What an amazing experience! I haven't been to a Brazilian Steakhouse since I've been in Texas. Today was the day! Beautiful decor and ambiance. Great upscale feel, but also can be casual dress I believe is preferred. But! I did see people with shorts and rompers on as well. So it's up to the experience wanted. The food was really good. Many...many options on the buffet. Some were really good, and some so-so. It really will be personal preference. But the meat! Lord! Several kinds of steak cuts, along with sausage, lamb, chicken, and shrimp. Other sides that are passed include mashed potatoes, bananas, and cheese puffs. Before moving to the buffet, I enjoy a cup of lobster bisque soup. Delicious! Once we're were full, I asked for the pineapples. Here they are available but are a'la 'carte. They were so good and juicy! The touch of cinnamon just set it off. After this, we shared Tres' Leche' cake for dessert. Delicious and rich!!! If you're lactose...don't do it! 12.20.25 First let me say we have never been here before. We came here with some friends for dinner. The parking is a bit challenging. The whole parking lot is valet for tips. We did not know this, but now we do. The restaurant is quite large and they have large party tables in the back. (There was 17 of us) The waitstaff were incredible! Even with a large party it was great! Our drinks never went empty. We had wine, tea, cocktails, and Brazilian lemonade, which was fantastic!! So smooth and refreshing! The vegetable/salad bar had so many wonderful foods to choose from. Everything we got was top notch! The asparagus, salmon, small grilled potatoes, green beans were unbelievable. Everything was full of flavor and not overcooked. Ok now let's talk about the meat! Shrimp, sirloin and prime rib are what I choose. I passed on the chicken wings even though they looked yummy and some other meats. All the meats were cooked just the way I liked it. Everything was great. We had dessert as well, I had banana foster. While taking a break from My no meat lifestyle I decided to give it try on My birthday and it did not disappoint. Let's start with My favorite part of the restaurant! - the salad bar which has so many hot and cold options to choose from. My go to is the roasted potatoes, avocado dish and shrimp cocktail. There is soups , salad varieties, and so much more. Next is the actual table experience. Anyone like playing red light / green light?! Given a card to leave on the table when ready for endless steak, shrimp, chicken, lamb You flip over to green. When You'd like to take a pause flip the card over red. Theres also waiters frequently stopping by to ensure You have all the sides necessary to accompany the meat varieties. From delicious white rice, mashed potatoes, plantain, and cheese bread better known as Pão de queijo The drinks are also worthy of mentioning. I've tried the native drink which is called Caipirinha made of rum. It's not My fave but worth trying. I'm sure it's made best on the beach of São Paulo. The margaritas on the other hand are delicious! Passion fruit is good but strawberry is the best imo. The bartenders bring the bar to Your table and will make anything of Your choice! I love that They have aged whiskies available upon request. I went during dinner time which I believe has a different price than the afternoon. If I'm not mistaken there is also the option to only partake in the salad bar. All together for two I believe our bill was about $200 including 3 drinks. We went for lunch and made the right choice. Restaurant is very spacious and I found it nicely decorated. The service was really great and although you have a server, everyone is there to assist. We were sitting close to the salad bar and they had really good options, including lobster bisque. We ordered drinks, which were very good. I believe they were Caipirinhas. The meat was excellent. I enjoyed the lamb, steak, chicken, shrimp! It was all Delicious. I definitely recommend. We had zero complaints about our experience. Recently went back to Chama Gaucha after not going for 7 years. I have not been to a Brazilian steak house for so long, but I was in the mood for my birthday. Wow. I don't know why I stopped coming. We had the most incredible experience. The restaurant has changed so much, but the food is still amazing. This is still the best Brazilian steak house in Houston in my humble opinion. The service was a 10/10. They were so sweet, quick, and attentive. The managers walking the floor were just amazing. They should be applauded for how great they were. We brought our baby, and she luckily behaved and ate the fresh cheese bread which was delicious. We got a pitcher of the Brazilian lemonade and wow I am dying to already go back. I guess we have not been to a Brazilian steak house in so long due to so many other restaurants opening up in Houston. But I'm glad we went back and tried our original favorite. I love Brazilian steakhouses, and I always go to them multiple times every year. Out of all the Brazilian steakhouses in the Houston area, Chama Gaucha really is the best one. I have been going to them for