So I have a new personal hero. His name is Eddie Rush and he was my sales representative for the purchase of my new Acura Integra at Chapman Acura of Tucson. I had been waiting for over 10 weeks for a car from a dealership in Tempe for a car I reserved and put a deposit down for. Twice it was supposed to be there and twice it was sold to someone else. I was heartbroken and felt totally betrayed by the other dealership so I didn't even want to try anymore but I needed a new car and I wanted the one I had reserved. I took a shot in the dark and called Chapman Acura and the car that they did have was sold however two days later Eddie called to follow up with me and told me that they were taking delivery on the car I wanted in just a few days. I had heard this before for the past few months so I was skeptical. Fast forward a few days later I went to Tucson and picked up my new baby just like Eddie promised me. Back in July 2021 we went in to Chapman Acura after looking online on at one of their used vehicles. It was a 2007 Toyota Avalon. We got there and met with David Valenzuela who we had previously talked with to discuss what we were looking for. A fellow co worker had him a sales rep and recommended him to us. We get to Chapman Acura, we test drive the Toyota Avalon, Negotiated a price, got approved, signed all the paperwork, went home, took a nap, ate lunch and got a call only to find it out it had already been sold the PREVIOUS Saturday. False advertisement! So after all that mess, we decided to test drive a 2012 Toyota Corolla. Come to find out, we can't test drive it because they have the engine all tore apart due a check engine light being on. So we sat in it to see if it would even work for us. They ended up putting a newer engine it which took over a month for us to get the car back. They did give us a rental which was appreciated. Now, since August we have been trying to get our license plates. My husband has called and talked to David several times and he just gives him another temporary. I have left 4 messages with Patrick who Davids supervisor, and the general VM (cause no one answers the phone) and I have NOT heard back from anyone. We are so done. We just want our license plate please and be done with Chapman forever. This place is ridiculous. They really dont care about their customer. They have MAJOR FALSE Advertising! Terrible customer service. Dishonest and NO INTEGRITY. Will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Chapman Acura is in my hometown where I now have a vacation home. In the last couple of years I have had occasion to need service on short notice prior to returning to my principal residence in San Diego. Most recently I needed a "B" service on very short notice because of a tight schedule. The scheduling person was extremely helpful and got me right in. The service personnel were very friendly and efficient. My service was quickly completed while I had a cup of coffee and read the newspaper. I almost didn't recognize my dusty car with bugs on the windshield because it had been beautifully washed in the short time that my service took. I also got to sit in a vintage 1991 Acura NSX and compare it to the new NSX while I waited. What fun! This is really a great dealership and service department. read more

I love this dealership! We spend our winters in Tucson every year and I always have some type of service that I need while in Arizona. I enjoy coming in and waiting for my car as the dealership is very clean, restrooms spotless, waiting room comfortable with drinks and snacks. Justin was my rep on this last visit and he was very courteous giving me a detailed report with photos with the items they suggested needed work. Great salesman with a shady sales manager. Was looking at vehicle and was working with Eddie he was extremely nice, very accommodating, and immensely helpful. I was ready to buy a car on the lot and took it to a local shop for a purchase inspection. Mechanic found problems and they were costly. I went back with the mechanics report and at that point I ended up dealing with the Sales manager. He not only was condescending and aggressive he basically called me and the shop liars. He assured me the car would be checked out but would not repair the problem to make the sale. Yet when I drove by the next day the car was back out on the lot waiting for a less informed buyer to purchase a $19K vehicle that needed a $4K repair. Eddie is great and was really easy to work with but the sales manager was quite the opposite. The fact they put a vehicle with a problem with the steering back on the lot without a repair speaks a great deal about the integrity of this dealer. read more

When I have to use jumper cables on my car before 8 AM, I'm not going to be a happy camper. However, the folks at the Chapman Acura service center made the rest of my day go as smoothly as possible. I pulled right in, dropped off my car, and sat in the lounge long enough to have a sip of water before I was shuttled off to work. The attendant who drove me was knowledgeable, nice, and a very safe driver in a tempting car. Once I received notice that my car was finished, I spoke with another driver (Dave) who was very pleasant on the phone. He came by to get me, held up his end of the conversation, and dropped me back at the service center. Once inside, I was only there long enough to have a complimentary chocolate chip cookie before my vehicle was outside and ready to go. The whole process was so easy that I'd recommend them to anyone, and the complimentary car vacuum and wash almost made me forget about those 8 AM jumper cables. read more

I made arrangements to purchase a 2003 BMW m3. I put a deposit on the car in September and expected that the car would be taken to an independent shop for a pre purchase inspection. The salesman told me that there woul be a delay because the dealer couldn't remove the hard top. The delay turned into about three plus weeks. When they finally got the car to the independent shop the inspection turned up a number of things requiring expensive repairs. When I called to discuss the needed repairs that included an ill fitting hard top I was told that there never was a problem with the hard top. Instead the problem, they now said was with the soft top. That was a complete fabrication. When I showed them the various repairs needed they declined to negotiate any assistance so I passed on the car. Very poor customer service. read more

I have never had a bad experience with Chapman Acura. I live in Sierra Vista, AZ so minor maintenance I have done locally but any maintenance that involves more than minor I take to the dealership. I make an appointment, they greet me when I drive up, they hand me off to the rep we go over paperwork and what needs to be done as well as estimate, they give me a time frame, we get coffee, hook up to free WiFi, have coffee or watch the tv and read USA paper that is available. All and all they treat you very well and the car is done in time frame, papers signed, payment made and you are off in your newly complimentary washed car. Very good experience. read more

