocado dish and shrimp cocktail. There is soups , salad varieties, and so much more. Next is the actual table experience. Anyone like playing red light / green light?! Given a card to leave on the table when ready for endless steak, shrimp, chicken, lamb You flip over to green. When You'd like to take a pause flip the card over red. Theres also waiters frequently stopping by to ensure You have all the sides necessary to accompany the meat varieties. From delicious white rice, mashed potatoes, plantain, and cheese bread better known as Pão de queijo The drinks are also worthy of mentioning. I've tried the native drink which is called Caipirinha made of rum. It's not My fave but worth trying. I'm sure it's made best on the beach of São Paulo. The margaritas on the other hand are delicious! Passion fruit is good but strawberry is the best imo. The bartenders bring the bar to Your table and will make anything of Your choice! I love that They have aged whiskies available upon request. I went during dinner time which I believe has a different price than the afternoon. If I'm not mistaken there is also the option to only partake in the salad bar. All together for two I believe our bill was about $200 including 3 drinks. As You enter the restaurant there is a bar and patio area separate from the dining area. There's also private rooms attached to the dining areas. It is located on westheimer near the galleria area and there is valet parking.

We went for lunch and made the right choice. Restaurant is very spacious and I found it nicely decorated. The service was really great and although you have a server, everyone is there to assist. We were sitting close to the salad bar and they had really good options, including lobster bisque. We ordered drinks, which were very good. I believe they were Caipirinhas. The meat was excellent. I enjoyed the lamb, steak, chicken, shrimp! It was all Delicious. I definitely recommend. We had zero complaints about our experience. They have a really nice atrium as well, it's next to the bar and we got some good pictures there.

Recently went back to Chama Gaucha after not going for 7 years. I have not been to a Brazilian steak house for so long, but I was in the mood for my birthday. Wow. I don't know why I stopped coming. We had the most incredible experience. The restaurant has changed so much, but the food is still amazing. This is still the best Brazilian steak house in Houston in my humble opinion. The service was a 10/10. They were so sweet, quick, and attentive. The managers walking the floor were just amazing. They should be applauded for how great they were. We brought our baby, and she luckily behaved and ate the fresh cheese bread which was delicious. We got a pitcher of the Brazilian lemonade and wow I am dying to already go back. I guess we have not been to a Brazilian steak house in so long due to so many other restaurants opening up in Houston. But I'm glad we went back and tried our original favorite. The ambiance and inside vibe is much better than I remember. It's lit up well, not too dark and not too loud. It was perfect for the occasion. The items we got- - Filet mignon - 9/10 - Garlic steak 10/10 - Picaña steak- 8/10 - Lamb Chop- 10/10 - Top sirloin- 10/10 - Cheese bread- 10/10 - Salad Bar- delicious!!! -Mashed potatoes - served at the table also 10/10 - Complimentary crème brûlée for my birthday 73838/10 We will be returning!

Everything was amazing. We had phenomenal service. My husband was frustrated because he likes a specific cut of meat. We mentioned it to the waitress and the staff was super friendly. I have a walking boot on and the waitress heard I was having surgery. She wrote such a wonderful sweet message. Small things that made my day vSalad bar was good. Loved the Brussels sprouts. I tried all the meats and can say you can't go wrong with anything they bring. So good.

The food quality, service and ambiance were great. We were celebrant daughter's 17 birthday and the whole family had a great time. The quality and the freshness of the food was excellent. We enjoy how all the wait staff worked so well together. Also, managers stopped by to ask how things were which was a great touch.

Figs!!!! So most people go to Chama Gaucha for the endless cuts of meat. Picanha. Ribeye. Costela. Frango. Lamb chops. Green to keep the meats coming. Red to stop. For me, though, it's about the salads. Cheese, smoked salmon, artichoke hearts, hearts of palm, olives. Love the different salads, Brussels sprouts, beets, mushrooms and potatoes. Figs, figs, figs!! Love, love, love the caramelized figs! Fresh figs. Cut in half. Then caramelized. So good. We actually got a few plates, and a bowl, of figs for our extended family graduation celebration. Try not to fill up on the Brazilian cheese bread. Pao de Queijo. Simple and gluten free, these light and airy puffs are made from tapioca flour, milk, cheese, eggs and olive oil. Addictively delicious. And don't forget the lemonade. So refreshing. So good! Chama Gaucha. Meats, salads or figs. Green or red. Go for an amazing taste of Brazil.