special occasions for over a decade, and they have never disappointed me. They have actually gotten even better every visit in every aspect. The interior is clean, modern, and upscale, and the service is always exceptional. I had a reservation for a party of 4 in my most recent visit, and we were promptly seated as soon as we arrived. They have a wide selection of tasty salads, vegetables, cheeses, sides, and other dishes, toppings, and sauces at the buffet area. One of my favorites is the lobster bisque (available at the buffet area) which is rich and flavorful. Their appetizers and side dishes that are served at the table are also amazing. I especially love the Brazilian cheesebreads and the caramelized bananas. I always have to get the Brazilian lemonade pitcher whenever I come to Chama Gaucha; the Brazilian lemonade is flavorful but not too sweet, which is the perfect non-alcoholic drink to accompany all the steaks. Moving onto the best part of Chama Gaucha: the meats. Every cut is super high quality, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, juicy, and delicious. You really can't go wrong with any cut that you choose. Some of my favorite cuts include the picanha, garlic beef, ribeye, bottom sirloin, and the filet mignon. They also serve other proteins such as lamb, chicken, and shrimps (also one of my favorites). If there is a specific cut or protein you're looking for, that can be requested as well. Because we went to celebrate a birthday for my recent visit, we were also served a complimentary slice of cake of choice. I'm not usually a fan of Brazilian steakhouses but this place is a step above the rest. What stood out to me is the sides! Most steakhouses offer cold sides and salads and things which I HATE. But Chama Gaucha has lobster bisque, Brussels sprouts (which some kind of sauce that was great!) a variety of potatoes, pork belly, and sautéed mushrooms. They were all so good!! As far as meats, I enjoyed some cuts more than others. Most lacked flavor or I'd seemed to receive a more cooked piece rather than the medium rare I desired. But they also have shrimp and chicken! My family enjoyed the shrimp. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was my grandmas birthday and they happily held her cake in the fridge until we finished our meal. They also cut it for us. Their staff was noticeably slow though. There's also a beautiful patio area that is very tropical garden like with tvs and hookah if you like that kind of thing. Came here for a friend's birthday party. Parking is complimentary valet only with tips appreciated. The restaurant is quite large. The ambience was modern with warm lighting. All staff were kind and accommodating. This was my first time at a Brazilian steakhouse so I was pretty open minded to the concept. Each guest had a paper chip with one side green the other side red. Green meant to keep bringing food and red meant stop. They served mini bread at the table. I did not try it, but it smelled good. Majority of the guest at the table ordered side cars and Brazilian lemonade. Once everyone showed up we stood in line for the salad and sides buffet. A major downside was no placards were visible to tell you what dish was what. One of the party guest had a seafood allergy so she was very leary as to what dish had what. Needless to say she didn't try many sides. There was no hand sanitizer before touching the serving utensils either. There was no clear direction as to how to proceed around the buffet so a lot of patrons were confused and the line was long. I had the arugula salad from the salad bar and that was it. The other sides did not look appetizing to me. The arugula salad was amazing and fresh. Once at the table waiters served sides from a bowl. No sides or meats were stationary at the table. If you enjoyed a particular side/meat you had to wait for them to bring the dish around again. They served mashed potatoes which were delicious, charred mozzarella cheese, Parmesan crusted chicken, chicken wings, bacon wrapped filet mignon, steak, lamb, and shrimp. I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb, bacon wrapped filet mignon, steak, and the Parmesan crusted chicken. It was hard to get a refill on water once the waiters came out with the food. I asked three different people for water and the last person came back with a pitcher of water to replenish the table. It took a long time to get the bill, because there were twenty five people at the table. They got several people's bill wrong due to confusion. If you had an alcoholic or a mocktail beverage those guest had written tickets that needed to be collected/added to their bill. Waiters were charging people who did not eat, but got a drink for the dinner price. This dinner was definitely expensive. Be prepared to pay $80 bucks or more for your dinner. Dinner fee was $64.95 per person, $5.36 food/non-alc tax, 20% automatic gratuity which was $12.99. Therefore I paid $83.30. People who had drinks bills were $100 plus. Side note the women's bathroom is small with 3-4 stalls for a large restaurant and is at the front of the restaurant. I would like to try this place again, but for lunch when it is possibly not as crowded. read more