Be very careful and make sure you get a firm quotation before you have any service repairs carried out. This is the third (and final time) I've been stung by misleading information provided by the service personnel. In January 2015 I took my Acura 3.2TL into Chapman Acura due to a small transmission fault. Initially I was quoted around $130 by the service manager. Having returned home, I received a telephone call informing me that the repair had been carried out and required more parts than they had originally estimated. On receipt of the car I was charged $575.90. In June 2015 I took the car in to have the brakes tested. On receipt of the car I noticed that I had been charged twice for brake testing and a service charge. The garage agreed, apologized and offered a free service voucher to use in the future. On September 11th I took my car in because the blower had broken down. The service representative informed me that the wiring harness had burned out and needed replacing. He said the part costs around $20 and would take about an hour to fix as there was no need to open the bonnet (the blower motor is under the glove compartment). Just over an hour later the car was ready and I was presented with an invoice of $306 of which $260 was labor charges. I have to say I was astonished that Acura mechanics charge at $260 per hour! My advice to anyone using Acura's service facilities is to get a written quotation before you allow them to undertake any work. I have obviously learned my lesson the hard way and as I informed the service agent that I would never use Acura Chapman again, his reaction was unequivocally relaxed to say the least. He shrugged his shoulders and said "there's nothing I can do about it". I know they don't care about customer service, and there was my proof. I was hoping to build a relationship with Chapman and in the future upgrade my wife's Honda and my Acura to new models. Now we're going to investigate Lexus. read more

I was having some unusual trouble with my 04 TSX and was referred to Chapman by a friend of a friend. From the moment I walked in the office, Joe Cassano was such a delight! My car was in the shop for about 2 weeks as it was difficult for them to quickly find out what the problem was, but I have no complaints as Joe gave me a new TL to drive around. After putting 10k miles on the vehicle I scheduled an appointment with them because after an oil change at brake max they notified me my driver side rear shock was leaking. When I called and told them they scheduled me a service appointment. I live 40 minutes away but work in tucson and when I got off I waited for 3 hours for my appointment. When i came in they told me I need to make an appointment with o'Reilly Chevrolet because my vehicle is still under manufacturers warranty. I was upset and my time was completely wasted due to their incompetence. They could have simply told me that before scheduling my appointment with their service department and coming in. read more

Chapman Acura worked with us on a disagreement about our maintenance contract and resolved it to our satisfaction

We purchased a used 2010 MDX from Chapman 2 yrs ago with only 9000 miles on it (currently 21,000) and from day one always had one tire that would not hold air. We had to fill it back up about every 3 weeks. It finally started to get worse so my husband took it to Discount Tire as I was at work. He called me while there and stated he was told the tire couldn't be patched and needed to be replaced as there were two small holes close together and the repair wouldnt hold both. He was given two different prices for a replacement tire and then was told, "Oh no you can't get one of those as your car is all wheel drive so we will need to special order your tire for $275 and wouldn't be able to order it until Tuesday as the wharehouse was closed and its a holiday weekend. I told him I would call Chapman from work and see what they could do. Chris from service called me back and said if he could get the car there within the hour he could take a look at it and they had 8 of the Michelin in stock. My husband drove up there and even though we weren't pleased with the much higher price of $350 we were grateful that Chris got us in so quickly. Thank you Chris!! read more

Have been having our cars serviced at Chapman since our first Acura in 2010. They are not the cheapest. Yet, I feel they are very diligent on monitoring our cars. Totally professional staff in the Service Department. They give ratings as to how needed the service looks to them. Have had replacement or repairs that were much cheaper than what they had originally estimated because a minor tweak was needed. No hard sell if the service is declined. Repairs or services are done quickly usually with a free car wash. Waiting area clean and inviting. On our 4th Acura due to one being totaled and other purchased by family. read more

I worked with Johny Redoch who was a delight: professional, responsive, and worked hard to make the deal go through. I got a decent deal on an older, high mileage car and was initially concerned after our mechanic flagged some problems, Chapman followed up on part of what they said they would do (replace VERY worn front brakes) after some haggling. Now, however, they are refusing to help replace the tires which are close to worn (my mechanic says they are "goneso.") which they had indicated during the purchasing process they would do. So, DON'T BUY A USED CAR UNTIL YOUR MECHANIC HAS INSPECTED THE CAR. This is my second purchase from Chapman and I will not return. read more

UGH. This place is laughable to say the least. So I came here to inquire about tinting my car since I'm new to the land of the sun. A salesman who I can only describe as old enough to be my grandfather looked at my car from the dealership window and referred to it as a "late model"(it's a year old) and informed me that they only tint new cars that are bought at the dealership. I inquired how much it would be. They didn't know but would "get back to me". I almost laughed. I could/would expect snobbish behavior at a BMW/Benz dealership but ACURA c'mon Gramps. Anyway I found a fantastic place in town that tinted my car. Furthermore for all your Acura SERVICE needs there is a wonderful place that Yelp can direct you to at a fraction of the COST. The service department went above and beyond to help me get my sunroof fixed under warranty while stationed out of country. My sunroof was sticking and they tried fixing it a couple of times but I had to move to Germany before they could complete the job. And although there aren't any Acura dealers/service centers in Germany, Steve G. communicated with me via email and mailed me the right parts and instructions for a local Honda service center to complete the repair, then had Acura reimburse me for the labor costs. the dealership give great service as it should be, however, you can get the same service at half the price at tempe. so far i have gone twice to tempe to save on service. call to check a 140 usd basic service at chapman will cost you $ 70 in tempe. more complete services go up proporcionately in savings. read more