I love Brazilian steakhouses, and I always go to them multiple times every year. Out of all the Brazilian steakhouses in the Houston area, Chama Gaucha really is the best one. I have been going to them for special occasions for over a decade, and they have never disappointed me. They have actually gotten even better every visit in every aspect. The interior is clean, modern, and upscale, and the service is always exceptional. I had a reservation for a party of 4 in my most recent visit, and we were promptly seated as soon as we arrived. They have a wide selection of tasty salads, vegetables, cheeses, sides, and other dishes, toppings, and sauces at the buffet area. One of my favorites is the lobster bisque (available at the buffet area) which is rich and flavorful. Their appetizers and side dishes that are served at the table are also amazing. I especially love the Brazilian cheesebreads and the caramelized bananas. I always have to get the Brazilian lemonade pitcher whenever I come to Chama Gaucha; the Brazilian lemonade is flavorful but not too sweet, which is the perfect non-alcoholic drink to accompany all the steaks. Moving onto the best part of Chama Gaucha: the meats. Every cut is super high quality, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, juicy, and delicious. You really can't go wrong with any cut that you choose. Some of my favorite cuts include the picanha, garlic beef, ribeye, bottom sirloin, and the filet mignon. They also serve other proteins such as lamb, chicken, and shrimps (also one of my favorites). If there is a specific cut or protein you're looking for, that can be requested as well. Because we went to celebrate a birthday for my recent visit, we were also served a complimentary slice of cake of choice. We chose the Tres Leches cake, and it was easily one of the best Tres Leches cakes that I've had so far. The cake was spongy, mildly sweet, and overall just extremely tasty.

Came here to celebrate a special occasion with a party of seven. The service was amazing with servers being attentive to our food needs. The place was accommodating when we asked them to store our own cake. Everything is clean and the meat is cooked to individuals preferences. There's a stand for personal bags and the servers pull open the chair for you. Everyone loved the food and service, could not have chosen a better place to gather. Will be back for special events! Would recommend the shrimp, mashed potatoes, and the cappuccino coffee for desert.

I'm not usually a fan of Brazilian steakhouses but this place is a step above the rest. What stood out to me is the sides! Most steakhouses offer cold sides and salads and things which I HATE. But Chama Gaucha has lobster bisque, Brussels sprouts (which some kind of sauce that was great!) a variety of potatoes, pork belly, and sautéed mushrooms. They were all so good!! As far as meats, I enjoyed some cuts more than others. Most lacked flavor or I'd seemed to receive a more cooked piece rather than the medium rare I desired. But they also have shrimp and chicken! My family enjoyed the shrimp. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was my grandmas birthday and they happily held her cake in the fridge until we finished our meal. They also cut it for us. Their staff was noticeably slow though. There's also a beautiful patio area that is very tropical garden like with tvs and hookah if you like that kind of thing. I really enjoyed it here I'll be back! :)

This is an extremely beautiful Brazilian steakhouse with amazing staff, that genuinely care about great service from the moment you enter. Until the moment you leave, went during lunch had a few old fashions which were incredible and of course hit the salad bar. Everything was fresh and tasty, as the meats came out they smelled amazing and taste even better. There was amazing flavor in every different cut and they were cooked to perfection!

came back to Chama Gaucha on a weekday this time as usual :) and service was on a much much better level staff really made sure to ask us which cut/type of meat we would want after serving all cuts (def ask for the filet mignon, and picanha) ambiance is classic as always, very crowded despite it was a Wednesday very glad the restaurant is doing great and live up to its name!

All the above EXCEPT desserts are included in buffet price.

Cakes are allowed. They will put it in the back for you until you are ready for it to be served. They will even offer extra small plates and a knife.

    Is dessert included?

No dessert is not included in the buffet price. But they do have various options for you to choose from for an additional price. Also drinks are not included either in case you were wondering.

    Do the have patio dining?

Yes, there's an outside area that's closed off. It has fire pits as well.

    Is it halal?

    No ..... definitely not

Do they do parties like maybe of 12?

Under normal circumstances, yes they love parties of 12 or more. With the current situation with the Covid virus, I would call and ask first.

Does the happy hour menu include the salad bar?

The salad bar is included on the lunch and dinner menus at a discounted price.

Do they have a la cart menu too?

Yes they did. We didn't look at it , so I'm not sure if it is fixed or changed due to covid.

Yes, at a discount rate too.

Could I get the buffet to go? Like how some buffet places.. they give you a box and soup box or whatever.. to fill?

I don't believe they sell "by the pound". I do think you can buy a bag of the cheese bread and they do have a "bar menu" where you can just purchase a serving of the meats.

For the table side service, are the sides that are on that menu included in the $52.95 or are those paid for separate?

    Everything is included.

Are shrimp available in the lunch rotation?

    Yes they are

Can you just do the salad bar for dinner?

Yes, and it is at a lower price.