When I returned recently for another event, I was hoping that my memories were accurate. I was not disappointed. It is completely correct to describe dining here as an experience. From the moment I walked in, the attention I was given was noticeable. The server came to ask us what we would like to drink and explained each option when asked, including flavor nuances and ingredients. The citrus chama spritzer was amazing! A combination of sweet and tangy with a fizzy kick. And those appetizers! There seemed to be a never ending supply of cheese bread balls, which were absolutely scrumptious. I had to make an active decision to stop eating them in order to save space for dinner. It was a wise choice. The salad bar had plenty of options, including pasta, cheese and the aforementioned salads. And then it was time for the main course. I love the table service of revolving meats. Most of the lot is Valet parking because it's in the same strip with a lot of trendy restaurants. We were quickly seated and directed to the salad bar until the meats started circulating. The salad bar was nice with several options for both hot and cold sides. Hot: mushrooms, potatoes, Brussels & chicharrones Cold: Caesar/Berry salad, melting mix, cheeses, smoked salmon, cucumbers, tomatoes, okra, chick pea salad & several more Staff brought the Brazilian cheese bread & mashed potatoes to the table as well. I didn't like that the grilled pineapple was a la carte vs rotation with the meats as well. Cost is about $65 each, so if you love meat, this is a good option. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the way we were treated at Chama Gaúcha Brazilian Steakhouse this past Friday night. We had an 8:30 pm reservation, were seated, and then essentially ignored for most of the evening. Our drinks took an unreasonably long time to arrive, and we had to repeatedly ask different servers just to get basic service. The most unacceptable part was the meat service, which is the main reason people come here. Multiple servers walked right past our table over and over without stopping, despite our cards being open and clearly visible. We were ready to be served, yet completely overlooked. What made this even more upsetting was watching another couple seated next to us after we arrived receive constant attention. Servers went to their table frequently, offering them cut after cut, while we sat there being ignored. The difference in treatment was obvious and unacceptable. This was not a cheap dinner, and the level of service we received was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. We left feeling frustrated, unwelcome, and questioning why we were treated so differently. For a restaurant that claims to provide a high-end dining experience, this was a complete failure. Came in for Father's Day dinner. They have complimentary valet up front, so that's really convenient. We had a reservation for 4, so we didn't have to wait long for our table. The restaurant is very pretty, the decor is nice and dark and our waitress was very nice. The meat selection was very good, everything tasted delicious. In comparison to Fogo and Gauchos, I think I preferred the meat here. However, I'd say Fogo had a superior salad bar they have more options in my opinion. The food was delicious. The "salad" bar is enormous but I only chose to get one plate full to save space for the meat. The picanha was my favorite, followed by ribeye and the lamb chops. Nearly everything else was delicious. The only meat I didn't like was the pork sausage, but that was just personal flavor preference. Both deserts were delicious. The Lemonade was very strange. It was frothy and very strong. But the taste seemed artificial like the smell of dish soap. My only real complaint was that there were unexpected costs. Prices for things like drinks and deserts are not listed so I assumed they were part of the large list of things that ARE included. When paying that much for a meal it is an easy assumption that non alcoholic beverages are included - they are not. Sodas were provided in a can and were $3.50 each. Have been here now once for my birthday, and the second just recently for thanksgiving. I honestly felt like the quality of the meat tasted better than I remembered. On the pricier sides, so we only really come here for special occasions. Medium rare cuts were the way to go for me. The meat that was memorable to me was the steak! We love Brazilian Steakhouses! We've visited the one in SATX and loved it there too. Went here to celebrate birthdays. We had reservations at 6pm on a Friday. When we arrived, we were seated right away and were given an option to sit in the busy area or more quiet area. We chose the quiet area. In short -- everything was delicious and worth it. Longer version below for newcomers who don't know what to expect... For any newcomers-- this is an all you can eat steakhouse! The only thing we didn't like was -- we were bombarded immediately with drink options and we haven't even sat down yet. It was