I ate at Norigami Tuesday night and it was great as were the cocktails served up at the nextdoor bar called Hidden Bar. It is equally beautiful served with a clear bay leaf and delicious. Last night, I was guided by the friendly bartender to try the Et Tu Banana" ($15) with Banana Bourbon, Spiced Pear, Creme de Banane, Campari and Citric Acid. I was a little worried about the cocktail being overly banana-y but it wasn't at all. It was a fantastic drink. For my last call, he recommended the Left Hand ($13) with Bourbon, Campari, Sweet Vermouth and Chocolate Bitters. Again, fantastic. Both nights, the bartenders and drinks were fantastic. You can see their happy hour menu on their website. Greg (the bartender) is the absolute best! It was like he read my mind and brought me a drink right when I was going to ask for one on multiple occasions. This place is so spacious with plenty of seating! There's even the "Roxy Room" upstairs which you can rent out for any private events. For the food, you order at one of the food stands that you like and receive a text when it's ready to get picked up. I was so torn inbetween all the options that were presented to me, but decided to go with Blk Mkt Birria. Their birria tacos were great! There was something slightly spicy about them (maybe the tortilla since it was a literal red color?) so if you are SUPER sensitive to spice I wouldnt order these. They did have limited edition Birria Tamales which I just HAD to try. Honestly they were just a tad bit dry on their own but drenching it in the Birria consommé (which is what the consommé was meant for) it was great! I need to come back here to try all the other food vendors! I already know the bar is a vibe so I gotta see if each genre of food will have my mind blown :) Next time I come, I do wanna try Mad Dogs, the Pita-Ria, Seoulside, Bird Haus, or Cvche. But I only have one stomach so I think it'll take multiple times coming here to try all the food I want, but it's ok it's totally worth!

It comes in 3s so plenty of food. Also ordered a side of guacamole. I was stuffed by the end. Did not have room of dessert. Would go back to try the other food stalls. Nice ambiance with music playing in the background.

I didn't have a car and this place is conveniently across the street, so it became the default option. I remembered my first experience wasn't great, but I couldn't recall exactly why--this second visit quickly reminded me. When I ordered over the phone, I was a little taken aback to learn they don't use traditional Mexican white cheeses like Oaxaca or queso fresco--only mozzarella. That honestly stumped me, and the woman on the phone could probably tell by my pause. The tacos themselves were good, but very small. They also came with only one corn tortilla instead of the usual double tortilla you'd expect from street tacos. On top of that, the order was five tacos instead of the more common six for around the same price point ($14.99), which seems to be a growing trend but still feels disappointing. There were no complimentary chips and salsa, so I had to order those separately. The upside is that the salsa selection was actually pretty good. I also ordered fries, not realizing they were $7. While the portion was decent, they definitely didn't feel like a $7 side--more in the $4-$5 range. Overall, the tacos did satisfy my craving, but not enough to make this a go-to spot. Paparucho will likely remain a last-resort option for me when I'm craving Mexican food and don't have many other choices nearby.

My server Yonn? was so pleasant and even recommended some things for me to try. Now everyone knows i am a soup head. They had the best chicken soup which comes with rice, carrots and potatoes. I also tried the buffalo wings which had a lovely kick to them. When i came back the 2nd time i ordered the same thing. Lol and i also got a mango margarita the first visit and a strawberry the second time. I would definitely recommend and make sure to ask for Yolien P! He was the best!

Several different seating areas, so you can find your spot whether you're there for the game or just grabbing drinks with friends. Service was solid, and the drink selection is genuinely good. Happy hour runs 11 to 6, which is a nice window if you're planning ahead. Didn't get a chance to try the food this time, so can't speak to that, but I'd recommend this spot at least for drinks and good company. They've got darts too if you want something to do between matches. Will be back to actually try the menu.

Well, it turns out, there was a World Cup soccer match going on. The place nearly cleared out after the game was over. Anyhow, when the place was packed it was very loud. But once it cleared out, not bad. Upon arrival I learned the hard way that it's open seating. I stood at the entrance for about 5 minutes and then was told to find whatever open seat I could find. We mainly went for drinks but decided "what the heck" and ordered food. The buffalo wings were good but not great. Same with the Marinara pizza. I was impressed with the size and the crust was pretty good. I suggest adding jalapeños to it. We also ordered a sushi roll (who knew you could order that and they just get it from Sushi on Post Oak next door). That roll was pretty good but also very pricey. Overall, pretty good experience and I'll be back. Parking lot is also large with plenty of spaces which I appreciate.

I stopped in on a Friday evening for a night cap. The bar is a pretty decent size and they have their own parking lot. They have a large patio out front and there was plenty of seating indoors as well. It's a sports bar so there were a lot of TVs throughout. They also have arcade games including Skee Ball and Pop-A-Shot. The menu had beer, wine, and cider, but they do have a full bar. I didn't see any specialty cocktails on the menu so I just asked the bartender, Marc to make me a gin based cocktail. Marc came up with his version of a Corpse Reviver. It had a tart, yet fruity twist to it. I can't recall all of the ingredients he used, but I liked it. I also had a Gimlet which was really good. Marc informed me about The Railyard shot special. Any time a train rolls by, you can purchase a vodka based shot for $2. I'm not much of a shot person, but I went ahead and ordered a White Tea shot. It was really good. Everyone in the bar was friendly and I appreciated the diversity of the clientele. Super chill place, just as a dive should be.