happening too fast and so many surrounded us. We were all overstimulated. They brought over a purse rack for us and we were seated. The lady spoke so quick and it was hard for us to understand her. Once you're seated, they'll take your drink orders and offer you alcoholic beverage options. They also have a bar cart going around constantly. Then they'll send you off to the salad bar to begin. They have various selections of greens salads, pasta salads, potatoes and cheese. I loved their cheese! We are a meat-based family so we didn't really go for any of the salads. After they see that you're done with your salad plate, the server will give you a new plate for your meat. You have a little square card -- "yes, please!" And "no thank you!" for you to flip as you eat. Gauchos/passadores (servers who come around table to table with different types of meat) will stop at your table and ask if you want. The tongs at your table is for you to grab your slices of meat to place on your plate. Everything was delicious. They served us sirloin, filet mignon, bacon wrapped filet mignon, chicken wings, picanha, shrimp, lamb chops, lamb roast, beef ribs, ribeye and chicken Parmesan. Some were a little too salty for my tastebuds. They serve endless and plenty of side dishes. We had, mashed potatoes, Brazilian bread, fried banana and polenta. The servers and people who bring out the food are always attentive and friendly. The ambiance is always nice since they dim the lights. The only complaint I have is that the tables can be quite close to each other to the point where I am able to hear another party's conversations pretty clearly. Not sure if you are going to improve or instead go back for better quality service, timely service and more tasty meet that you had before, time ago. Today we were there with the family, we have been there before, many times. As soon as we arrived there, we asked for the meats that we wanted and how we wanted. They took more than 30 minutes to give us few pieces of meat very raw ....... so no way to eat any and then they took more than 20 minutes to give the first pieces of what we asked for. In addition, we were amazed that the servers did NOT know well, at all, what is 1/2, 3/4, medium well and well done meats. Time ago they had servers who knew well what they were doing, what they were serving and how to do. It is GONE, we may not go back any more, very expensive and down for that experience. How to go back to wait an hour to receive the first pieces of the meat that you asked for ???? Instead eat meat, we have not choice but eat from the salad bar as they took about an hour to serve first pieces of meat that we asked, and not very tasty as expected. I haven't been here in two years since moving to the Bay Area in California. Luckily, I took my brother out here for his first Rodizio/Churrasco experience yesterday January 14th, 2025 for an early birthday dinner since I'm flying back to California next week. Looking back at previous responses, Ilenia, if you can please give a lot of credit and thanks to Christina who was our initial server, she was phenomenal. As a matter of fact your entire team last night handling our table at 25/6 were amazing! I'm currently looking at my receipt and also see the names of Server: Fernando and Cashier: Rosalba who may have also assisted us. I'm unfamiliar with a gentleman assisting our table but I do believe that Rosalba was the other sweet lady taking care of us. My brother was very impressed with the service and he is looking to eventually take a lucky lady out for a dinner experience here in the near future. I'm actually feeling a bit bad that this is first experience, but regardless of the matter, he has fallen in love with your interior of your restaurant, as well as the service. His favorite meats he has shared were the Picanha, and Ribeye. The Pão de Queijo was bomb as per usual. I'll be the first to say, your Pão de Queijo is the best tasting and most consistent out of all the Churrasco's I've been to. I hope to be back on a future visit to Houston and I'll make sure it's sooner than two years. For those looking for specific details, I highly recommend coming on a weeknight to have that amazing cultured customer service with genuine interaction. Parking isn't as bad on the weekends and valet is still complimentary, but I highly suggest tipping the drivers. Dinner for both my brother and I were $61.95 per person as I like to be transparent. Wow! My husband and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary and decided to try new places for our meals. This is where we went for lunch. There were so many choices on the salad bar, including a cheese bar. I enjoyed all the cuts of meat offered. My favorite things were the figs on the salad bar that had a crème brule crust. Yum! The restaurant was extremely busy, especially for the middle of the week and lunch time. We had to ask for the sides twice, but they finally brought them. I do think the lunch price is too pricey. What we paid for each of us was what I would have expected for dinner price. Overall, we would definitely return. read more
